After numerous repeat phone calls to AHS, about the shabby repair work done on my HVAC unit, it seems AHS has an internal/database communication issue. I had to explain, in full details, the reason for my follow up phone calls, to each representative, during each phone call. I actually told the last representative, after she offered the EXACT same solution to my week-long problem, that she needed to contact another contractor, because I did not want the Guaranteed Services company INCORRECTLY trying to repair ANYTHING else, in or around my home.

I got tired of service "professionals" disconnecting my heat and telling me I needed a new unit. Why trust someone who will profit from your "need"? AHS will tell me the truth.

AHS is usually pretty good to deal with. This time was generally very smooth, except they first sent my water heater repair request to a company that doesn't work on GAS hot water heaters, even though I specified gas. Once this was corrected (it took 36 hours), things went very quickly and my water heater was replaced that very day. AHS does seem to have generally improved some over the 20 years that I have dealt with them.

Owning an older home necessitates having a Home warranty if at all possible; we have used AHS for many (10+) years and each year it has paid for itself...wish it was cheaper, wish these companies would replace old units instead of fixing and fixing and fixing...but all in all this company has given us a high degree of satisfaction and kept us from burning up soen here in Texas when A/C goes on the fritz. My wife is disabled and cannot tolerate the heat without A/C

In regards to a service call for my Central Gas Heat. As stipulated in my AHS contract, I have bi-annual service calls on my heating an air. The most recent identified significant cracks and rust which when they completely crack or burst, carbon monoxide will be emitted. I submitted the service request to have the parts replaced explaining these were issues already identified but the system is still functioning. The service man came the next day, checked and confirmed the conditions, took copies and pictures that had been provided by the first company and said it would be submitted with response within 2 business days. On the 3rd day, I called for a status and was told as long as the unit was functioning, they would not perform any service..... why didn't they disclose that at the initial request? They still charged my credit card $100 knowing there would be no service before the technician even came.

Provided the service I expected. Pleased with everything with this company except their monthly rate increase and service call fee increases. 50% increase is way to high. I am shopping around for another home warranty. $1800 a year is too much.

Great response to calls or online requests. Have found out that the repair/replace process, sometimes leaves you with outdated/old parts. Had water IN BASEMENT, for months every time it rained, due to sump pump installed crooked, and not working properly. Plumbers would look at pump and say nothing wrong. Had to hire my own plumber to correct the problem. My old pump that was installed in 2015 was dated 2005. IT WAS ALREADY 10 YEARS OLD. Plumber took photos.

Everytime one of my appliance devices breaks down and I can't correct the issue AHS has been there to help. They are prompt and the contractors are on-time, mostly early. I like just having to pay a deductible unless the device is trash.

They discovered where the problem was, and told me that I needed to contact my electric service provider to replace a worn part in the underground service box. Best company every. My refrigerator wasn't cooling they sent Greenway out and they said it was a fan. They order the fan when the fan came in Greenway came back out to install the fan. It still wasn't cooling I call,Greenway came back discovered I had another fan that was no working. It was discovered I have 3 fans and 2 was not working.

I have been a customer since 2011 and have received service on my air conditioner, plumbing, garage door, refrigerator, stove top and fire alarms. All of my experience with the service providers has been excellent with the exception of the stove top. The stove top service was just ok as they had to come out several times for the same issue. The only thing I would suggest improving is the customers ability to choose a provider.

My last service call should get an 11. 5 hour window for the technician and he arrived 10 minutes into that. Problem solved in another 20. It just doesn't get any better!

We purchased coverage when we bought an older home. In less than a year, the downstairs heat and air units went out. AHS was responsive in seeing repairmen for the few times necessary until the units finally died. We were patient and have ended up with new inside units.

I called about a vibrating/humming sound coming from my interior wall. I assumed it was something to do with my HVAC. I called AHS and I was able to set up a next day appt with a local company. The company was very thorough and efficient. Unfortunately, the humming noise is still continuing, so I don’t know what else to do. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I received the service schedule and appointment right away. The technician came the following day to fix the problem. the problem was fixed very efficiently.

The majority of service has Ben positive until the last request. Needed someone who could move a thermostat. Service associate that was sent was not able to help us. My understanding is that we would not be charged since service was not completed. Was charged. Called American Hime Shield to set up another visit. Did not get call back. We are left without issue being resolved.

I am have been the loyal customer for American Home Shield since 2000. I am very happy AHS's service, The only bad experienced was in summer of 2016, American Home Shield has sent a very poor service company 6 times within 4 months trying to fixed my air conditioning. Finally due to my insistence for another service provider, they finally sent another company which properly diagnosed the problem and fixed my air conditioning in 2 visits. Still AHS was there to get the right provider who competently fixed my air conditioning problem.

We put in a request for our washer and dryer. The dryer is now working fine; however, the repair service person who came out for the washer had to return twice (we're fine with that) and said he had to order a part. That was three weeks ago. We're still waiting to hear from him when he will come back. We also had very slow service on a toilet issue we had in the past. It took the service person five days to come out and replace a small part. Why do these service calls take so long to happen? We worry that if our heating system or the air conditioner goes down, we will end up having to wait a long time for service. Can't these orders for repairs happen in a more timely manner???

We have had home shield for over a year now. Though some of the contractors they use are not the best, We have had more good experiences with them than bad. The worst was Gilbert Air in Az. They messed up our A/C install. We had very little A/C for the entire month of August. Comfort Conditioning cam in and corrected the issue..they were great! Home Shield stuck with us the entire time. I was in contact with the at LEAST 2 times a week. They showed empathy,and worked hard to fix our problem. I have had to use home shield a few times since then,we have always had a great customer experience.

As with all insurance policies, you hope you'll never need to use it. We did need to use our AHS policy and have really mixed feelings about it. The initial home visit was quickly scheduled, but of course, that was just the first visit to diagnose the problem. At the subsequent visit the following week, a determination was made that the micro/convection oven was irreparable. That's when the delays began. It was impossible to reach anyone by phone without a 2-3 hour wait. I had to wait twice before I could get even an idea of when the new unit would be delivered. In all, it was more than a month before I finally got a new microwave.

I have had very positive experiences with the services that I've received. Technicians arrived on time. They've been friendly and professional. The job has been completed in a very reasonable amount of time and whatever has been broken has been up and running without any further problems. The customer service is excellent. My only complaint is that there is a very long waiting time, (sometimes over an hour), before the representative answers my call.

I've been with AHS for 8 years now. When it comes to simple repairs they deserve a 5 star rating. Pay your $75 deductible and be done with it. It wasn't until one of my items needed replacing that the song and dance routine started. Horrible hold times to speak with someone, to be told that at first my item was not being replaced because of chemical damage then when I got a second opinion they said the gas line value wasn't big enough but no chemical damage. From what I found out through my investigation they give these repair companies guidelines and dollar amounts they can go up to. I guess it was a little much to expect them to cover a $2,900 pool heater that I am having to come out of pocket for. Yes, I stayed with them. I wished they would have been as loyal to me as I have been to them.

During a recent cold snap here in Texas, my furnace broke. I opened a ticket with AHS and was able to get service within 4 days. The interaction with AHS' website and follow up was painless and easy. I didn't have any issue at all with their payment or anything. The multiple day wait time was contractor specific, calendar or lower priority for warranty clients, so that was frustrating, but I'm still very happy with AHS.

The warranty program is great. I would rate the hold times to speak to a representative as a negative 10. As much money as ya'll receive, you would think that they would have enough customer service people to respond to your customers. I've been on hold from 30 min to over an hour. I just don't have that kind of time to be placed on hold. Not putting your customers first will always be a fail. I almost rated them a 5 out of 10, mainly because of this one issue, but I wanted to be fair to AHS. Thanks

Responsive 80% of time. Good service people, timely, and knowledgeable. I have had a contract w them for 4 years. The only difficulty we experienced was with a plumbing company that was dragging its feet to fix a tankless hot water heater. I complained and American Home Shield spoke to vendor, we got it fixed. It took almost 6 weeks.

Until the latest experience involving our hot water heater, we had been very satisfied. The water heater experience was a total disaster on your part. We called in for an initial evaluation and found out several days later that it would be several days more yet, all of that time without hot water! We called another company and they came out that day and replaced it. AHS did send us a check for the heater, but the damage to us in lack of caring or immediate service cast a very dark shadow on our renewal of contract. As President Donald says. we will wait and see.
