I think ahs needs more reliable plumbers. You shouldn't have to jump through so many hoops to get reimbursed when you have the okay to hire an outside contractor.

Customer service is awful. I have been waiting since January to get my roof fixed. Every time I call they say they need a different document from the roofing company. Everybody seems to be confused. Nobody ever responds back to you and it takes a long time to get a hold of somebody on the phone.

AHS provides good coverage however the contractors that are selected are the reason I will not be returning as a customer. It quite literally took over 100 days to get a furnace completed. As of this message, it has still not been inspected. I would rather pay twice amount for an even sub-par experience.

Hope Shield services are not at all trustworthy specifically when it comes to plumbing issues on which Home Shield takes pride and uses in its advertisements. Their contracted plumbing company is not responsive and its plumber was rude to me on last year's service dispatch and the problem was never fixed.

I requested service for an issue that isn’t covered in my contract. Instead of advising me of the issue, AHS charged me for a consultation only to have the individual show up to my house and tell me that the issue isn’t covered. It was a waste of money.

Icemaker repairman would not take old door off property. AHS assured me it was not their responsibility and connected me with repair company which I have contacted twice with no call back to resolve so I paid $25 to have removed. Next another new unnecessary door arrives so here goes another $25.

My coverage includes "air conditioning" and then has a list of exceptions. When I needed a new damper for my system, it was not listed on the exceptions list but they still did not cover the repair. Under this "logic," they can deny anything they want. I definitely will not be renewing my contract and have contacted the BBB.
