The customer service is pretty good though I have had some issues with billing but other than that it has been pretty good so far. The equipment is all new and it can be used on the phone, I really like the app.

Thanks to the live video feed provided by Vivint's camera system, I was able to see the intruder attempting to break through the door. With adrenaline coursing through my veins, I activated the two-way talk feature on the app and sternly warned the intruder that the authorities had been notified and were on their way. To my surprise, the would-be burglar hesitated for a moment before fleeing the scene.

First of all, I want to tell you about two of your employees. Connor and Kyle are 2 of the nicest people we have had the pleasure of doing business with. Both know what they are doing and were so patient with us and all the questions we had. Kyle installed our system and he knew exactly what he was doing. He was a whiz. Very energetic and knew his business. No mess left and everything was installed with the foresight that the wires were almost undectable. Conner knew his business and explained everything perfectly. By the time they left, we felt like family.

The system is easy to use even for a tech challenged person. While we have been we were notified of packages delivered and called a neighbor to retrieve them. It is also great that if we are on the back deck and someone comes to the door we won’t miss them. Service...the company stays in touch and even notified me to change the batteries in my front door. I certainly made the best choice for a security system.

Vivint offers an affordable option for securing my home and property and making me feel safe and in the know. Initially, set up was challenging. I scheduled an appointment to coincide with my move-in date and the appointment I had was canceled by Vivint (via text message) less than 24 hours before they were scheduled to come. This was a major inconvenience because I had taken off work to be present for the installation and would need to take off an additional day to be present when they actually did show up. Rescheduling was more frustrating because I was told I would need to wait an additional 2 weeks to have my system installed- and that was unacceptable. A supervisor found an earlier appointment and I finally had my products installed. The installer was very nice and prepared for the installation. The downside is that he was an independent contractor and was very adamant that I download an app where I could refer other customers to him specifically. He framed the download as the way to get in touch with him should I have any equipment needs. When my door keypad system begin to malfunction 2 weeks later, I reached out to him and asked about troubleshooting and never got a response. I called Vivint customer service, who wanted me to take pictures and send to them as proof that I was having issues (which was annoying). I complied only for them to agree that I needed a technician, who again could not come for 2 weeks. When the 2nd technician came, he was not a good representation for the company. He rushed through "fixing" the issue, left a mess on the floor and proceeded to leave without checking to ensure it was corrected. I had to call him within 2 minutes of him leaving to ask that he return because the issue was not resolved. He voiced his displeasure with having to return, but he did and corrected the issue. Since then, I have had infrequent issues but have had to refresh my system several times. My cameras will lose connection and just show an image from weeks ago... but I have been able to reboot the panel and it corrects the issue. Overall, I would recommend it to someone that has a little bit of patience and a little bit of technical skill as well.

They give me a little more peace knowing my family is safer especially when I am not at home and I like that they have their own app that is very user friendly. The cameras work good and they are above average compared to many on the market. They will detect about anything and does a great job defecting if it is a person or not. I would have to say the doorbell camera is one of the best thing’s especially if you get a lot of packages delivered. So far some of their products/equipment isn’t the best. I have been having problems with the motion and glass break sensors. Our cat sets off the motion sensor every time we set the alarm for away no matter what you set/adjust the sensor to. They told me that wouldn’t happen. The glass break sensor detects dishes being put away and any other noise that clinks no matter what it is set to plus the battery goes dead pretty quick. You do have to have a contact and pay for the equipment that is approximately $3,000. You pay a certain amount along with your monthly service costs until it is paid off. All and all you are going to have your downsides and your upsides with any home security system.

OK i made the change from ADT which was not even comming close to my expectations. This security sytem is great and easy to install no drills are needed. Almost to simple. But to get it talkling to your Wifi that so scary, but I made the call anyway the young lady from Vivint who I got was just short of amazing in assisting me and getting my new security system linked through my WiFi. It was the most professional and competent service I have ever experienced.

I had a Vivint system installed (security and home automation) about two months ago. We have loved all aspects of it. My wife and I can go out on a date and check in on the kids by accessing the cameras via the app. We also like that we can arm the system remotely from our car. Once, we did accidentally forget to disarm the system in the morning as my kids were heading out to school and the alarm went off. We quickly disarmed it, but the cool thing was, I received a call within a minute from Vivint asking me if everything was OK. Awesome service.

No issues with Vivint it's simple and customer service always attends our needs despite the negative comments below which is people most likely not reading the terms and conditions of what they are getting into , or jut basically complaining for no reason.

At first I was frustrated due to schedule mix up but they finally worked it out and I am so pleased with the service and both technicians I had were super friendly and very maneuverable.I especially love the doorbell camera.This is what I really needed due to an almost home invasion I experienced a couple weeks ago.Now I can sleep a little better at night and feel safe in my home ,thanks to VIVINT Home Security and oh yes,the cameras!

I've used Vivint for 6 years and have not had a single issue with any of their equipment. I find all the complaints astonishing. I think much has to do with the concept of paying for equipment when it comes to cancellation. Their system is very simple to operate and set up so a tech really isn't generally required. I've had 100 percent success with their phone support / customer service. The monthly cost for most is largely related to buying their equipment on the payment plan (that is why termination is so high). And no, I'm not a company shill.

I had a son who, for some reason, could not ever remember to lock the door when he'd leave. So when I'm away, if people leave packages on the door or something, I like the doorbell camera feature because at least I have an idea who it is and I can talk to them and tell them to leave the package there or leave it at my neighbors across the street or something like that. That has been the coolest and most helpful feature. I would definitely recommend Vivint to my friends.

We LOVE this company!!! They are constantly "there" in our system. We have had it for about 4 years. We don't have the outside surveillance because we do not have "smart phones" to hook up to that. We had someone once open a sliding door we had neglected to lock and we were both gone - and BINGO - the police were here in a flash & the person shut the door and ran. We were amazed. We are ages 73 and 87 and it gives us so much more of a sense of security. (Before this, we were burglarized 2x in our home and 2x in our cars.)

As with any company there are goods and there are bads. But I chose and Love Vivint b/c of what I would be looking for in a Home Automation/Security system: - Easy to use, fastest response I have ever experienced with any other security out there, most up to date technology ...and the use from the App on my phone is incredible. - I was double charged ONE time in all my time using Vivint. Called their customer service - I didn't yell - I just explained what happened and the what do you know? The rep was awesome. Within a few weeks I had a check for the full amount delivered right to my house. - As with any technology - sometimes there is an issue (like when I had to replace my brand new Samsung Galaxy S5 3 days after buying it)....so when 1 door lock was giving me issues - I called in and I had a tech here a day or 2 later and everything was fixed. nothing is perfect, but this company offers high quality and in my opinion the best.

I love our Vivint system. My husband and I are away at work most of the day, so it is nice to know that Vivint has us covered when we are away. It also relieves the stress of having to check the house when I come home at night because I know our home is monitored and we are protected. Saves us money on our home owners insurance and utilities. The equipment and technology is so much better than our last company. Totally worth it!

I have had Vivint for just over 3 years now and have had no problems with their services or feeling duped by their sales men. We did the typical guy came knocking and we signed up. Yes, he was a smooth talker and wanted everything done quickly so he could be onto the next house and it was getting late in the day. Everything that he promised, happened. I do kick myself for not reading the fine print and listening a little more carefully when he snuck in that it would be an 8 year contract; that is a crazy amount of time. I set off the alarm once, by accident, and the people on the other end were nice and professional. When I've called they have been professional and I haven't had any complaints. Even had another representative from Vivint come by about two months ago, very professional, didn't try to sell me anything new, and was wondering how we liked it. (No personal information given) I pay what I'm supposed to and my prices have not gone up. The only reason I won't give them a 10 is because of the "Alarms" that keep going off when a "Tornado" is "near". That night drove me nuts; talk about annoying and there is no way to turn that off, safety issue I guess. So that and I really do hate the 8 year contract keep me from giving them a 10!

We got broken into. Our whole neighborhood got five houses broken into. One of my friends has VIvint so we called ya'll. Of course ya'll came out and controlled the neighborhood and got a lot of customers that way and that's how we got to work with ya'll. They were very professional and courteous and any questions you had they were knowledgeable enough to give you the answers and to help you with everything.

We just recently got the entire home security system set-up and we couldn't be happier! It's so easy to use and the app makes everything so easy to control. All the equipment is so nice and really gives us peace of mind. The technician was wonderful and had everything up and running in about an hour and took the time to teach us how to use everything. We were having some problems with the video camera so we had to call customer service and they were fantastic. They were so nice and so helpful. We did it a lot of research and compared a lot of companies, we definitely made the right choice with Vivint.

We've had the system for 2 1/2 yrs now, one glitch fixed over the phone in 30 mins with great service. We weren't set-up for automatic updates on the panel, a download fixed it. All of our sensors work perfectly, love the sky panel low battery notification. We haven't had any billing problems either. Paid upfront for equipment. When we leave for a few days I call them, they note the account. Honestly it's been great.

I have had my Vivint home automation system for almost a year and I love it! The convenience is awesome. I love being connected to my home even when I am out of town or away. It is so easy to be able to control my lights or thermostats from my phone. The energy savings I have received from the programmable thermostat is amazing. I also love that I can check the cameras at anytime so I know what is going on when I am away. I set the alarm and sleep soundly every night because I know I am protected. A great system and I highly recommend it every chance I get!

I was a Vivint customer for two years before I sold my house. It's true that I learned of them through a sales rep that knocked on my door. I am glad I took the time to listen to him. The company was nothing less than steller in their customer service in regards to my contract. I never had issues with my alarm. It was very easy to use and the mobile app was awesome. I have nothing but good things to say about this company.

I've had Vivint 10 months. Installation was smooth .Equiptment works great and customer service has been excellent One time I entered the wrong code twice because I didn't have my glasses on they notified the police and called me on the two way system verified that I was the homeowner by predetermined security questions and then they cancelled the alarm(very efficient and quick) I recommended Vivint to my son who had it installed who also highly recommend it to others. I have had this system for 3 years. I love it. I have nearly every feature that was available at the time for $68 a month. I keep thinking I am getting ripped off however every time I look at other vendors I see them advertising a minimal system for less and then I realize I do not have a minimal system. Every time something happens in the neighborhood I am so glad I have the system I have. I have not had any problems that they did not come out and fix. I am giving them a 10. You get what you pay for people. If you want all the bells and whistles it costs more.

I've had Vivint for almost 5 years. Their customer service has been great when I've needed answers or needed help. I've had to use the warranty on our first display unit and they came out and fixed it in minutes. Prices seem fairly reasonable considering I've got a full monitoring system of 2 cameras and several glass break sensors as well as sensors on all doors that lead outside.

We've been with Vivint for a year now and are very satisfied with their products and their service. Our salesman rep was very helpful, set things up, and explained how everything worked and was available after the installation. Anytime we've had a problem, such as the door wouldn.'t lock when the weather turned colder, a rep came and fixed the problem. As well, when we didn't know how to do something, calling their long distance number put us in contact with someone who was very patient, and stepped us through the process to fix the problem. Yes, it's a tad expensive per month, but someone breaking into the house is far more costly

I've been with Vivint just one week now. My sales person was forthcoming with information and options available. He was able to answer all my questions accurately. Within the first two days I had a false alarm caused by high winds on my roll-up garage door. Vivint response was fast and professional. AND a service person came out same day to re-install the door sensor. The control panel and APP in combination are fantastic and are operating without flaw. For the service I'm getting, the warranty on the equipment, I feel that the price point I chose is fair. I'm highly satisfied.

I had mine installed yesterday and accidentally set off alarm. They were so incredibly helpful and patient then assisted me with calling support. The person on the support line took as long as I needed and walked me through each and every screen and would not hang up until I was sure I understood everything. If first impressions area ny indication, I'll be very happy with Vivint.

The Las Vegas sales person was up front with me about the contract terms and cancellation process, if it should happen. The installers were friendly and went above and beyond in order to figure out the appropriate wiring for the thermostat, which was unique in a new house, compared to other installs. The team genuinely wanted to meet my needs, and nor did I feel the sales person tried to push items on me that I did not need.

We have had a lot of burglary in the area. We thought we moved into a safer neighborhood and apparently it wasn't as safe as we wanted it to be. So I decided to get a Vivint alarm system. Their sales and installation team have been pretty good, very helpful and professional. I do wish their service was a little bit less expensive per month. That's the only thing, other than that I have been happy with them.

I'm an independent business owner with ACN and Vivint is one of the companies we work with for specific products so that's how I heard of Vivint. I wanted to become on of their customers just to have the product, if I was going to be talking to other people about the product I wanted to feel comfortable that I knew all about it. I worked with Sal Gold to get set up and she's been very very helpful so no problems there at all. The install went well. We set up the appointment and the guy came at the designated time, spent maybe one hour and a half or whatever installing the system, and went through everything with me, so that went very well. Probably the only thing I would suggest is that I would love to see expanded hours where, if someone is interested in finding out more information about Vivint, there are more flexible hours that she can either talk to the people earlier in the day or later on in the evening, whatever fit a potential customers schedule.

I have some mixed emotions with them. When they first installed their equipment, they didn't remove my old security system. Instead they just put their equipment inside the existing security system. They explained to me why they used the existing equipment that was there because it would save me money, but I said in the long run that it would cause me problems. Recently, about 3 months ago, I had a lot of trouble with the equipment they had put up in the bathroom and also the smoke detector. The alarm went off incorrectly while I was at church and the Sheriff was at my house when I got home. This was because of some mistake Vivint made when installing the system. However, they replaced the equipment and fixed the problem so I don't have any trouble now.

I have an AIRBNB home and this system is great for what is needed to be sure there are no large parties and that the air conditioning or heating is not left on with the doors wide open. This system allows us to control the heating and cooling remotely and also gives custom door entry codes to guests that expire when they leave. I have no idea why this company has any bad reviews. I have had nothing but great things to say about vivint and our representative Lee here in Las Vegas.

I have a panel, two cameras and then I also have two door sensors as well. I am very pleased with my system. The only thing is I just think they should give their employees or techs a little more time to install their systems in these people's homes. I know they work by a point system and I also know that they give their installation team a certain allowed time. But a lot of the time these people don't understand how long it actually does take to install a system. So I think they need to actually get those people out in the field and let them see what it actually does take to get these systems installed. I think this would help things work a lot better for them and for their techs. But overall I believe Vivint is a very good company.

We have been Vivint Customer's now for quite a few years. They bought out our old alarm company that we had 1st signed up with. I had wanted the alarm system mainly for the medical alert function as my husband is a type 1 diabetic & I feel better knowing that if something happens he can just trigger the panel for help if he needs it. (haven't had to use it, but nice to know it's there). We are no longer under contract, we are just going month to month which I have verified through customer service multiple times. Every person I have come in contact with has been friendly & professional. Response time is very quick when an alarm is triggered (under 1 minute) & if they cannot get you on the phone or on the two-way panel, they will dispatch the police which has been sent out more than once due to one of our cats setting off the motion sensor in the house daily. We had a tech come out as they have said it should be fine with cats & thought it was faulty due to age, however after installing a new sensor & moving to to a new location, our new cat set it off again. We have since stopped using the motion sensor to avoid the false alarms. I will say, for years the motion sensor worked just fine with our other 2 cats in the house so I think it is just the fact that our 3rd cat is just way to active & likes to climb & jump off the top of the kitchen cabinets & hutch. Not really Vivint's fault. I like the fact that I do not need to have a land line for their service. There was some miscommunication when we switched to the full cell line only service as we needed a new panel & had to pay for that which we were not informed of. After talking to customer service, the issue was resolved to our satisfaction though. All in all, I am very happy with the service & when ADT came to the door trying to get us to switch, the sales guys with them even had to admit that the system we had installed was above what was normally given & the monthly pricing was lower than what was normally charged & better than what they could do for us. They were actually surprised.

We've had VIVINT since 2013 : love how the monitoring talks into my home over the panels rather than calling my landline. My husband is a power linemen and all the road a lot so it's nice to know that in the event that I'm home and something happens someone could help me through any situation. My camera goes in and out sometimes but our sales person told us that it reports via our WiFi and our WiFi is always slower in the evening when everyone is using it. A bunch of our neighbors and family signed up with VIVINT and everyone is super happpy . So long adt

Great company. It was a Friday when my house got broken into, I was in the hospital at the time. Vivint's product caught the guy trying to get into my house while I wasn't there. Alarm wen5 off and scared him and the doorbell camera helped the police catch him. If my family had been home, instead of with me at the hospital, and if we'd still had our terrible ADT system, my family would have been at the mercy of that crackhead. God bless Vivint, and the salesman who sold us our system. He saved us money on a better system then most of our neighbors have, and it payed off.

I have installed a system in my home and one in my fathers home. I have had the systems for 2 years now. I grade Installation A, they put things were they belonged. Service I give an A, they are extremely quick to respond to alarm breaks (cellphone notification, Smartphone App instant notification, home call and Email). Equipment I give an A, it is user friendly for sure and high quality. Troubleshooting I give an A, they are helpful when they get the call. Contract Agreement I give a C, longest contract I have of any service. You pay on this one and I am guessing because it is costly equipment. With good credit I did not pay for ANYTHING.No complaints. Probably the only complaint is that Vivint has left me on the phone a long time more than once. I mentioned my dad. I save the best for last. My dad has Dementia really bad. My Vivint system is one of my guardian angels besides my Caregiver! I could not manage his safety and my awareness if I did not have the system. I have shared this with many people who are going through what I am as a Caretaker. I use the APP on my phone and know when he gets up, when he goes to bed, when he moves anywhere in the house. I monitor his temperature in his home, automate locking up his home, control lights and set alarm notifications on my phone if any of my conditions or sensors are exceeded. I had this websites #1 Alarm Company and I am telling you for sure that I would place Vivint #1 because there was no comparison. Best of all, nobody can cut a telephone line that is not needed. If someone tried to disable it, you better be fast because help is on the way and you will get blasted by the deafening alarm. You best remember your password.

There's only one small complaint and that would be with my aunt. She died a year ago in April and we cannot get Vivint to quit sending the bill to her. The alarm kept going off and all that kind of stuff and we still have not been able to get them do anything about it. So we finally just took the system out ourselves, but they continue to send the bill. Can't tell you why but we ain't paying it so it doesn't matter.
