Guy seemed knowledgeable, professional, but I have the same issue/problem. Thermostat sey at 72, can only cool to 78ish when it is hot outside. Other people don't have this problem just because it is very hot out.

Electrician came out claimed breaker box just had dirt and turned back on. Two days later fuse went out felt he didn't do a thorough job could have been fixed first time. We ended up paying out of pocket to get it fixed right away instead of growing through an approval process. Very disappointed first time we used Home Shield for a service call.

AHS did the very minimum required to repair my air conditioner on each visit for the same issue. After a month and three visits from the repairman the unit still doesn't work. Over a month with no air conditioner is bad. You need to just fix it right and save us all time, money and discomfort.

They lie about their coverage, they hire low budget unqualified contractors. They put you on the phone with people from Pakistan or India who you can't understand and they read from some type of speech they were taught to say. They raise your rates high and give poor service. Horrible service . They still haven't returned a call I've been waiting for .

They demand payment before even setting an appointment. If you don't have someone you know the ones who work for AHC are sketchy. They only patch the problems. I have been with them for years and they have progressively gotten worse. I will not sell another.

Not great value for the cost and first repair wasn't covered. Had someone else come out to fix my AC and the company AHS sent had mid-diagnosed the issue and was trying to charge $800 additional. The company who came out charged me $220 total including their service charge/time (I had already paid $125 to the AHS contractor for their misdiagnosis and do not think I should have had to pay that). My second service for our water heater was a better company and the $125 was reasonable for a fast and accurate repair.

On a recent air conditioner repair we had 2 visits without resolve. They told us we would need to tear out walls and have new lines installed. We called another company and they resolved the issue and it was only $90.00. We paid AMH $75 for service call on the home warranty???

Because everything that breaks, you don't cover. It's in the fine print. We have a leaking shower which is covered because we have a leaky pipes. But when the plumber gets out here, he says no it's your shower pan and we don't cover shower pans. But if the shower pan is what's causing the leak, I think your details are just wrong.

American Home Shield is a ripoff. Don't buy a warranty from them unless you read the entire contract. On the surface, they lead you to believe they will repair or replace anything that is covered but this isn't accurate. The amount of money they allow is miniscule compared to the actual cost of a major replacement or repair. You would be far better off putting the monthly fee into a home repair account. Given time, you would hopefully have more money on hand to cover a major repair, or replacement, than they would ever allow you.

The AC repairman said my evap coil was 100% clogged with mold & mildew. He looked at the coil, ran no test, didn't touch the coil and didn't reassemble the air handler. AHS declined the claim based on what was an opinion, they never verified it was & mildew. Then I get a quote of $1200 to clean the coil. When I looked up 2022 rates for coil clean it said one should expect to pay anywhere form $95 - $400 depending on the accessibility. After researching I found that it was a simple clean job that cost me $18 and now the air coming from my vents is 52 degrees.

I HAD YOUR SERVICE 20 YRS AGO AND IT WAS GREAT. ANYTIME SOMETHING WAS BROKE THEY FIXED IT, BUT MOST OF THE TIME THE JUST REPLACE THE ITEM. SO I THOUGHT SINCE MY HOUSE IS GETTING OLDER I WILL TRY YOUR COMPANY AGAIN. ALL YOU WANT TO DO NOW IS PUT A BANDADE ON THE ITEM TO FIX IT INSTEAD OF REPLACING IT. I HAD TECHNICIAN CONME LOOK AT ISSUE AND BEFORE HE EVEN LOOKED AT IT HE GAVE ME 3 REASONS WHEN MY HOME WARRENTY COMPANY WOULD NOT FIX IT !!!!! AND I NEVER HEARD FROM YOUR COMPANY ABOUT FIXING THE PROBLEM. SO I ASSUMNED HE WAS RIGHT.

Hard to talk to a PERSON about urgent needs; tv ad says they cover items regardless of age, but in my recent experience the failed a/c condenser was NOT covered for the part. Condenser was a 10-day back order and temp outside was 100+ degrees
