Excellent card. I orignally got it with a Costco membership. I eventually dropped Costco but kept AMEX! I love the pre-sale benefits for concerts and shows plus the no-fee option is great.

I used my Amex card to build my credit score! It's a great tool as long as you are responsible with money and only charge what you can afford to pay off each month! The only downside is the fee!

I can say how much I LOVE the customer service at American Express. If I ever have an issue with either of my cards customer service is always eager to help. I’ve never had any issue that hasn’t been resolved.

I like the AMEX card I have and use it regularly. The only real downside is the excessive yearly fee although that is ameliorated by the various offers (like TSA Pre, Global Entry, Marriott rewards, ...). Customer support is great and polite. A good card to have in your wallet.

Amex was my first and only credit card for years. The rewards points that you can use toward your balance are generous and the app is very intuitive to find what you need. Be careful of annual fees that apply to some cards and that the balance should be paid in full every month otherwise the interest rate is very high.

I been a client of Amex since 2004 and had enjoyed great rewards from avios points to companion voucher. We went to Mexico from UK me and my partner and we saved nearly half of the money for the flight. One bad think about it you need to pay tax and fuel and that cost me lots of avios point Maybe to many.

I've used the Amex prepaid card at stores that accept Amex, and had no problems with it. Going thru checkout was fast and easy as opposed to some other prepaid cards. Amex was hassle free.

I used to have the Gold card but after a while the rewards became lack luster especially with all the new cards that have since been introduced that do not have an annual fee. Had no issues and at the time it made sense but have since closed the account since it was just a money suck

I have the Amex Platinum. It's an expensive card to own but it's a great travel card. Had amazing bonus points to join Amex and that pulled me in. Their rewards programs are all aimed at high end luxury customers like for example the Equinox membership credit - but it's only applicable for the higher end of Equinox memberships and not the basic ones. Overall - okay I guess.

A prestigious card to use, however, is not flexible when trying to pay off a payment plan to avoid interest or the fee they charge to establish a payment plan. To reduce interest, I had to pay off the entire balance. Never use the card to purchase a major appliance on a payment plan that you intend to pay off early. The company won't let you do it. The plan is not very friendly. The card is good only for purchasing items that you plan to pay off the next billing cycle. Otherwise, it's not a reasonable tool.

Amex Gold card offers larger limit than most other cards. However it should be noted that if you have another Amex account ie; the every day card, the balance could counter your availability on your gold card account. Therefore your availability may not be what it appears. This could cause a serious problem if you have to make a large purchase for your business. You won't know until your purchase is declined and you call in to find out why.

There's one thing that you get with American Express that you just don't get with Visa/Mastercard: status. There's just something prestigious about whipping out the American Express card to pay at the restaurant. It is otherwise still an excellent credit card, but I can't give it 5 stars because it's not as universally accepted as Visa.

I've been an AmEx user for over 30 years! It has been my Corporate Card for three different companies. I also have Delta Card which gives me free luggage. I'm very happy with AmEx and the ability to get points from all my different cards, even the Corp Card is a big bonus. There is a small fee but it is worth it for the points.

We really have loved our family's American Express card. The customer service is great and we love how quick they are to act on potential fraudulent situations. I only decreased my rating due to the fact that it is our only card that some places will not accept. Wish we could use it everywhere we go!

Nice rewards card that you can redeem for every $2500.00 you spend. You can either get a gift card or apply the $25 to your card payment. Really good customer service too. Never had a problem with them.

I've had AmEx for 14 years. They've never done me wrong. I do hear they're tough on people who go into collections, so there is that to consider if you have a potential for it. However, if you pay on time they're great. They have awesome deals / rewards and their rates are pretty standard.

Have had a credit card for over 25 years. They email me when I purchase but don't present my card. They have contacted me with questionable purchases with have sometimes been fraudulent and sometimes legally done. Customer service is always responsive and courteous.

Our particular credit card gives a 6% cashback on groceries up to a certain limit. We have been very impressed with the amount of cash back we save on this card! As a family of seven groceries are one of our biggest expenses. I highly recommend this card. Don’t love their online system though.
