There is a huge gap between AHS and their contractors. I was immediately charged $100 to schedule an appointment, which would have been fine if they showed up in a timely fashion. Once here, the technician said he checked the system for leaks, finding a small pressure valve that was defective. The technician showed it to me then threw it out in my yard so I couldn't have it. I was then charged what I found out to be almost 2x the normal amount to add coolant. Two weeks later the problem reoccurred and I contacted AHS. I complained about the cost of the previous service but got no response on being gouged. They said the company they hired, Climate Mechanical was no longer affiliated and they would send someone else out at no charge. Then I was contacted by Climate Mechanical and they set an appointment, which they cancelled the day of and didn't reschedule. AHS has not followed up. In conclusion, it appears AHA has no effective network of honest contractors and no control, concern or pricing standards with the contractors they use. I was charged a total of $850 for 5lbs of refrigerant. All we ask is to be treated fairly, which we have not been, and to receive competent service and adequate follow up. I will contact AHS, hopefully they will get another contractor out here. I assumed when Climate Mechanical cancelled someone else would have been scheduled. It has been over a week and I've heard nothing from them.

When I signed up, I was told that include was a free pre-season HVAC tune up. Ot was in writing with my account summary page in mt contract. When I cslled the first time to schedule, i was told it had not been set upp in my area and to call back in a couple of days which i did. Now the associate told me i was not covered. I asked to eascalate to her supervisor. He then told me the promotion was over and no longer available. I never received any dead lines and it specifically stated in my account summary it was included. The supervisor did not provide any alternatives and did not care if I canceled

I started having plumbing problems on a Sunday night and I reached out to American Home Shield and requested a plumber and paid my deductible that same day. A plumber did come to my home Monday morning and was only there a few minutes and said that someone from his company would call me later that day after they reached out to American Home Shield to discuss my problem with them though I had not been told anything about the problem. It was after 5 pm and I had not heard anything from the Plumbing company or AHS and so I called the plumbing company and was told that AHS would send me an email with information about what they were going to do to resolve the problem but after not hearing anything 24 hours later and being unable to use the bathrooms in my home I called a local plumber who came 24 hours later and made the necessary repairs at a cost of $2,400.00. This seems to be how AHS deals with issues that can't wait to be fixed. AHS knows the homeowner will resolve the problem and pay for the repairs which makes having this service just another added cost to me.

On previous filing of claims the techs sent out were incompetent and/or AHS refused to listen to the tech when he repeatedly told them something couldn't be fixed therefore dragging out the process and causing me and my family to suffer by not having a fridge or a washing machine. The last request for dryer repair was excellent. The tech new exactly what was wrong , located the part in a timely manner and repaired the clothes dryer the very next day. I wish AHS would listen to its customers more and take us seriously.

I rent my house. In the past month, I've had two issues with the AC unit and microwave. The regulator with the AC unit will need to be replaced. Why it was just "repaired" and not replaced is beyond me. It will be another $75. service charge.

AHS did a quick and good job having my microwave assessed and replaced. The installation did not happen because company that delivered would not hook up external exhaust. The microwave replacement had external exhaust as the original one did but the delivvery folks said "they do not do that" so I had to go through the expensive and time to hire someone who did.

There were two occasions this summer when we needed a/c service and they could not get someone out for several days. I explained that we have two very fluffy dogs that could not tolerate an un air conditioned house but they were very unsympathetic and made no effort to try and get us a quicker appt. I ended up calling my own a/c contractor who came the same day and I paid out of pocket.

There is a competition AHS & the contractors. Contractors have become salesmen. Contractors do limited repairs knowing there is still a problem. I've had contractors throw parts that AHS bought for the repair drown in the trash over the years with AHS.

The technicians that were sent out were quick and efficient. 1 st tech recommend replacement of the dryer vs the cost of parts necessary for repair, 2nd tech sent out because they needed a 2nd opinion because of cost. Well parts got ordered and a month later parts were still on order and finally American Home Shield stepped up and offered a replacement option. Service was good, it just took to long for a resolution on this appliance. I had a previous appliance that failed and the service was very quick and efficient.

I filed a claim regarding furnance and company that was selected by AHS - Fast Response Heating & Cooling were terrible! This company has had awful reviews from customers consistently and understandably so as they are awful. Even after multiple complaints to the company's owner and AHS. I do not understand why AHS still continues to use them as a vendor? That alone has made me question if I want to continue with AHS.

Out of three appliances request, only one was completed successfully.One was declined unceremoniously and perhaps fraudeulently ie the frigde! The main issue the HVAC with duct work was not honored after been dragged out for months and after i have invested my own money to make sure i get repair done! i already paid for the first part of the repair by self and the second part the vendor refused to come back after giving flimsy excuses a nd wrong diagnoses for over months. AHS is aware, read the notes! Even then i was given the go ahead to do repair by your rep as vendor refuses to come back and i paid $602 for it and i am yet to be compensated, yet you want to keep charging me monthly without doing your part

Your customer service department needs help. You have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They like to make sure that you don't take surveys by staying on the phone line so you hang up and don't give them a rating. If you don't hang up they will call you on another line to try to make you click over and not get the survey or transfer you to a voicemail. I have had this happen at least three times. You need a different method of getting customer call ratings cause the current method you have is garbage and flawed.

The vendors they use are horrible. They half want to work. They want to charge prices under the table to customers. When talking AHS about it they did nothing. My refrigerator still don't work. The replacement program is horrible. We have two accounts and receive no discount. Customer service has went completely down and they are rude. We have had services with AHS for years and have seen how service in recent times have not been up to standard

We wanted one of our ac units to get a tune up and the AC company said there was a leak and claimed that it was a pre existing condition which I don't know how they could make that claim when we didn't know about it. So American Home Shield said they wouldn't cover it because of some BS that a lazy ac technician made up and we paid $100 and he didn't even do a tube-up cleaning just said there was a problem and said we could call them to fix it. Kind of disappointed that we get a home warranty and they don't take care of the problem

Their plans work for home appliances, plumbing and electrical. Unfortunately, they decided to outsource the electronics protection plans to Allstate, and Allstate outsourced to Squaretrade, and long story short, the latter is simply a waste a of time and you won't get anything done with them, therefore, the electronics plan are no longer feasible via AHS. Sorry.

We had a plumber come out and they left to say they would need an authorization to fix the toilet. They never fixed the other two leaks we had in the master bath sink and tub. I called and still no one came out to fix them but the $100 was taken out of our account. Then we get a call and said you don't cover and it would be like $500 to fix it. We have this warranty to help us and this didn't help us and the bathroom is still not fixed and the other bathroom leaks are not fixed

I put in a ticket for an issue. The person assigned did not come on the agreed upon day/time. When he finally came, he cussed at me in my home. I called to American Home Shield to complain about the service and escalate the issue. They claimed they escalated it on two different times in the system, it never was. The original ticket was opened early May, 2022 - and resolved finally by mid August, 2022, after I called again to escalate it - they said a manger would call - they never did - then whomever I spoke with, maybe the escalation team put in a new ticket which I was reimbursed for and that new assigned company came out to service my house. No discussion on if that other company was followed up with and an investigation took place to find out how they can treat their customers that way. I was very dissatisfied with the service first go round and how AHS acted - took 3 months to get resolved but they kept calling me to renew my contract. Very unhappy! Everytime I called AHS, I reached someone in Asia - they could not understand what I was saying, was on the phone for 30-40 minutes every time to escalate my issue but apparently it was never recorded. Just unhappy across the board.

It took several trips to my home to solve the problems on my clothes dryer and air conditioner. They both needed repairs within a couple of weeks of each other. To your credit, you kept sending repair people ( very nice ones by the way) until both problems were resolved.

They are very timely. However we got a 2nd opinion after w were told it was going to cost us out of piket to repair our AC, our 2nd opinion ended up costing 185.00 to totally fix the problem. The contractors they send I think are out just for the money & don't care about the customer.

They have not taken feedback on companies that give poor service. I have used C&S Plumbing through this policy many times. They almost always have to be called back within 24 hours to fix the same issue. That gets frustrating. They finally stopped using them for heating and air which is fantastic. But we still get them for plumbing. The plumbing side has not improved.

The contractor's were great; what was not good at all was the poor customer service - you explain the problem and they just kept coming back to me with what I felt like were excuses - it cost me an additional $1000.00 due to this. I paid to have something done that they said was not covered by the warranty and it made no change and due to the delays and issues all summer (literally months) I had to purchase a portable air conditioner so that we could work and sleep in our home. And then I had to come up with 3600 +- for the new unit, which again the warranty is a bit misleading - it needs to be much more consumer friendly. Your legal team has covered AHS rear for sure but not very well stated for the lay man. Then they ordered the wrong unit - twice - I will say, it is cooling the house down now but the unit is larger than the older unit and loud - loud like you are sitting in the back of a jet. The contractor came out and lowered the fan to its lowest setting but it is still very loud. Now I have an electrical issue which I can't prove is due to the larger unit but whenever it comes on the lights flicker - an electrician came out but we still have the flickering going on. What was discovered is that there are some issues but nothing that AHS covers. Which sucks cause it wasn't a problem before but now it is.

Each time I've had to place a service request i have had response the same day with a provider. Service is usually scheduled within 7 days. Any issues have been resolved quickly after service provider visit.

Our AC broke on Monday evening and they got it fixed within a week. Marcus/Tyler the technicians were respectful and quick! April the dispatcher was very accommodating and got the techs out quickly!

On one occasion, the problem was not resolved, after the third visit the problem was fixed, I had another issue with the knob on my shower,the service guy put the knob on instead of replacing it, the knob is off again. Recently I requested service on my air conditioner, the guy came,he was here about 20 minutes, he said the problem was fixed, it was ok for 2 weeks, I'm having the same problem.

My first service request was for a hot water heater and it was denied die to age, even though they say age appliance doesn't matter. They even let me get a second opinion for another service fee, knowing full well they were going to deny it. So $250 later I had to hire my own plumber to fix my hot water heater. The company never sent me an email that was promised bt 3 representative s saying why it was denied.
