wait times to talk to someone ALWAYS over one hour had two companies and 4 different workers trying to fix air conditioner had to finally hire someone that knew what they were doing will cancel as soon as I am able to speak to someone to get deductible returned for work not completed.

called thurs 11/2/2017 and as of today 11/6/2017 i still have no apt for anyone to come out i have been on hold for over a hour and half today no one answering the phone to help me resolve this problem. pay every month and got nothing to show for it. but a stopped shower that has been sitting here 5 days.

Their phone services is not good. Waited over hours and just to be hung up on. I'm not to happy right now. Wasted my time today call in for a request on celling fan. I went online to try that way and even worst no detail to request another different problem. I think I'll be shopping for new service soon.

I would give AHS a zero if I could. I have a plumbing repair that is still not finished from about a month a go. I paid the $75.00 service fee already. The owner of the plumbing company said that he needed to order a part that would take a few days to receive. I never heard back!

It would have been much nicer if I could talk to someone. I had an issues and tried to call on several occasions to be told the next agent would be available in 45 min. to an hour. I don't have time to wait for someone to talk to and this happened every times I called. So, bottom line, your customer service sucks big time.

Absolutely useless. Either AHS doesn't cover any part of the repairs but still charges the service fee of $100 for essentially doing nothing or it sends out contractors who have a review of 1(!) star on yelp, which of course results in order cancellation and full repair covered out of pocket anyways.

Every time i call its a 45 min wait. this time one hour and 52 min. You cant email them either. And when they finally answer they have to transfer you to a different department and again wait for over 30 min. The worst possible customer service line ever.

Contacting customer service is the worst with AmericanHome Shield. I am always on hold for a long period of time and end up gettingtransferred around. Often times my issues are not resolved and I am forced to call back again.

Absolutely terrible service all the way around! Do not waste your money! Hold times on the phone of well over an hour, refusal to pay invoices, then hung up on when asked to speak with a supervisor after waiting on hold for 70 minutes, the rep I spoke with could not even tell me the date an invoice was supposedly paid.

If you have 1-2 hours to waste listening to canned music this is your company! They have the most incompetent contractors I have ever dealt with. No follow up; no guaranty and parts are eternally on-order. Stay AWAY from this one!

Very inconsistent on billing practice. We wren't informed of an outstanding bill until we tried to have service again. We paid that one and the next was to be charged 2 days later. We start getting nasty notes saying we are delinquent and have tried to call the company to clean up the misunderstanding. VERY FRUSTRATED!

A.C. went out in the middle of summer but American Home Shield refused to fix it that day. It was 98 degrees with a heat index of over 100, but since the outside temperature was not 105 they refused. Terrible policy especially if you live in a high humidity city.

I had a fan that was working but out of balance. I told customer service this and paid the $75. Fee. Sent out service guys for a re balance, then said not covered because the fan is still working. I ended up buying a new fan. They screwed me.

Have a problem with oven. Company that was sent to do the repairs, changed two parts. Unit is still not functioning properly. I asked them to leave the ticket open and they have not responded to me. AHS needs to use better service companies to do their repairs. All I'm getting is a bunch of lip service.

Four year subscriber here. A covered item is being denied after 3 American Home Shield contractors have inspected it and turned in claims. The last one was told by AHS that he was too expensive. I have called nearly everyday for 6 weeks and been on hold for 30 minutes to over an hour every time. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I'VE EVER SEEN.

I paid for my contract and come to find out they do not use local contractors in my area, which they use Houston area and they will not come out to mine. Therefore I have paid for a service that I can not use.....REALLY! They have not heard the last of me!

I would assume that proper documentation of my issue was insufficient and the reps had no idea what was going on. And still my situation has not been resolved!!!

This company has very little concerns about your home after yo pay them. I requested a/c service on the 31 jul 2017 and had service company come twice and it has not been repaired as of now and can't get any help from AHS . I'm not pleased at all with service and as of now would not recommend them or service company to anyone.

I've had AHS since 2019. It started off as good deal but overtime many vendors have offered much better packages and no contract deals. While their process to make a claim is easy and convenient; the wait on an assigned contractor is almost 2 days in some cases which is very inconvenient.

This review is in regards to customer service. Every time I call I speak with somebody that does not understand what I’m asking and somebody that I also cannot understand. I feel feel like these individuals goes around in circles, repeating my name, and telling me about things that I didn’t ask for in the question. As far as the actual service requests, and the repair specialists they sent out, they have always been wonderful.

This company is terrible and one to stay away from. I had a failed water heater and they sent out a tech who was not even a plumber as I observed him and the guy was clueless. After going back and forth with them they claimed the plumbing company had to rearrange all these pipes for nearly $600 to do the install which was a joke and a deflection not to pay. After filing a complaint with the BBB they issued a refund for the water heater because I went ahead and got a real plumber and submitted pictures as evidence. This company is no good and I will advise anyone to stay away

Horrible place ac went out no 24hr company they told me to expensive to use and it was going to be 10 or more days before fixed at 120 degrees during summer with 7 dogs and a wife with medical conditions and they didn't cut one day off so 9 days house at 110 inside got a ac company to install in 2 days and asked for reimbursement and they told me know because we didn't use there company someone told me they don't care if you suffer as long as they save money

The company claims to cover all appliances regardless of age but when our a/c unit required refrigerant was told AHS covers $10 per pound while we are responsible for the other $270 -$280 per pound and our unit needs 5.83 lbs.

One of worst experiences with a business, any business, ever. Poor responses. Horrible repair men. Monthly, annual & service charges went up significantly, year after year. With no more anything with the extra high bills It eventually got to the point where I was paying a higher monthly fee and got nothing more for it. So plain and simple, I just dropped them. An excellent decision since I rarely ever used them in the 1st place.
