We had a great experience. Service technician arrived within 3 hours and diagnosed the problem with out water heater. He ordered the parts immediately and installed them <48 hours later. Awesome.

I need to speak with a live person at AHS and cannot seem to do this. The service request company assigned to our request is AMTEC SERVICES, INC> As of yet they havenot contacted me to schedule a discussion or visit, and I have called 770-248-0010 at least 15 times and have been put on hold for long periods of time with loud music in my ears. I would like to discuss a problem with AHS but cannot speak to a live person.

The first time I used my contract was when my refrigerator failed. This was almost three years ago but I believe it took them between two and three weeks to get the issue resolved but they replaced the unit with a new one. The extended time frame was my only issue, otherwise they did a great job!

AHS refused our claim on plumbing citing the notes from their plumber and his estimate of $13700 to perform the job. We canceled out contract with them and contacted a local plumbing company with excellent reviews. Their estimate to do the exact same thing was $3950, nearly a $10000 difference. We were mildly upset with a previous electrical claim that took way too long to complete.

Great coverage but horrible at replacing appliances. Also the call center overseas in the Philippines has some employees that don't understand your issue or how to assist with it. Should be able to transfer to US customer service if they can't help you

It appears some of the companies AHS contract with aren't that great. Meaning, if you check reviews such as Yelp or Google; the companies appear not to be on top of their game. Definitely, hit or miss with some of the contracted companies.

Problem resolution is usually good, but it takes a long time. They hook you up with a vendor right away, but there still might be a week of waiting for them to get you in, or they will come and diagnose then need a part and it's another week.

They get contractors for your problem out BUT I dont think they do well with following up with that contractor regarding the degree of satisfaction between the homeowner and the contractor. I also think some of the wording in the fine print of the ahs agreement needs to be worded differently, it's misleading. I've lived in my house 12yrs I've had AHS coverage since day 1. I've paid every month and also paid the service calls, but yet I still have the same problems. I chose to have coverage because the way I understood it was that if ahs had to be contacted 3-5 times over the same issue, that issue would be resolved by 1 a cash out settlement for me to replace the issue or #2 for ahs to remedy the issue by providing a new system. 12 yrs of service calls and ahs annual premiums I myself could have used that money and bought myself a brand new system. I'll be discontinuing my contract with ahs after my latest problem is resolved on the same system.

So far, so good, although I have only been in my new home a month. Long hold times on the phone, but you can schedule online. Unfortunately, my gas fireplace wasn't covered - it isn't working and so that is a big disappointment. They are generally friendly on the phone. Response times from the professionals they hire are very good, and the issues have been resolved quickly. I am glad I purchased the warranty!

Everyone has been very helpful and super nice when we have had a claim. The only reason they are not 5 stars is due to the wait time on the phone. I understand that they are busy but so are we. Six hours waiting on the phone in one day is way too much. Maybe a call back system would be better.

Customer service is very good, contractors are professional, they don't cover all expenses like is represented in their ad but they do cut the total cost of repair down, the coverage is pricey. We have used our warranty twice and we are ahead of the annual cost compared to cost of repairs

Replacing my broken kitchen sink faucet was an ordeal and did not cover the required removal of the broken faucet from the marble kitchen sink surface. I believe that is a humongous short-coming of your alleged complete service. It cost me an addition $160 and your alleged "great coverage" for this particular job was horribly disappointing. How can you claim to replace a broken kitchen faucet when your repair person is NOT ALLOWED TO REMOVE THE FAUCET as part of the job? HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH YOUR COVERAGE FOR THIS JOB!

I just purchased coverage with them and I have had one appliance break down. Someone was sent to repair but a part had to be ordered and the job is still not done. The 15th of September is the date for the repair to be done. The one complaint I have is that getting someone to answer when you call AHS is absolutely frustrating. I was told that my wait time would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Always need to pay out of pocket on top of the $100 fee. Phone answering take hours!!! I mean more than two hours, then they transfer me to another department, with waiting time of another 2 hours. 4 hours total in the phone to find out details of the replacement.

When working with American Home Shield on other other jobs as the stove, refrigerator, dish washer etc everything works like it supposed to do but everytime or the 4 time companies were call for HVAC issues Home Shield seems to forget who there customer is. I'm going to elaborate more on how these companies are making up modification charges and freon amounts to collect large installation dollars.

Wait time on phone is insanely long. I have had been hung up on twice once the customer service rep calls back and or being on hold for an hour. I have had two different service people out to look at the refrigerator. The second servicer charged the refrigerator and it has not held charge. I have been trying to contact AHW to let them know that the service request has not been completed and tickets keep closing on this issue. I have even gone to your web site and it is not helpful or user friendly for a service e call that has not been completed.
