Customer service is bad , can barely understand the customer service reps . They won't fix your problem till you say you want to cancel your service the. They finally transfer you to an employe in the US .

Would not take care of a problem that the contractor didn't finish correctly could not pass inspection American home shield would not honor me as a customer and go after the vendor after 20 years after 20 years of paying monthly dues I will never ever buy a policy from American home shield

The companies that they have contracted to complete work are unreliable. I have been dealing with the same AC issue since July and it's still not fixed. No one from the contractor OR AHS gets back to me when I call or email. It's incredibly frustrating.

It took almost a month of no heat in my house to determine I needed a new furnace. Then it was going to 2 weeks before they could replace my furnace. The process takes too long in emergency situations

Agents aren't that helpful. Contractors take all day to get to their appointments, causing me to lose a full day of work. Contractors sometimes will not call after assigned, and won't call back when I call.
