My dishwasher is operating better than when it was brand new!! I always thought there was something not quite right with it from the beginning. Great service and totally satisfied!!

The ability to request and track service online is so helpful. They also always have someone call within 24 hours. We’ve had issues with companies not fixing the issue at hand and their customer service is amazing! They will send a new company to make sure things are set and free of charge! The customer focus is clear.

They are Very professional and timely. Identified the problem and repaired it immediately. Explained what the problem was and what kind of pipe they put in to replace the old pipes. The next phase was to replace Sheetrock which was done quickly and professionally.

AHS has given me outstanding service. They handle your repair request within minutes. They give you the name and telephone number of the company and they also have the company give you a call to set up a time to do the repair. I highly recommend them and their cost per month for their services very inexpensive.

Only thing is I wish it was either a same day or next day service. I had to wait line 3 days with no washer and we wash. Also I had to wait around the house all day Saturday because I didn’t know exactly when they would come. The gave an estimated time, that was from 1-4. But I couldn’t make any plans due to having to wait around on a Sat. Rather than that the service was fine.

I submitted my issue online. I paid the fee. A email was sent of the company who was going to take care of this issue. The company came out to look at the issue. They ordered the part. Came back and replaced the part. This all happened in 2 weeks. No problem or issue

American Home shield offers prompt services. The customer service representative are always helpful and professional. I have called three times for repairs and one of the repairs was my heater. That day we were expecting a snow storm. AHS send someone over my house within 2 hrs on a weekend to fix the heater. Thank you AHS!

I am frustrated that each person I talked to on the phone was very difficult to understand. It was apparent that I was talking to call centers that were not in America. Some call center employees were unable to answer questions because they couldn't understand the question. When giving the email address for the cash out option, the call center employee's English was so understandable that the wrong email was given. I had to make contact through Facebook to get the correct email address. For a company named American Homeshield, I would expect to talk to someone with adequate English skills.

American home shield replaced my water heater and fixed my kitchen faucet. Technicians are expert in their jobs. You can call them in the middle of the night if you have emergency situations like leaking pipes. Yes, they also fixed my leaking pipe. They are awesome with their services.

I had bad experience w/customer service last fall. We needed our refrigerator fixed and dealing with the outside of of the United States customer service was very poor. First 1 rep I had trouble understanding their English and the rep refused to transfer me to another rep or even a supervisor. When I told them the 2nd opinion company could not come out for about 5 weeks (this was for a refrigerator repair) at first they did not want to give me another Company. They finally called the company who confirmed they couldn't come out in a timely manner and only then did they give me another referral. That company informed me the refrigerator could not be fixed andwrote on my paperwork I needed it replaced. When I didn't hear anything in about 10 days I again called customer service and the rep told me they didn't have anything. I had to argue with them to call the company and after they did I was told the confirmed what I said. I was told I would hear from someone soon. Again after about 10 days no one had called me so I called custoemr service again. Again I was told there was nothing in the record and again I told them to call the company because my paperwork said the refrigerator couldn't be fixed. I was put on hold and while they said they would try to reach the company. When the rep came back on the line she said the company couldn't be reached. When I asked about the time difference I told them the company was not open yet as it was 8:00am CA time and they opened at 9. I was very upset when they said I should call back. I explained that we were losing food a nd needed this repaired. The rep transferred me to the Escalation Dept and the rep Eddie told me tthey would take care of the matter and he would cal on his next working day 2 days later. Again about 10-14 days we heard nothing. Somehow I got the number for the replacement Dept which is here in the States. That rep representative told me Eddie had indeed mad a note that he would follow up and he never did. I was also informed that the previous reps had put down that the "failure could not be duplicated" which actually meant there was not problem. She said she knew what questions to ask and would resolve ghe issue and start the replacement process. By the end of her work shift that day she called me back and informed me she had gotten the correct nfomraton and would start the replacement process the next day. Also when talking to the customer service reps in the Phillipines, it appeared that if I asked a question that was not covered in their "script" they could not answer it. It was very frustrating.

One person sent for heater service was condescending when we asked questions-and was “done” in 15 mins. Person sent to fix heater 6 mos later didn’t fix the problem —just wanting to say it might be the masonry brick the house is built out of. When asked for someone else, they sent him again as a Sr Tech. He said the same thing and was very short with us. I had to insist and ask them to cancel my contract and refund the $100, then they agreed to a 2nd opinion. This guy diagnosed in 15 mins, ordered part, came back and fixed it. He was friendly and respectful the entire time. But I shouldn’t have to insist on a 2nd opinion when 4 visits by the other guy didn’t work.

I had to call to find out about my refrigerator repair..AHS did not intact me regarding the replacement. If I hadn’t Allen them, not sure when the process would have been accomplished. I dealt with some very nice people in the purchasing dept., and one person who was very rude and unhelpful. Turns out the email they were sending me had the wrong email address. If we hadn’t called back, and talked to a very helpful young man, who looked into the issue and his supervisor found the problem. The previous rep would not allow us to talk to a supervisor.

sometimes you get a rep that refuse to assist you properly in all the years that happen twice, a few weeks ago i had a rep that only wanted to tell me what he seen in the record he refused to call to see if my new unit had arrived nor if there was a date for the arrival, once i called back the young lady called C&C confirmed my united had arrived and asked about an install date, it was cold and i had not heat but did he care no but I was glad I called back and was able to get setup and unit installed within a few days some reps may need additional training

In the end they came through with soving my problem but it took 1.5 years. and 5 service calls for a hundred buck per replacing the ice maker 5 times. Then I got to talk to the lady is purchasing. She was amazing and in about a weeks time she got my new appliance delivery taken care of . I give her 5 stars plus 5 more. Thank you.

When our dryer failed they took seven months to fix and still does not perform satisfactory. Again no offer to replace. I still keep them because in the total they are a good value!

I have been with AHS for over 20 years. They have grown so big that they have lost the personal touch that used to set them apart from other companies. You can't reach a "real person" without a lenthy phone call with the automated system. When you do reach a real person, their responses to your inquiry are usually not an answer that helps you solve the problem. Their prices increase every year and their coverage was reduced substantially this year. I am, however, renewing my subscription with them again this year as they are the best company out there that I have been able to find.

I had a tech out for my furnace same day. The tech worked with my difficult work schedule and made it work for me. $125 service call fee for a $700 plus repair right before a huge cold front (-31 windchill) came through. I was warm and toasty.

Outstanding customer service. Very easy to communicate with when I called to request service. The company that came to repair my furnace was very professional. The worker diagnosed and located the problem quickly. Took apart the electrical board and made the repairs needed. He was done in less than 30 mins.

Reasons for not giving 5 stars; 1. The cost seems a little high to me for the size of my home though I admit I have none done comparisons. 2. The, "what is covered list" does not seem to be very detailed and a bit confusing. 3. Upon an issue arising that required approval, an e-mail was sent and no phone call. Over all I do think it is a 3 program. The overall service we have received has been 4 and we have been very pleased with companies that performed repairs. Thank you.

When I called I could only speak to a recording which was so frustrating. The service assigned to me does not work on the weekends my house was 62 degrees and a non-fumctioning furnace . They came on Monday...with the furnace out it was a cold weekend. The Service representative was very kind, efficient, and worked well and we had HEAT again! Can't answer the value as I don't know what other companies cost. My cost is always $75.

Excellent service -just as promised! Woke up to a cold house. Called AHS and were connected with a repairman who was by first thing the next day. Fused furnace motor was quickly replaced and our home warm again by noon that second day.

Created service request for my washing machine on Dec 11 was contracted to Whirpool who subcontracted to another company, they came out the following Thursday 12/17 and deemed the machine unrepairable due to parts no longer being available, they sent update to Whirlpool and myself and AHS that evening via email, I called AHS more then 5 times over the next few weeks to see what the delay was only to be put on hold each time for over an hour while they tried to reach whirlpool to see why system not updated yet; being a customer for over 20 years this was a complete shock to go almost an entire month waiting on resolution, being forced to pay to use laundry mat in the interim and during the covid pandemic when trying to avoid others. Only reason I'm giving a 3 and not a 1 is because this is the first time I've had an issue with the service received.

American Home Shield has been a life saver! Purchased our first home and had no idea who to call for home repairs. American Home Shield took my problems and called the correct company every time. I don't understand why everyone who owns a home doesn't have American Home Shield.

Work done well and fast. I had a different insurance for years it was not fast to respond in fact it took months to fix somethings. But since I've changed to AHS its been professional and fast to respond and completed there jobs on time. Even thur this difficult times.

My refrigerator was leaking water out the back. I called America Home Shield and they sent a repairman out and he said it was a bad valve that was open too long causing the ice maker to overflow . The problem was fixed without any problems . I highly recommend America Home Shield.

If you are only using them for appliances repair/replacement that is good. If anything major goes wrong like furnace plumbing electrical or roofing give it up. Our furnace went out and the price to replace it was $2800 as it couldn't be repaired, they are paying $700 on a buyout. Nothing it you are going to let the repair company replace it. If I was going to let them replace it it was still going to cost me $2800. My electrical system is bad. Started tripping circuits and the guy came to look at it and said it needed to be replaced and that AHS WILL ONLY PAY FOR MINOR REPAIRS. This is crazy! Why wouldn't the replace it?
