I was shopping for Solar last year and these guys by far were the pushiest. They wanted me to go Solar the day they showed me their proposal for rooftop Solar and I wanted to take my time. 48k for a system is something you don't rush to judgement on. I needed to take my time and be completely confident in my decision. After what seemed like hours of " let me think about it" the salesman relented and said that my pricing was good for only 48hrs. In 48 hrs I got more marketing from them then you can imagine and half of it wasn't even about solar. That was a big disappointment that cost them the sale.

I wish I would of went with this provider but instead made the dumb decision to get panels through Sunnova. This company came out as well and was really knowledgeable and nice. They are also always at the stores doing presentations for the panels and have always been super sweet too.

One of their representatives, Trent D came to my door, despite the No solicitation sign at the entrance to our community and the one outside my door. He argued with me and refused to leave stating I was the reason energy prices are so high, ranting about how he wasn't' actually selling anything so he was free to ignore the no solicitation signs. I will spend my time spreading the word that Vivant is a company that does not respect the privacy of homeowners and openly ignores no solicitation signs. This is known as trespassing on private property.

Avoid this company and its parent, Sunrun, at all costs. It's almost impossible to reach anyone who know what he's doing. I have to answer numerous questions on the phone before being put on hold, and then I'm often disconnected. When I do reach someone, I have to start from scratch, then get transferred to another person and start from scratch again. Clearly, the company has put no effort into customer service, or is run by someone completely incompetent.

THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALT WITH. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Their products FAIL and their service is a complete joke. It took over 9 months for the system to get installed and operation and 6 months after installation, the Inverter failed - it hasn't operated in over 2 months and they are still billing me for the monthly rental fees. UNREAL.

I don't even know where to start VIVINT SOLAR has been the worst company by far. Their so-called salespersons never gets back to you. I had to call James and he would not call back or return texts and some guy called Skyler was no help either after speaking to him about my solar getting approve and connected with Pg&E waiting over two weeks and he doesn't get back to me. What kind of people are they hiring for these companies just a bunch of frauds just like the salespersons that work for these companies.

This is the worst company on the planet. Techs put holes in my roof when installing panels, can’t get in touch with my “claims specialist” asked for supervisor and still haven’t heard back from ANYONE in a month as to them replacing the ceiling that is all stained from their installation. The leak started in Nov. I didn’t see any staining until January, they didn’t come out to inspect until April, fixed the exterior at that point. I still have a stained ceiling and can’t get in touch with anyone. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I dislike being lied to, can’t get ahold of English speaking agents when you call. No follow up when you express concerns you have. The local rep won’t return calls or messages. The parent company Sunrun dosen’t seem concern about anything that Vivint does or dosen’t do. How about them saying you will never get another bill from Edison, they forgot to tell Edison.

Installation took out some items in my house. Main concern being frying my HVAC system. I am still waiting for resolution. Electrician that showed up was very helpful, and recommended an HVAC specialist to continue to troubleshoot.

I understand that customer "care" probably has several scripts to read from. However, they should at least not talk over and interrupt you so they are reading from the correct one. It has taken us way too long to receive a simple answer........an answer that should be made clear in documentation. But that is part of the problem, we never get a clear answer from this company.

It's all crap from the poor follow thru of the salesperson to customer service hanging up on me and putting me on hold 6 times to speak with imaginary managers. numerous tonnes I asked for a manager until he (Mark) hung up on me. There's so much I couldn't possibly find where to start. Between getting my house and my mother's completely mixed up Save your time, energy, and sanity and wrestle a pitbull instead.

Terrible experience. Sales person basically promised us a bunch of things that were all lies. Took forever to get the system up and running (6-8 Months). Soon after installation our roof starting leaking. They sent someone out to look at it, never got up on the roof and said it was not Vivint's fault. I asked to see the documentation saying they inspected the roof to make sure it was sound before installation and they said they don't do that. This was stated to me by the sales people. I had a roofing contractor take a look and the issues are only by where the panels are installed.

Very disappointed. I was told that our electric bill will be no higher than what we've paid previously with solar. I just received a $400 electric bill on top of what I am paying for this solar. So basically in the dark months, the solar takes all of your electric that would be given back to JCPL so you are basically being charged double. I have never paid this much for electric. My highest bill ever was $200. Now I'm paying $500 total this month WITH solar. Very misleading. Biggest regret getting this solar!

This is a beyond horrible experience that you are signing up for for 20 years!!! Most importantly on top of all the other issues - My bill went up 3 TIMES!!! AND I am still getting a bill from my regular company. There is absolutely no way to resolve anything with vivint solar. They never return your calls, customer service reps lie all the time and never get anything done.

I am very unhappy with this company with the way they treat customer . I signed a contract to install solar panels a year ago and in that contract says that if my roof gets damage it will get fix, well my roof started to show water damage in one area i contact them via email firs they responded saying that they will get back to me with in 2 business days which they never did i am the one calling them to figurate out what are they going to do ;I am very frustrate i will look into all of my options including suing them.

I already had my own 2K system, but needed a little more. The rep said I would only pay for the kilowatts I needed and it would be cheaper than PG&E. I’ve been paying 200.00 a month to Vivint, 3 times what my electricity bill was before I even had my own 2K system. I’m being totally ripped off, and so far nothing from them. If the whole premise is to save money on your electric bill then they’ve failed big time!

I have had them going on 7 years plus and I would say this: Worst customer service I have ever experienced! They will not tell you the truth! I’m trying to reroof and get them to remove panels to get the reroof done and been nothing but a pain! This company is just a nightmare and stay away from them! Lease panels own them don’t deal with Vivint! Will take years off your life and buyer beware

If I could give them zero stars I would. Their customer service is deplorable. The keep you in their hamster wheel hoping if they ignore you for long enough you will just go away. Over 2hr wait times just to speak to a representative and they ignore your emails. If you are considering Vivint for anything, RUN!!

So far Vivint solar has been the most unorganized and slowest company that has done work for me. The reps don’t call you back, just one delay after the next. My panels have been installed for over three months and I am still waiting for the system to be activated. The whole summer is going to be gone before this system gets turned on. Aweful experience.

Back in October of 19 I had the solar panels removed . They assured me that a license roofer would remove the panels. Came to our attention that the roofers VIVANT USED covered up the vents and completely removed them on the roof, and SEALED them closed .. This could have been a horrible outcome!! I am now seeking legal advice . If course have sent a email and no response

there are some boxes that look next to the iron panels put them inside the attic and they had put two panels wrong then they took them out and left under the roof something that looks like raised in four different parts .. my roof looks very bad now

Worst customer service ever. We were never provided a contract. Tried to sell our house and it was a nightmare. We closed on our house for a lot less than we would have received due to issues with vivint. The house closed in January, I paid Vivint 15,000.00 and signed the release of liability. 3 months Vivint is still charging us for power without my permission. I was told by them that I still own the solar because the new owners failed to sign the transfer agreement. I get nothing but the runaround from Vivint.

Charge money for not provided energy and customer service is not able to solve this. System was broken and service team turn it off for replacement for about 15 days, but they charge me a money and name this as communication issue (what charged as average production). Spend more than hour on phone (with 4 or 5 jumps from one to other operator) trying to solve issue with no luck, customer service just repeat: "communication issue" with no evidence from their side, just word vs word. It not happen every day but at this moment I am highly disappointed.

Nothing but a problem since day one, which dates back to June of 2017. After signing papers in July 2017, they never came until Oct of 2017 to do the install, From that point it took until mid May of 2018 for them to finish the system. Long story short the system has been down for almost 2 years. I am looking into legal ways of having them take the system off of my roof.

I was misled / lied by your sales representative Brian B. He told my wife we had a no cost cancellation clause in Maryland which turned out to be false. I have a copy of an email sent to Brian reiterating my concerns prior to the installation and again he assured me that there's no cost cancellation. Now 7 years later were trying to sell our house and most people walk away the moment I bring up the leased Solar Panels

Nothing but a problem since day one, which dates back to Nov of 2014. After signing papers in July they never came until Nov of 2014 to do the install, of which it was 4 days after the death of my wife. From that point it took until mid Feb of 2015 for them to finish the system. Long story short the system has been down for almost 2 years. It's all about the support service. With Vivint that mean foreign speaking staff that refuse to transfer customers to the USA . Highly untrained staff barely understand American English . We made three calls of over 30 minutes each after constant disconnects without one grain of assistance. In two hours we still had zero contact with a technical support person. Unless you have barrels of time and the patience of angels, don't use Vivint. Anyone can sell but service is the key. We are still on hold after three hours for after asking for simple support.
