While the system seems to be working well enough now, I had several issues on the initial set up. I had my electrical panel upgraded before getting my solar panels. After Blue Raven came to hook up my solar system my newly upgraded electrical panel was left in such poor condition by Blue Raven, that the lid barely closed. In the process they managed to also loosen other connections and several months later I had to call in an independent electrician in order to find out what was going on. I really wanted to love Blue Raven and write them a good review, but I there were numerous times when I had to follow up with them just to get the basics taken care of. They tried to be very helpful on the phone, but the actual service I received wasn't to the level of what I felt it could be.

I am happy with Blue Raven Solar however I am waiting until I have had the Solar panels on for a full year to see if I am in fact generating the 105% power that Blue Raven Solar says I should generate. However so far I haven't generated that much power.

We wish we never purchased the solar panels and that we shopped around a little more. Blue Raven didn't put the panels on according to the document that we signed. Their customer service was really frustrating as we tried to get the issue corrected. The panels cause snow to build up on the roof and it is extremely difficult and dangerous to shovel off. They finally informed us that they would fix it in the spring. However, to install the solar panels they had to put holes in the roof and to move them would weaken the roof. So honestly we don't know what to do and are to frustrated to go through customer service again. However, I give them 2 stars because the panels are working as guaranteed.

We were sold that this would be a swap of bills. Trading out the power bill for the solar loan, but we have not even come close to doing a 1-1 swap. Instead we are paying a high power bill along with the solar loan payment. This is NOT what we were sold. We even had them add 2 extra panels Incase the original quote wouldn't be sufficient- due to our circumstances and knowing we would likely use a lot of power.

I have not been completely satisfied with the service of the panels. The energy bill for the summer is way too high and I'm not happy with the solar panel output for the demand of cooling needs. I moved my thermostat from 73 degrees to 75 and my bill still soared to nearly $200. I have 36 panels and I can't understand why they can't support the needs of my home when so much sunlight is beating down on the panels which should be able to keep up with the energy needs for cooling. At this point I'm not happy with energy shortages the panels are producing.

We have had 2 major issues since we added our panels that have cost us money. both issues stemming from the install of our system. the first issue was addressed. the more recent issue i have not heard back from anyone. the system went down due to a mis-use of fuse when built. so for a month we were not producing power. i have now had 2 bills equaling $178 and feel we should get some form of compensation as this was the mistake of the install. So we paid double for the panels themselves and 2 months of power from duke. overall i had recommended this company to friends, but with these 2 major issues, i am not as confident to do so. I do feel this is a small item to compensate us for based on the error of the install.

Sunpower was in my top 3 to choose. They were not the least expensive, but their total package of product quality, warranty, and service made them my choice. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and made me confident in my choice. The Installation was not very good though. There was a lack of communication and expectation setting. The installation was efficient, but there were a myriad of issues with procedures like: coordinating the inspection, coordinating rebates, and most importantly they affected the monitoring of a previous solar system. They finally heard me and sent a tech out to troubleshoot what happened. They now know how to correct it, but it has yet to be done. This issue is now 4 months old.

iv read very good reviews on the panels but the installation company (seabright solar) is one of the worst companies iv ever dealt with absolute horrible customer service where if you dont keep calling you will never hear back from them iv been waiting over a week for a call back to help set up srec as it was never explained no matter when you call the person you need is on vacation and they will call back next week...my installation was completed 4 months after the estimated install date costing me 4% rebate on $40000 system and it was only installed then because i contacted the electric company to find out sea bright didnt complete the paperwork and they waited 2 weeks for seabright to contact them at which point they cancelled my meter/transformer upgrade...i can go on and on

From my experience so far the panels themselves have done their job. Sunpower, the company is difficult to get a hold of. The distributor who did the install closed their doors, so I lost the warranty for my roof. I'd like to get my panels cleaned, and have been reaching out to Sunpower. I feel abandoned. Lol

The original order included the battery, but the installation of the panels didn't take this into account. Therefore, when it came time to install the battery, a lot of extra electrical work needed to be done. This wouldn't have been necessary if Tim, the sales person, ensured that all parties were on the same page.

It's really too soon to discuss value until we have had the system in place for a couple of years. Upon completion I had difficulty getting promised documents. After talking to two other solar companies I contacted SunPower based on the high reviews. I gentleman named Breon J came to our house for a survey and quote. He was much more knowledgeable and did a much better presentation. He explained the equipment, benefits, and RUI in great detail. He also helped us fill out the information details needed to be prepared for submission and acceptance. If you are interested in obtaining information about solar, equipment, installation and tax exemptions I would highly recommend you contact him. His quote was much less than the other two that we had received from competitors, and we felt the our decision to proceed was the a good choice. I will update this review following the upfront engineering, installation and results related to lowering our monthly electrical cost.

I have had an exemplary experience with the Blue Raven company thus far. My initial contact with Blue Raven Solar was with my sales representative, Justin, who was extremely personable and answered all of my concerns and questions patiently and thoroughly (even follow up telephone calls that I made). The inspection of my attic was illuminating. I was so appreciative of the inspector informing me (he even took photographs!) of some attic problems (not solar panel related) that I was able to have addressed immediately, thus preventing any structural damage. The installation crew was phenomenal!!! They were extremely polite, VERY respectful of property, and did not leave one piece of garbage/waste behind! I was particularly concerned about the conduit arrangement on my house (which would be seen from my patio) looking like a spiderweb per the original schematics. When I spoke with the foreman, Erick, about my concerns regarding the visual aesthetics, he immediately understood and made adjustments with the conduit arrangement. Now everything is tucked away in the corner and unobtrusive. I am THRILLED ! I am looking forward to reducing my carbon footprint on the environment.

I had the unexpected pleasure of meeting a SunPower representative at my doorstep, which initially left me skeptical given my unfortunate experiences with other solar companies in the past. I had developed a natural inclination to shoo away such salespeople, fearing a repeat of pushy tactics and disappointment. However, this encounter turned out to be refreshingly different. The SunPower representative I spoke with was remarkably composed and professional, immediately setting a positive tone for our interaction. After some hesitation, I decided to give them a chance, with one clear condition: I did not want a pushy salesperson invading my home. To my delight, my apprehensions soon gave way to genuine appreciation.During our appointment, I was absolutely stunned by the level of professionalism exhibited by our solar consultant. It was a stark contrast to my previous disastrous consultations with other solar companies. He patiently provided us with a comprehensive breakdown of the entire process, far exceeding what we thought we already knew. It was evident that he possessed a deep knowledge of the subject matter, answering all our questions and addressing every concern with a genuine expertise that I had not encountered before. Most importantly, he never resorted to high-pressure sales tactics. Instead, he took the time to educate us and guide us through the decision-making process. What truly stood out was the seamless communication between us and our project coordinators throughout the entire process. The entire SunPower team was incredibly responsive, leaving us with a sense of reassurance that our project was in capable hands. It's worth noting that our project took longer than initially expected, and SunPower's quote was the most expensive among those we received. However, the outcome more than justified the investment. We couldn't be happier with our decision to go with SunPower. It has been two months since our solar system was installed, and we have encountered no issues whatsoever. The system is performing exactly as promised, delivering the expected results with precision. I wholeheartedly recommend SunPower for anyone considering solar solutions. They've managed to restore my faith in the industry, and their professionalism, knowledge, and commitment to customer satisfaction are truly commendable. While their quote may be higher than some competitors, the value they deliver and the peace of mind they provide are absolutely worth it. We went live on our 10.8 KW SunPower Maxeon 435 system on 2/6/23. Since that time we have accumulated -$728 In credits from Eversource, our local CT electric company. This is in stark contrast to our previous average monthly bill of $240…which can reach well over $400 during summer months due to air conditioning and various inground pool utilities. Our SunPower dealer/installer, SAVKAT out of Bristol, CT, have been there for us…not only during installation & startup but along the way fielding our questions. Given the added real estate value, monthly credit accumulation, tax credits & the recent 40% increase in Eversource rates, our break even point has been calculated at <5 years .

We installed the Blue Raven solar system in our home in Apex, NC. The project manager Daniel explained the process nicely and suggested the power required to meet our usage. Daniel follows up on everything to get it done. The project manager helped to get the necessary permissions from HOA and Apex town. The installation team arrived quickly and installed the panels nicely according to the design. The member of the Blue Raven inspection team  Tyler B inspected the installation along with the town inspector. Tyler is an awesome guy who explained the wiring and switching nicely. The good thing about Raven Solar system is that easy to get the finance to install the solar on your roof. I recommend Blue Raven as your solar system provider.
