After 2 visits over a week, the technician found (possibly unintentionally broke) the evaporator coil on the working upstairs AC system. The AMS contractor wanted to us to pay $725 to replace the broken coil. I didn't understand why I would pay since its malfuntion was deemed by the contractor to be normal wear and tear. The AHS contract does not specify AHS's exceptions or limitation to the repair or replace in the contract. After calls three consecutive days to AHS representatives, We still don't have a schedule for repair. The temperature is 90 degrees in the house and we're in our 70's.

I think it's a big waste of money our first time using them we paid our 100 service fee just to have some guy come to the house just to talk down to my wife we had to do the work ourselves next time we again paid our 100 fee to have a company come to the house to look at our hot water tank we ended up having to pay to have a new tank put in cost of 850.00 I think AMS us a big waste of money

They send incompetent companies to work on my ac unit. The first company was named Service Pro out of Greenville. Charged me for freon with my contract said there was no charge. AHS has done nothing to help me get my money. Then they sent out May's AC out of Georgia. They over filled Mt unit by 3 lbs. Made the entire unit go out. I had to call someone outside of the warranty company to get my ac fixed after waiting 3 weeks without air.

Communication with customer service reps is poor. Having to purchase appliances before reimbursement is financially in convenient. I can save money in an emergency account for appliance emergencies and not have the stress of a last minuet major appliance bill.

disclosures for hvac system where not clear. help with my ac unit denied due to wear and tear of the condenser. condenser is outside. in time the sun and all the outside elements will eventually cosmetically damage the ac condenser.

I called, relatively easy, they sent a contractor to "fix" my appliance. 31 days later, that appliance broke again in the same way. I called back and had to pay ANOTHER DEDUCTIBLE for the SAME PROBLEM because it was over 30 days. That's ridiculous. The contractor is also not a good contractor.

I have made repeated calls t check on a service order, the representative assured me each time that I would be contacted within 48 hours, but to date, no contact has been made. Also representatives are nice and helpful, but hard to understand.

The way AHS contract out, does not give us transparency, as clients the way to check revise and protest when the contractors, try (most of the times) take advantage to generate additional work, that normally is out of contract, or they do argue that is out of code.

the quality of the contractors is very very variable. The last one I had (electrical) was fine, professional, competent. The plumbers I have had have been 99% incompetent, slow, broke more than they fixed.

We have had a claim for our A/C unit and it was denied, we had to buy a new A/C Unit and heater (the heater was damaged when water was dripping from the A/C unit). We were just recently denied our dryer claim even though a new motor is needed. The technicians have all been fine, it is just AHS not wanting to pay for anything to be fixed or replaced.

Because our request for a plumber with Plumbers Inc. was a bad experience. The contractor for American home Shield never completed the job of three leaky facuets and didn't get much support from American home shield. When my contract is over I will not renew because of the bad service. I feel we were ripped off. I pay good money every month and a $125 deductible and our experience was very bad. My wife dealt with AHS over the phone and didn't get the problems resolved. This company use to be ok, but the service today is not good.

I open a request back in may for AC after many days and weeks no one fixed the AC Airmax to this day none died my ac I got a call from AHS and was told I could cancel the request and AHS would refund the payment of cost of getting ac . Today is July 18 no ac no refund I would not request refund AHS did not tell me that was a option. I will not recommend AHS to friends or family
