GoHealth was launched in 2001 with the mission to improve access to health insurance. In 2016, the company entered the Medicare Advantage market and has become a trusted Medicare Advantage marketplace since that time.

When can I enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan?

Most American citizens and permanent residents become eligible and apply for Original Medicare, a federally administered health insurance program, when they turn 65. Once you’ve signed up for both parts of Original Medicare (Medicare Part A and B), you have the option to substitute a Medicare Advantage (Medicare Part C) plan from a private insurance carrier. You can make this change during the Initial Enrollment Period (which includes three months before and after the month of your 65th birthday) or every year during the Annual Enrollment Period from October 15 to December 7.

According to a different Medicare agency, my new insurance was not registered correctly with CarePlus but I was extremely happy with Tara’s help to help me find the right coverage for me and I had thought that I was set on staying with WellCare until I realized that WellCare had really decreased their coverage compared with 2024 coverage and that it was not worth me staying with WellCare. She explained the benefits from WellCare compared to the benefits from CarePlus. Tara was amazing.

My husband and I were extremely pleased working with GoHealth. The agents are knowledgeable, pleasant and customer service driven. All you need for them to get you the best plan is your doctor(s) and medications. They are budget conscious and will find a plan with payback or quarterly cash for over the counter items ie. vitamins, etc. We highly recommend them.

Gary was so helpful finding the right plan for me and broke it down to me in a very easy to understand manorrr. In the past I’ve tried to pick my insurance provider with no help and I then end up not receiving or using my health care benefits.

Daylynn was so very patient, answered all my questions, researched questions for a complete and knowledgeable answer. Bright personality, easy to understand in no heavy accent. She took her time in finding the right plan for my needs, which unfortunately are now complicated. We spoke for 1 hour or more. I finally felt like someone actually cared about helping me, as opposed to other insurance agents Iv spoke with. She went above and beyond what was expected of her.

Got a card in the mail to call this # for more health benefits. Called and spoke to Kaycee. It was a long call, but Kaycee was very patient and knowledgeable. I tend to banter on sometimes and she took it all in stride. She explained each benefit I qualified for asking if I could use it. Of course, the answer was yes. If I come across anyone who is on Medicare Advantage, I’ll tip them off to Kaycee and GoHealth for extra benefits.
