We moved to a new house and chose directtv as our provider the original deal was great included their NFL option, but once the time was off the price shot up and a lot of the service we had was gone unless we paid more. We switched providers at that point just because of the price. The service was good sometimes went out due to snow on the dish but overall it was fine.

I love Directv. My wife changed to cable a couple of years ago because it would be cheaper and it was awful so we changed right back. I just wish they wouldn't keep having the price wars. We do love Directv though.

I was with DirecTV for a few years. My biggest complaint is the inability to pick channels a la carte. I dont want to have to choose an entire package only to get 2 or 3 channels. As streaming has become a more and more regular practice, it became super easy for me to leave DirecTV and just pay for internet thru someone else and stream the shows I wanna watch. Much cheaper too.

We had Direct TV for a few years and overall the service was good. The only thing I disliked about it was the guide layout, and that I couldn't hide channels completely from the guide menu. In the end, we cancelled because the price went up significantly after our promotional period.

I really liked my DirecTV, but unfortunately the cost of keeping it was just too much. I had been a user for about 8 years and switched from Dish to Direct. The price had become out of range for the convenience of use. We had to cut the cable, save money, and now use streaming services for free or a third of the price of Direct. Sorry Direct wish you could do more in customer retention department.

We really liked Direct TV, mostly for the NFL ticket. They had a couple of really neat features too -- we liked being able to pause one channel, flip to another and then go back to the original channel where it was paused. The reason we switched is price. They kept increasing the price.... by a LOT!

We were once a customer of Directv but a few years switched over to comcast. We never had a bad experience with Directv. The only reason switched to comcast was because they offered a bundle pack with our internet and it was a cheaper route to go.

We used cable for years and switched to Directv. We loved it so much that when we moved locations we kept using their service. It was great but became too expensive. We realized we weren't watching tv as often. Their customer service is great to work with. If you watch alot of tv this is the way to go.

DirectTV has good access to on-demand shows, movies, and sports, and was relatively easy to set up. Not the best TV service I've ever had, but still provides for plenty of entertainment. We got it through our apartment complex, so although I wouldn't pay for it, I'm glad we have it.

We have had DirectTV for 20 years and enjoy it. We like it best for the DVR. It's frustrating that with this many chanels, there is so little to watch. We like clean, PG rated content for adults, not just kids. We tend to watch PBS and the British shows the most and even then are unhappy with some of the explicit content. Clean up the shows!

Over all, Direct TV has been a good source for TV programming. Lately there service on local channels has not bee that great. For some reason they can not get KSL a local channel here in Salt Lake. Other then that its a good source for TV service.

I really like the availability to receive satellite tv because I am unable to get any channels with just an antenna. I get great reception and perfect clarity on my screen. I love that I can record shows and watch them later. However, I do not like that DirectTV was unable to come to an agreement with Channel 5! I am furious I haven't been able to watch shows that I was really invested in. And now, I've missed an entire season! I am not happy at all about that!

Nothing spectacular about Directv but it is still a good option. Reasonable prices and good service. I felt like their packages offered a wide range of channels that other providers didn't. I would recommend to someone looking for a TV provider.

We had DirectTv for about six years. At first, it was great because we got a special deal upon signing up. And, when that would expire, they would give us another deal. But, the price kept increasing to where it was almost double what it was when we began, although we were still getting the same number of channels. Finally, I called and asked if there was any way of getting a price reduction - I'd even be willing to have less channels because we didn't watch most of them. But, there was no way, so we had to cancel it. It became very cost-prohibitive.

I am current customer of Directv, I used to have xfinity before and being honest, I liked xfinity better. I live in a condo and Directv is offered as part of the HOA. They provided without extra cost a receiver that the image is not good and a limited number of channels. I wish at least, the receiver was HD quality, and they charge for each thing that you try to add to your account.

I have never used DIRECTV, but I worked for a authorized retail dealership and was impressed with the customer policy. Being on the inside, I got to see that AT&T (owner of DIRECTV) really wanted to save their customers money and was very accommodating. It seemed like most customers were satisfied with the service and packages they recieved.

Have had it in the past. Would rather just stick with Netflix because I don’t watch a lot of games or tv and it’s really expensive to watch. Can’t justify being locked into a contract or spending that much when everything I watched can be streamed.

My family has used directv for about 6 years now and I really love it. They have a lot of channel options and it’s really easy to set up and use. I would highly recommend directv, and I liked it much better than xfinity, comcast, and dish network, all of which I have tried and didn’t like as much as directv.

I have been a Directv customer for over 15 years now. The service has been incredible. Any time I have had an issue they have been prompt in repairing in fixing it. While the price can be a little more than other companies, their offerings are a step above all others.

I have enjoyed direct TV for the movie collection, I wish that they weren't so expensive to rent. We have also been affected by the KSL argument with has been frustrating because we pay for that channel. I understand that they are in an argument but I wish they would realize that it's effecting all of their clients. Other then that Direct TV is good.

We have had so many TV providers over the years, really just wanting the initial low cost package they give to new customers, and they offer you those lower prices again when you call to cancel. It would be really nice if those prices would stick around for long term customers too. I would then be a life long DirecTV customer!

We have been subscribers of DirecTV since 1996. The service has been great although it has gone downhill a little since they were bought by ATT. Their customer service used to be steller but since the buyout we now have to deal with them constantly trying to sell us additional products and services when calling them for any reason.

It has everything you can imagine and the customer service is solid. You can find the package you want and there is shortage of channels. When you sign up, the first year is a steal. However, with a two year commitment, they get you in the second year when the discounts go away.

Just horrible service. Direct TV is constantly increasing their fees for less. I have basic cable with practically no channels and paying a $100 a month. The service when I call for support is horrible. Always an hour plus on the phone. One can now easily get the same channels Direct TV has for free with Roku. I am just about ready to quit direct tv.

They think we are stupid by blacking out Fox News in the Bay Area by saying some BS about the local channels not offering Fox but we all know it is a way of blocking conservative issues. Do not need this service any more. We only stream and so we dropped them about 2 years ago after having them for over 20 years. They did not care, and did not offer me anything to stay. I liked the platform and th ease with such you can use their service but it was expensive and most shows now are on apps now. This high cost service is just not needed anymore.

My experience with Directv was not good. The tech they sent out to install was not professional at all. He arrived late and was a little hung over, which I did not discover until after he was done. The service never worked correctly so they had to deactivate after 3 days.

DirecTV is by far the worst TV service I have ever had in my 60 years of life. Nothing works right, I mean nothing. Even the package prices are wrong. If you're watching something and want to go back to resume, well, the resume is starting back over from the beginning of what you already saw. Saving football games it may save 3 quarters but the 4th quarter it never records. You can't even put lipstick on this pig to make it look better. This is the worst TV service that has ever been on Earth!!!

We've had directv for over 20 yrs. I the last yr we have lost the signal to the minis every month for the last six months! I have to spend an hr with tech support to correct. Finally they send me a new box. Have to spend another hr connecting minis. Tech support is great! But for almost $250 a month for service that isn't consistent? If it goes out again im canceling my service and going to Comcast! Im fed up!

I had DirecTV for 18 years and they just kept going up on the price. I cancelled in February 2023 and called in May to see when they were going to send the credit balance for the account and was told in another month or so. I called back 7/25/23 and have now been on the phone for over 20 minutes waiting for the person to "process" my return although they have at least verified for the 2nd time that I sent all of my equipment back. Do you think I would have my DirecTV service if I didn't pay for 5 months????

I stuck with DTV for a long while. they promised. promised!! $99 for a year when I asked to be disconnected, it was a little while later it went up to $109, $127 then $143. That's when I bailed. No real channel selection a lot of fluff I'd never watch. I detest the dishonesty and greed. No wonder people are dumping cable the scam is running full bore. I will never trust them again, ATT is as bad. Dangle the carrot then watch it grow live a weed.

They had a lot of channels for the price. However, the picture of constantly started going out… In and out especially during rain. We decided we were not happy with them and chose to go to Spectrum. They would not and have never removed the satellite attached to the roof of our house. We asked numerous times and they said no every time. The satellite is still there.
