We sold our house with the America Home Shield to the new owners and it was the biggest pain to get it transferred over to them .My real estate agent and me were on a conference call with them for over a hour. It was from there call center in India and they transfer it from the new owners to the new owners when it had to be transferred from me to the new owners. It took two more days of calling them to get it straight. And then they overcharge me and I had to fight to get that back. Worst customer service ever.

This is the first time I’ve ever used this product that I bought. I have electrical issues they sent two different companies to come out check it they found the problem but they refused to fix it unless I do 90% of the work I don’t know why I’m paying monthly fees for something that I have to go under. Find the location where the electrical issue problem is I don’t know anything about electricity before they’ll come back and complete the job of rewiring.

Quite disappointed and appalled. I had to pay a service fee of $125 twice for one service call because they had to come multiple times when it was no fault of mine and I was eventually asked to pay the vendor the full cost of repair after I was assured everything was going to be taken care of. They managed to code it to prevent payment. That's just terrible. It's been almost three weeks and my issue hasn't even been resolved.

Been with American home shield for almost 15 years ...called out a plumber ..of course American Home Shield did take my service fee money .....plumber came out did nothing ....repeat did nothing ...still took my service money ....no refund or so sorry ...nothing American Home Sheild sucks .....why ....i called to get service fee back ...nothing ...then i go to cancel service with American Home Sheild ...charged me 79 dolllars to cancel ....wtf

Service technician said my gas heater was out dated and needed to be replaced and then because I found out the problem the controller board was burned up and fan in the furnace was rusted to peaces I don't think it was right not to fix my furnace

Most of the items I have submitted about ended up being not covered - as a result, I still had to pay $75-$100 each time to effectively get a quote (because it wasn’t covered) . Maybe American home shield works for newer homes, but if you have an old home or one that uses gas, it’s a very poor option. Another of their contractors has yet to call me after 2 1/2 weeks and me calling them back three times. Will be canceling after my year is up at this rate.

Absolutely terrible service - it took thirteen days, two reschedulings on their part and a no show to a third appointment (yes, I missed work to be stood up) before our sewage pump was repaired on the FOURTH attempt. Multiple calls to AHS and assigned vendor before work was finally completed, and then a $500 high end pump with replaced a cheap, inferior $120 model from a big box store. Unable to run water, flush or do laundry in lower level for nearly two weeks - and AHS said sewage issues are given “top priority”? Calling the Better Business Bureau next. Cannot recommend.

The use of operators from other countries, I.e., the Phillipines, India is extremely annoying. The have no personality it appears they are reading from a script and will interrupt you to read more. They offer nothing that isn’t in the script. I ask to speak to an American which never happens. I hang up repeatedly without a resolution

AHS insisted that my dishwasher be repaired vs replaced. Five months later and invoices for parts and labor totaling $1432.17 and the dishwasher is not working AHS decided to replace the dishwasher. The option offered with no cost to me was a piece of junk. After much deliberation and research I purchased a dishwasher from an independent dealer. AHS will now pay me $379.62 for the dishwasher and is refusing to cover the cost of installation which my warrenty states is covered. I will absolutely not recomend AHS to anyone at any time

Claims always denied. I have been told by many service companies that they will not work with them, and I see why. My issue actually cost me more because of the $125 fee to have someone come out and find a reason NOT to cover the issue. My recommendation, take the $ you are giving them and put into an interest bearing account for emergency repairs

AHS has been good for smaller repairs. However my experience with major appliances has not been good With major appliances, it has taken too long to resolve the issue and I was left without an appliance for months. Some of the companies that AHS uses are incompetent.

I was charged $100 by the company that came out to fix my electrical issue because they had to go to Lowe's and pick up a part. If the supplier had followed the process of getting approval by AHS, I would have avoided paying the $100. When I complained to AHS, that I was burdened with paying the$100 because the supplier they contracted with didn't follow the process, I was told they would elevate my complaint to their contract department and I would be contacted in 48 hrs. It's been ten days and still waiting. Not happy with AHS.

It took 16 calls and 110 days to resolve my request for a pay out, although I have not received a check. Every time I called, I had to start at the beginning as little was put in a log as to our discussions. Each time I called, a new customer service Rep spun through their standard instructions to no avail. All they did was blame their contractor for not supplying info— but each time I called, it was different missing information. This is no way to run a business. I will not renew my contract with this side show.

ive realized how you all work sending a low rated vendor to deny my claim and give me another vendor for a 2nd opinion . Even though the 2nd vendor felt my issue would be reason to replace fridge 1st vendors opinion overrides 2nd vendors. once a claim is denied then why send out 2nd vendor if there claim is overrides 2nd vendor. you all have a method to your madness. When i called to complain about my service AHS told me to call vendor. When i called vendor they told me to call AHS. I call AHS again and get told the same thing.

Worst customer service I have encountered ever. Asking to talk to a supervisor it’s never possible and even when they say they are going to call you back that never happens or if they call they leave a voicemail without call back number so you have to call back to the general number and nobody knows anything, so a great waste of time. They took almost 2 months and several calls from me to assign a new contractor. The original ones preached the Word of G d to me and told me my dishwasher was my G d. When I told AHW about this, they did nothing regarding reassigning me. I finally wrote the President and no response. Seems they care more about money than customers.

The tech Karl, was pleasant and thorough. He said The panel was gone and had to be replaced and would order one. Further stating it would take about a week for the panel to be received. Browsing through my emails today, I had received notice the case had been closed. I immediately called AHS and learned the case had been denied due to pest damage. I was devastated. Checked the contract which confirmed the results. My question is how did it affect the panel? Very disappointed but after having the contract for a while, considering canceling.
