They have great customer service team who is always willing to get the problem fixed right away. Our oven went out and they replaced it. It was nice and we love it! Just recently our ice maker and hose went out. It was fixed as soon as the part came in. We are grateful that we have this warranty company!

My appointment was scheduled for the next morning, the representative called me before coming and was right on time. Usually gets the job done pretty quickly. The only problem I have is when they were supposed to take my spouse off my account and instead charged my x's credit card instead of mine. Usually all service gets done quickly. M - th is best times to make a service call. If you make a service call that is an emergency on f - Su. Usually you wint get a call back from the company coming to do the work because they have a 48 hour leeway to call you back.

During the 7 plus years we have been with AHS, we have utilized the policy for several HVAC issues and two issues with our kitchen range. The tradespeople associated with AHS are professional, trustworthy and as prompt as they can be under the given circumstances. AHS staff are just courteous, but the online scheduling process is nice also.

For the most part I have been happy with their service. The only problem I have experienced is with one of their technician subcontractors who was awful. When my washing machine broke, the tech AHS sent out reported it was a control board but since they no longer made that control board they replaced the washing machine. And they replaced it with a very nice model. So I will keep AHS and feel better about what I will do if something in my home breaks.

Efficient, prompt, reliable. About 3 hours after I filed a claim, I got a call from an AC Company and made an appointment for the next day. A couplr of hours later they called and said they could come out that same afternoon. They came, found the problem and fixed it. Great service!it.

At first, my experience with AHS did not look promising. Sometimes I would get the runaround from the receptionist because she didn't understand me. You have to be patient and wait to be connected to a more knowledgeable person. At the end of the day, everything worked out good.

I have been with them 20 years, during this time I have had items fo our on me. I guess only having 1 bad experience is pretty good for 20 years, but you know how it is, people always remember the bad. It was a language barrier, still upsets me to this day. Why can't they get English speaking associates? Other than that issue they would of been 5 stars! I want to talk to someone in English, they understand English & don't sound like they're reading from the script they do read from.

One of the electric motors on the gas furnace was making noise and obviously wearing out. Technician came the very day I contacted American Home Shield, agreed that it needed to be replaced. Motor was replaced about three days later. Furnace sounds fine now.

The service professional's work was great. However, the service reps for home shield were hard to understand and they didn't seem to grasp what the repair entailed. It ended up not being covered after a couple of phone calls from service techs that said they didn't do that work. It was frustrating. The garage door issue was handled promptly, tho.

After two failed attempts to repair my washer the repairman determined it needed to be replaced. Home Shield made the replacement purchase exceptionally easy and their replacement allowance was very reasonable, allowing us to get a new washer within a couple days. Very happy with the service.

there are a lot of technicalities where a repair isn't really covered by American Home Shield. When they send a repair person out they try to up sell you for exuberant prices. For example, I had garage door coverage, but when the repair person got to my home I found that the coverage was for the garage door opener only. I had already paid the $100 service charge so I thought it would be cheaper to have him make the repair. The spring had broken on my garage door. His estimate was another $650. I called a local, reputable garage door company and the charge was $170. This kind of price gouging has happened three times.

Prompt friendly service all around . From the time you report an issue the company representative gathers the relevant data and once everything is verified a service company is assigned. That company then makes contact for the service call . This transition takes minutes if not just a few hours so no long wait.

Newer customer

Repeatedly asked company to not use a 1 star rated repair company, they would not listen to my reasoning. Ended up taken 2 months of frustration before paying for my new stove during the Holiday season. I was frustrated with the repair company (that I requested not to use). The second time Ibhad to use that same company for my refrigerator that company provided excellent service. I would have liked American Home Shield to listen better.

I had no problem setting an appointment for service. The service tech was at my home on time the next day to solve my leaking plumbing issue. He was mannerly, clean in his company uniform, demonstrated professional knowledge of the service he was providing and spoke with me in clear English, I like that. When leaving, he looked over his shoulder to insure the area was clean and of course insuring he had all of his tools. lol I am very pleased with the service. I have been anti home warranties after a not so pleasant experience with a past work order with a different provider. That's no longer the case. I have used the Home shield warranty twice now, both times top shelf. Give them a shot if you are contemplating a service for your home. They actually show up and do the job requested without, "Well, that's good enough". If you ever hear that, the job is not quality; run those guys off. Gary

My premium was $96.00 monthly and $100.00 service fee. Everything that was major cost, somehow AHS found that it was not in their contract. Did better getting my own handy man to do a better job at a better price
