Filed a claim 2/18 sparks are coming from plumbing and water lines and yet we are still waiting on a contractor and every time we call to try to get help the rep says before ending the call. Be safe! Yes we have sparks/fire melting/burning of water lines and there’s no rush to get someone out here but be safe! Customer service is a joke depending on who you talk to they will either help you or they won’t bc their following guidelines when you know they can help bc other reps have.

They are almost impossible to contact and when you do get through to them it is almo0st impossible to understand the person, especially for older people. I am still waiting on the payment on the stove that couldn't be fixed in November of 2020.

When a disaster strikes suddenly things are not covered. If plumbing is covered under your contract, it should not matter if it’s frozen busted pipes. Pipes is pipes and should be covered no matter the circumstance.

I have had poor experience with one of their subcontractors and have requested a new subcontractor, but they refuse to let me change to a different provider. Even after this provider said that work was completed when they never set foot in our house and when I had to call them back a second time, they did the job incorrectly.

I recently was charged sales tax on a $75 service call that was in violation of my contract and illegal since in Texas services are not subject to sales tax. This has never happened before or since. When I contacted your customer service rep he said there was nothing he could do to reverse the tax charge. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told I would be contacted. That never happened. I have disputed the tax add on charge with my credit card company.

I wouldn't give them one star but I had to select one my washer has been broken for over a month I was told it would take another 2 months to get the part. American home shield didn't even have the decency to tell me it would take that long the complaint that is fixing it did. American home shield just basically blew me off then when I called them they said we are sorry we will try to expedite your order we will call you back with more info in 48 hours. Here we are a week later still no call horrible company

Terrible customer service. They sent a person who took five minutes to diagnose the problem but then would not fix it or return our calls after receiving authorization.. AHS kept assuring us that the issue would be solved but it was not. We asked to speak to a supervisor but they never contacted us as promised. We had a leak. Ultimately we fixed it ourselves to stop the damage. We had been customers for 20 years but never have been dealt with like this.

I wanted my dryer cleaned so I called and spoke to one of the clerks. I explained to her what I needed, she said no problem the service tech would only clean up to the wall. I was responsible for the rest. I said ok. when the service tech showed up he said that was not accurate so I had to pay an additional $100. But when he left I didn't see the $100 dollars on the receipt. I just feel like I was scammed and I have used my warranty several times in the past. I wasn't going to say anything but if it happened to me maybe it happened to someone else.

Once I make time to cancel their service I will. If an Executive reads this review and wants some feedback and cares they could call me. Any time a request for help requires thought the person on the line can't answer. There is no common sense or empowerment associated with their service. If an event doesn't fall in their statistical guidelines you are out of luck. Not to mention, I don't think they have any oversight over the vendors they use as local providers.
