AHS has been good for smaller repairs. However my experience with major appliances has not been good With major appliances, it has taken too long to resolve the issue and I was left without an appliance for months. Some of the companies that AHS uses are incompetent.

I was charged $100 by the company that came out to fix my electrical issue because they had to go to Lowe's and pick up a part. If the supplier had followed the process of getting approval by AHS, I would have avoided paying the $100. When I complained to AHS, that I was burdened with paying the$100 because the supplier they contracted with didn't follow the process, I was told they would elevate my complaint to their contract department and I would be contacted in 48 hrs. It's been ten days and still waiting. Not happy with AHS.

I amn't satisfied with the service. It takes a while to get your service done. Also I amn't impressed with the contractor they used. They actually caused more damage which isn't covered by AHS.

It took 16 calls and 110 days to resolve my request for a pay out, although I have not received a check. Every time I called, I had to start at the beginning as little was put in a log as to our discussions. Each time I called, a new customer service Rep spun through their standard instructions to no avail. All they did was blame their contractor for not supplying info— but each time I called, it was different missing information. This is no way to run a business. I will not renew my contract with this side show.

ive realized how you all work sending a low rated vendor to deny my claim and give me another vendor for a 2nd opinion . Even though the 2nd vendor felt my issue would be reason to replace fridge 1st vendors opinion overrides 2nd vendors. once a claim is denied then why send out 2nd vendor if there claim is overrides 2nd vendor. you all have a method to your madness. When i called to complain about my service AHS told me to call vendor. When i called vendor they told me to call AHS. I call AHS again and get told the same thing.

Worst customer service I have encountered ever. Asking to talk to a supervisor it’s never possible and even when they say they are going to call you back that never happens or if they call they leave a voicemail without call back number so you have to call back to the general number and nobody knows anything, so a great waste of time. I’m looking into a different house warranty company.

They took almost 2 months and several calls from me to assign a new contractor. The original ones preached the Word of G d to me and told me my dishwasher was my G d. When I told AHW about this, they did nothing regarding reassigning me. I finally wrote the President and no response. Seems they care more about money than customers.

The tech Karl, was pleasant and thorough. He said The panel was gone and had to be replaced and would order one. Further stating it would take about a week for the panel to be received. Browsing through my emails today, I had received notice the case had been closed. I immediately called AHS and learned the case had been denied due to pest damage. I was devastated. Checked the contract which confirmed the results. My question is how did it affect the panel? Very disappointed but after having the contract for a while, considering canceling.

We have a whirlpool tub where the pump broke and it has been two months and we still have no tub that works. We paid $750 for the plumbers to cut our pipes and remove the tub to get to the pump for replacement. We are still waiting.. Every call starts the same cycle over and over - investigations, going back to Drain-go of Al, your supplier and nobody can get on the same page. Absolutely the worst service we have ever had - ever.

Very very poor customer service always conflicting info. When there is conflicting info provided to customers it’s difficult resolve issues. I had to make at least 20 calls over the period of 1 1/2 months. Unauthorized charges made to my bank card. Also, HSA and AHS are related companies. I was paying for both, double coverage and was never made aware. Amazing does not apply in my state the word was pre populated in my rating and highlighted in green…. Shaking my head!!

Quality of service contractor work was poor. Overall handling by AHS of furnace not working was very very poor. Ignitor replacement has been diagnosed by 2nd AHS company. First company Amazing Comfort used incorrect part and installation was sloppy. I've been without heat since mid-Dec. it's Jan 24. That's 6-7 weeks. I'm still waiting for repair.....:(

The claims have been approved but they raised my monthly service fee from about $65 when I first opened the service to $80 and now my deductible went up to $100. I feel I'm being gouged a little. That's not very pleasant.

I have a sump pump that went out, they said they would not cover the replacement of the sump pump when the contract said it would due to the fact is was connect to the foundation meaning in a basement it would not be covered, I don't have a basement and it is used to move water away from my foundation so when we have a huge rain storm it doesn't flood my dining room. The contract reads a permanent installed sump pump ground water only! that is what is was used for.

RUN AWAY FROM AHS AS FAST AS YOU CAN! I’ve asked to speak with a supervisor twice and was told one would contact me. They never have. I paid for 4 years on a home warranty and when my AC broke down, I was told they wouldn’t pay a penny to replace it because there was biomaterials growing on it. I live in FL for Pete’s sake. There’s biomaterials growing on everything in Florida! Worst company I’ve ever used. Don’t waste your money!

Ive been calling since the beginning of Dec to have my A/c repaired. The 1st company reported the wrong issue and didn't touch the system. They second company came but will not submit the diagnosis in order for the company to say whether it will be covered or not.. We have been waiting over a month to get this resolved with no luck!!!Not a good experience .

My rating is low mostly because of Home Shield Co. This has been going on sense August For my refrigerator part. The agreement is for finishing a job and getting parts, in 30 days. Now I have called several times and the operators don’t seem to know all the answers, they just say the part has not come in. Now in order for me to get more answers I have to get really mad so they will give me a supervisor, who can get me more information. Even they are limited, again this has been going on sense August.

I’m not happy with the service, two weeks ago I was trying to cancel but representar said she was going to review and try to help me because I have a good plan but I mentioned that I was told I was not covered for repairs so I wish to cancel.

Wish you would cover inside plumbing pipes w possible tree roots. Tech said it’s considered an act of God but it’s a pipe in a home that AHS should cover no matter the reason. Technicians then get lazy and don’t try to remedy the situation and tech just left w our drain still clogged /bathroom unusable.

American Home Shield through use of their service provider, A and R Complete Service Corp., did not provide the necessary inspection and service to correct the heater issue. American Home Shield did not provide alternative providers though they were informed after each service that A and R did not resolve the heater problem. The result is that I have had a home in the 50 degree range and unacceptable problem resolution from both providers leaving me dealing with an emergency situation though I paid for services from both providers to resolve.
