What a disappointment! Our claim was denied as a "pre existing" condition and therefore, not covered. The representative had a strong accent and was difficult to understand. Crazy excuses were given to me in addition to the pre-existing excuses... Years ago this company was so much better ~ now it is completely horrible.

I currently have 2 open service calls, both now 3 weeks, fridge is not cooling and water heater is broken. Multiple people have come to fix it and still broken. AHS keeps sending different people. At what point can we say its broken an replace? My kids can't keep taking cold showers and we can't use a coleman forever.

I have been a American Jo.e Shield customer for at 4 years and have had to call the twice once for s ceilings fam that that they never fixed these people just take your money and then when it comes fixing thing they find they me or do and say it's not covered in your contract

Hours after Nick came out my unit blew up. Nick then came back out and said that fire was caused by a power surge. I reached out to Georgia power as well as my neighbors and. I one had a power surge. Georgia power has no record of a power surge on the day of the incident. It is July 22nd and I have been without air for weeks

I have been with this company for over 7+ years and have never heard that my rate could increase due to the number of claims. My rate has just doubled from $52.00 per month to 99.00 per month. Very disappointing!!!!!! BEWARE!!!

Stay Away....was a paying customer for 2 years called for service 3 times in 2 years. first 2 calls tech could not repair (still had to pay 100.00 each) 3rd call took almost 3 months to replace dishwasher. Finally cancelled service was told I had to pay a 61.00 cancellation fee? WHAT A RIP OFF stay away.....

Requested service for broken a/c 6/9/19, they ordered parts which took two weeks, now another week to come do repairs, expecting 7-1/19. Just shy of a month with no a/c with temps outside at 100! Rude customer service every time I called to check the status!

Off shore call center, uncovered (and unnecessary) charges, over estimating Freon needs, and slow to respond. This company has been a huge disappointment and I would not recommend them to anyone. It’s Louisiana, it’s hot and they are holding all the cards. I am extremely disappointed and I wish that I had never purchased a plan from them.

It is a joke! Will be suing them! I recorded all my conversations with them after the second lie! Been 3 weeks and about 10 hours on the phone! Learn to record how many times they lie to you from their script. We will see who has the last laugh! Don't get this insurance!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you do , record Every time you call!

This has been the worst experience that I have ever had. My refrigerator went out two weeks ago and AHS has not gotten it repaired. I will never recommend this warranty company to anyone. The service provider told me that the service request was cancelled- no one call me at all- called them 5 times and nothing has happened.

Just recently filed a claim about a leak in my front yard and instead of telling me that it wasn’t covered in my claim they decide to build me for it and then I had to pay a plumber out of pocket. I could have just called a plumbing company myself and saved the extra 85. Will not recommend them to anyone and didn’t want to make this right

These people are horrible. We have had to take legal action against them. The technicians they send out have zero information online. We have waited months for a simple repair on a dishwasher only to have it completely destroyed after 4 visits. They continue to say they will call with an update.

Absolutely the worst customer service! I tried to get 2 faucets repaired. Repairman told me they had to order parts. I waited a month and AHS told me that they had to get approval. I called in 4 more times and got nowhere. Months went by then AHS told me I had to put in a new work order and pay another $100. DO NOT use AHS!!! Buy another warranty.

I had a technician at my house at the beginning of the week for a broken faucet and since then I have just been getting the run around from American Home Shield -- they are useless I should have just called my Plumber and it would have been fixed in a timely manner. I have been on hold and they just hung up on me again!

Read the sample contract on their website. They offer the most cost effective replacements that will not be the same as the appliance or system they are replacing. For example, if your 5 ton 18 Seer Trane A/C system needs replaced, they will replace it with an off brand 14 Seer unit using the cheapest contractor they can find.

Scheduling and paying for initial service call is easy. BECAUSE THEY GET PAID! Even though the support calls are rarely taken by people who speak a recognizable language. Seriously, you are way better off finding your own service/repair company than you will be using this service. And you will save money.

I have paid for service over 1 1/2 years. Called for service 7 days ago and still haven't received service. Called then and they said they are working on it. What a joke. I want my year and a half of payments back. They are horrible and customer service is embarrassing. Hire some prior that speak English!!!

Almost two months later and ten hours on the phone, they are still trying to collect $80 for service not received. Based on an hourly rate, I’m tempted to send them a bill for my time. AWFUL customer service.

This is most awful company I had ever dealt with. They keep you on hold forever and never keep their promises. I never got a copy of my contract after requesting a copy three times. The vendors then send to your house are not reputable. Make sure to check all reviews from all websites about this company. BUYER BEWARE

Had a contract with them. They sent subpar vendors whose goals were always to maie sure American Homeshield didnt have to cover anything. Basically, you pay AHS to dictate who works on your house and still have to pay out the nose because they will find a way not to cover anything.

After 3 months and 1 week my range is still not completly repaired and no action on AHS part. After 2 months and 1 week my refridgerator has not been repaired at all and no response on AHS part. All they can tell me is sorry sorry sorry but nothing is getting done. Very poor service.

When my renew comes up this year I will be choosing another warranty company like Choice warranty. To bad I did like AHS for all those years. They need to look at completion and see what mistakes they are making.
