Worst The guy is gave me false estimate for simple work just replacing flange [ i told if flange not covered i can buy it - please do the job rewaxing He gave me 800 dollars estimate In addition AH coverage I suffered 4-5 days then hire a man fixed the whole thing only for 200 dollars. Please save your elderly customers from this robbery. Please I urged you .

Do I have to give them a star?? HATE these guys - customer service has gone to hell. In the last 25 years there, service has gotten so bad. 1 - Give your service call to contractors that DON'T call you. Had to use someone else 2 - Give you a quote for pay out and lie. Went from $2,000 to $980 3 - Pay the upfront service call of $100 yet it seems they don't cover the cost of the service call. I pay monthly fees plus the service call and I'm still having to pay extra. 4 - Your customer service reps who answer the phone are reading from a script. Do not listen to the problem.

The single worst customer service experience of my life. Disorganized, unprofessional, do-nothing outright liars & scammers. They deserve a full congressional investigation for the way they bilk their customers of money, time & energy. I wish I had never heard of American Home Shield & I regret ever using their services. They have done nothing for me but waste my time & create an infinite feedback loop of misery & frustration. I genuinely hate them & I advise anyone considering using their service to RUN in the opposite direction.

This service is a scam. I just went online to see what a new service costs. For my level it came up with $95. I am paying $140 for the same service after 4 years. What happened to seniority. Customers of long standing pay 40% more than a new customer? And if that is an introductory price, what now spell it out. In August I was increased from $103 to $140. I was told that is inflation and cost of service. The service was used only sporadically. Adequate at best. Bait and switch is what I would call this.

Beware, DO NOT let this company tell you that you have exhausted the allowed funds for your coverage within a contract year. We had 1 service call for our furnace within 3 months of our contract renewal, and when we called for a replacement reimbursement, they said we used all $1500 of the allowance. We called the company who did the service, they were given $600. They now owe us $900. The last time they did this and tried to get out of reimbursement payment, we had to contact the State Attorney Generals office, who thankfully got us paid. This company is a scam, BEWARE!!!

Called and canceled my contract on Oct 30 after my price increased AGAIN (started at $35/month, jumped up to $62). Was charged again in November and December even after canceling. Called customer service and after an hour on the phone I was told I would receive a refund of $52 (instead of $122) after admin fees were deducted. When I asked talk to a supervisor to inquire about a full refund, she told me I would receive no refund. Just kept saying she would cancel as off today and no refund. A waste of my time, and horrible customer service. Buyer..Watch Out!

The companies hired to fix our problems were unreliable. They took days before they called back.Then they took days before they came to our house to see what the problem was. Then they took days till they ordered the part to fix the problem. Without American Home Shield we called a plumber he ca.e out the same day we called and got the part and our problem was resolved that day.

HORRIBLE COMPANY, DO NOT PURCHASE! Absolutely ridiculous. I had a leaking water heater, and it's been five days and it is still not replaced. They have the worst customer service. Each time I called I was told something different, they do not have Supervisors available. No Email address. Their own Plumber indicated they are billing me for costs that should be covered under my plan. They will do anything and everything possible to avoid making the claim process simple. :-(

If you have a question, you have to go in the chat and it turned around and never answer the questions when you ask him resemble if this is covered or not they will never answer that question even if they know it’s not covered they charge you $100 up in front for any visit even if they know it’s not cover some other way for scamming the customer

When I purchased my AHS policy my Air Conditioner is COVERED in the policy. But when I filed a claim for a damaged Air Conditioner, I was told that the most important part of the Air Conditioner is NOT COVERED and I have to pay $1,395.00.

HS works with some shady subcontractors to do the work. You need to be vigilant to ensure you get a quality subcontractor to come into your home. We experienced it and had to 'argue' with HS to get a different technician out to the home to perform repairs. Just be vigilant - you don't want substandard work.

Horrible service! Tech came out and spent 11 minutes on site. Said there was a crossed wire and replaced a receptacle. Light and fan still not working. Left saying he was going to submit the work order.. next day was called by AHS by some foreigner, talking gibberish after making her repeat herself trying to get a supervisor she told me the claim was denied. The tech wants to do service I will she wanted to give me his phone number for him to do the work out of contract. American home shield has gotten worse and worse. Thank God there’s other options and I will be switching soon

I was never informed appliances under warranty weren’t covered. Paid $125 for someone to come out and tell me just that and was left without hot water for even longer. I talked to 2 people who assured me I’d be refunded for the $125 charge. That was 2 weeks ago and I have yet to receive a refund.

The process takes too long. AMERICAN HOME SHIELD is supposed to be in contact with the vendor regarding parts. I’ve been waiting three months to have my refrigerator repaired/replaced and I received the same response every time I call. They state that they’re contacting the vendor to receive an authorization, and no one ever calls back. Very disappointed

I have been a loyal customer for 26 yearsRecently I submitted a request for water stoppage in both of my 3 bathrooms and tubs Plus from my washer as well It was discovered that baby wipes was the problem and when they left, the stoppage was supposedly corrected However, less than a hour after they left the probably reoccurred You wouldn't send anyone else back out cause I was told it was not normal wear and tear I didn't see that in the contract I am dissatisfied and I felt like you she have sent someone out Based on the fact that I have been a loyal customer I am considering dropping 📔

I requested a service which I no longer needed. So about one hour later I canceled the service request. I then was told I had to pay service fee…even though nobody came. A hold was placed on my account until I paid up. I reached out and an AHS agent said this will be off my account in 24 hours. Didn’t come off. Then I was told 48 hours. Didn’t come off. Then I was told 3-5 business days. Didn’t come off. 5-10. Nope. Today I was told 14 to 21 days from TODAY. Absolutely outrageous. So I cannot make a service request for over a month because of their mistake.
