We moved from Dish to Direct TV, with the promise of getting the same channels that we had with Dish for less money; we do not get the same channels and everytime the wind blows hard, which is often, we lose service.

I was lied to from the beginning. I was asked how many recievers I needed, I said 5, he said ok, when the installer came out, he set up 3 recievers. I called and was told I could get 2 more, but the 5th would cost me 100 dollars. I said no, they said I could get it at a much lower cost, then when the next installer came out, I found out I couldnt get anymore. I told them to get this crap out of my house. I will not use direct or will not recommend it to anyone.

I will be filing a law suit against At&t. I was told my bill would be $105 a month, auto pay, select pay with phone and internet, since November 14, my service have been interrupted 5 times, I have your customer service supervisor stating my name had a * at the end of my name so that is the reason by bill could not be combined together, "that's not my problem, that is a error on your business behalf. I have called At&t 7 times over a hour on the phone each time this is unprofessional. I'm filing a law suit against this company.

There was recently a snow storm in Chicago on the 7th and since then I have been out without Satellite TV with direct TV. I called numerous times and the associates,IT support team were rude and unhelpful. I final spoke to a manger in their preferred client service team and was told the earliest I could be seen was the 27th . I was told someone would call me to escalate the schedule at 9am, Monday the 12th. At this point there has been no one. Direct TV sales a bag of rubbish and lies. I will never recommend them to anyone.

The main problem that I have with DirecTV is that the system does not work if there is even a mild thunderstorm south of you. No signal, no coverage and this is very critical in any location that is prone to sever storms or tornados. YOU WILL NOT HAVE SERVICE!!!! I have a system that is a year old and because of the poor service I am ready to switch back to cable. Another issue I have is the mention faster internet speeds cause it will free up bandwidth. Except that On Demand and recorder playback still use the Internet. If the commercials look to good to be true......they are.

THEY CHEAT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! We signed up for a $59 a month service. After a few month the raise it to over $109. Three different times we have called to argue with them to remove fees we did not sign up for and they went down to around $60. My wife went through all of this on the phone with them 4 months ago and I got my building today and our back up at $105 a month.

These folks are Relentless by the time she was done talking herself down I was going to be able to get everything free. I called in 10 times to be taking off the mailing list I am not interested. There would be no sense in sending me a nondescript Christmas card soliciting me for services seems like AT&T is going down the tubes ever since getting involved with DirecTV it's just not the same AT&T anymore but I can tell you I've had no problems since I switched to Sprint. Sprint. Sprint. Not cool AT&T you guys used to be the best. ?

Good luck returning equipment. My mother was moved to memory care so we discontinued her service. We waited 3 weeks for the return boxes to arrive. The deadline is 30 days. After calling in (again) we were told that we needed to find some boxes and take the equipment to UPS with proof that we are POA, ID's, and the account information. We'll be charged for the equipment since out won't arrive by the deadline but once it's received they will remove the charges. Do I trust them??!! It's enough to make me want to cancel our subscription as well. Really despicable customer (non) service.

Biggest mistake I ever made was switching to directtv. From not getting premium channels free like I was told to incorrect bills to live stream g mot working on laptops. The directtv app does not work on Windows 10 platform. Customer service loyalty rep really does care. You get a "sorry" and theres nothing we can do for you. So here i pay for a service i can not use. No credit, no nothing.

This is worse experience ever. They lie to you to get you to sign up for service then don't follow thru. Was on phone Nov 9, 2017. From 12:17 pm to 2:59 transferred 11 different times and hung up on twice from supervisor that said it was my problem. Finally Las person helped me out. But still not happy with direct TV. I want rid of service after 3 month but they want to charge me $420 to cancel. Not going to pay that or bill till they follow thru on there part.

My direct tv box broke. After being on line with them for a while (they wouldn't listen to what I was telling just kept asking same questions over that did not apply) they finally agreed box was broken. They said they would mail me a new box for $19.95. This is their equipment that broke not mine. I am under contract with them and can not cancel but in order to use it for remainder of contract I have to pay $19.95 because their box broke. They did say it was just shipping and handling but it looks like to me they should be responsible for providing working equipment.

Been with DIRECTV for 21 years. Our bill has gone up to 6x what it was when we started. We never got a free system, ours was in the old day. $600 for system and $200 to install. Then, friends and family with service for only 3-4 years get substantial bill credits to not cancel service yet with 21 years of loyalty they tell us we don't qualify for anything and the best they can do is $5 off per month.

We are due a two year equipment upgrade as part of our service agreement. After an hour long conversation for a simple upgrade, the order was wrong. They tried to talk me into that equipment so they wouldn't have to modify the order. When I refused they cancelled the order and said I would have to start over. I complained on social media. The social media agent contacted me. Over 24 hours later I am still verifying information with the FOURTH person. No closer to resolution. Consider yourself warned.

was with Direct TV for 8 years, constant disagreement with pricing, finally would not work with long time customers, went with another company Dish which is not any better. After leaving Direct receive continuous offers to come back...why the hell did they not offer this when I had them to keep me? They spend a lot to get you back, and they throw in a buyout of $200, sad thing is Dish penalty fee is $500...these companies live to screw ya, asked for another box at one time wanted to charge me $30 to get it told them to keep it where the sun don't shine, (being nice).

GREEDY.....They make commitments that are not kept without arguing with somebody that speaks very poor english. I had Directv when it was Prime Star. We had two homes with DTV, no discount for multiple homes, no senior discount. We are both retired on a fixed income, wife is disabled and TV is our only form of entertainment. There is so much more I could say, but why!!! You dont really care about all these reviews, but we send them any way.

The service went from excellent to terrible and after years of no billing issues it became a major problem. Was charged for equipment I did not have. Was shut off for non payment of this equipment. After it got turned back on they still tried to charge me for it. I cancelled and will never ever have Directv in my home again. Terrible people to deal with!

I really was deeply in Love with Direct TV. I had the premier package, all the premier channels, 4 rooms of service. Then Heartbreak struck. I called one day and requested a HD box/DVR. I was told even if I paid the extra monthly charge for the box , I couldn't get the upgrade unless I signed a new two year agreement. here I am with all of these High Def channels and no high Def. I was really devastated. I had been a very good and loyal customer. So I discontinued my service and went elsewhere.

They lied about transferring service. When I signed up I told them I was going to be moving. I'm not happy with Direct TV at all. My price is now up to $120.00 per month and I don't have any movie channels. Half of the time the signal is bouncing in and out so it can't be watched on local channels. I called for new remotes as mine don't work anymore. I have one that will change channels and was told to go buy universal remotes. The box doesn';t record right, sometimes 2 shows at once. This ad even says I shouldn't pay more than 92.00. As the article says, as long as your " special offer" is in effect, DTV is affordable. Be prepared for sticker shock as you fulfill the remainder of your contract. Before I contracted with them, I compared their advertised regular prices with the ones I was paying to DISH and they were very low. I figured I could afford DTV after the introductory offer expired. I learned that those advertised regular prices were much lower than what they actually charged. Buyer-beware. DTV made me miss my DISH As soon as my contract's up, I'm going back.

When contract time is up, I'm gone. The product works good, but the I've have all kinds of problems dealing with the billing part. Every bill I've gotten so far, I've had to call and get it right. They gave us an amount, when we signed up, but they keep adding to that . It's not the amount the promotion gives you, it's much more. We were told that DirecTV goes out rarely and that On Demand is easy to use. None of that is true. It goes out rather it's raining or sunny and On Demand is impossible to use. When I called to straighten it out, I was told the customer service person had written something else down and there was nothing that could be done. Direct t.v. does not live up to it's promises.but expects you to they promised $200 gift card if you transferred your services, which they conveniently denied, saying wrong code was used, later came up with different reasons. I then cancelled my subscription, and then they demanded that I pay them $300 for cancelling "my contract" I have been paying $30 a month, but they can get away with not living up to their side of their contract. It doesn't treat you fair when installing new equipment. My box tore up and I did not ask for HD because it was 10.00 higher, and we are on a fixed income. They put a Hd box in and charge 10.00 higher each month plus 7.00 extra for insurance. I signed the paper when the work was completed, as always. I called them and they told me that I signed a 2 year contract and there was nothing I could do but pay for HD for 2 years. This is very sad when companies take advantage of elderly people

Increased rates twenty-five cents to four dollars every month. Same old shows every night and every week. Never any new or good westerns or movies All other shows are reruns from years past. Programming horrible. They keep adding and removing channels. They changed my package because the original package I had is no longer available. Supposed to be an improvement, but definitely is not. Never received it even after more calls and more attempts to return the receivers. Now 5+ years later, I have a collection for almost 800.00!
