Unpleasant experience from installation to current. Installation was horrendous as the technician installed the control panel to my living room light switch causing us leave our lights on for weeks or else the control panel loses power. It took about 2 weeks for Vivint to finally send someone out to fix the mistake.

I dislike too much to write here. Nothing works as I expected that it would when the salesman discussed it with me. Installation began too late in evening and wasn’t done until almost 1am. Salesperson said he would come back and demonstrate features since installation started late but I could never reach him. Installers seemed to have major problems with getting certain area to work correctly and I am not sure it functions as it should.

It has been a bumpy experience so far. Since I received the Vivint equipment I’ve already had someone steal off my porch while the porch camera did not show night vision. The late response on videos, I also tried calling in to inform a representative about my recent thief encounter but was not helpful

Looks great seems like its going to work then it doesn't. Customer service is a huge waste of time. My Camaras do not record when it does it breaks up the footage all the time. When I try to rewind it doesnt. My neighbors all got rid of theirs and we kept ours because they came and hard wired them. They still don't work.

Literally the worst security system I've ever had and the customer service lies and isn't helpful whatsoever. We were told we were getting credit on our account and never did. The app rarely works, rarely has color on the "hd" picture, constantly just loads and won't record video its supposed to yet my garage that usually never has movement is the camera that records millions of videos of specks of dust floating in the air... I wish I could get rid of it and I would definitely never recommend it to anyone else!

I do not like the sales team you put in the field. I specifically said I did not wont to be stuck with this. So he did say I could cancel any time, but what he did not say is that I would only have 2 days to cancel with no Fees. I tried canceling and was shocked when I was told that I would basically have to pay $3,000 to cancel. Which is just ridiculous and miss leading. I have considered getting a lawyer and going to small claims court over this issue.

Not 3, doorbell malfunction. We live in a home that only gets DSL, we signed up with Via-Sat but their service has been horrible. We were told at the time of installation we needed 5G, which I wasn't aware of or would have never signed up. Our doorbell camera doesn't work and the ringer is now not working. We have had several false alarms, the detectors are falling off the doors. Its a cheaply made setup.

I decided not to keep it a week after they installed it. They were terrible at takin it out, it took at least a month and a half. I texted them, called them, I would talk to one person & they had know idea what I was talking about, then I called again to see if they received my text. I ever got the same person, it was like brining on a merry-go-round.

The overall security has been great. The issue i have is when we joined we were told we would get 20% off of monthly bill for miltary veterans and I never happened. Dishonest. I was signed up for a 5 year contract without being told. I was told I had a free month to try out the service but was only given 3 days. After 3 days, I owe for 5 years of contract that I didn’t know I was even signing up for. The rep who signed me up lied and left out crucial information and even made up information that affected my decision to sign. Total bad business all around and I’m hoping for them to take it all back and cancel. Absolutely disgusting business practice.

I don’t like the price and I don’t like the false alarms with the motion detector. I highly doubt that our 5 lb cat is setting off. The Xfinity sensor never gave us false alarms. I don’t like the price/loan for the equipment. If I was quicker with my decision during the trial period, I would have gotten my money back and discontinued service, now I’m locked in for 2 years...yay

The cameras either lose connection or become disabled. Have to restart the entire panel in most cases to get them working again. The door lock does not always completely lock causing a failure to lock.

the install was supposed to be free with a free camera and equipment because I already had better equipment than vivint provides. I canceled my services after a month or two of trying to get their $300 gift card. It's been several months and I still havent received the card. Even though Ive canceled my services they still send me a bill every month. They send 18yr old recruits out to promise great things and then don't deliver on their promises. The equipment and monitoring seems 3, but the most important thing, customer service and doing what they say they'll do, sucks.
