For the most part my experience has been good. However the last plumbing company gave me attitude because I was asking questions. They left without completing the job. They didn't even bring tools in on the first visit. And when they came back the next day, having punished me for asking direct questions then they lectured me about not having done the job the first visit because they didn't like my attitude. AHs DID NOT ADDRESS MY CONCERN OVER THIS ENCOUNTER.

They came through for me a few times. My refrigerator went out and they got me a new one. They fixed my oven twice. They fixed my dishwasher and garbage disposal. Only cost me a 100 dollars each time.

My experience with AHS has been an experience. They advertise if it can't be fixed then they will replace it. My compressor is going out in my air conditioner and the technicians they sent out recommended replacement. Even with having a home warranty they aren't replacing it. They did contribute $1300.00 towards the bill. In my opinion that's not holding up to their policy. I'm very disappointed that I am having to pay for the units being put in even though I have a home warranty.!!!

I have one great experience with the rep who was sent out to fix my fridge. The other was not so great. The rep for my A/C unit seemed lazy. Before my warranty kicked in I had to have my A/C fixed and was told I was low on Freon. The did not mention anything about the freon was low and made no attempt to add any.

It has mostly been ok. There are communications issues I wish were more streamlined. We had requested service for our exhaust fans in bathrooms. Then electrician sent by AHS recommended replacement as they were old and not functioning to standards. He said he would submit the request. That was 3 weeks ago... still waiting to hear from AHS. The request says service closed online, so not feeling optimistic the job will be completed to the standard I would like - which is following the recommendation of the service provider they sent.

I have been trying to resolve a single service repair issue for a month. Every time I call, trying to get the issue resolved, I am on the phone for an hour or more going over the specifics with yet another associate. The last associate I spoke with told me that to completely repair some sheetrock, which was damaged during the repair, "was not covered" , when I had already been told that to repair damage caused by on of their service partners was covered. Also, when you are on the phone with an associate, there if so much noise (others on calls) in the background, it is very difficult to hear and understand whar they are saying. I would not recommend AHS at this time!

A/C quit working in the middle of a heat wave so I called them. Took 4 days for a repair person to come out . Turned out to be a tripped breaker so there was no charge. Was 39.95 a month for the first year. Just starting our 2nd year and it is 44.95 a month. Kinda disappointed that it increases each year.

I recently had a claim denied for my washing machine. Our washing machine displayed an error code mid-cycle. My wife turned off the washer and turned it back on. The error had cleared and she continued the cycle. I filed the claim that night. The repair company contacted us nearly 72 hours after our claim was filed and came the following Monday. She explained what happened to the technician from Affordable Services and Appliance Repair. I returned from work about five minutes after the technician arrived. He told us it was a bad bearing and departed our house about five minutes later and stated he had to submit his report. Two or three days later I received an email stating that the claim was denied because it was not normal wear and tear. The reason given is because my wife continued to use the washer - completed the cycle (used it after the error and leaking). I called AHS and was offered the chance to pay another $125 to another company who might write the report in a different way. Frustrated that the faulty seal or bearing was essentially blamed on us for completing the cycle doesn't seem right. The washer was full of water and clothes at that time. Since the error cleared, my wife completed that one cycle. After completing my call with the AHS service representative. I didn't think gambling with another $125 was wise and I used that money toward the purchase of a new washer. I called the repair company three times in the two days following the denial and left two voicemails. To date, almost three weeks ago, no one has returned my call. During the two weeks that we did not have a washer, we had to use a laundry service at a cost of $70. I also did much research on fixing this problem myself. Apparently a seal next to the inner and outer bearing began leaking which caused the bearing to fail prematurely. When I bought my warranty coverage, I was aware that a repair or replacement would be done at the discretion of AHS. I got neither. Needing a washer, we paid $939 for a similar washer to the one we had. Although I had one good (microwave) and one mediocre (refrigerator - took two visits and required us to put all our food in coolers twice) service previously, I can't justify spending $40 a month and then having to buy the appliance anyway. After two years of coverage, I am money ahead because of your warranty and thankful for that, but I am truly disappointed in the decision to deny this claim. Regardless of whether or not she completed the cycle, the repair would have been the same. I would like to be reimbursed for the washer ($939), or at least the cost of repair (local estimates indicate $500 - $600) for replacing the bearing. I was informed by Lou last night that this would be escalated and that I would receive a phone call today, but that did not happen. I know there are many home warranty companies and I chose AHS because you are one of the best.

They deserve a 2.5 but I couldn't round down due to 3 instances in the last 6 months and 1 that is ongoing right now. Their company has gotten worse over the years while they keep charging me more and they look for reasons NOT to do work. So the current item I'm dealing with is a dryer that needs a new heating element. It's been over a month now and our family has no working dryer. After I called and asked them what the hold up was then did they say the part that was needed was just order. NOT 2 1/2 weeks ago when the repairman requested it. My family is the one that is sufferring once again so what do they care.

It’s nice to have the home warranty, but when something goes wrong and you have to speak to someone, it’s always a foreigner that doesn’t articulate the English language well. That makes it difficult when your trying to explain or receive info. Also, the majority of the companies that are contracted have very bad or low reviews. When parts are needed, the contractors have to constantly get approval which extends the time it takes to fix things.

We have had a tough time with AHS and their chosen service provider. It took months to resolve an issue with our ice maker. In the end, AHS replaced our refrigerator. For that we are Grateful. However, A&E is really pulling AHS down.

Every time I have to use my warranty, AHS sends out a company with poor customer service and poor quality work. The last time I used them I never got a call from the company that was supposed to come out to fix my garbage disposal, when I called AHS back to tell them I can't even get a hold of them, I asked them to send out a plumber, he couldn't even get a hold of them company to release my claim. He did transfer it to a plumbing company. And for the first time since we have been a customer from 1999 this was the first company that has ever come on time and gave excellent customer service. AHS should monitor who they are using, not just except anyone to service their customer. We are paying for a service and that's what we should get.

I've had 2 experiences with AHS where I had issues with an attic fan and an air conditioner. For the air conditioner, I forgot to call AHS and had the AC repair company I've used in the past replace the unit. After arguing with AHS that it was an honest mistake and trying to submit the invoice for a partial payment, I was told no. It was an honest mistake, but AHS wasn't willing to work with me. The repairs would have cost a large amount if I did use AHS. I just forgot to call AHS first.

When AHS works the way it's supposed to it is amazing. What it comes down to is not enough oversight of the vendors they have locally and no follow through from custom service or supervisors. I have has no washing machine or refrigerator since April 24 it 's now June 27th and just today I finally got my refrigerator replaced. Sti no word on washing machine.

Had issue with drier, they kept me informed about when and who the repairmen was and he fixed the drier for me, he didn't have to contact the warranty company to see if it was covered.

It took a LONG time to get the company to come out. (3 weeks??). And then when they needed to come out a second time , because it wasn't fixed the first time, I had to pay the company $250 because the item wasn't covered.the

We had an extended warranty on our refrigerator the people that came to repair it, 4 or 5 times and never fixed it you came out once, replaced a part they never did and it is working, so far.

I have have very good experiences so far. Phone calls are the low part for me. Tedious ridiculous hold times, and very hard to get someone to help with what you actually need (for example, requesting NOT to have a specific company return to my house, etc).
