First time we tried to use them for A/C tune-up the contractor never showed/called/returned calls to myself or the company and their solution was to keep trying to contact this person after almost 2 months of zero contact from him instead of suggesting or referring a different contractor and I had to go through hoops to initiate a refund ..2nd time I used the service was relatively flawless and pleasant experience

My request services has been excellent until the last company to come fix my service wasn't as responsive after the job. He said he would call since he couldn't fix it. I asked them for a estimate if they were to fix my problem, they didn't reach out to me. American shields did not update me either. I tried to reach someone one. They helped the best way they could, but I wasn't satisfied with the way it was handled.

Website doesn't allow notes so I had to assume I needed an AC guy. He was here 15 min, said we needed a plumber. He was nice and called AHS to transfer the ticket. No AC from Friday to Monday due to fear it would leak again. Plumber showed me the clog in the AC line and cleaned it out.

They don't always repair your appliances. They take the word SOLEY from the repair technician and never contact the customer. They do NOT take any input from the customer on decisions or any information OR evidence from the customer on those decisions. You get Tech that is inexperienced, in a hurry, mad or just wrong, and you are out thousands. I've used AHS for 30 years and will change when the contract is up. THEY HAVE CHANGED AND IT ISN'T FOR THE BETTER!

Great website to input requests, timely follow up by vendors, but AHS covers almost nothing claiming them to be pre-existing conditions. A warranty is supposed to cover any defaults, disappointed, probably will not renew. Vendors are also in way too much of a hurry during service calls, do the bare minimum and in some cases don't fix the issue as they treat it as not as important as a cash paying customer.

I have hand mostly good work done except for my air conditioner in 2021. It's been a year and they have just ignored the mess. Have to go a private company to have it replaced. Between placer heating and air and Ams they couldn't decide what to do. From May to nearly July in the heat of summer. No help then told me I would get a by out. Never happened and the they still ignore me!

They were rude to my wife when she called in. It took several days to get someone out allowing more damage to occur to our ceiling because of what was occurring. When my wife asked about secondary issues with damaged grywall they rudely told her that was not covered and she should read her contract more closely. I was on a ship working at the time and really hoped I could rely on my warranty company to assist her and could not have been more dissatisfied. I was. Encouraged to switch warranty companies because of AHS offering outstanding service. Very disappointing.

Because I was assigned a contractor instead of picking the company I had been using for years. Staff told me I couldn't choose My HVAC people called you and I was assigned to them within 10 minutes. Not good customer service when someone requests a specific contractor ( who is on your list of contractors) and then is given rude and incorrrect information by your staff.

The website is not easy to use especially when trying to renew. Doesn't allow you to choose annual renewal with discount and almost lost us as customers because of it. Not always easy to work with when trying to get reimbursement for buying new appliance. Still waiting on that. Been a year and a half and no one can get back to me. There are some very good perks with this company. However, certain aspects make it frustrating to work with.

My first experience was good but my second call was not answered. I was told to find my own repair service which I havebeen unable to do yet I am billed for a service call when there has been NO service. The reason I got AHS was so I could get qualified technicians and not have to search for them myself. the authorization to locate and hire a technician by myself is useless and I can't do it. I should not be billed $125 for a non existant service call. The phone ladies are nice but they can only do so much.

My garage door stopped working. I ordered a repair through AHS. When the tech got here to fix it he told me that none of the service or parts I needed were covered by AHS. I had to pay $400 out of pocket on top of my $125 deductible. I have the highest policy offered and it still didn't cover anything. It would have been cheaper to call a repair man directly. The repairman was excellent but in this case AHS was worthless.

We have been with AHS for 19 years. Every year the monthly fee goes up and so does the service fee. We recently found out, that a new customer can get a better plan for less money than the plan we have. We were told that we would have to wait until our contract was up and not renew it. Then wait a month and sign up for a new plan. Way to take care of your long time customers AHS!!!

Experience with AHS and the vendor. I had to wait over a month for a repair because they were sending a vendor that was not capable of fixing my appliance. I had to demand they start asking the vendor if they repair this type of item before just assigning them to my job. I even called two myself and had to let the AHS rep know they did not fix my item and we need to find someone else. I felt like I was doing their job and was very frustrated as this was a major appliance in my home that is used on a daily basis.

I was under the impression when I signed up many years ago, that the deductible was all I needed to pay for any repairs or replacements. Unfortunately, that was not the truth. As long as I have been making monthly payments my deductible should cover any services I need. I am getting a furnace and I have to pay out of pocket, so I am not sure why I have this service.

I've had 2 service requests. One was great, the other not so much. When calling to address the issue there is no resolution or reasonable attempt to resolve the issue. I've twice asked for a supervisor and not been connected with one nor received a callback from a supervisor. Additionally there's no way to voice my concerns about this particular service provider. This means there's no recourse for the lack of satisfactory service and they're able to continue in this manner.

Contractor was very professional and knew exactly how to make the repair in a timely manner. My only reservation to making a five star review is that the contractor did not repair the drywall that was removed to access the shut off valve that was repaired. The contractor stated that this was not normally included in a plumbers scope of work.

AHS did a quick and good job having my microwave assessed and replaced. The installation did not happen because company that delivered would not hook up external exhaust. The microwave replacement had external exhaust as the original one did but the delivvery folks said "they do not do that" so I had to go through the expensive and time to hire someone who did.

We had a good experience with our re-key technician but Alvarez Pools, who they sent out for our pool filter, seemed very shady. We had a second opinion who basically completely disagreed with their diagnosis and said that it sounds like Alvarez Pools was trying to scam us, and that AHS has called them out to give second opinions after Alvarez Pools many times. It feels like they are trying to get out of covering what should be included in the deal. Hopefully AHS will correct this after the 2nd opinion.

There is a huge gap between AHS and their contractors. I was immediately charged $100 to schedule an appointment, which would have been fine if they showed up in a timely fashion. Once here, the technician said he checked the system for leaks, finding a small pressure valve that was defective. The technician showed it to me then threw it out in my yard so I couldn't have it. I was then charged what I found out to be almost 2x the normal amount to add coolant. Two weeks later the problem reoccurred and I contacted AHS. I complained about the cost of the previous service but got no response on being gouged. They said the company they hired, Climate Mechanical was no longer affiliated and they would send someone else out at no charge. Then I was contacted by Climate Mechanical and they set an appointment, which they cancelled the day of and didn't reschedule. AHS has not followed up. In conclusion, it appears AHA has no effective network of honest contractors and no control, concern or pricing standards with the contractors they use. I was charged a total of $850 for 5lbs of refrigerant. All we ask is to be treated fairly, which we have not been, and to receive competent service and adequate follow up. I will contact AHS, hopefully they will get another contractor out here. I assumed when Climate Mechanical cancelled someone else would have been scheduled. This was my 4th call to repair the same problem with my Dryer. Fixed each time but eventually breaks again. I can't be with out a dryer for as long as it takes (3 weeks each time). I talked to 3 people at AHS and was hoping to get the dryer replaced. They said they could not replace as long as they can repair. I get that but for me it breaking every month or two and then not having a dryer for 3 weeks or more with 5 people in my home is redicilous. I purchased a new Dryer from Lowe's 2 days ago. Delivered today. I did not want to go that route but I can't trust that I won't have a working dryer over the holidays. I am disappointed that it turned out this way. We have been a longtime customer and have always gotten great service in other areas but the dryer put me over the edge. I do not think at this point I will be renewing my contract in January.

The repair guy was very prompt and fixed the problem quickly . Then he left and I went to open the door and It wouldn't work so I called him and he came back. Come to find out it was the plug-in it was plugged into.
