We compared several solar companies (Tigard, OR) and went with BR because of their experience and competitive price. Sometimes the automated corporate messaging felt a little "pushy" but our salesperson Richard was nothing but responsive, kind, and helpful. Panels were installed as expected and I appreciated that BR handled approval arrangements with PGE, the county, etc.

Update: Blue Raven Solar’s corporate customer service has contacted us and done their due diligence to address and correct the issues. That arose from working with their local contractor. I am SO disappointed in Blue Raven Solar! The installation and turn-on of our system has been an awful experience. I would not recommend them to anyone and wish I could cancel everything, get rid of their panels, and go with a different company. The installation crew left a huge mess, the panels/micro-inverters are not producing energy, they have sent people unequipped to solve the problem, and their customer service has been abysmal. In fact, we were encouraged to go ahead and leave negative reviews, so here we are. If you’re thinking of going solar, don’t make the same mistake we did, pick a different company.

Brady did a great job coming to my house to explain the cost breakdown and helping get everything approved and ready for installation. Jay did a great job with the actual install. I’m still waiting for the final approval from Idaho Power but I’m liking what I see so far!

I have had Sun Power panels for a year now. Every month I am sending a lot of generated power back to the grid. Too bad the per KWH they pay me for the power I send back to the grid is not what they charge me to use their power . But that’s a complaint against the power company and not SunnPower. No issues with Sun Power at all. No callbacks, nothing . With the cost of using power from the supplier company going up every year I feel using solar panels was a good decision.

A solid five! Josh has been great. Our initial meeting, he was no pressure. He answered all our questions. He was often in contact with us throughout the process. The gentleman who came out to inspect everything was great. Professional yet really friendly as was Josh. Even when we had a slight hiccup with the placement of our A/C unit, the company came through in having it moved. It's been a great experience and we look forward to starting up the new system later today when we get home.

Likes: Sales rep answered all of my questions. Installers were professional, polite and cleaned the area around the house. No HARD selling techniques. Sales Rep professional and polite. Improvements: At least a 2 day advance notice on installation. Electrician came to the house unannounced and I received phone calls from my neighbors about a truck parked in front of my house. Not quite sure what I was supposed to do after installation. I was told I would receive an email from SunPower and I did not receive it until I called. I had to install 3 of the 5 smoke alarms. There was not enough hardware to properly install the alarms.

I was inquisitive but not completely sold about Solar but after saying yes and having it for a week it’s exciting to check the meter and the app to see not only am I using solar but I am selling back to the grid. They made the paperwork much easier to deal with than going it alone. I really enjoyed that I was always able to talk to a real person at any point during the process. I also really appreciated that I was updated on certain aspects of the project. The electric output has been fairly accurate. It's producing slightly less than was calculated but given that weather has been somewhat unpredictable, I think this is understandable. The panels have still been covering over 96% of my electricity usage so I am happy about that.

Our experience has been great. All that they promised has been delivered. I did my research before going with Blue Raven they offered the best type of solar panels my home. The longest part has been waiting on electric company to switch out the meter. Blue Raven has their own employees install all equipment so no third parties to deal with and by far had the best interest rates for financing. Every time I had a question someone would call & text giving name and phone number. I'm glad I picked them. If anything changes I will come back with updates.

Before we finally have SunPower, we contacted two solar companies at different years. The loan figure amounts quoted by either company has been more than the amount we are paying for our electricity every month. But when we read the final papers and contract we cancelled. SunPower installed 14 panels that generates the number of kwh we need to get every year's electricity consumption. It's not only easy on our roof, but we also see it actually works and saves us money!

I love how the solar panels and Tesla battery work in tandem. My house faces south so it's optimal for solar panels. The product it excellent. I signed the contract on March 2021. I understood that because of COVID, there would be slow. I didn't get my panels installed until September 2021 and battery installed until March 2022. Then I couldn't get anyone to tell me about the details about my financing. Someone dropped the ball somewhere on my account, it took so long that they had to recheck my credit and I had to reapply for the loan. I called over 10 times within the year to ask the status of my account and who do I have to pay or when do I get my financing details. Not sure if there was a communication error between sales and other departments but it took a while. Now since then, everything is running smoothly, not have had to call for any issues. No news is good news I suppose.

The solar power system that Sunpower installed has worked flawlessly since it's installation. I was not happy with the issues that were encountered during installation, such as the delays during the Christmas holidays. The installers should have taken into account that it would be difficult to schedule workers during that time. But, since then, I have not had any issues with the system and would recommend them to everyone.

The crew installing the panels were very efficient, friendly and willing to take the time to explain what they were doing when asked. Cory, who came out to install the cell kit for internet access was very knowledgeable, saw that only 11 of the 28 panels were being seen by the software and took the time to fix the problem. He did a great job of explaining the apt for monitoring the system and explained every screen leaving us with a wonderful feeling that did the right thing going with solar and Blue Raven. I have been recommended about sun power by one of my friend and I got them installed couple of years back. I have no complaints about it and have been recommending this to my friends ever since. I love the way team had installed the panel with no mess of pipes running around and I have been generating enough power for my usage. We measured to generate 103% of my capacity and the panels have been true to their generation capacity.

This is the third time you have asked for me review, once again I will provide you with my honest opinion and feedback. We looked at a number of solar providers and SunPower was the best option for our home. We installed the beginning of December 2022 and the panels overproduced what we used for the month exceeding our expectations. Our son and 3 of his friends have also moved forward with SunPower and have either installed or are waiting to get installed. I highly recommend SAVKAT ( local dealer) and SunPower. The panels are made here in the USA which I like.

They ( Sun Power and Precis Solar ) are always helpful and call back quickly if someone isn't available at the moment. I've needed to call then a number of times s the supplied documentation that came with the system ( panels and a battery ) seemed to describe an earlier version of the monitoring software and didn't give much in terms of how to diagnose / change various functionality. In particular, there are status lights on the battery that turn various colors but, to date, I haven't found documentation on what those LEDs indicate. The system does work fine and it does well at switching over to grid power ( and back ) when there is an event that causes SDGE to go down and/or when the battery reaches a 20% level.

Lots of rain the last few days but I do love the app that comes with the system to track solar production to home consumption usage. Overall very happy with the system and SunPower.

I've enjoyed the SunPower 9kW solar system installed on my roof. It has worked great. I didn't pay for any electricity except August thru November of this year. I paid not because they solar system didn't produce enough power, it was because I had a very problematic HVAC issue which took a few months to fix. As soon as it was operating normally again, I didn't pay for electricity in December nor January 2023. Really enjoy the cost savings the system provides.

Despite two inches of snowfall the night before, the Blue Raven crew arrived on time, cleared the snow from the roof, and completed the installation before dark. The crew was friendly and courteous. The crew leader found that some roof vents were not as shown on the installation plan. He was able to modify the placement of solar panels to a configuration much nicer in appearance. We could not be more pleased.

I have been quite happy with Blue Raven from the beginning. The salesperson, Adam has tried to be on top of everything and keep me posted along the way. The install started yesterday, but the wrong equipment, not all the stuff or the wrong stuff was sent. They did what they could but were also short staffed, so it couldn't be finished. Now I have to wait to get back on the schedule to get it finished and the inspection done. The installers were awesome - so professional and kept me informed of what was happening. I would have gone 5 star if this were just for the people I've dealt with, but since it includes the company as a whole and their goof up yesterday, I am going with a 4 but would actually do a 4.5 if I could.

I compared SunPower proposal to three other companies and SunPower was the clear winner. Greg, my sales person was excellent. Once the contract was signed the experience was even better. SunPower installers were top notch and on time. They did miss the fact I needed a new sub panel which set my start up date back but Sun Power electricians made the upgrade at no cost to me. Once turned on the performance of my panels were abut 5% better than Greg had estimated in his proposal. The SunPower apps very useful. Together with the APS website I have full visibility on all production and usage.

Blue Raven was great from start to finish. They were extremely helpful throughout the process regarding initial contact, system design and financing. I was really impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the installation crew--they were quick and competent, and really seemed to like their jobs! In all, I could not believe how fast the process went from start to finish. The only delay has been PGE--we are still waiting for them to come and link up the bidirectional metering. But throughout Blue Rave has been on top of things and very attentive to detail.

Unfortunately this company is not honest with their customers about what they are doing. I was lied to about so much of this process and I am really regretting ever purchasing my panels. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If you want to really see what they're about, check out the complaints on BBB. They have their customers do reviews right after contract signing & installation so the reviews aren't really representative of the company.

Installation team was courteous and professional. They arrived on time and installed the system with no interruption of electrical service to the house. During the installation we had several questions which the team answered right away. The cleanup around the house was OK but found a number of pieces of wire and metal conduit and clamps outside around the house, about 6 items in all. Not to do with the installation team but the system was installed 5 days ago, and we don't know if the system is working or when it will be working and have had no other contact from Blue Heaven about what if anything needs to happen and when? Overall Good experience!

We have had a great experience with Blue Raven Solar. Starting with our salesman Kody who was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He also followed up with through installation and inspection. The installation team was very efficient. They were friendly and were glad to answer any questions we had. Blue Raven was great to work with for my solar install. Not only did they do an incredible job with their install, finishing the project earlier than anticipated and leaving a clean job site and great mechanical appearance, they also helped me easily navigate all aspects of financing, permitting, coordination with my power company, and tax credit rebates. I would highly recommend Blue Raven for anyone interested in pursuing solar install but concerned about upfront costs or unsure of the process.

While it sounds too good to be true, so far so good. The estimate, the planning, the install, etc. everything so far has gone great. We have been making electricity for a couple of weeks so far. Sales Manager, Install Crew were great. Process was VERY easy, Blue Raven Solar took care of everything. They also pay your 1st 18 months of your solar panel loan and the first check arrived without any call center calls. Everything has been as promised, as discussed and as planned. Very happy so far.

Blue Raven Solar has been an exceptional company to work with for the installation of my home solar system. The initial coordination between the install team and the materials delivery was off however my assigned customer rep/project manager was quick to correct the communication issues and expedite the install. The installation was performed with quality workmanship and I have seen no issues after 6 months. My system exceeds the expected production and am very happy with the results. Highly recommended!

I called in to report a flashing light on my SunPower box. I was pleased to be connected to a technician named Cath. She explained in layman's terms exactly what was going on and was able to troubleshoot and resolve my issue. She was personable, courteous, and very professional. She made sure I was completely satisfied before we ended the call. I was more than satisfied with the high level of service she offered. Well done Cath 👍🏾

We just had our install completed and so far very happy. They were very respectful and informative about what they were doing and the process. **** Also very pleased with the way it looks **** I was fearful the panels would be an eye sore but they match nicely with our roof and our house being on a slight hill, they do not stick out much at all. Now looking forward to seeing some impact!!
