AHS pretty much covered for my appliances! Only thing is that some of the labor fee wasn't covered, it's still cost a bit there. If AHS can deal with the contractors and have those fees down. It'll be even better!!!

AHS is worth the money. But this time they assign a contractor who not only didn’t fix my pump system but left me with nothing working correctly and damaged they caused. Now I have leaking pipes after they stepped and leaned all over them. Watertite failed you and me. My hope is that you never contract them for another pool repair job.

I dislike that they send out the same companies time after to.e even when you tell them those companies don't do anything. It takes forever to get an appliance fixed or replaced. Perfect example is we have had people out 4 times lately over our washer not working. Finally after 3 times we got a different company sent. However after 2 days the washer is again not working. It's been going on for about 2 months and the problem still isn't resolved!

They assign your claim to the contractor while you are still on the phone reporting it. By handling in this way, you may be assigned to someone 50 miles away, that can't get to you for 3 to 4 days. Had they checked closer they might have had one close to you that could have handled sooner. As warranty companys go they are probably as good as any.

We have been without Heat for 10 days now. It is the middle of winter and we are in our 70’s and my husband has breathing issues as a war veteran. We were advised it would take at least a week to get the new furnace but our local contractor advised us he received the incorrect parts yesterday. So more delays. We have been AHS customers for many many years and this is first time we've needed a large repair. Disappointing.

The service techs have always showed up on time. However, one recent problem was never solved by the initial plumber, the problem ended up not being with the tub, but primarily with the toilet; gases were escaping from the base of the toilet, as the customer I figured it out and called AHS again for another fee to come replace the wax ring. Problem resolved - - finally.

It seem like it times a company vendors at time look for a way not to cover an item when it breaks down. I have another contract with you that needs an HVAC repair. They sent someone out there who was going to do the work, but then your company asked for a second opinion because they told me your contractor wanted too much money for the job. The second company couldn’t do it, and now it’s in limbo waiting for approval. This is for a tenant who needs heat in our home. I have several complexes I want to use your company, but you need to be more responsive and take care of things when they break down.

Unsure: Last repair required me to find my own tech with AHS approval, pay the service person $589.67, and wait for the check ... which has not yet arrived nearly a month later. The time it took to get my hot water heater was unacceptable. We were without hot water from January 10 - January 25, 2023. I was very disappointed with the answers I received from the America Home Shield (AHS) representative when I asked questions about my invoice. I was told, I cannot see what you have and I cannot answer your questions, I neededcto contact the Contractor. I asked to speak with the billing/invoice department, no one in billing/invoice answered my call, questions or returned my call, I asked to speak with a Supervisor, no one was available and No supervisor has called me back to this very date. I am very disappointed with AHS. The representative did call us back to see if we were going to accept the service with the contractor or did we want to find our own contractor. We had already accepted the AHS referred contractor on the AHS website. That was ridiculous, calling me and asking if we had made a decision, so AHS can process for the water heater and we had already accepted last night. The contracting company started out responding rudely when I inquired about the cost, when we have AHS coverage. They stated that we had to speak with AHS because AHS only paid a certain portion of the cost and the balance was for the home owner. A constant run around,. The contractor did apologize for their attitude and stated that the customers always accuse them about the cost when the customer has to pay the balance that AHS did not cover on their invoice. The Contractor kept us updated on the status of our water heater and agreed to bring it to us as soon as it was in stock. The contracting company worked well with and for us. As soon as they had the water heater it was delivered snd installed, a satisfied customer. I am very disappointed with AHS, staff and lack of communication.

American home shield is a good company, but some of the workers are very rude. The contractors are very unprofessional, they give wong diagnosis. For my cooktop, 3 contractors gave wong diagnosis. I was starting to get frustrated until ASAP Company came and solve the problem.

I like the fact that it took no more than two days to resolve the problem. The service provider came out the same day that the claim was filed. The next day the claimed was approved and fixed. Amazing!!!

No urgency from majority of representatives. They seem to provide information based on what has been updated in their computers and go no further to help, even when I have checked with the assigned technician's company to get their status. Last year I waited 4 months to get my refrigerator repaired and this year, I waited 6 weeks for them to make a decision that my refrigerator had to be replaced. Very frustrating experience. I don't know the name of the last sales representative I worked with, but she actually went above and beyond to help me with my refrigerator. Like I had already done, she called the repair company to find that they had sent emails to American Homeshield, but the system had not reflected the content. She resolved my anxiety by pushing to get me resolution based on the repair company's recommendations. She deserves a 5 stars, but I do not have her name.

Very disappointed with the results of the last interaction. Specifically the electrician told me absolutely there WAS NOT a water damage issue yet the woman on the phone just repeated the same verbiage as the first electrician stated. While I understand things may not be covered I was very disappointed on how this issue was not resolved. When I asked for input on someone to hire to resolve this issue I was told to do a search online. I just expected more. Hopefully any future issues will be covered so I don’t have to deal with this again

A little upset that it doesn’t cover all appliances. When I called about it—I was told I was too late to add on the service. I would have hoped they would have been more blunt about not covering everything early on and sent emails about it but understand it’s a business and about the money. In the future I will stick with Choice Home—-had them in Indy with no issues and everything was covered.

Having it is peace of mind. But I had to have plumbers come out twice with a bathroom water problem. Having to pay twice the $125 fee was a bit much since the second plumber did nothing but look at my toilet, literally. I had to take the toilet apart, remove it and replace the ring myself. My first claim took 2 professionals to complete. I had to pay 2 deductibles. The second claim was not completed. I tried several times to call, but the only answer was that they were waiting on the diagnosis from the company. They never returned my call. The last claim was for my freezer. It took them 7 days to come out. We lost over $350 worth of meat.

I have been a customer for a long time with American Home Shield and have had excellent service up to my last ticket. My refrigerator went bad, and AHS had Gary Appliance Report Incorporated come to my home. They could not fix the problem and said it was the condenser. No, I'm four days into losing my food in the refrigerator. AHS contacted another Service representative, Brooks Appliance Repair, LLC. They said they would have to order the parts to fix my refrigerator. Now, I have to wait another week or two. I had no choice but to buy a new refrigerator. AHS should have taken care of me better than they did. I will keep both refrigerators after the old one gets fixed. I'm a little disappointed in AHS

I'm a huge supporter of AHS however I was not pleased when it came to my AC system breakdown and AHS did not cover the repairs. Per your own commercials you cover AC systems and that is not completely truthful. If that had been true, you would have received 5 stars.

On the last service request I ended up arranging for a different plumber who was prompt, courteous and great service.

Took over a week to respond. Granted, it was the week between Christmas and New Year, but a message on the voicemail saying they would be closed would have been helpful. Other than that, they came and diagnosed the issue quickly and fixed it within a 1/2 hour.

Often it has taken too long for service, i.e. waiting in the heat of summer for A/C parts to arrive at the service company, the. To have the wrong part arrive. Recent washing machine repair has been much better, although it was a warranty issue of the previously installed part, and we had to pay AHS normal service fee.

I would have put 5 stars but I’ve been without a washer and dryer for weeks. AHS says to call the company and make an appt for install. I call total applicance and they claim to not have any idea when AHS will send the parts over and will not make an appt with me until. Total Appliance has been their own nightmare. Calling and then cancelling appts bc they are closed that day or looked at the wrong customer’s info. Just a mess

I think it's ok. When we started we had a monthly rate and every year you have gone up considerably we are at a high monthly rate. I do not understand how you go up a lot monthly ever year. I have spoken very highly of American Home Shield to many people who talk it down, I have gotten people to change their minds and given the company a chance, now I feel like a fool. the last two years I have not talked this company up or suggested anyone to use it. if this is how you do business I thin its terrible. our monthly rate has gone up almost $75. additional dollars from where we started. so I'm thinking that's how you make your money. keeping fingers crossed going to watch what happens.

i’ve been a customer for over a decade. 1. i don’t care for the fact that you can’t request a preferred vendor based on past experiences; 2. not enough items are covered; 3. when replacing an appliance, AHS leans towards the least expensive instead of matching as many specs as possible; 4. customer service specialists don’t always understand. my last claim was denied and it took too much of my effort to get my deductible refunded.

It's a good warranty to have . You have to lay $100 for any service visit. I found my most recent interactio a little difficult because I could not reach a live person. They deal with a variety of service vendors so you're not always receiving service from the same vendor which I would prefer. Appointment scheduling is not bad.

Your system took my credit card information over the phone and has to accept before I can get service for a claim. I get an email today for service I had completed the week of Christmas stating I owe $100 and that it was due January 8th. That was two days late. Have no clue why I am getting this so late but have no clue why the prompt when calling in takes my credit card info and approves when I called in before christmas. Service was done December 26th. You need to get. A need to get a better system. When I called to get the $100 paid today, I was told they will unfreeze my account. So my account was frozen for a system you use that is faulty. In the short time I was with AHS my fee was raised twice. The last raise was substantially more then reasonable. $62.99 total. I was told it was because the contractors raised their fees. I had to change home warranty Companies because of the fee increase.

I like that I can get really prompt service when I use their website. Within a few minutes of putting in a request I get the name and phone number of the contractor that will do the job and told that the company will call me within 24 hours of a business day and if i haven't heard from them in 24 hours, I am to call them.

When my policy renewed, it was significantly higher than the prior year and I called to cancel. I was offered a retention incentive that reduced my overall annual expense to the same amount as the prior year. However, I just checked my account and none of the promised adjustments were made; the most recently payment is still the same, higher amount. I liked my service until this issue came up. I am now considering cancelling my policy. I hope I can get it resolved soon but it will take more time out of my day to connect with customer service, which is very annoying.
