Does have coverage for a lot of items in the house. Terrible customer service. Won't take responsibility for selecting bad contractors who broke other things in my house during a repair. Wouldn't reassign my claim either. Fought for over a month for them to hold their selected contractor responsible, but instead took the contractor's side. Wouldn't even waive the service fee to have someone come fix the issue.

Terrible service. I had a dishwasher that was not working. Called them and repair person was terrible. Had to buy a new dishwasher because unable to fix it. Toilet leaking and was repaired one year ago, now having same problem again because of cheap materials used to fix the first time. I had to call someone else to fix it this time.

Assignment of service company was prompt and efficient but the service company couldn't fix the appliance on first visit and the wait for parts is approaching two weeks. Still waiting for repair. Major inconvenience . We are elderly homebound couple who do most meal prep with microwave oven.

It’s insane how they process claims. They sent the same incompetent contractor on 5 recalls in the span of less than 30 days. They cannot figure the issue out the the warranty company refuses to assign someone else. They said after 30 days of recalls I would need to pay another time the deductible. Until the contractor themselves asked for second opinion. Not sure why I am paying for this.

I have had multiple bad service providers come to my house and I have to argue with with you all when I call AHS to complain and explain they are sending crack heads and fake technicians to my home. Sear is the best! They have to come after the bad providers & fix the problem. I have had AHS 16 years and have used only 4 -5 times

I plan to cancel and get a different Home Warranty company that does not take advantage of loyal customers. Also, I’ve had issues in the past with some companies you guys dispatch to my home, some have even been disrespectful to my mother that was reported.

Save your money. Just about every technician who has ever responded to a service for me over the past 10 yrs has confirmed AHSW is a racket. I kept it for so long because my heat pump has had so many issues. I’ve paid a lot out of pocket and continue to have issues. Now they say I must replace the air handler and my portion is over $2000. I canceled it and am done with the headache. Best decision I ever made. They never did anything quickly. It was absolutely ridiculous.

They would no connect me to the department that would cancel the account. They would not let me set a date. I am moving and AHS just made it harder for me.

Plumber coms rips out kitchen sink and garbage disposal. All sitting on my floor and tell me I have to pay for it because it wasn’t installed right. I had to pay him 600.00. After many calls to what they call customer service. Each call I had to start all over finally one said they give me back 300.00 because I was going to cancel they sent 54.00

I used to recommend this company to all of my clients but after the experience I have had now twice, that will no longer happen. Vendor canceled on me without my notification. Warranty approved a repair without consulting me regarding the repair and my options. The time frame from when I pay for the claim versus when a vendor schedules an appointment is horrible and that’s if the vendor schedule. I have had to reach out twice to the vendors to schedule and then they’re not available right away. I will definitely be shopping around for other warranty companies

I changed a bulb in my hood. When replacing it it arc’s and a wire burned out. You wouldn’t cover a repair/replacement since I changed the bulb. The alternative, pay you $125 to have a service tech come out to replace a bulb which costs less than $1.50. Just a scam.

I have had such a horrible experience just getting my water heater repaired. I've not had hot water for over 3 weeks. 1st company called Abe's plumbing was a scam. Now Plumbers Inc. Won't acknowledge and won't respond to me or your company regarding the diagnosis. One technician can hold my repair hostage for over two weeks. I want my service fee and monthly payment refunded because this is being handled very poorly.

We sold our house with the America Home Shield to the new owners and it was the biggest pain to get it transferred over to them .My real estate agent and me were on a conference call with them for over a hour. It was from there call center in India and they transfer it from the new owners to the new owners when it had to be transferred from me to the new owners. It took two more days of calling them to get it straight. And then they overcharge me and I had to fight to get that back. Worst customer service ever.

This is the first time I’ve ever used this product that I bought. I have electrical issues they sent two different companies to come out check it they found the problem but they refused to fix it unless I do 90% of the work I don’t know why I’m paying monthly fees for something that I have to go under. Find the location where the electrical issue problem is I don’t know anything about electricity before they’ll come back and complete the job of rewiring.

Quite disappointed and appalled. I had to pay a service fee of $125 twice for one service call because they had to come multiple times when it was no fault of mine and I was eventually asked to pay the vendor the full cost of repair after I was assured everything was going to be taken care of. They managed to code it to prevent payment. That's just terrible. It's been almost three weeks and my issue hasn't even been resolved.

Been with American home shield for almost 15 years ...called out a plumber ..of course American Home Shield did take my service fee money .....plumber came out did nothing ....repeat did nothing ...still took my service money ....no refund or so sorry ...nothing American Home Sheild sucks .....why ....i called to get service fee back ...nothing ...then i go to cancel service with American Home Sheild ...charged me 79 dolllars to cancel ....wtf

Service technician said my gas heater was out dated and needed to be replaced and then because I found out the problem the controller board was burned up and fan in the furnace was rusted to peaces I don't think it was right not to fix my furnace
