They do replace items when they are unable to be fixed, but sometimes getting service and an appliance fixed or replaced takes a long time. We had a oven that would not work for 3 months before it was replaced and our AC we put in a service request for it in February and it never got fixed/replaced until June so if your willing to wait a significant amount of time to get items replaced/fixed then by all means they are great. Otherwise I would just pay for the services yourself.

I have had to have a few service calls. Was satisfied with the prompt service. Not pleased with having to place a couple of service calls for my air conditioner n having to pay for the freon both times within a year. $90 the first time n $130 most recently. I don’t understand why the problem couldn’t just be fixed immediately instead of filling it with freon that is just going to leak. So far I’m very pleased with my washing machine service . Have not yet received my reimbursement because I just made the purchase n submitted the receipt to AHS.

In general Home Shield has been very helpful referring contractors to my home to fix things that break. There is one contractor who is not being helpful in Buffalo and is badmouthing Homeshield and I am trying to make Homeshield aware of this but otherwise I have gotten a lot of help from Homeshield and I am happy with them.

It took 1 month to get my induction stove fixed, it was an expensive part, and I can't fault AHS for shipping of the part, as soon as it came in they sent the service person out to replace it, service was completed and my stove is working again. I am satisfied with their service.

Service was great, however using a call center and folks that have heavy accents then read from a script is my only complaint. That is not my idea of a way to handle customers.

Great customer service. I have called in to request service over 3 times and I paid only one-time fee service call because it was the same problem that the contractor fixed and still have the same problem. Great Company to use for home warranty!

The company showed up next day diagnosed the problem, with in a couple days the part came in . We were back in business. No hassle no problems. Very happy with American Home Shield!

The American home shield representative was acting Very fast after I posted the service request. I got email response the next day regarding the service arrangements. I then got further reminder the day prior to the scheduled service. I even got notices when the service person is on the way to my home. It was an excellent service.

Certified Electrical Technologies came on 8/24 to repair my ceiling light. Technician said he had to order some parts and would come back. After not hearing from them, I called yesterday. Because of Covid they have not been able to get the parts but promised they would come back and finish the job.

Most providers were excellent, others were good, but a couple providers were less than satisfactory with timeliness and with billing additional charges. Replacement items were not covered if they malfunctioned, and I was referred by AHS to the manufacturer's warranty division, which told me they didn't cover it either, as AHS hadn't handled the warranty on the item. Premiums were raised every year, so after the third year, my premium had doubled. Customer service was polite, but were sometimes difficult to understand, with rote responses. Only one customer service representative returned my call with information as promised, while several others said they would call back but never did.

I have had four claims with AHS in the last six months. AHS assigned a technician to the work right away and they came within time limit, even sooner for issues needing. One problem (refrigerator leaking) was resolved at time of the visit. The first of the other three took months to resolve. A microwave door had to be ordered it took more than two months and when it arrived it was the wrong one. Another month and a half we final got the right one. The next was the upstairs air conditioner went out. The resolution required parts which, after tow weeks, have not arrived. The next problem (a water leak in the walk and ceiling) was quickly resolved. I have called AHS about the delay in the parts twice and the representatives were very nice and helpful; however, they could not find out what was holding up the parts. The.y both tried to call the purchasing department but no one answered the phone. They tried a second time and a recording said the wait time was two hours. We still don’t know the status of the parts. I experienced this problem before. My washer went out and could not be repaired. It took six months to wait for a new one. I don’t know the why there is so many problems there. Is it a lack of enough people to handle the parts or should you add another shift? Something needs to be done if you expect a 5 star rating.

My dryer broke and was burning the clothes I dried. I called AHS and they sent a repairman right away. He determined that the dryer was at the end of its useful life, and recommended it be replaced. The replacement process was smooth and simple. Thank you American Home Shield!

AHS is better than the other competitors out there. We've had them for over 10 yrs and they've had positive results. Even in the few instances when something didn't go right, AHS made it acceptable. We've had to replace items and the replacement offers are good.

Our refrigerator's ice maker wasn't draining correctly thus creating ice to accumulate under the deli tray. Nathan with Mr. Appliance found the problem and ordered the part. Once the part came in, he came out to fix the problem. He did an excellent job.

I had no problem until recently when I made the request for a ceiling fan repair/replacement 2hixh was scheduled and no contact.was made from the person selected so I canceled it. I rescheduled the appointment and requested another company but the same company was scheduled who didn't contact me again. So that appointment was canceled. I am now waiting for my refund for the service fee which was processed even though no service was provided for the ceiling fan.

The professional sent to do the job was excellent; however, I was disappointed with the directive of AHS to not do the complete job. We were made responsible for removing a tile and are now responsible for replacing the tile. I have had an experience with another home warranty company for a rental property where they had to remove a tile fir access to the problem snd they provided the professional and covered all the cost related to resolving the problem. Again, to be clear, the professional who did the job was 5 star.

My experience with American Home Shield has been 90% positive. They answer the call at all times and are very respectful. During the call they keep up to date at all time. Only issue has was when my fridge was leaking water. the part was on back order and they didn't know when it would be available. So had to insist on getting a resolution because it has been more than 21 days. So it took a while to get to some one with authorization to approve on getting a new fridge because there was no other solution.

The company it's self is a good company. I highly recommend it to save on high cost of repairs. However, some of the agent's you will have a hard time to understand,, due to their accents. I have used them several times, to fix my washer and replace my garage door opener. If you're into saving money on repairs of expensive household equipment, I recommend you get AHS.

Our washer was not spinning so we contacted AHS. They diagnosed the issue and advised us that the circuit board needed replacement, however the part is no longer available so a full replacement of the washer was required. The ordering process was easy and completed all online. AHS replaced the washer within a week of the order.

Excellent. They did a great job letting us know whenever something went wrong and was able to reschedule us for a few days later. My washer was installed correctly and quickly and the gentlemen installing it were very courteous. 10 stars ⭐️

We’ve had to call American Home Shield a couple of times this past year and their response has been swift and handled well, one call involved our air conditioning unit and they had a service tech out immediately. We live in Palm Desert, the temperature was 115, so immediate was mandatory!

I decided to get AHS after I had this company called Select Home Warranty. I am soo glad I went with them. They have good customer service and quality of service. I had them years ago but when I moved I couldn't think of the company I had, soo that's how I ended up with the bad company. Then I remembered AHS, soo I tried them. They have not disappointed me so far. From the customer service to the quality, all the way to the technicians, they are ok with me. Very happy to be with them.

Our Central A/C stopped cooling on Wednesday, July 28. I called AHS and they came on Saturday, July 31. The technician spent just a few minutes with the system and advised me it was a capacitor and he had that on his truck, installed it and we were back in business.

AHS has been easy to work with when I have a need appliances repaired. I have been with them with them for about four years And have had probably eight or 10 minor repairs to dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. All have been satisfactorily repaired. The only change I would like to see is being able to request repair companies who have been sent by AHS before and that I have been particularly pleased with. Sometimes that has been possible but not every time.

All of these years I’ve been a customer and can say I’ve had only 2 bad experiences with service providers; however when I notified AHS about the issue, they rectified it. The only other thing is that I wish AHS let the customer choose the provider they want to come out to their home. As well there needs to be more vetting done if the service providers!

Response time is generally excellent, depending on the assigned vendor. Just be sure ALL required repairs for a particular trade vendor are requested at the initial service request. The vendor will not do anything other than what is on their work order, no matter how small.
