I signed up for a monthly contract with RIDD as I was having an increase in spiders and palmetto bugs inside and outside of my home. The sales guy told me that Saturdays would be no problem as I am not home during their hours of operation during the week. So I locked myself in a contract thinking that they would be there Saturdays so they could spray inside, since they were doing lawn extractions. I would have never signed up had I known they aren't always available on Saturdays because you see, I was never told that! They started coming on Wednesdays when I wasn't home and only treating the outside of my home and I started noticing an alarming increase in very much alive palmetto bugs in my house, so much so I had to leave and stay with my parents until i could get someone out to treat the inside. I called and complained about this and asked to cancel my contract. The account manager had zero cares about the increase in insect activity, all he cared about was getting my payment and getting the 200 something dollars to cancel my contract. He offered no solution what so ever. I'm livid. I had to pay for another service to come out and treat the live bugs that came into my home after the lawn extraction when I specifically asked them not to do unless the Inside was treated as well, which by the way is what i was paying for (outside AND inside). Then I had to go to bug depot and dump a bunch of money there for PREVENTATIVE treatments, which by the way worked WONDERS. Again, no real solutions were offered, just "how do you want to pay your balance and cancelation fee". And he was quite cocky as well, occasionally interrupting me and saying "ANYWAYS". Very unprofessional.

just as MANY other people have stated across yelp and other platforms, RIDD sends sales reps to lie and reel you into a contract knowing you will ultimately realize their poor service and want to cancel… just to be told they will not cancel your contract without the $249 fee no matter how unhappy you are as a customer, in fact they will actually tell you what YOU did wrong as the customer and offer a measly credit to “fix” the issue. sales reps will give you their number stating to contact THEM with any issues and they will be happy to help… only to be completely unprofessional and keep insisting they let the office know and its the office that’s not doing their jobs… then an account manager will tell you its the sales rep not doing their job and they don’t have any messages from the sales rep so “there’s nothing indicating lack of communication on our end”. This account manager told me I shouldn’t have reached out to the sales rep with the issue so therefore it’s not the companies fault since I didn’t call the office directly… but they had nothing to say when I told them the sales rep specifically told me not to call the office because he was handling it And sending another tech out! Now I’m most likely getting sent to collections over their cancel fee because they refused to do more than give me one month free because they adamantly insisted I haven’t given their services a chance so they will not waive the fee to end the contract; they want me to give their services another chance due to it only being a few months… but who would want to work with a company that has these SCAMMERS as sales reps LYING to customers especially when the account MANAGER had no apologies regarding the horrible service I’ve received and instead continued to make me feel as if it was my fault for trusting the sales rep was handling the issue since I was having trouble calling the office during business hours due to my long work hours, I did however send emails but according to the account manager that wasn’t enough and it’s not RIDDS fault. No accountability or care… only worried about getting paid. I could add a lot more. They will make excuses and insist it’s not their fault they lie and scam by sending their reps to solicit (even in NO SOLICITING communities)

like the eco friendly don't like being ghosted by rep when I have questions - left 2 messaged and texted and no response after 2 weeks. Told the rep we only wanted the 12 month contract - they put us on a 24 month contract now if cancell will get a early termination fee. That is the reason I need the rep that put us in contract to call us. initial tech that came out did a good job. 2nd tech not so good - he missed several areas outside the house (caught on camera) - then when came in house missed several places. I guess I will have to follow them around to make sure they spray everywhere - Places they missed outside - kitchen area - around all outside doors. only sprayed bottom- didn't spray lanai doors - didn't spray walkway attached to house to garage- places missed inside the house. the entire laundry room - half the garage - only did the sliding doors didn't do inside the front door - did do the bathrooms - only did half the hallway - halfway sprayed the office and bedrooms.

Just had a young woman come to our door on her single wheel board. My wife decided to let her in out of curiosity on service and cost of plans vs. what we currently have. She had all the answers even if she was not answering your question directly. Did not have a v Business card, reluctantly gave up a number to call and said we had to make a decision right now. Well, don’t tell me that as it is a red flag right off the start. She was told we would discuss and get back to her. When she realized we would not decide right now she couldn’t wait to get out of the door. Anyone who needs answer immediately I discount them immediately even if it sounds good. Bad way to get new customers.

I signed up for RIDD a year ago. I was not so impressed by the results because I still saw some bugs in the house even after they had been treating for months. However, I was REALLY not impressed by their cancellation policy and treatment. I get it that there is a year contract, no big deal about that. However, I tried to let them know that when my year is up I wanted to cancel and I was put off THREE times. They played pass the buck with my request 100% in a low quality attempt at a money grab. I emailed, I called and talked to someone on the phone twice, then a dude even came to my house (he was doing marketing - he didn't know I was already a customer) so I told him as well. Everyone just said "it's policy" and refused to write down or schedule me to be cancelled. I gave them plenty of opportunities to avoid me writing this review. They claim to be a modern company but are still using seedy old school tactics to try to get that one last charge out of customers. Big customer service fail. For this reason, I cannot recommend them.

Good day to all, for your own good stay away from these scammers 1 star because does not gives the option to none, My experience was this: a person Name Dan N knock on my home door and ask me what pest control company I have, I told him my company name and he replies RIDD was better because the use of their products. I told him was not interested, but he strongly insisted to give them the opportunity and that all he needed was 1 more contract to comply with his quote, I replied again not interested, but he keep insisting and asked what was holding me to give them the opportunity, because some of my neighbors that I never heard the names he mentioned before already give them the opportunity, he told me they will match the price of my company if I accept their service, I told him for the same price I will give you the opportunity, My mistake, Dan N gave me an IPAD to answer some questions, never explain or ask permission to record me in my house, he recorded all my answers in a video without my consent, this company later found out the charge you even if they do not give you service every month and charge another 5 dollars for internet fee that never was told about. When I check my account saw the amount was 250.00 dollars higher than my previous company, I called RIDD office and the response was they can't do anything about it, and denied knowing Dan N even though they get all my information using lies and sent me a video taken without my consent by Dan N RIDD sales person answering the questions, I tried to communicate with MR. Dan N but he never answers or replies back, now I will be forced to take legal action against this company that uses illegal practices to obtain homeowners' money this is not fair because if you request the cancellation of the service they will charge you another 250.00 dollars for cancellation. This was my experience with RIDD pest control, not an honest company to do business with. only service the house once and I had to be telling the guy what to do. Thank you good day.

DO NOT DO SERVICE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! This company is an absolute nightmare. They will tell you everything will get worse before it gets better. Do not believe them because it NEVER gets better. They have now come out FOUR times in the last 2 months. Everything has been getting worse to the point that we do not go out and enjoy our backyard anymore. The mosquitos are worse, we have more wasp hives now forming on our house, we have beetles everywhere, spiders have increased, and NOW fire ants. We have more problems now than when the service started. I regret getting this service. Tried to go outside today to play with my daughter and we both got attacked by fire ants. When I called to say I had enough and they did not perform a service that they guaranteed they STILL tried to charge me the cancellation fees as I am listening to my daughter crying in the back from the ant bites. Do not be fooled by this company. They guarantee a product that does not work and only makes things worse. Absolute waste of money! I would give zero stars if I could.

This review is concerning their business practices. I had a RIDD employee come to my door yesterday (8 June) after 5. I politely told the RIDD employee that we weren’t interested and that solicitation was not allowed in our neighborhood (Part West, Mt Pleasant). The RIDD employee became argumentative and, when I told him to leave, he smirked at me and looked at me like “what are you going to do”. I shut the door as he continued to stand on my porch. After he left I drove to get the license plate number of the RIDD truck to contact RIDD. The only vehicle in our small subdivision was a private pick up. I asked the driver if he was with RIDD and he replied “no”, but then quickly left the neighborhood. I drove out to the main road and there were no vehicles. I went back to the neighborhood and found that other neighbors had the same issue with this RIDD employee refusing to leave their porch, being rude, belligerent and ugly. I contacted the company but as of today have not heard back. The company was closed so I don’t understand why they have no way to contact a representative if they have RIDD employees working after hours. I see from previous reviews that this seems to be a continuing issue with this company

Terrible company! Stay away. I let them service my property for a year. I still have all my original problems. Their salesmen are liars. My salesman gave me what he said was his personal phone number but when I called him the number was active but he did not answer and had no voicemail. He promised me no money would ever be taken from my account until after a service was performed. LIAR. They take your money every month whether they did a service or not. When their techs do come they look like they are doing professional work but actually do nothing. If they are actually using a chemical then it doesn't work. Then when they are done they actively send you messages asking for a tip. If you do not send one they ask again. I asked one of the techs about this. He said they are so poorly paid they need to do this for the extra income. Also you will never see the same tech twice. They get paid so poorly they do not stay with the company. In one whole year of service with them I never saw the same tech return. Always new people. There is no local office that you can talk to so you have to call Utah. They make appointments with you and then cancel or don't show up. You have to call them to reschedule. But they still take your money like clockwork. I called customer service in Utah and explained my concerns to the girl. She didn't care about anything I said. I asked to speak with someone hire than her she said I couldn't and the owners don't care about the day to day workings and that that was her job. I told her that I was hoping to not have to resort to writing bad reviews about them but she said to write what ever I wanted they didn't care. What kind of customer service is that! I can see from some of these reviews that I am not the only one having problems with this company BE FORWARNED, STAY AWAY

READ THE FINE PRINT. They’ll show up at all hours of day and night via segways with what sounds like a promising service. Under the impression I would pay quarterly for quarterly service, I took the chance by signing the contract in the dark on a rain covered tablet. Crazy, right? They will push these “free” re-services that you are actually paying for each month. If you are going to charge monthly, do the service monthly. This nonsense of paying for access to “re-service” is a farce. All told, after initial treatment, first month and cancellation that got more $$ out of me than if I had received no discounts at all. It’s like they want you to cancel. The value proposition is low here. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

We also were able to review the welcome call that was completed that states the billing frequency and service frequency. Terrible company, they lie to you constantly, and are not someone I would ever recommend. To expand; last year they showed up to pitch a sale at my door and provided false information regarding the contract. I was told it would be until the end of 2022, and I also signed this, however, this was false information. I was also advised that I would be charged for the months they came, and this was also false information. When I went to cancel in January of 2023, as we weren't sure if we would need the service this year, we were advised that there would be a $200+ cancellation fee. Obviously I've been paying monthly because I didn't have $200 just lying around on top of other expenses. Through the multiple times I've been on the phone with them, they had been ignorant and not understood what my issue was, and when, the one time we had a nest appear by the front door, they told me that it was "nothing to worry about," despite seeing the wasps flying in and out. Ultimately we had to take care of it ourselves, despite multiple people in our home having allergies.

A door to door salesman from this company approached me at the edge of my open garage on a Segway, while I was working inside. He didn't listen to me when I told him that I wasn't interested in his services. He spoke over me in an argumentative manner, and refused to leave for several moments. My neighborhood does not permit soliciting and there is signage at the entrance. My front door also has a no soliciting sign, which Hayden - the "salesman" - would have known if he had bothered to approach my door and knock instead of invading my garage space. I was very upset about his intrusion for the rest of the day. I will never support any company that employs door to door salespeople.

We signed up and without my knowledge, was part of an 18 month program. If I cancelled early, I'd have to pay an additional cancellation fee of $200. My first service was great. All other services, they notify you they are coming out with 24 hour notice. They come during the middle of the day so normal working people can't be home so they don't spray the inside of the home. They never asked for a gate code, so they only sprayed the front yard. My backyard, which is where my child plays and was the whole reason for the service was still getting bitten by fire ants. When I called to cancel the female was extremely sarcastic and rude and then hung up when i said i disagreed with the cancellation fee. NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT USE.

Terrible terrible terrible !!! don't even consider doing business with Ridd Pest Control. They offered their services for $99 a month. when they arrived, they requested $129 and the payment to be made prior to treatment. After a long conversation, they agreed to do the treatment before payment. I paid & they instructed their guy to leave my house. I called to ask what happened and it appeared they made a mistake. Eventually he arrived few hours later and did the pest. When I looked at my credit card statement, I saw 2 charges of $129 each, I called, they apologized and refunded the second transaction. Now, a month later, I see an additional $114.87 charge on my credit card from this company. I blocked them and will definitely not do any business with this type of company. Beware !!!

I am updating!! This is an update on my review written below! This below-zero company started harassing me with a @collector” and I am making a formal complaint with the county for bank fraud since they set up a portal with my name and used a check touting number and withdrew funds until the bank stopped them and returned my money! I had already paid them for three properties …one time with the check and tried to cancel by calling number after number! They are scam artists! A few months ago I called their national number and spoke with another “Kolby” or “Colby” and that person was supposed to be management. He actually apologized and told me not to worry since he cancelled me and there were no charges. I told him that the bank knew if the fraud and that it was also “elder abuse” since bills continued and he said the original “Kolby… was not him. His name was also Colby.. spelled opposite from the one who illegally set up a portal account using my info and stealing from my own personal bank account!!!!! Again he seemed apologetic and I told him that I had an attorney but just wanted to be left alone or I’d sue for multiple damages. I received a cancelled notice from him as he had said I would. I was satisfied until I started receiving bills in the mail and now a bill collector from ARM started calling ! Therefore, I will contact my attorney and have him file against them for bank fraud and elder abuse! This company is horrible and needs to be held accountable for fraud. I am sending this to ARM so they understand the criminal behavior of this company and what they are dealing with. I kept all my texts and bank information from when I met with bank officials after the 3 months of criminally accessing my bank account by using a first check. I refused using a credit card or public portal so they illegally set an illegal access to it all by themselves and never…. Known to me for almost 3 months. I cancelled by phone and no one came onto my property. I cancelled multiple times by phone after the first time and have video surveillance. Stay away from this company in Spring Hill Florida!! They told me that I needed to set/up an online account! I told them no and cancelled by calling. They still came out when I wasn’t home and then they told me I needed to call and cancel again. They they took my routing number from that first check and….. my private banking account and.. Guess What?? They went set up an online account with their own password… then withdrew money from my checking account! The bank saw my texts and saw they opened the on-line account and fraudulently pretended to be me to withdraw funds for my three properties!The bank returned my money and now they tried again… and bank refused them access. I called and warned them again that this time I would sue. They told me that I can’t cancel….. etc. I told them I have an attorney for their fraud and criminal behavior and that my daughter has a tv show, so we will make it known about what they are doing as theft and fraud! I am shaking with anger about how they are operating and I guess I will change my 30 yr old checking account this time, so they can’t try anymore fraud! Hi my name is Angel Morales, I hope that people would read these reviews on here before they do any business with RIDD pest services. I can't explain any better than the first review thats on here everything to the last T of that review happened to me, these people are all about a presentation when they come to your door and then after that its all down hill. I complaint about the second service that the tech was here less than 10 min. and that it really looked like no one had came except that there was a tag on the door, they told me they couldn't come back because i had put in a complaint that i wanted to cancel. I was signed up for every 3 month service but they were charging monthly so they can charge me a convenience fee 3 times instead of charging me every 3 months which made a $20 difference. I called to cancel my services and explained to them that I didn't want any more service to take the last 2 payments prepaid toward the cancellation and they said no that cancelation fee had to be paid separately. I was trying to make sense of it all and talking to the customer service personal was like speaking to a computer just kept on repeating the same over and over . Please for all reading trust me save your money and a really big headache. DONT DEAL WITH THESE SO CALLED COMPANY.

This is accompanied by monthly billing to keep the subscription active and to allow you to call for free reservices, allow access to your customer portal, or be able to call RIDD for any questions or concerns that you have. This is also laid out in your contract. We have customer contracts in order to ensure that we are being transparent in all that we do. As well in the contract, it outlines the early cancelation fee that must be paid separately with your authorization. I do see that your account has been closed. We wish you well in your future endeavors!

Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced! The first few interactions with Ridd were great. The service tech (John) was awesome, he listened to concerns and was very thorough. On my 3rd or 4th service they sent a reminder/scheduling text and although I texted back that I would like my inside serviced they never replied with a time. On the day of, I received a text that the tech had a medical emergency and they would come a different day. Understandable, but at this point I honestly didnt know when they were coming. About a week later a different tech shows up unannounced and from the time he stepped out of his truck until he was done was just under 10 minutes for the entire outside- eves, lights, flowerbeds, shed and garage. (I checked the time on my doorbell cam) I called and explained the situation and asked if John could come back and re-service the outside and do the inside. They said no problem and I thought "Great, all is right again!" No, not only did they not send John, they send the same tech that came before. This time he rang the doorbell and told me he didn't appreciate me complaining about his work and how he was the best tech they had. He couldn't believe I would request John and that he is assigned triple the houses John is. To be honest, I was appalled and upset I had to argue with this tech on my porch. It was completely unprofessional. I called RIDD that afternoon to complain and was told only my Account Manager could help me that she was unavailable and would call me back. She never did. A few weeks later we started having problems with ants, spiders, and wasps like we never have had before. (See attached pictures) I called again and was told the same thing that my account manager was unavailable but she would call me back as she was the only one who could authorize a re-service. Shocker... She never called. Fast forward to the next reminder of service text. I called again and let them know I would like to cancel the service. The guy on the phone said he could cancel the service for that day but only my account Manger could cancel my contract and she was not available but would call me back. Which she never did. Which puts us to today when I received another text telling me my service tech was on his way to my house to perform service. I called and explained the situation but this time insisted I stay on the line until I could speak with the account manager. When she finally came on the line I explained the situation from the begining and suggested that she could remedy the situation with either her refunding me for the last unsatisfactory service or preforming the next service at no charge. She insisted the service that had been provided was up to standard and denied any issues and completly rejected the idea that her service tech did anything wrong. I told her I have the entire exchange on the doorbell cam which she ignored. She just kept telling me the account could be canceled because I was outside of the contract period and there was nothing else she could do. I asked her if she had a supervisor and she stated not one that would talk to you! Ha! I can understand mistakes happening and bad employees. What I can't understand is not standing behind your company and making things right when these things happen.

This RIDD Company from Margate FL, is the worst. Bad at evertything, they didn't show up on the first day , the second time they were late. The guy missed a lot of areas and spots. The ants were back almost right away. There was a lot of rain out so I waited 3 more days to reschedule and they gave an appointment for today between 12-3. Yet nobody showed up. I missed work to be here waiting for them. When I called they said there was no such a thing as an appointment. Suggesting I made it up. And now they told me I have to pay a cancelation fee if I want. Really? You can't cancel a service even when you are totally dissapointed and the service was horrendus.?

Baylor from RIDD pest control a pushy solicitor on a hoverboard came up to my driveway and started to talk to me about their services. I specifically told him i dont need any service because im a new homeowner and dont need anything for now. He really pushed his sales tactics and said no contract and that the first month was free i only needed a credit card and i can cancel anytime. i said i will give it a try. They never serviced the property and i called the company to cancel. i told them that i have cameras all over my property and i have never seen them come out. The supervisor had the audacity to tell me she will cancel but there is a $249.00 cancelation fee. i said he never stated that to me and she said its in the contract. i told her over and over that Bylor never stated that but she didnt understand and kept saying she will cancel for the fee. this is the worst company ive delt with. called my bank and disputed the action. Please be aware of these sales tactics.

Salesman showed up on a segway when I was pulling into my house from work at 4pm. Told him this was and HOA and private property and were not allowed to solicit. Which is posted. He agreed and segwayed away. I was leaving to go to the store and get gas at 845P with my wife. The same salesman was there on the street. I stopped nd told him I reported him to the HOA. He said he was leaving. A vehicle pulled up with 2 other sales reps. I told them that this was posted property. The one reps asked why am I such a jack@$$. I told them I was calling police. The other sales reps said call them and they will laugh at you and tell you about the first amendment. As I stopped away to talk to the dispatcher the reps began staying derogatory comments to my wife. I told her to go home and I waited for police. As we waited for police 2 of the sales reps sid it must be nice to be privelaged to live in a HOA. Police showed up and asked what I wanted done with the trespassing reps. I just wanted them removed and advised not to return without permission. This was done and they were advised of possible charges if they returned without authorization. Do you want this type of person(s) any where near your home.

We had one of your representatives stop by our house in July of this year. After talking to them for a time, and describing what insects we were dealing with i.e. black widows, ants, wasps, beetles and spiders, we agreed to give them a try because they gave us guarantee that they would get rid of everything. they sprayed once in August and have not been back since, but have charges me 53.00 a month with a start up fee of 106.00. We have survellance in and around our house and know when someone has been here. They have not been here since the first time they supposedly sprayed. The thing is if they spayed why were we still seeing insects. I almost was bitten by a black widow, but lucky I seen it first. we have a child with autisum and can not afford for him to get anywhere around insects let alone a black widow. I guarantee they did not spray the house. Furthermore, they have been charging my bank account since August, Sep and October. The bank has been notified and have put a block so that wont happen. I called and spoke to the so called technician, and told him that I was very dissatisfied with their services and for them to discontinue the services as of August. He acknowledged our conversation and said he would note that on my account. I told him why I wanted to cancel the contract and I told him because of their inability to complete and fulfill their part of the contract. We have been harassed by them several times by email and phone. Again, we told them we no longer desire or want their services. We have hired someone else who does their job and also comes back and sprays again when asked. We have also have pictures of this black widow right after they said they sprayed, this company is a rip off they want the money for services that was never done. I will be contacting the BBB and reporting this company for what they are claiming to do but Not doing. They are preying on the elderly people telling them they will do this and that just to get them to sign and believe in them, but not doing a darn thing.

This is the first time I've ever had to call the police on someone. Solicitors came to my house to attempt to secure a contract, I answered the door said "No thanks, not interested." and closed the door. A moment later there's pounding at my door, the same guy...I asked "Do you have money for me? We're not interested and you need to leave." He proceeds to inform me he's not leaving until he speaks to my wife, like some drunken ex-boyfriend determined to fix his past relationship, and I was the only thing between him and happiness. I ask him if he has a contract with signatures, show me some paperwork, anything to validate his refusal. He produces nothing, so, I tell him he needs to leave and if he doesn't I'll be forced to call the police for trespassing, this infuriated him. A heated exchange ensues to which finally, I ask him "Do you want to hurt me or something? You look like you want to hurt me." He answers "Ya know, if I weren't on the job I probably would." I tell him to leave again, probably for the 4th or 5th time. I decide to show him my ID (after being accused of being some random babysitter or something) and let him know that he's "been asked to leave and you must go" -- after a moment and a few more reminders for him to leave, I decided it's best for me to return inside and lock the door. He walks to his truck and sits on the easement for a good 15-20 minutes before returning and pounding on the door again. I remind him several colorful ways that he's not welcomed, and he demands that I call my wife so he can speak to her, to which I pulled up the sheriff's office phone number and proceed to ask for a deputy to arrive and escort him off my property. About 10 minutes later a deputy shows up and tells him that he has no right to act like this and tells him to leave the property. To which he finally obliged and drove off. Definitely a sour taste in my mouth for this company and something to look out for, as I'm 100% positive he was in contact with his superiors multiple times in between interactions. BUYER BEWARE.
