VIVINT Solar.....SUCKS!, we signed a contract 9/1/2015 and still as of today 8/3/2016 we still are NOT hooked up! Excuse after excuse and always everyone else's fault. I am so over VIVINT, the fast talking sales rep Todd Jensen, customer service rep Crystal are all idiots! The installed panels are just a few days from being removed from our roof and SMASHED into teeny tiny pieces! B E W A R E...DO NOT USE VIVINT!!!

sales rep told me I would be up and running in mid or late july from installation date of april15,2016 here it is aug 2 still waiting inspections. customer service really sucks because they send emails at 1130 pm for an inspection the next day unfortunately I missed inspection cause I didn't get email till next day, and then it takes a week or longer to get back to you and still no answers after they do. SO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

These guys are crooks. The sales guy tried to scam us. He told us were were signing a letter to let them check out our house to see if solar would even work. Instead, he had us sign a 20 year contract. It was a review on this sight that made my husband read the fine print the next day. THANK YOU! He also told us we could cancel at any time before the panels were installed, but according to the fine print you had to cancel within 3 days of signing. We immediately fedexed a cancellation. If these people come to your house, please slam the door for us.

If you're an established customer, you will wait on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes whenever you call. When you are becoming a customer, they will say whatever they have to say, regardless of whether or not it is true. This company is horrendous after the signing on the dotted line. Seven months for what they said would be 2-3 months. (I had expected 4-5 months, but 7 was ridiculous!!)

I now have what amounts to a lien on my home. I was never told by the sales rep that this would happen. Vivant just went ahead and added a UCC-1 on my mtg. at the registry od deeds,without notifying me. I am told that this is not considered a lien by the solar company. But for all intents and purposes it is exactly that. They claim it is just to let anyone know that they have an interest in my property.Again I was never told of this situation. why do the Vivant people puta lien on your house and do not tell you.

I have had the Vivint Solar System for 3 months. I have not saved anything. My signature is on a contract that I do not remember signing. At 80 years old I don't think that I can commit to anything for 20 pus years. The contract states that there will be an increase in the cost per KWH by 2.9 percent every year. I am very disappointed. Also I am not happy with having to pay for all energy produced even if I don't use it. When I tried to cancel the service the cost was $70,000.

Nightmare with Vivint Solar! A year after I paid thousands of dollars to build out the infrastructure to add additional panels, they still had not turned on the service! Hours and hours of phone calls, city inspector ready to penalize me because work wasn't finished, emails and more emails. Promises and broken promises. Oh, and being charged for a system NEVER turned on. Go with anywhere else!! Feel free to checkout my "Yelp!" reviews. Oh, and I sold the house and 6 months later they still haven't move the billing to the new owner. Looking for solar on new house, it will not be Vivint.

They do really bad work, people working there are totally unqualified, management is terrible, the northern region alone has over one thousand jobs that aren't working properly or in commission. They lie to employees, false promises of incentives and raises, and don't listen to what little qualified personnel that refuse to do unworkable rooftop systems.

Signed contract with Vivint Solar in August 2015; solar panels installed in March 2016; County inspection was occur at 1pm today but they haven't showed up yet (it's now 2:30pm); Vivint is here to do work after the County inspection, but where is the County? After this part is done, then it will be ANOTHER 30 days to finally start using these solar panels. Very frustrating and annoying that we've waiting almost 1 YEAR to get this completed. Not a happy customer here. I'm anxious to find out if we will have any savings after all of this.

My experience with Vivint started out great but ended up HORRIBLE!!!!!! I moved almost a year ago and got the new owners to sign transfer papers. I am still being charged for the services even though I haven't lived there for 11 months and every time I talk to someone from Vivint I am told it is their mistake and they will take care of it but nearly a year later they still haven't.

Well I have had Vivint for two years now. I was told my electric bill would run $18.00 a month from my Hawaiian electric company. Havent seen that yet. my bill is still high so they added more panels and it didnt help. My bill is still at $100.00 a month and paying Vivint $260.00 a month. Now they say I may need more panels but I have to wait for approval which they dont know how long it will take. Not happy at all plus they dont return your calls..During the summer with my AC going my bill was up to $600.00...$300.to Vivint and $300 to Hawn. Electric Co.

absolute nightmare since installed in August 2014-any savings I've gained have been offset in thousands of dollars in home repairs due to poor installation. Im currently listening to water pouring in to a large bucket in my living room. Last summer it was a huge water ring on my freshly painted ceiling (install techs stepped on and cracked the PVC pipe to my central air) + a bill to my HVAC company. few months before it was no heat in New England winter for three months because the techs knocked it out. Don't. Just don't. You'll regret it. I do.

I hate ths company. Installers stepped thru my ceiling while working in the attic. Repair looks horrible. Tried contacting my satisfaction manager, no response. They will not accept my check for payment. Only want a CC, or access to my checking account. Not going to happen. Disconnected it from the grid, and hired a lawyer. Can't wait to get them off my property.

We were sold on the sales pitch for the solar panels. All the equipment belonged to Vivint. We did not realize that we were paying them for the energy we produced. When our bill went up during the summer months we started making phone calls. And that is when we read the small print. I love the solar panels and what they do for our environment. But their sales pitch needs to be way more upfront with how their billing works. But the did come back months later and fixed a leak in the roof.

Vivint's bills are too high! Was told wouldn't pay over a certain amount each month, which is not true. I see no savings! A web of misrepresentation!!!!!! Getting electric bill from PSE&G as well as from Vivnt. Bills = more then if i had 1 bill from 1 company.... I wish I can remove these solar panels and go back to JUST 1 bill from PSE&G!!!!!

These sales people are misleading, high pressure and are out right liars. People are getting burned with leasing terms when it comes selling or refinancing and home selling. Companies like this capitalize on all the benefits of going solar while just throwing the consumer a small carrot. Not the way to go, plus they can change terms. If you go solar; Own the panels!!! Get the federal tax credit and state! Most important, get the SREC! The state of Mass will be taking a look at the this company and others are screwing consumers!

I've have nothing but issues with vivint solar. I am paying almost double the amount I was paying with my utility carrier and only generating about a $3 credit. There's a discrepancy of energy that seema to be missing every month that i pay for. I've been calling vivint solar for four months now and they have done nothing for me but take my money. I wish I hadn't believed all the lies told to me before I signed the contract.

A twenty year lease is too long. They have saved me very little, as was promised. I live alone and have far too many panels for my usage. Told me to get two electric space heaters for winter to stay warm, glad I did not their "Bank" as they like to call it died after two months and still paying my usual Electric Supplier the same amount I did last year. A nightmare from the start. Oh dear, why did I let that salesman in????

its been almost 2 years ,and their system is not running! vivint said that once the installation is done it would take a month to get the system connected to the grid, we are still waiting still today 3/7/2016,installed on 7/7/2014. poor customer service, they tried to blame us for their system is not up and running they even tried to forge my signature on a third party inspection form, and have the nerve to tell me that it is our fault that the NEM will be expired. do not go with Vivint Solar! bunch of liars

Vivint installed the panels on my roof after selling me on the fact that I would not have to pay for this system but the electricity would be given to United Illuminating, the electric company I deal with. After almost five months, this system is not up and running and when I have been given a date of inspection, Vivint stated that because of back up, it would now be delayed but given no date of when.....

some one completely DROPPED the BALL on us. we were promised a few things .that were not delivered. things were going ok and all sudden nothing absolutely nothing we eaven had the permits and they just vanished off the planet no phone calls and no return calls. very very BAD built up a seniors hopes and then act like nothing ever happened. shame on you. shame on ADAM.

They seem like a decent company. Only issue I had was the fact that that the amount my house needs to produce to have a zero bill seems high. They are making money of the sale of the power I generate and I am not seeing benefits on my bill for it, well I am seeing benefits but just not what I think is a fair number...

Before merging with Sunrun their customer service was horrible. They sometimes didn't call you back or if they did it took them days to respond. They at one point wouldn't add extra solar panels even though we were using more electricity than the previous owner. I had to call back many times just to get them to install the extra panels. They also told me that I was in my second year of the lease even though I was still in my first. They were a bad company. I have not had to deal with the new owners' customer service dept. as of yet so I will not be able to give a review of them.

Having their panels will cost you more than not having solar at all. Their customer service line is unhelpful, won't let you finish a sentence, and very heavily accented. Making a deal with a devil might be a healthier option than using Vivint.

I AM NOT SAVING A PENNY!!!!!! THIS MONTH MY VIVINT BILL WAS ALMOST THREE TIMES HIGHER THAN MY PGE BILL FOR LAST YEAR, ALMOST THREE TIMES!!!!! My PG&E bill for last April was just $89.53. This April with Vivint it is $234.21!!!!!!! I WANT ALL THAT JUNK OFF OF MY ROOF!!!!! I ruined my roof for nothing!!!!!

Yup, reviews are accurate. Sales man here and gone tomorrow. Promise a follow up good bad or indifferent the next day. There was a computer glitch on the company end and we where going to know the outcome the very next day,two weeks ago?...oh well if you can’t have the respect to follow up your credibility is non existent. I dislike being lied to, I didn't know that this contract was for five years and the sales person gave me a bogus cell number. Now I am having a problem with my roof leaking and I can't get anyone to connect to me to the right department. I've been waiting almost two weeks and I haven't heard from anyone.

This company feels like scam. I get two bills of equal amount. One from Vivint and one from Socal Edison. I called Vivint two times, once each month. The guy confirmed our panels were only working at 70% and he would send someone out. Nobody ever contacted us, or came out. Don't fall for this scam!!!

The customer service is atrocious. When you have a problem, they never get back to you. The rep either didn’t tell me the truth or was not knowledgeable about the company. Their entire way of doing business is deceptive and is geared toward making the most money possible without doing the work to deserve it

Vivint Solar has been unresponsive to attempts to complete my solar project. Installation 5 1/2 weeks ago and no end in site to getting it inspected and permission to operate. Project started 4 months ago and since they have been paid in full, they simply do not care. All I have been given are lies.

This Company is the WORST , when it was to convince us to install the Panels they would not stop bothering , we finally installed the panels now that we need a new roof because it is raining inside our home , NO ONE responds to calls or e-mails , at the point that now I have to hire an Attorney to get the Panels down

The power is reasonably priced. Getting thru on the phone for service is impossible, no call backs. Our roof has been replaced and we want panels re-installed, and we cannot reach a representative. Have called 8 times and waited about 20 minutes for representative to come on the line, then phone disconnects.
