Ver poor service . Highly priced for a very poor service. No action is taken care if poor quality service is provided,, even if the vendor they send cheats lies and represents try to sell their services. If customer services is contacted they do not commit anything., Vendors take advantage try to sell their services at an expense price openly they do not even talk to AHS. I had to go to Home Depot finally to fix this. There are no checks and controls on vendors even if reported .

Just a cheating company. I got an insurance with a waiting period. And my garbage disposal started leaking and i was told this is a preexisting condition. Because i reported this issue that happen to be the active date. How come someone will be waiting for a month to fox an issue? Customer service is not at all listening than just reading a document from computer. The worst part is that they charhed service charge when i paid the plumbing company the fee.

I have been waiting since May 2022 and it is now November 2022 to get my washer fixed. The company came out told my husband they order the parts but did nothing. I have been in and out of the hospital this year and have told them I need clean clothes and sheets due to numerous surgeries. All they have told me is wait for this one to call or that one to call and I am still waiting. I have medical issues which does not mean nothing to them . I am so angry the way they have handled this.

My A/C went out on 6/6/22. I placed a service request immediately with AHS. After almost 10 weeks of not having our unit repaired or replaced, we had to pay for a new unit out of our pocket. We were dealing with over 100 degree temperatures and AHS did not care! Currently in the Arbitration process, filed with the Department of Insurance and will be filing with the BBB. We were continuously lied to and/or mislead. Terrible company in my opinion.

Watch out! AHS engages in possible fraud. Charges a service fee, sends contractor, contractor leaves without an estimate, then contractor and AHS demand out of pocket fees under unspecified upgrades and modifications. on 8/10, AHS charged me for AC locking caps - they were never installed and AC failed again. I send them emails and pictures, they refused to reimburse or repair. Telling me I need to call again and pay another fee.

This Company is terrible. Do you buy. I have been waiting on a part for my washer and the continue to “kick the can down the road.” I will just save the amount of money I pay them monthly in a separate account and use for him repairs. $80 x12 months =$960 annually. If you don’t have a claim in 2 years it will be enough $1920 to cover most items in the contract.

My experience with AHS was awful because of poor customer services and technicians. I had AHS home warranty for 2years and when my cooling system had issues September 2022. AHS said that they do not cover the leak but can cover the coil and offered me $188.00 out of $3, 250 . I paid out of pocket to fix the cooling system myself. AHS refused to pay me the $188.00 because I refused to give them the invoice. To cut the story short, I had to be on my knees before AHS cancelled my contract. Please, beware of AHS especially their technician

March 28, 2022 I submitted a service request for my washer and dryer to be repaired. The technician from Greenway repaired the dryer but had to order the part for the washing machine. Supposedly the part is on back order. I was told by American Home Shield I would get a replacement. It's September 2, 2022 and my washing machine hasn't been repaired or replaced.

Had AC go down and called. Sent a tech out who didnt hook any gauges up, but said we were low on Freon, which is not covered and would cost $350.00. Called AHS back and would be three days before another tech would be able to come out. Called local company. tech found problem, starter capacitor bad. Replaced, AC ran and cooled the house. He checked and Freon was OK, didnt need any. AHS is a rip off company. Stay Clear

I held up my end and paid for the warranty in full. I submitted a request for repairs on a fridge and microwave and the company they assigned refused to do the work or even come out. They keep trying to charge me for the service call fee which is on top of what I already paid when they can not get anyone to come out to service the appliances. Nothing is actually covered. I've been waiting for a furnace replacement since February, they claim that they'll cover upto 1000.00 for installation and upto 5000.00 for furnace. They delivered a furnace that isn't like mine to the AC Technician and told them that they were to get a 800.00 check from me. They stated that I was going to pay for the installation without knowing the cost of parts and installation. Unfortunately I'm filling a lawsuit against American home shield insurance for 10000.00 for this issue. Wish me luck.

I purchased a home warranty contract from American Home Shield in 10/21. I made a claim in May, 2022 for a roof leak and submitted a co-pay of $125. No one ever came to assess or fix the roof despite my contacting them numerous times. I submitted a claim on July 8 along with another co-pay of $125. for an alarm going off on my septic system. No one has come to fix it. I keep calling to get them to adhere to our service agreement, and the customer service reps keep apologizing, but no one will come out to fix the problems.

You basically need a new home for this company to work as advertised. They will keep you on the phone for hours and low ball any replacements you may need, they will try not to anything that helps in any way. They have high service call fee's not the goin rate for most of the US, about 25% hire and they will not help you with anything. They will also just talk you into giving up. Do not get a home warrant it is not worth is. the techs are not the best and some are not as seasoned or experience as just looking on line for a good repair person.

Worst experience ever.. been talking to a Philippines call center 5 times and their English is far from OK. a contractor gave an analysis on an item I didn't report on and "forgot" the details my repair order was against and it was declined.. I can't get a hold of the contractor to ask them why they reported incorrectly and AHS trust their view even they themselves can get in contact with the contractor. Dodgy company

They even do not deserve a star. This insurance company is nothing to but rip you off. They are nothing but punch of crooks. they are useless and do not use them. Uses vague words in the contract "modification" to get out of paying for repairs. For my AC UNIT, that is covered per the contract, I was asked to cover $3800 of the repair because they were deemed "modifications" required to do the repair: These modifications included $422 for a labor and evaporative. In the past I always had a good experience with AHS; however, a recent a/c issue has me thinking of not renewing my coverage. We have Ben without a/c now for over two weeks. Per the assigned company, they had the part to fix it, but AHS didn’t like their price - they are ordering it. The part has been “ordered” for at least 11 days and there is no word on when it will possibly arrive.

I ve paid them every month for 4 years and after all paid out of my pocket whole amount for new airconditioner. Horrible company to deal with. The email on-line to address issues to President is not valid. None of the representatives know how to get ahold of legal, president, CEO, etc. Don't even have a supervisor you can talk with. Said they would have a supervisor call me back. Has not happened. Soon will be 3 weeks since contractor came out and hasn't submitted an estimate yet. BEWARE!!!!! Now the website wants an invitation from American Home Shield to leave this review. Probably no one will ever read this.

I have had my garage door looked at for two times in a year. AHS listens to the problem and approves someone coming out to fix it, and the payment to AHS, and then what is wrong isn’t covered and when I quiz the workman about how to avoid this large yearly charge, his answer seems to be that I must pay $500-$600 each year to have a garage door.

My bathtub faucet has been inoperable for over a month. AHS has required that we give another week for parts from China to arrive. That's way too long just for them to save a few dollars on a new faucet. However, the air conditioning claim was started and finished in one day, so that claim gets an A+.

AHS offers a dreadful product. When my covered refrigerator broke, they sent a repairman to fix it. It broke a second time and then a third. After the third breakdown, they have simply stopped responding to my requests for a repair. I’ve called them 5 times over 4 weeks to get this resolved. Each time, I’ve been told that they’re working on it, that it’s been escalated and someone will call me back with a solution or new contractor. I’ve yet to receive a return call or resolution. I’d strongly discourage anyone from buying their products.

I have been with American Home Shield for 5 years. I called today to get a better plan and rate. I was put on hold numerous times for a total of an hour and a half. There are much better rates much they are only available to new customers. We are expected to pay more each year for remaining loyal. When i called back the next day to start this process again of reaching some one to help me a man on the Sales Team was extremely rude to me. Being a loyal customer means nothing to this company.

I was given the run around on something that was improperly installed/modified. I spoke with someone named Jenn who has supervisor authority and we both read the same thing and understood the same thing and they still didn't approve my claim. She urged me to take legal action. I don't want to do that but I guess it must be done even though I'm so busy. Wouldn't recommend to anybody.

This is not a good company. I'm a new homeowner and they charged me twice for my home warranty. That second charge cleared out my account and left me with no money and their only response has been that it'll take 3 to 5 business days to get refunded. So now I'm left with nothing for up to a week! They have not offered any way to compensate me or try to resolve my problem while I wait for the refund even though this is a problem they caused. If you're considering this company for a home warranty you should look elsewhere they don't care about their clients.

American Home Shield sent out equally incompetent Crown Home Services to our home. The handle on our kitchen sink fixture was popping off. They tightened the screw and called it good. However 32 days after their visit, it popped off again. Of course, it was outside of the “call back period”. I called the contractor to give them the opportunity to correct the issue and stand by their work, but they refused, stating they need another work order (translation $100). Crown Home Services and “American” — should be called “Indian” Home Shield, are a waste of time and money.

I have had nothing but trouble trying to get my front loader washing and dryer repaired . Over a month just to get 2 companies out to look at my appliances. The wash parts were going to take 15 weeks to get. So we cashed out to buy a new one . And the email and said they are ordering parts. The dryer the company that is going to repair lied and said they already repaired it. Oh my worst service I have ever experienced. I have been ahs for years I cant believe how bad their service has gotten. Im praying I can get my appliances taken care of before I just give up!

I would say negative stars. On the most recent claim that I filed, it took months to get the reimbursement and it was because they kept sending the check to an address I lived at over 5 years ago. On each phone call, I did verify the mailing address, but somehow, they couldn't get it together. I did reach out and email the CEO and an assistant did make contact with me and resolve the issue. The delay put me in a financial hardship and I wouldn't recommend them.

Worst experience ever. They have so many loopholes in their contract, they don’t have to pay for any repairs. They said my drainpipe leak was caused by an act of God so they didn’t cover it. How am I supposed to prove that God didn’t come down from heaven and break my drainpipe? I had to pay their plumber $285 on top of the $100 service call fee, and the pipe is still leaking. The contract says I can cancel at any time, but I had to pay $41.66 “administrative fee” to do so. Run, don’t walk, away from these scammers.

I have had American Home Shield for over 30 years. Their customer service has declined. It is difficult to get service providers and when you do they wait and wait for approval from American Home Shield. It takes 2 weeks to get a washer repaired, 4 weeks to get an AC repaired. After over 30 years I call to cancel my service and they are charging me a month's payment for cancelling. I will NEVER go back to them after the horrible experience I have had in the last year with them.
