Because our request for a plumber with Plumbers Inc. was a bad experience. The contractor for American home Shield never completed the job of three leaky facuets and didn't get much support from American home shield. When my contract is over I will not renew because of the bad service. I feel we were ripped off. I pay good money every month and a $125 deductible and our experience was very bad. My wife dealt with AHS over the phone and didn't get the problems resolved. This company use to be ok, but the service today is not good.

We have had a claim for our A/C unit and it was denied, we had to buy a new A/C Unit and heater (the heater was damaged when water was dripping from the A/C unit). We were just recently denied our dryer claim even though a new motor is needed. The technicians have all been fine, it is just AHS not wanting to pay for anything to be fixed or replaced.

I open a request back in may for AC after many days and weeks no one fixed the AC Airmax to this day none died my ac I got a call from AHS and was told I could cancel the request and AHS would refund the payment of cost of getting ac . Today is July 18 no ac no refund I would not request refund AHS did not tell me that was a option. I will not recommend AHS to friends or family

I have paid $125 twice for visits and AHS would not help. So, I paid $250 plus two monthly fees for nothing. Also, I got the feeling that AHS was working with my insurance company, reporting risks I should fix, but they (ASH) gave me no guidance or help with fixing issues.

the first repair guy, miss identd the problem after that I waited 2 weeks for parts I did not need. The next repair guy fixed it minutes with a part from his car. Then sent the parts back I did not need. air guy fixed it in 10 miutesair guy was great in 10 miuntes

Last year, I was told to ensure everything in house covered I needed the premium coverage. It was about $75 per month. Recently I had AC issues, and was told since I had multiple zones not covered. I feel lied too. I have had coverage for 4 years and rarely used it. Very disappointed

I was able to get someone on the line but getting my problem resolved was another story. It took months for the repair person to come over. I never received a call as to what the hold up was. I repeatedly called them with follow up once! Still my oven is not fixed. I have called back and no return call

1. Can't speak to a manager 2. They don't follow up to see if things went well. 3. My pool pump went bad, ands they sent a company out to fix it. They replaced it with one that isn't compatible. We haven't been able to use our pool since. It is still an issue. My jacuzzi doesn't work because the pump is too weak.

My central air and hearting unit recently needed replacing. I have been waiting on an answer about when I will get funds to assist with the cost. So far I have heard nothing. I am very disappointed with this insurance. I have paid consistently every month and not to get help in time of need is very disappointing. If this does not turn out in my favor I will discontinue my service and find another insurance.

I'm told my contract is expired, someone will call, I keep complaining that the vendor is rude and is trying to scam me out of my money. Have 2 homes with AHS and have been with AHS for 28 years. Over the past 5-7 years the vendors have gotten worse. It's impossible to reach management or supervisor, even sent and letter to headquarters and it was returned. Last October, it took AHS 7 weeks to decide to replace my my dryer. The process was too painful dealing with the back and forth between multiple vendors and AHS.

Have only turned in 1 claim for a 24 year old furnace that had the blower go out. Called around a week after the service guy they sent came because I had heard nothing. Had the furnace replaced on my own so I would have ac at the house. It has now been 2 days since I called and have still heard nothing about my claim. If I don't hear anything in the next 3 day I will be canceling.

Poor communication. Your company, upon me canceling my contract, sent a letter saying that no more payments to be taken from my account. And then a payment was taken from my account. I was told by your customer service person that we can't really see who sent that communication and, it was not valid. Also your company charges monthly, charges for every visit, and does Band-Aid fix his problems, costing me more money

Because 0 was not offered as an option. The customer service for AHS located is loacted 1/2 way around the world. They are all reading off a script aboutthe only thing they have memorized is the phrase "I am sorry"My initial call was on June 1st, it is now July 6th and nothing has been resolved. I have determined that only way to get a reaction from AHS is going to be through the court system. Can you say "Class Action"

Filed a service request a month ago and got a tech on site in 2 days. Our air handler was condemned, and we've been given the run around for weeks since by several departments at AHS. We pushed hard for updates and an install date, and we were blown off and made to feel stupid by their phone supported team working overseas. This has taken so long we've canceled plans and renters coming in thi summer.

When I enrolled in AHS. Many many years ago, I had the understanding that when I had a issue it would be repaired correctly. Not the case, it's just patched. My toilet was not flushing and all of the insides were bad & needed to be replaced.all that was replaced was the flushing part. The chain was rusted and the flapper needed to be replaced. AHS ONLY does the minimal, nothing else.

We waited almost 3 weeks for an a.c. repair, this was during a heatwave. We are in our 70s with heath issue's and temps in 108° to 112° heat index they did not even consider escalating our issue. Finally we called and ask to get our own people and upgrade to a better system than they would put in and pay the difference. We've been with AHS for almost 21 yrs . We would have to wait days for a supervisor to call us back.

The company they assigned us to MYERS comfort could never get our air conditioner fixed. We were without air for 3 weeks after 4 service calls. We ended up paying a reputable company to get it fixed. They told us we need a new air conditioner but for American home Sheild to pay anything we would have had to wait another 4 days for MYERS to come and dx the air conditioner needs to be replaced. We were tired of being hot and feeling bad.

We have had Anerican home shield for 15 years and they have sent a worker to our condo to supposedly fix our hvac and he took the panel off the compressor and shorted out our system and the representative said it was a power surge and not their fault and we are cancelling American home shield (2 separate homes) and will never give a policy to a customer again or recommend them ever !!!!!!!!

I was charged $1600 for the AHS vendor to install my AC. No parts were replaced or used. I complained to AHS and the only option I was given was to take a cash payout or pay the 1600. I tried to contact HQ in Memphis and was always routed back to the Phippines. Congratulations AHS has perfected call avoidance. The Vendor StILL will not tell me what the $1,600 charge was for. All I was told was it was non-negotiable. I was left with no choice. Get ripped off or make my family and elderly relative live in the Texas heat without A/C.
