My refrigerator wasn't cooling. Called AHS they assigned a company to come out, the company was within the time they were suppose to be here. Fixed the problem maybe took half hour. My refrigerator has been cooling ever since. Very happy with the tech that was dispatched. Second time I've had to use AHS and have been very satisfied with the outcome of both. Relief to know that I don't have to put out a lot of money fix an appliance or purchase one. Wouldnt be without it.

Airconditioner quit working and AHS had Bestway come out. The guy was here checking the outside unit for not more than 5 minutes and said mold was in the "electrical contacts area" of the unit. There was no inside checking of settings or other work done. He did not leave a written summary of the problem or anything else. He seemed like has in a hurry to do somewhere else. Whatever he communicated to AHS caused AHS to reject the claim. I called AHS when nothing was happening after a few days and was informed of the rejection. I asked for a 2nd opinion and they sent out American. The technician took almost 45 minutes going over the unit, checking the inside settings and other things. He explained in English that are of the unit was not functioning as it should. After 2 days he returned and fixed the problem with AHS covering the fix for the malfunctioning unit. BOO for Bestway (Worstway), YEH for American, and YEH for AHS suggesting a second options.

I had good experience for both issues they both came out very quickly and were very knowledgeable on both issues fixed my problems the only problem I have with the company is you can never talk to anyone but if you put issue on line fast response.

My washer broke in Nov and it took about 6 weeks to have it repaired. The company who did the repair left a big mess in my laundry room. They threw some black stuff from the hose in my “clean” trash can and in my laundry tub. I had to soak the can and my laundry tub and then scrub with an abrasive soap to remove what I could. It stained the tub and trash can. Also, they left a lot of rancid water under my washer that apparently spilled all over my floor. They told me it would have to just evaporate over time. My laundry room still smells.

Blower on ac/heater went out, submitted workorder, repair company notified me within 5 hours, were fixing it the next day. Repairman very friendly and completed his work in a timely manner and haven't had any problems . recommend this company for any ac/heating problems.

I have not had to wait on hold like other critics because I filed my requests for service online. The companies chosen to fix my issue(s) have been less than stellar. I just had to purchase a new HVAC after three years of putting on bandaids through temporary fixes (often misdiagnosed), which cost me hundreds of dollars in refilling a unit twice with freon. AHS is known for finding the cheapest way out. I pay $625.92 per year and am wondering if it's worth it now for the next item to go out, such as a w/d or fridge. What I pay annually plus the deductible plus uncovered costs could be just as much.

We had occasion to use our warranty on an HVAC issue recently and it went well. Contact and initiation was good. Contractor was good and did the job to our satisfaction. Two things though: 1) I was just billed under threat of cancelation or lapse for the unpaid deductible. I never received a prior bill before the threat - neither paper mail or email - and didn't know we owed anything. That's bad form. 2) when I tried to call and inquire about it I had a 20 minute wait before a call center person who had no computer access answered. I asked to be transferred to another CSR but was told I had to start over and call back. That's stupid. I then called back and had a 30 minute hold before a CSR got on the line. The process was burdensome.

I have been a long time AHS customer and have been especially pleased with the technician we've had to have a couple of times. The company service team has responded quickly and with good customer friendliness. I am upset this year, though, because of what I feel was an unwarranted increase in our premium. I will reluctantly consider alternative options this renewal because I am on a fixed income and need to be cost-conscious.

The most recent experience I had was that my garbage disposal went out on me after Thanksgiving. I called in the order and before I knew it I had a service repair guy here and ended up actually having a new one replaced since it was burned out. Fast, brand new item and the repair guy was awesome!

I have been a customer for almost two decades. There are other warranty companies. I hear the complaints from other people about their chosen warranty provider and I know there is no perfect company. I still stick with AHS as I have weighed the good vs the not so good experiences and I feel good about my choice. Still better to have AHS on call than to not have them, just as it is best to have them over other warranty providers I hear of. My biggest knock on them would be trying to talk to a human when I want/need to. Isn't that a problem with every company in this day?

I think it's a great company but getting through to a human is ridiculous and the reason I don't use them anymore. I can't wait a min of 30 minutes to talk to someone. They're disorganized and growing faster than they can keep up. The service on any appliance I've had fixed has been wonderful and fast but the operations of the company needs to be revised.

Several companies that were used replace item of an inferior quality. Two examples are: my thermostat needed replacing and I was given a cheap replacement. My previous thermostat was digital with date & time. Another example was my garbage disposal was replaced with a cheaper model than what I had originally. Other service matters have been top notch with AHS.

I had a leaking Kitchen faucet in early June 2017 and AHS assigned Ken Tyler Plumbing who showed up 3 days later 3 hours late. he took the item apart and said he needed to get parts and would return the next day to finish the job.Ken Ty;er plumbing never showed up so I called them. never got any repose after 9 calls to him and weekly calls to AHS customer service. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I was lied to by AHS customer service and was probably on hold for at least 40 hours waiting foe service from them. Finally they assigned to Wilbanks Plumbing and the repairsa were completed in 32 hours the next day. I have had a warranty with AHS for over 10 years and this is the 1st issue i have ever had with them Usually they are spot on but there Customer Service and Vendor Sourcing need some serious improvements.If everything goes well you are OK with them but if you have a problem there Customer service ( when you can reach them without waiting hours ) is pathetic .They will lie to you and say whatever it takes to get you off the phone and then to nothing to correct the problem.Also to ahve a vendor like ken Tyler Plumbing is absurd to say the least of there judgement

It’s a very good warranty. Web/Mobile sites work very well when service is needed. Contractors offer prompt follow up and professi Neal service. I would give all this 4 Stars. However, contacting AHS is horrible. Only way to make contact is via phone and there are minimum 45 minute hold times! I stress minimum and at one point, it was 1 1/2 hours. There is no web contact. This needs serious improvement.

i bought a town home 8 weeks ago, today. the age of home is 20 yrs. since I moved in, i'm hearing 'drips,' inside the walls, in the master bathroom and in the guest bathroom, upstairs. and upstairs and downstairs when the dishwasher and the washing machine are on. it's not a steady drip and not all the time. i haven't seen any obvious signs of leaking water. the 2 tech's that came to my property (mid afternoon on Friday) were very friendly and nice. Dillon seemed/showed signs of concern for this appt. Nick was focused on primarily 1 thing; leaving for the day/weekend. they did a water pressure test and at the appointment closing and told me this was normal for the age of this home and nothing to be concerned about. i am almost embarrassed for tipping them ($20 apc), now, i just thought it was the right thing to do, which i will think twice about if and or when this happens in the future (with whomever).

My dryer went out and a rep contacted me within 24 hours to set the appointment. The company showed up on time and fixed the problem. Great service. Had I not had AHS I would have bought a new dryer considering mine is 19 years old. All I spent was the co-pay! The best money I ever spent. It’s a must have for everyone.

Had a problem with my furnace, called and they sent a repairman. Furnace was examined and needed additional parts. Repairman returned in 2 days as promised and made the repairs. I. couldn’t be more pleased. The serviceman was pleasant, dedicated and did what was required. What more can you ask?

Since my dryer was broken down twice within 60 days, I only had to pay the $100 service fee once. AHS customer service is very polite and willing to find out the answers to my questions and the service contractor was extremely nice, accurate and professional.

AHS got someone out here very quickly; the company just didn't fix the problem not the first time (9-15-2017 while still under warranty) , nor the second time, by the fourth time, the air conditioning was cooling & working. A-Z put a pound of refrigerant in the unit on 9-22-2017 & checked for leaks. But by 11-10-2017 (not even 2 months), the unit had Zero refrigerant and was a fire hazard! And our warranty had expired. We had to get a New air conditioner on 11-13-2017 with AMC Cool Air Contractors Inc. (with a 10 yr warranty). Therefore, we only gave AHS a 3 star because of the SUB-STANDARD A-Z air conditioning /plumbing company.

I have mixed feelings about AHS. I believe this company can improve on customer service as well as making sure the customer is better taken care of by the contractor. I have two negative experiences with contractors. I don't think AHS tracks when a contractor is sent out and when the contractor gives the diagnosis to ahs or the consumer. The repair takes longer than necessary due to this lack of communication and supervision, therefore the consumer suffers. I feel the serice fee should not be taken until the contractor submits the diagnosis. Also I feel that ahs should give the consumer a new contractor ig the diagnosis isn't received within 24hrs. Customer service should never get into an argument with a consumer especially if the consumer isn't being disrespectfull or vulgar. If a consumer asks for another representative or manager then they should be able to elevate their request. I also think ahs flags accounts so that that service requests are disapproved. Lately I haven't been satisfied with ahs.

I have been with AHS for the past 22 years. The policy have changed throughout these years. I had had good repairs that were solved the same day. However, I had had plumbing and refrigerator repairs that needed more than 3 consecutive visits to conclude the repair! If your appliance is from Sears Co. you have to pay the current deductible of $75 plus the fee from the Sears Technician, not included in your AHS insurance policy!! If your Sears appliances were insured by Sears, you did not have to pay for the visit or deductible. Everything would be included in your policy! About 10 years ago, my air conditioner unit broke down during the summer month in Mississippi (MS), where the temperatures average 100-103F with heat index. My husband was alone in our house and had to wait for more than a week without a/c because AHS needed 3 bids from air conditioning companies, before conducting the repair/replaced of the broken unit. It was an emergency due to the higher environmental temperatures at MS, but AHS did not offer any hotel accomodations while the broken unit were inspected by these 3 heating/air conditioning companies to get the best bid fir the job. Lastly, one representative of one of the companies that conducted the inspection on my heat and a/c unit, stepped on two places on the indoor roof, while walking on my attic. The representative of the sub contractor company made two dents on the indoor roof of my house! When I mentioned to AHS the incident, they refused to repair the damage because they were not responsible by the biding companies they sub contracted to do the inspection!! I was very disappointed with the AHS attitude towards this incident!!

If you need basic service its great, easy to book online, immediate call to book appt, techs show up, call when late. If you have a problem - good luck. Some service people are totally inept, some are good. If you have an issues you cant get through, over an hour on hold every time to speak with a person. If you want to reach a different department no contact info published on their website, no address to write to. Washer broke, tech left a wet mess and walked out, had no clue, said it was beyond repair. There is no way to follow up about getting a replacement. Its been over a month, so I just went ahead and bought a new washer. They are under staffed and have no follow through on difficult issues. Buyer beware.

This is the first time I’ve had a home warranty. I chose AHS from a friend’s recommendation. I like the online services, but the phone and chat services need a lot of improvement. Phone calls on average take over 90 minutes to just speak to anyone. The chat maybe a little faster, but disconnects when waiting and is unreliable. It was a hastle overturning initial decisions based on bad data and unfair practices from lazy and careless repair services. My items were repaired, but only after a huge and time consuming process with arguments, justifications, and straightening of facts. Makes me feel less confident about the protection I paid for. If I wasn’t insistent and tenacious about the requested repairs, I wouldn’t have had my requests fulfilled. I just don’t think normal people should have to fight so hard to have a garbage disposal and toilet fixed, especially when it’s a first request. Also, the phone service and automated systems are completely none synchronized. I received a denial letter when it was reversed and I received an overdue notice even though I updated my payment info and verified it was paid via phone call which I had to wait another 90 minutes just to verify and make payment. Very frustrating for customers and our time. Hope you can take this feedback and improve.

I sent an email giving my problem. AHS was in touch with me very fast! Then I received an email from the plumbing co. They had set up an appointment. They came out on that date, inspected my problem and installed a new garbage disposal unit. Always receive great service anytime something happens!!!!

The wait time to talk to a rep is ridiculous so if you're busy, don't try calling them. We have been hung up on and transferred to other when reps aren't in the mood to deal with problem solving. They schedule service promptly, but it took several days once they approved the repair to actually have it done. We had to get a second opinion from an additional vendor through them, and were never made aware they would try to bill us our deductible again for this. The first company was obviously retarded since repairs were approved with the second. We had our water heater replaced and there were items that weren't covered, I just paid the difference because I was tired of dealing with the other water heater but it would have been much better to see a copy of the estimate when I am paying a portion of the bill because I highly assume that we got raked for B.S. charges but I guess that's probably my fault for not demanding it. We will probably continue with AHS as our yearly rate is lower than other companies I've got estimates from in the past.

Best home warranty company I have had. My last home warranty would not fix any repairs I needed because they claimed it was pre-existing even though my home inspector indicated otherwise. AHS will fix the problem so the appliance will work. I am very happy with their service.

Water heater flooded the garage on a Sunday. After waiting on-hold over an hour, they assigned a service provider whose first available was the following weekend. Called AHS back (another hour on hold), but was happy they assigned another provider who came out the following morning and was able to inspect the issue and get approval to replace the unit immediately. In the end they ultimately exceeded my expectations.
