Had a good experience just didn't like the equipment attached to the house and where it was placed made it difficult to work when it snowed as it was covered.

I used DIRECTV for a short period of time. I was not happy with the cost for the package that I desired. I had no problem with the service. I just found them to be expensive.

Overall we are satisfied with DirectTV. The only downside is they are not travel friendly for full-time RV travelers. I do get tired of paying for all the sales and reality TV channels.

Poor reception has always been an issue with DirecTV. Recently the box in the bedroom and living room were synced so you couldn't watch separate channels in each room. During snow storms we always had an issue with bad reception and having to go outside to scrape off.

We have used DirectTV for awhile now and actually getting ready to cancel our services. Their customer service is very poor, their channel packages are terrible and they are pricey for what you get. There are so many garbage channels.

DirecTv worked pretty good for my family. The only thing was there were a ton of Channels we didn’t have. We also had lots of problems with it actually working and the picture being good.

I honestly hate DirectTV. Ever since they were purchased by AT&T there policies and procedures for customer service are the absolute WORST! And they weren’t great to begin with. If there was any other reasonable way to have access to ESPN where we live I would absolutely refuse their services. It makes me nuts that I give this company a ridiculous amount of money every month for garbage programming and terrible customer service.

Over priced with quite a few outages. During the time we had DirecTV it seemed like the reception was bad or completely out an unusually high number of times. Their customer service is good but I don't have much good to say about the product.

We signed up at Costco to switch to Direct TV. They offered good deal. I had to call few times because we had a problem with our box and couldn’t see TV which was inconvenient. But they helped me over the phone to fix it. They also gave me a discount when our contact ended so we stayed with them.

The DirecTV service worked well for us for several years and we liked the up-time and consistency of the service. We eventually cancelled the service because of cost. Like many other companies, DirecTV will increase your rates the longer you are a customer which is the opposite of what one would think they should do for loyal customers. If you call the cancel service, they will offer you the rate of brand new customers, but that got old... year after year.

My wife and I were DirecTV customers for nearly 12 years. The customer service was great. The reason we stopped is that they kept increasing their prices. We decided to cut the cord and save money.

We have been with DirectTV for 13 years. We've never switched even though the service/reception is spotty at times and the receiver boxes seem to not function well. The channels we want are offered on their basic plan and I'm able to get a decent deal which is why we stay.

When we moved, DirecTV promised that we could maintain our current rate for 24 months. The bill literally doubled. They said that they had no record of the communication and refused to honor it. Further, they stated that it was $150 to move. We were charged $200. The previous statement was argued again. Further, they continue to charge us an additonal $7/month for a box that we are not even using. We don't have that many TVs in our home. Finally, we were told again and again that they will do absolutely nothing to work with us. We may pay the $770 cancellation fee and find another provider. This is the WORST company. DO NOT CHOOSE THEM.

I think the price you pay for the product is outrageous. The first year is reasonable then it goes up astronomically! However, all their competitors do the same thing so I guess they can get away with it I do like their recording and other features.

Turn on TV yesterday to find no picture, no connection. Went through all the steps; reset button, turn TV off, follow directions on screen. Called customer service , went through all steps again....6 times. They state card expired (had for 5 years) Now they have to send a new card to us, will take 2-3 days. This is the biggest football weekend, paid for the Sunday Ticket too. All they can say is sorry for the inconvenience and we will send card out to replace the inactive one. In the meantime you are "sorry out of luck" for any other help. They will not send out a DTV installer to get it going....but they have the nerve to ask if you want to upgrade your equipment and package....really?! Infuriating. Now it will be at least 3 days without TV..... Connection is very iffy at best, keeps freezing or reconnecting when working.

Direct TV has been in our home for many years. We have switched back and forth some because the price goes up so much after you are a customer for awhile. It would be nice if it was more consistent in price and more affordable and you didn't have to call every year to find a better price. Their customer service reps are usually very helpful.

i took work off early to be home to meet the tech at our scheduled appointment. i waited for an hour and then called DirectTv. they said they don't see that i have an appointment scheduled. i explained to her i did and i have my confirmation info infront of me. she apologized and i got me scheduled, but the Tech couldn't come back out until the next week. this time the tech came a few hours earlier than our scheduled time and i couldn't leave work. i just decided it was too much of a hassle i did NOT want to deal with DirectTv anymore. the second time i called to complain the gentleman did not care that i have to work and can't leave work because they did not keep there scheduled appointment time TWICE!

Direct TV is the best cable service I have used, the recording feature is my favorite part. I do wish they had more packaging options for a more affordable price because there are hundreds of channels we don't need but have to pay for in order to get certain sports channels. Customer Service also needs to step up their game.

In a Sam's store I was at a weak moment, as I did not like my current TV provider so I signed up. I explained what I currently had, TV's, receivers etc and that I wanted that level matched, they said no problem. When they installed the system only half of the receivers were included and the installation was really bad. The crew left wire hanging down in the basement and did not care how they ran the cables. I had to fight with Directv to get my money back and the installer waited a month to come get his dish.

When we first moved to PA we had direct TV. After our contract was up they raised the bill so high. The increase was ridiculous. It was also a nuisance having the antenna on our roof. Whenevet it snowed we got no reception and couldn't watch TV. It was ridiculous.

Right now not one but TWO major network channels are not available because ATT is too cheap to pay for access for DirectTV subscribers. Unbelievably greedy. I had them and then suddenly all programs are gone with a screen explaining that they are trying to negotiate. One has been out for a year, the other will likely be the same.

DirecTV doesn't let you cancel their expensive service until the last day of the billing cycle, even though we called 3 weeks before the end of the cycle. They want to get that last bit of cash out of you.....never again! Going to stream from now on...

I pay the contract for the package, so I expect to get the channels I pay for. So if cbs and direct TV are in a dispute over certain channels and they take that channel out than I should not be paying them. Most of my shows are aired on that channel and I dont get to watch it. So why am I paying for something I don't get to use.
