I had DirecTV for 18 years and they just kept going up on the price. I cancelled in February 2023 and called in May to see when they were going to send the credit balance for the account and was told in another month or so. I called back 7/25/23 and have now been on the phone for over 20 minutes waiting for the person to "process" my return although they have at least verified for the 2nd time that I sent all of my equipment back. Do you think I would have my DirecTV service if I didn't pay for 5 months????

I stuck with DTV for a long while. they promised. promised!! $99 for a year when I asked to be disconnected, it was a little while later it went up to $109, $127 then $143. That's when I bailed. No real channel selection a lot of fluff I'd never watch. I detest the dishonesty and greed. No wonder people are dumping cable the scam is running full bore. I will never trust them again, ATT is as bad. Dangle the carrot then watch it grow live a weed.

They had a lot of channels for the price. However, the picture of constantly started going out… In and out especially during rain. We decided we were not happy with them and chose to go to Spectrum. They would not and have never removed the satellite attached to the roof of our house. We asked numerous times and they said no every time. The satellite is still there.

The service itself was acceptable - overpriced but acceptable. Be very cautious and clear when you decide to stop receiving DirectTV service. Do not use the word 'suspend' but only use cancel, even though the equipment has been returned and you can no long receive the signal, they will continue to bill you.

ZERO - THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY. Cancelled my service because the customer service was horrible, now when I call to get a copy of my bill I get the run-around and eventually cut off - I have not gotten a final bill in 3 months and I will not pay it until I get my final bill. When I canceled, I was told I was paying for my services up to the termination date. Now they are telling me I owe them money, but still no final bill - there should be no final bill since I was paid up to my termination date. THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE RIP-OFF.

I have had Direct TV for more then 20 years. Increasing fees and costs, poor programing and tons of reruns then, things started going further down with them as they become political. They can not help it, it pays well for them. Keeping liberal channels that have such small audiences while silencing other voices. Supporting Democrats on the backs of the Conservative viewers. I have terminated my service with them and am looking for alternatives to ATT. Companies should just run a fair, honest respectable business, let go of the politics.

I will not be forced to watch propaganda on mainstream media! Found all the channels I want without censorship on FUBO, saved me 100$ a month as well. I’ve been with DIRECTV since 2001. Over the last few years her support has gone way down tactician came out and said he couldn’t get up on my roof to fix my TV. It was against their policy. With streaming and high definition antennas you are much better off stay away from DIRECTV. After all these years, they wound up, still screwing me in the end. I will never go back I could care less wether they stay in business !

Worst company ever. Wasted 10 hours trying to get them to add a package and they told me tech support needed to do it. Tech support didn’t show up two times. The third time he showed up and said that there was nothing he could do, that it had to be added in house. Also, after the dish was installed there was no signal and my 89 year old mother went without TV until several days went by and I could get a friend to help.

Went to streaming. Why should I pay for days of no service due to snow? Why should I pay over $120 a month for basic service when you include their rentals? Streaming is half the cost with a good youV or Hulu. Now the problem is what to block their incessant harrassing phone calls that have gone on for a year. They really need to be punished since they go around all the no calls and blocking attempts.

Ordered direct tv streaming, internet and a land line from AT&T. They didn’t include the land line on the order, so I cancelled the entire order the next day. Now AT&T says I owe them $120 for the service. They never provided any service. Called them to try to resolve the problem, and found out they they gave the $120 to Affirm for collection. Dishonest company that is only interested in money, not customer satisfaction.

I'd give a zero if I could. Constant outages during any storm no matter how light. Customer service reeks it's so bad. We were just told it would be mid November before our dish could be serviced (today is Oct 3rd). Don't be fooled by the 100s of channels. Many channels are duplicated x 4. We were told it's $440 to cancel service before the 2 year contract is up. Worst company we've ever dealt with! DON'T DO IT!

Waste of Time and Nothing to Show for It! Spent a ridiculous amount of time on the phone with them scheduling cable service for my property. Told them numerous times that we are in a very wooded area and they checked numerous times and said not a problem you’re fine. Five minutes after the installer came out he said that we were not fine and could not have service due to so many trees. Wasted so much time on the phone and then a week before installation. Complete incompetence. Terrible!

I have been a customer since 2008 and their ability to support what they have sold us has gone down the toilet. I will be shopping around for a different company - one that sends their technicians when they say they will (our appointments have been cancelled 2 times "due to technician capacity" and have been out of our satellite connection for 2.5 weeks). Their programming is inconsistent when I access it online and their technical help is around the world and mostly unable to help. The service has really really declined.

Been with directv for more than a decade have always had the basic package so like all suppliers they offer hundreds of junk channels and end up watching about 15 channels. Initially pricing starts low and ends to expensive for 15 channels. With in the time we have had directv twice they tried to claim that we missed a payment 3 months prior and both times we have had the bank investigate our records that proved the payment was made

Wife got suckered into a deal by a lady at Costco. We switched over everything - tv / internet/ and cell service. Since then , it has been an absolute nightmare. Just spent 67 minutes on the phone with a supervisor in Idaho ( Im in Fresno Calif) - at the end, nothing accomplished. I have to call back in the morning and schedule the 3rd tech to my house appointment. I could type hundreds of words on what has happened - hours on the phone etc. Just please, take my advice and do not do business with Direct TV - you will be as sorry as I am if you do.

😡Direct TV is the worst…We have had Direct TV since 2015 and automatically withdrawn from our bank account. Our service has dwindled from a premium package to the basic package over the years. The price however has increased. Terrible Rude customer service. When we told them to cancel the service, we are being told they are charging us until the 27th of this month. Think twice before using Direct TV.. I definitely do not recommend them. 😡😤🤬

Direct tv is awful, with commercials, I'm going back to fire tv where a person can see what they are getting and no "slight of hand". Beware, they say one thing and do something else. I cancelled Dish TV because they dropped NESN which carries the Red Sox and Bruins games, and ordered DirectTV that does have NESN. Satellite Dish installation was scheduled for the next Saturday between 8-12. Waited all day, no call no show. Called 800 number rescheduled 3 more dates, still no call show, not even an email or text confirmation or cancellation. Terrible service for what I though was a reputable national company, stay away!

Since ATT purchased Direct TV they have completely ruined the company. You would have to be an idiot to use this company there service is non existent. and there billing department has no clue. Their communication with their staff shows how bad they are even in talking to the field workers alone it will give you a clue to go another direction! Too expensive. Doesn't work well under certain weather conditions. Horrible customer service with AT&T. We thought we had canceled only to find out that we had not been canceled because they kept billing us. We started getting emails from ATT showing our bill but when we clicked on the "view your bill" it took us to our phone bill and never showed us the DirecTV part so we couldn't tell what was happening. Trying to get to a human to figure it out was a nightmare. Now we are out a lot of money for a not so great service we were not receiving. They claim we never canceled. We know we did.

This is an awful company to deal with. You get people that don't know what they're doing and have to leave you on hold multiple times to ask someone else what they're supposed to do and then they nickle and dime you for everything. When the service guy set up my service, he TOOK the roku stick from my TV and the company never did anything about it. Then they gave me a remote control that had a problem with the volume button. When I tried to take care of it, they kept me on the phone for over 30 minutes and then tried to charge me for a replacement.

I canceled my services March 3rd. I was told by their customer service that I have a zero balance and that I don’t owe anything. I turned in my equipment on March 4th. I received an email on April 8th stating that I owe $118. I called and they said that if you cancel your account they don’t send you any bills and that they don’t reach out to you. You won’t know that you owe anything until it’s in collections. The manager told me that she’s not sure why I received an email stating that I owe money because I shouldn’t have. They are scammers. Don’t get their service.

I called on January 29th to cancel my service because they increased my bill by over $30. They told me that I could not cancel it because it was paid one month in advance so I would have to pay and cancel it next month. Then once it was cancelled they charged me for it again and said that I owed for last month! So I had to pay for it in February and in March when I called to cancel on January 29th. The worst thing I ever did was combine att and directtv!

Their customer service are lier’s so don’t trust them!! Today they told me the Loyalty dept. could wave the early cancelation fee since I was unhappy about my monthly tv bill going up to $190.14 per month. I signed up with Spectrum and called them back a few house later and was told I was told incorrectly and had to pay a $190 cancellation fee! Asked to speak to a supervisor who was no help as well. Paid the $190 and vowed to let as many people as I can how bad their customer service is. Don’t trust them!!

Switched from Dish to Directv. Was told would get $150 reward for switching. Went to enter request and reward was there but, said needed to attach copies of Dish bill. Had to request as paid auto-pay. When went in to complete when got copies of dish bill in mail, it was not there. Talked on Chat and called Directv. They said SORRY! Would not do anything. My wife had told me not to trust them and not to switch. Should have listened to her!!!!!

Trying to disconnect from Direct Tv is a nightmare! Even if you do everything correctly , if they owe you a refund , our experience is - you’ll NEVER SEE IT. Disconnected 6 months now and owed a refund of $53.63 . Did everything they asked. STILL waiting on that refund!! Have called so many times , I’m over it. Most calls took 4hrs of talking to various representatives only to be told , yup we owe you money, yup we processed a request . No we don’t know why you haven’t gotten it . Just keep waiting!

Folks, you just don't want to do business with AT&T/Direct TV. I cancelled my account (to go to a reputable streaming service), sent in my equipment as instructed and was then told I was responsible for the reminder of the month despite the fact I was not using their service. This was also after they raised the monthly bill. Expect a language barrier when calling billing support (if you expect English). So I paid the bill to avoid the hassles of what they will to to your credit rating. I do hope I can affect people's decision on choosing AT&T/DirectTV. Just don't do it!!!

Their connection is amazing but their fees are atrocious and they' always try to sucker you in with deals and promotions but all of their hidden fees and monthly changes are absolutely insane! They offer three month promotions ,then they sneak the payment in your bill every month. On the last month of the promotion without it ending they put it on your bill and then claim they will take it out on the next month's bill. In the meantime they increase your bill too. Don't accept any promotions from them. If it's a promotion why are they putting it in your bill?

The product itself is good. I pay extra each month for service if I should need it, but I have had very little satisfaction with getting it. A technician was scheduled to come between 8 and 12 p.m. and they cancelled saying I didn't answer my phone. This happened 5 times in a row. My cell phone log showed NO phone calls from the technician, and after taking time off work to be home all those times, I finally gave up. I had a friend that is a technician for another company come in and fix it. The service is VERY POOR.

Just cancelled direct tv after over 20 yrs with them..they had been reaching out to me to work out a better deal for me. I finally had time today and the best they could do was to offer me cellphone service!??? I have had premiere packet the entire time and Belle the customer rep said I should call at the end of month amd ask again. Did not allow me to speak to a supervisor. I guess loyalty has an expiration date like they say.. I feel good in my decision, ATT has ruined Direct TV customer service.

Wish I could have gave them a 0 rating. I was a very loyal customer for over 14 years paying nearly 200.each month which was extremely high so I found a new company with better rates. The day I had my new service installed we disconnected the direct tv and called them and cancelled so now their saying I still need to pay them for the month I didn't have their services and they have turned me into a collection agency for 177. I tried to dispute it but they still want me to pay for services I didn't have

If I could give 0 stars I would. The service is crap. Customers service is even worse. They lie and say and do whatever they can to get me off the phone. I was offered a 155.43 credit on my account which miraculously disappeared 2 days later with no record of said credit. Their solution was to offer me a $76 credit after 3 hours dealing with them on the phone, I cancelled . Especially since it was their equipment that was crapping out for the month. If you are looking for service....run as far and as fast as you can from this shady company!

I've been a loyal customer since 2003. My monthly bill increases yearly. There are no incentives for being a loyal customer. Once you're locked in, they will continue to gouge you. Depending on who you talk to will depend on your answer. I've received 6 different answers, talking to 6 different people in 2 months. The most recent lie was to call today for the best price, to find out that was a complete lie again.

I would allot less that 1 star if possible. I cancelled services with these clowns in January and they kept billing me for months. I called almost a dozen times to try and resolve this and was told each time they would take care of the incorrect billing. Nope - they then charged my credit card ... I contacted fraud and had the charge reversed and they sent me another bill. Real true incompetents - BAD COMPANY. Avoid at all cost. JUNK SERVICE and terrible customer support.

I have been with Direct TV for over 20 years and when AT&T took over prices jumped and programming declined. I am on SS and disabled and have the least expensive package which is mainly infomercials and the same repeated reruns . In the last 2mos. they have removed 5 of the few channels I watch without any notice. They no longer provide a decent programming line and charge outrageously for the packages they offer. I will be changing providers as soon as possible.

After 2 years with Direct TV, I was tired of seeing my bill continue to go up overtime. We decided to cancel. I canceled on April 17th. I just received a bill dated April 14-May 13 for the full monthly amount. I called and was told that they wont prorate the bill and would be responsible for the full month. So I am paying close to $200 for 3 days of service! Very poor customer service Direct TV/AT&T. As a result of how I was treated, you will be loosing me as a mobile phone customer too!

Absolutely the worst company to do business with. It is literally impossible to cancel this service without a penalty. They continually push the minimum cancellation date and make up things like 'you ordered new equipment' within 2 years (which I absolutely DID NOT). ANY changes you make to your account pushes the no penalty date out 2 years. I specifically waited 2 years to cancel and then got told it was another year out. BS!!! I will be posting this anywhere and everywhere I can.
