I was not happy with this past request I put in for the plumbing issue I encountered. Literally on the phone 3 different times. Hung up I’m sure accidentally 2 times before I was able to get back on a call. The initial request I put in was for 2 toilets and garbage disposal. When Rapp plumbing came out, they stated they do not have the order for the garbage dissolved they couldn’t work on that. Back and forth on calls with AHS and they stated they sent it. Called Rapped and they stated they didn’t have it. Very disappointed in service with AHS.

Yesterday I signed up online. Decided I had made a mistake. The next day I called to cancel. After explaining to one representative, my call was forwarded to the cancellation department. I was on the line for 30 minutes, hung up, called again, told ONLY the cancellation department could help. ANOTHER 45 minutes of waiting, then the call was dropped. THIS IS NOT a good company.

had a two year old double oven just out of manufacturer warranty, the control panel controlling the temperature burned out and had AHW diagnose it they called and told me the oven was 8 years old and they will only credit me 250 towards a new one which will be paid AFTER I purchase a new one and I have it installed and they need to inspect it after and I will need to pay the inspector service fee.....( it was only 2 years old) STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS

Very disappointed when trying to call the billing department with AHS. I get placed on hold for 25-35 minutes then my call goes straight to someone's voicemail. I have previously called twice before for the same issue-getting billed for something I have already paid. The last two times, I was told a backlog in billing and not to worry then another bill comes in the mail. Seems like once you sign up, there's not any customer service or anyone to answer any questions.

They use the term modification to exclude normal repairs. AHS excluded cost of disconnecting and reconnecting a water heater from home water supply. Because plumber had to cut and reglue line it was what they call a modification which they exclude from coverage. We normal folk call that installation. We were charged 500 dollars labor for that. Buyer beware. This is a dental discount card at best. Prepare to pay for all the AHS exclusions.. PS learn Tagolog because their claims are handled by phone avents in the Philippines who do not understand either English or the technology.

4 weeks ago we requested service for our refrigerator. We have a built-in Kitchen-Aid unit that is about 10 years old, so not too old. They assigned one company who couldn't fix it, and then another who claimed to be able to fix it. They supposedly ordered parts, but have no idea when the parts will be shipped. There is no excuse for this awful service. This is not the first bad experience we have had with them.

AHS took money out of our account because we REQUESTED service through their website. We never received a call or service. Not once but on 2 different occasions. Beware, key word is REQUESTED. When a REQUEST is submitted you are automatically charged $106 even if services are never rendered. We fixed the electrical problem ourselves. Stay away from AHS unless you want your bank account drained, $106 at a time. -10 stars!

I call american home shield for my refrigerator repair. it takes them 2 weeks to send a technician, tecnician comes and says its the motherboard. says they will be back in a week. 2 weeks goes by another technician comes and says its the compressor they will comeback after it has been approved. american home shield calls after 2 weeks and says another company will take care of the problem. guy says its under warranty. American home shield does not inform me that the refrigerator cannot be repaired by them because its under warranty. I was waiting for almost 2 months without a refrigerator.

This company is a SCAM. First be prepare to wait on hold for quite a while before actually speaking to someone. Next, be prepare to get DENIED. My water heater sprung a leak and the company said that my 80 year old tenant broke it. Nope. My 80 year old tenant did not touch it. My tenant is intimidated to touch anything as he is old and not handy. He simply calls me and I called AHS. This is their MO.

Where do I begin!!!! Absolutely the worst in Customer Service! The repair people sent to my house where incompetent. Broke my HVAC system and then lied about what the problem was so that they wouldn't be responsible. I'm out $495.00 on top of the service fee and still have no Heat/Air. My policy is cancelled as of September 2017 but American Home Shield just decided to charge my account in December $75.00 no explanation. RUN DO NOT WALK AWAY from this company!!! They will take your money and have fixed nothing!!!!!! I star is too much they deserve 1/4 of a start if that much!!!

Worst company ever. My first call for a repair of my oven was answered in about 15 min, they referred me to their appliance dept. he came out in a few days. Then it was down hill all the way. They couldn't fix it and they did not replace it, after 2months waiting for a solution they offered me $322.00 for a stove, a paid $75.00 for the service call that mount was actually $247.00 my new stove cost $647.00. That is NOT replacement.

3 weeks and still no resolution to a broken dishwasher. Technician took one week to arrive, another week for the diagnosis and another week for a technician to show up with parts only to tell us that they don't have the parts to fix it and there are multiple issues that need to be fixed and it will cost more to fix than replace. Most painful customer experience I have ever witnessed and no accountability to fix in a timely manner. I highly recommend thinking twice before choosing a large warranty company like AHS since they are stuck in process and not solving customer issues.

Extremely poor at assisting with emergency situations. We had water coming through our ceiling from an ac leak. Once they determined it was covered they said the soonest they could get someone out was the next day and that was within their protocol. Even talked to a supervisor, same verbiage-they are within their protocol. They were primarily interested in getting their fee collected. Got another vendor and had it fixed within an hour for $129.

Poor customer service we contacted AHS to fix our washer the beginning of the month it is now 23rd of February and still do not have use of our washer. The hold time on the phone is extremely long . We have been customers for over a year and now we need service they have not helped us. Disappointing and disgusted supervisors have not been able to resolve our dilemma.

I have had this policy for 17 years and will not repair drippy faucet.. stated it was not covered ... why I am not covered when I carry plumbing policy.. too many clauses.. they state if you read your contract.. I have not read it in 17 years.. did they change it on me? calling out plumber tommorrow

We had a problem with a plumber and they do not back their venders mistakes you are on your own. If I use a company and they say I have to use their vender they should help me if they make a mistake. The plumbing company still will not help me with their mistake or call me back.

I will never use this company again. There is an average of a 45 minute wait to talk to a representative. The representatives tell you what they think you want to hear. They made me pay twice for a service call that was misdiagnosed and they won't refund their $75.00 service call fee. The HVAC companies they contract with won't make emergency service calls on a weekend or in the evening when the representatives tell you that they will. AND now they won't let me cancel my monthly subscription without jumping through hoops. DO NOT USE THEM!!

Just ok. Watch the fine print and the contractors they use. We had a plumbing issue that never got resolved because the plumber knew how to get by AHS verbiage so they could over charge us to fix the problem. What they didn't realize is that I'm in the business and knew exactly what they were trying to do. AHS doesn't cover alot including refrigerate in your hvac system. Definitely not worth it.

The first tech came to my house 12-22-17 a determined that my 13 year old fridge should be replaced. AHS wanted a second opinion. The second Tech (from another company) came out in January and made the same determination. It’s 2-8-18 and I still don’t have a working fridge. I CAN NOT and WILL NOT recommended AHS to anyone. The independent techs were helpful but my experience with AHS Corporate has been terrible. I tried to call their 800 Number and the projected wait was 64 minutes! I hung up the phone

Took them 11 days to receive and install a furnace. I had a two week old baby in the house at the time. I understand waiting a week or two for any other appliance but a furnace in the middle of winter. Absolutely terrible of them to make my family freeze for 11 days and not offer to cover a hotel stay or a stipend to pay for my space heater costs. Very dissatisfied for the way they handle furnace claims.

AHS has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I called about a Service call that had been opened for two weeks already, waited on hold for 44 minutes, then was told I would have to call back because their computers were down. We have been without heat in our primary living space for three weeks now, with a one-year-old at home. They claim the part won't be available for several more weeks, but I can find it on Amazon, and a dozen other places, with two day delivery. I will be cancelling the contract the moment this service call is resolved.

They charge $75 per occurance and if it is a repeat occurance outside of 60 days they charge you again. Additionally they don’t cover many of the items and tasks required to complete the repair. I had a water heater fail and the plumber charged me $375 that wasn’t covered by AHS for pipe modifications. I had a leak in a pipe due to missing parts and AHS won’t cover the repair because it is a result of missing parts. Buyer beware!!

I have a GE washer and I’ve been trying to get it fixed since December 27/2017 and now it’s January 25th/2018 and it’s still not working properly.there has been three different service technicians to work on it but not fixed yet. Parts have been and sent to my home address but what was received was incorrect to replace the bad part.The time wasted getting American Home shield to launch another work order and time wasted to schedule my life around a service technician four hour window is just way beyond acceptable.

I a, still waiting for my plumbing call to be serviced. This order was placed in late November. The plumber called today, January 24 and postponed again. It takes an average of 57 minutes to speak to a live person at American Home Shield . This is terrible. I have contacted the local tv news stations in Huntsville Alabama about the problem. tThey are coming to interview me about the terrible service.

For minor issue they have been okay but the last service was denied for not normal ware and tear. Weird thing was that it was my plumbing enclosed in the wall, that I have never touched??? Plus it took 2 months to get the answer and took me constantly calling the plumbing company and AHS to finally be told sorry.

The customer service is not good as far as you have to hold on for 30 plus minutes when you call to get the vendor you want

It took forever to communicate with them on the phone. Outrageous wait times. My washer had to be replaced and they replaced it with a model that did not have the same features as the one I had. The offered model was a base model, and to receive anything better you had to pay additional money. After receiving it and trying to get in touch with them about the problems, they informed me that they did not have to replace it with LIKE functions.
