AHS is better than the other competitors out there. We've had them for over 10 yrs and they've had positive results. Even in the few instances when something didn't go right, AHS made it acceptable. We've had to replace items and the replacement offers are good.

My ac went out a couple of weeks ago and it was 90 degrees inside. My original work order was going to have someone there in 4 days. I called back to see if they could get someone out sooner and they were able to get someone to come out the very next day. I was very pleased with everything.

Left AHS after 15 years for a highly rated competitor because of lower rates. After 2 claims that were a huge hassle I returned to AHS. rates are important, but, most important is the reliability of the company to service your claims. That has always been dependable with AHS!

Prompt Response. I get a phone call the next day from the contracted service company to schedule repairs and it's normally within the next day. I really appreciate this level of service because when things go wrong in the home, it's nice to have them repaired in a timely manner.

Our refrigerator's ice maker wasn't draining correctly thus creating ice to accumulate under the deli tray. Nathan with Mr. Appliance found the problem and ordered the part. Once the part came in, he came out to fix the problem. He did an excellent job.

I had no problem until recently when I made the request for a ceiling fan repair/replacement 2hixh was scheduled and no contact.was made from the person selected so I canceled it. I rescheduled the appointment and requested another company but the same company was scheduled who didn't contact me again. So that appointment was canceled. I am now waiting for my refund for the service fee which was processed even though no service was provided for the ceiling fan.

The professional sent to do the job was excellent; however, I was disappointed with the directive of AHS to not do the complete job. We were made responsible for removing a tile and are now responsible for replacing the tile. I have had an experience with another home warranty company for a rental property where they had to remove a tile fir access to the problem snd they provided the professional and covered all the cost related to resolving the problem. Again, to be clear, the professional who did the job was 5 star.

My experience with American Home Shield has been 90% positive. They answer the call at all times and are very respectful. During the call they keep up to date at all time. Only issue has was when my fridge was leaking water. the part was on back order and they didn't know when it would be available. So had to insist on getting a resolution because it has been more than 21 days. So it took a while to get to some one with authorization to approve on getting a new fridge because there was no other solution.

Our washer was not spinning so we contacted AHS. They diagnosed the issue and advised us that the circuit board needed replacement, however the part is no longer available so a full replacement of the washer was required. The ordering process was easy and completed all online. AHS replaced the washer within a week of the order.

The company it's self is a good company. I highly recommend it to save on high cost of repairs. However, some of the agent's you will have a hard time to understand,, due to their accents. AHS has been easy to work with when I have a need appliances repaired. I have been with them with them for about four years And have had probably eight or 10 minor repairs to dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. All have been satisfactorily repaired. The only change I would like to see is being able to request repair companies who have been sent by AHS before and that I have been particularly pleased with. Sometimes that has been possible but not every time.

Our Central A/C stopped cooling on Wednesday, July 28. I called AHS and they came on Saturday, July 31. The technician spent just a few minutes with the system and advised me it was a capacitor and he had that on his truck, installed it and we were back in business.

I had a ceiling leak on 7/25 and they sent a Plumber out right away. I was pleased. However he discovered that the leak was my air conditioning and that company couldn't come out until 8/11 which is tomorrow. Whew! I have called them everyday for a cancellation, to no avail.

All of these years I’ve been a customer and can say I’ve had only 2 bad experiences with service providers; however when I notified AHS about the issue, they rectified it. The only other thing is that I wish AHS let the customer choose the provider they want to come out to their home. As well there needs to be more vetting done if the service providers!

Response time is generally excellent, depending on the assigned vendor. Just be sure ALL required repairs for a particular trade vendor are requested at the initial service request. The vendor will not do anything other than what is on their work order, no matter how small.

We’ve had to submit 3 claims to AHS in the last year and a half. AHS quickly responded, arranging for a service technician to look at the problem within 2-3 days. All problems were resolved to our satisfaction, although we did have to wait on replacement parts to be ordered and shipped.

Overall it’s been good but the communications at times with some agents lately has been extremely frustrating. Or takes more to explain things. I have to request to speak with a supervisor. I understand your call center is not here in the states and I try to be patient. Most times things have been fine but as few times they have made a already stressful situation of needing service, even more stressful. Last week I had water back up in my basement and still progressing. The agent told me to wait 2 days. I was already upset that the request for a return repair I submitted on Saturday was canceled out by your system because it didn’t read it as a return. Monday I was expecting a call for service so I called myself and that’s when I came across this agent that told me to wait another 2 days. We didn’t realize it was still accumulating over the weekend. Slow but still steadily. I could not wait 2 days. He first told me he didn’t see any calls for the toilet to begin with even though a ahs plumber had already been out 3 times. I asked for a supervisor. He told me one wasn’t available. We went back and forth. I told him them get someone else to get on the phone. He kept telling me to call back in. I refused because I didn’t want to start all over again. Eventually someone must have helped him because he pulled up the visits for the toilet and finally said he would put the repair in as expedited. Luckily the plumber was familiar And they squoze me in the next day.

I recently had to replace my refrigerator. I opted to get reimbursed because the area where fridge had to go was very tight. I felt better about selecting the fridge. The check was received within a week. Hardest part of talking with American Home Shield is when I get a representative on the line that has very broken English.

We have been with AHS for over 13 years. We had multiple repairs and 6 replacements. AHS takes the worry out of trying to find a professional and getting the job done efficiently and correct. My sister and I recommend AHS. Especially to people who wouldn't know where to start or afford the repairs.

I was worried about jumping through a lot of hoops, but AMS was the easiest experience I can imagine. I contacted them on a Monday, had an appointment with a repair person on Tuesday. The washing machine couldn't be repaired, so I selected a brand new replacement on Wednesday. The following Wednesday, the new washer was delivered and installed.

requested service got quick response , had repair done called a week later to vendor as repair didn't work called ahs they did not follow up just put in request to same vendor its now been over two weeks and no response I feel like I've been ghosted not happy with your lack of follow up with your vendor if they wont honor their work I should be assigned another vendor and not be charged

The only problem I have is that we know there's a leak in our A/C system. According to the company, we had to go through steps by filling up our A/C and having to pay $200 for it, before we can even order the parts to replace and fix where the leak is. The company knew we had a leak but now this process takes longer and my family is without A\C longer because we have to wait for the part all because of this unnecessary step.

Fairly good. Only one issue, and it's a BIG one. Three weeks without air conditioning. No reason for that!! Customer service has been extremely slow. In addition to that, the customer service agent couldn't explain why the "out of pocket" price was so high. Stated that I needed to contact the air conditioning company and ask "why the charges are so high"? When I contacted the company and asked that very question, it was simply that my policy didn't cover the refrigerant. Why couldn't American Home Shield tell me that? It would be nice to speak with a representative that was easier to understand as well!

I've never had a problem reaching out to the company about any problem. Although this time it took over a week for a tech to come out to repair the HVAC. Thank goodness I was leaving to go out of town for 8 days, other than that dependable and hassle free.

I've used them several times in the last year. I always got contacted quickly by the tradespeople who came here and fixed the problems. I've more than gotten my money's worth, especially calling for plumbers and electricians, both of which, even counting the $100 fee per call, would have cost more than the yearly cost of AHS.

My dishwasher was not working properly so I called for service. Within 48 hours, a contractor had inspected the unit and determined the problem. From there, AHS decided to replace the unit instead of repairing it. Great experience!

We really liked them last year. We had a couple of appliance problems, and they were really great with good customer service. This year, our AC went out, and it was a completely different experience. The AC company that they work with is extremely shady. The guy who came to go over numbers with us was the most bullying salesman I have ever encountered, and was so rude and off-putting that I got rather contentious with him. Once he figured out that he couldn't take advantage of us, it was clear he was ready to leave. Then, he told us that AHS would be paying $2000 (and was still going to charge us a huge amount out-of-pocket), but when we went to ask for a cash-in-lieu offer from them (because we didn't trust him to do the work or give us a fair price), they said that he invoiced them for $340, so that's all they would give us. They had no process for appealing or changing that number. I think that the AC contractor (Air Dynasty) is charging them practically nothing so that they will continue working with him while trying to get all the cash out of the customer, but telling the customer that AHS is paying a lot more so that they don't feel unfairly treated. I could never get them to understand that or even to send me the invoice that he had sent them, so all I got out of them for a $10,000 AC replacement was $340. I would say, if someone has old appliances, it may be worth the investment, but with issues involving more labor such as AC and plumbing, it is not worth it.
