I actually have been improving my credit score over the last several years to the point that I have finally been able to be invited to become an Amex customer! I can continue to build my credit with the American Express bread rewards extremely high limit card with a decently low interest for my score! Super excited to have this utility at my financial disposal if necessary!

I have had my American Express credit card since 2011. I travel a lot and am a Diamond member. The customer service is great! I can call and get an actual person, from anywhere around the world. The customer service person accepts responsibility for me and my issue and never transfers me to some other department or person. This individual stays with my case until my problem is resolved!

American Express (Amex) offers some fantastic perks and rewards through their cards, making them a top choice for many. The offers and benefits are top-notch. This is what sold me on the card initially. Their mobile app also makes banking very simple, and it's one of few companies I haven't had to reach out to customer service with regarding my confusion over the functionality. It really is simple. In my experience, the only downside is that their interest rates can be on the higher side. If you're diligent about paying your balance in full each month, the rewards more than make up for it. Just be sure to keep an eye on those rates if you tend to carry a balance. Overall, a solid choice with great offers. I've recommended it to all of my [responsible] friends who are frequent travelers and spenders.

Opening an Amex credit card has been the best decision! As long as you pay it off on time and don't rack up interest, it's the best card around by a long shot. So many deals like free streaming services, subscriptions, and more. I frequently receive $25, $50, $100, etc. back on eligible purchases, and it helps me snag great deals. I have been thoroughly impressed.

I have been with Amex since 1978. They have been reliable and always very easy to deal with. I have found the extended warranty to be very helpful as well as the travel insurance. We had an accident 200 miles from home (drove there) and the accident was covered. They were very responsive and made the process simple. I do not leave home without it. I use the Bonvoy card now and have taken advantage of the hotel benefits.

American Express has been an exceptional company to work with since 2009. From the rewards to their help during a hardship, they have gone out of their way to treat me as a valued customer which is what everyone desires. My only negative is that it would be more helpful during this COVID/medical hardship to have the interest rate lowered more for a longer amount of time to replay them with a lower monthly payment.

This is my main "go-to" card when making 99% of my purchases. American Express is always quick to respond to any questions I may have. My husband and I have been a cardholder for over 50 years and not once have we been disappointed with their service, expediency in handling our requests or any refund issues. My husband recently passed away and the transition on the joint account was also a breeze. Couldn't be more pleased with a credit card company and their service as American Express!

American Express has surprised me with lots of perks on my credit card. When I had to make an expensive airline ticket purchase, Amex immediately sent me a deal with no interest and low payments! It made my life much less stressful. They raise my credit limit without me asking and they allow cash back to be retrieved at any time in any amount. Great and ageless credit card!!!

Not as impressed as I used to be. Card provides great benefits and good coverage on a number things. If you utilize the benefits offered, the annual fee may or may not be worth it. Look and choose.

I've had several credit cards and this is the BEST...customer service is outstanding, phone help is available 24/7 and associates always go out of their way to be helpful (I'm profoundly hard of hearing, and need extra help in every transaction, but they are never short-tempered when I have to ask for them to repeat themselves). If I had to limit myself to just one credit card, this would be the one!

Pros: The customer account website is designed well and easy to navigate. They address concerns very promptly. It was SO easy to get my money back on my card when Swoop airlines canceled my flight without refunding me right away (like other airlines will do). A lot of people are having issues with that airline. Points for purchases are pretty good - although CON: I hear that companies do not like when you use AMEX because they charge the business more than other cards. Some companies do not take the card at all - and definitely not overseas (learned that the hard way years ago when I went to Ireland).

I love my amex card! Its been a life saver in a pinch with the mobile check cashing bc I don't drive and I don't have a bank account to take checks to get cashed .. amex verified my identity without a bunch of hassle and the fact that u can have a sub account for another person is fantastic tool I didn't know I needed till I had it. I've had some horrible experiences with banks/ credit companies , I'd keep my money in a hole in a tree before trusting most of those companies but I've recommended amex to anyone who' has ears and would listen to me !

Amex is our card of choice out of all of our cards because we have the largest credit limit on that card and the most perks and rewards. We have used the Amex to get local offers with cash back to the card and other offers that have rewarded us with cash back to the card, incentivizing us to use the card to shop at specific locations. They stopped offering gift cards for redemption of points on our Amex cards, which is a bummer, and they still offer cash back to the card each month.

I loved having my AmEx everyday credit card. I was able to use it for moving across the country and it saved me a ton of money in interest costs. The only downside to the company is that they will automatically close your account if you do not use it for a year or more. I would recommend using it once or twice a year if you want to keep the account open and receive all the awesome benefits it offers.

I use my American Express card at least once a week. And in doing so I find that not only is it except in most places but it is also easy to pay off the bill. The bill comes for me and paper format and all the charges that I’ve used it for I listed, which is extremely helpful in keeping track of payments. Furthermore, the customer service for American Express is top tier. When I’ve had difficulties with my card or suspected that it could be lost calling with customer service desk is always result in a helpful response.

I had a dispute on my credit card with a business that overcharged me for their services. I called AE and explained my situation. They immediately took the charges off my account and then got their team involved to work with the charging company. AE did all the leg work internally and only called me to ask some questions about the situation. Other than that, I never heard anything about it.

American Express has one of the best customer service programs. Their fees may be on the high side to some, but I assure you, you can get the value out of those fees. From their frequent flyer programs, to car rental insurance, to shopping discounts etc, they constantly are providing value for the money you pay them. Their customer service generally has very low hold times, and if you are satisfied with anything, they take the risk on to themselves while they investigate your claimes

Amex credit card have the best rewards and customer service. We landed in Spain and our regular bank card was not accepted. We really needed to access cash. I emailed a friend and she reminded me we had Amex. They go cash in our hands within an hour. Their travel services are fantastic and they have lots of added perks and bonuses that save you money on things you buy. I recently got 20$ back on a Chewy.com purchase and 20$ back on a SOMA purchase. The money is credited to your account immediately. You don't have to wait months to get your bonus.

I have been an American Express Business credit card holder for 15 years. I've had a lot of credit cards, both for business and personal accounts, with different companies, and Amex is hands down the best. When I've had vendors not deliver the products I paid for, Amex has refunded the amount I paid quickly and easily. They also have an incredible rewards program which I've used quite a bit, redeeming points for travel and other perks. I still have multiple business credit cards with Amex, and I plan to continue to have those accounts long into the future.

I am a new customer to American Express, but so far am very happy with the product and rewards that I receive from the card. I currently have Delta Platinum SkyMiles card with Amex, which is a great compliment to the Delta SkyMiles I earn while traveling. Although this year I have not traveled as much as I have in previous years due to the global pandemic, this has not stopped me from earning miles on expenses that I will be able to bank for later. For me, the perks offered through the card are more than worth the annual membership fee. The website and apps or very easy to use and understand. It's easy to pay my bill, track my rewards, and see all the additional services and discounts I'm eligible for all within the app. For anyone that travels frequently, I would highly recommend becoming an Amex member.

I have had an American Express card for over 10 years what I appreciate most is the protection they provide to the cardholders the insurance that is included with most of their cards, including buyer protection and rental car protection. The one drawback is the annual fee and the interest rate can be high so you are paying for what you get with American Express, also most small businesses will not accept American Express due to its high fees Costco will also not accept American Express.

The Delta American Express is the best because I'm able to earn points on regular purchases everyday. These points turn into miles really fast. They are constantly having deals for more miles on restaurants, and you can even shop on their sky mall. The best is being able to board early on flights by just showing my Delta American Express. American Express is used everywhere and all over the world.

I have the Delta skymiles american express card. I really like getting a companion fare each year. It helps make the annual fee worth it. I travel often and use delta most often as my carrier so I get double points on all those purchases. It has been a good card, it isn't great for international travel though. It is not accepted in as many places overseas.

I appreciate it when I get a notification from them letting me know that something in my spending pattern was different and they just wanted to verify that it was in fact me who made the charge. There was a time however that I hadn't made the charge on my account and there were no questions asked, AmEx reversed the charges and didn't penalize me for it. that's good customer service in my book.

American Express is THE BEST! I have the platinum card and cannot say anything bad about them (even with the high yearly fee). Anytime something I bought with my Amex breaks or has an issue, I reach out to Amex and they immediately refund me to fix or buy a new one. I have extended warranties on everything I buy through American express (I got a new harddrive on my Mac and Amex covered every penny!) Favorite card!

We used American Express for several years while they were affiliated with Costco. The annual rebate was reliable, and their website was easy to use. While we no longer use their services due to Costco's change to Citi, we would have no problem using their services in the future.

I no longer have a card with American Express since they broke from Costco, but I never had any problems with them. I liked their website much better than Citibank's (who Costco partners with now), and they were really good to take care of the couple times my husband's card number was stolen and used, so that was very appreciated. They aren't accepted everywhere which can get annoying, but overall they were pretty good and I liked them. The only reason we were with them in the first place though was because of the partnership with Costco.

I got my american express card so I can get the 40,000 travel points that was advertised with it. I spent $1000 in the first 3 months. After I spent my money they quickly credited my account with my travel points. Yeah!! I like the online payment option.

I had an AmEx Platinum card. These cards have no standard limit. Mine didn't either. But then they limit it....often. I don't use credit cards that often, just for big stuff to spread out over time, trips, major purchases, etc. This card was no different. It cost me close to 700 a year to have it and I mainly used the perks. Discounts they send, subscriptions that are reimbursed, and getting into airport lounges. I used it heavily on a vacation in July until they ended my spending. I called CS and asked why. They said "you don't use the card often enough. Your spend limit is based on a multiple of what you use it for monthly" Oh...it DOES have a crappy limit. Lower than my other cards. They call it "spending power". I don't want to have to check my cards to be able to use them. I paid the card back down and stopped using it. I paid my annual renewal fee a month ago...then they cancelled the card notifying me by email. Mixed feelings about this....go Amex, why on earth would you want a client that keeps the balance at zero and only uses the card on big purchases you will make interest on. Stick with people that keep huge balances and always use the card...sounds like a recipe for real success when the economy collapses again. BTW, they do have pretty good CS reps.
