Two years in a row I expressly called one month before my renewal date and gave instruction that I wished to renew on the date for a ONE YEAR subscription and not monthly. On both occassions I was told it had been renewed on a monthly basis. It literally hour on the phone to get corrected. At the end of every call I am asked to submit an evaluation but am only asked about the representative not the poorly designed robo-answering front end of flaws in the program itself. Very poor management above the sales and service levels.

This was my first service request since I became a member. It was for my doorbell, which was covered under the platinum plan. Be aware of the fine print, that if your doorbell needs a transformer, they will not cover it. Wasted my $100 service fee they charged.

American Home Shield, you say items are covered, but when my Subpump broke, it wasn't covered and that is not fair. The cost was over 700$. I'm wondering what else won't be covered ? And when my dryer over 20 years old was broken, you didn't replace it. I feel uncomfortable having a dryer over 20 years old.

Most recent experience was awful. Tried to call and hold time was excessive, so I initiated a chat on the web page and waited well over an hour before giving up. Technician they sent was totally off in his diagnosis and "not normal wear and tear" assertion. I paid out of pocket to bring in a reputable hvac company.

My A/C is not working. Contractor came one pound of freon and left without checking the unit. The A/C still didn't work. We can not get the contractor to return our calls. The contractor is Billy's A/C service in Hurt, VA. It's been 17 days since we requested service. Billy's is not accredited by the BBB. I don't know why AHS uses them. This is the second time I have had trouble with this contractor. ime, put in one e time and put in a pound of freonn

The techs assigned were awful at customer service, showing up as scheduled. To date, my service orders show complete and no one has ever come in my house. I called AHS and was told they couldn't switch because the companies (3) already picked the requests up. AND the fre A/C check stopped being available on the day the company never came. You guys are awful.

I've had this warranty for 18 years thinking it was a good insurance coverage, yet any time I tried to msje a claim it was met with obstacles, cheapest fixes, even though the labor to make the repair had to exceed a replacement. And most recently my air conditioner a coul went out and rather than upgrading to a new system with the new rqd refrigerant. AHS would only cover repair and refill with obsolete refrigerant. I took the option to replace myself with the vendor.

AHS has only 1 hvac company to service Birmingham Alabama. I called them on Monday to get service and was told the soonest availability would be Saturday just to look at my unit. I canceled my service call and made some calls to local companies and had out to my house in a couple of hours. So of course I had to replace my hvac system. Not going through AHS for service does not allow me whatever credit that they would allow to replace the unit.

Some of the contractors are absolutely awful. Replace the incorrect item and then you have to call over 50-times, literally, to get the issue resolved. I initiated a work order in April and as of June it is still NOT resolved. Customer Swevice is not located in the States, so the language barrier is very stressful. Constantly repeating yourself is tiresome and finally AHS has absolutely ZERO follow up or follow through! You're just left hanging in the balance.

They do not always provide the best repair option. Example: If the request is urgent, they still give repair dates too far out. I.e. weeks later. I have often contacted service outside of my AHS contract

3 phone calls concerning the pro contractor service offered through AHS. 3 representatives didn't understand about it. The dryer vent cleaning I just had was so confusing. I was told to only pay online. So, I called and asked about s link to pay. One representative argued that I didn't have a service appointment, another assured me that I had already paid(I hadn't of course), and the third said that AHS couldn't help me with that request.

Things get misdiagnosed and then you have to call again and pay additional service fees. You go through multiple visits to get anything fixed. I'm paying $600 per year plus the $100 service fees. I could save that money and use it to hire competent vendors who fix the problem immediately

Rude customer service, misleading policies, and the third party contractors they hire make it very clear that they do not work for me but work for American home shield. Mistakes are made on both ends and no one takes ownership and blames the other company. All around terrible experience and if I would have known this is what it was like I would not have purchased my home. At the very least I would have used another company

I have not been pleased with the response time on my last two service calls. I really am looking at other companies. I am very dissatisfied. First I thought it wad just me but them my sister informed me she is having the same trouble with your company and the response time. The competition is growing and so should your customer service techniques.
