Debt Negotiation Program

Through Turnbull’s debt negotiation program, clients may be able to get out of debt faster than with other programs.

The benefits of enrolling into Turnbull’s program include the following:

Savings — clients may only pay a fraction of what they currently owe
Speed — clients can resolve their debt much faster than if they were making the monthly minimum payments
Affordability — the monthly deposit is usually less per month than the minimum payments

Turnbull’s attorney-represented program allows potential clients a free one-on-one consultation with an attorney before enrolling.

Additionally, clients will receive a licensed attorney to oversee their entire program and clients will have attorney representation if any of the creditors decide to use legal action to collect the debt.

Those who enroll in the program will make monthly deposits into an FDIC-insured Dedicated Account (owned and controlled by the client). As the funds begin accumulating, the law firm will then create a negotiation strategy based on the creditors and amount owed.

Regarding the negotiation strategy and available funds, Turnbull’s attorneys and negotiators will work directly with the creditors to reduce the amount owed. When an agreement is reached, the attorney will present it to their client for approval.

Once approved, funds in the Dedicated Account will be used to pay the creditors and Turnbull’s fees for that settlement. The process is continued until all debts are paid off.

Depending on the situation, the program can last anywhere between 24–48 months.

How does debt negotiation work?

When you enroll in the Turnbull debt negotiation program, you make monthly deposits into an FDIC-insured Dedicated Account that you own and control. As the funds accumulate, we create a custom negotiation strategy based on your particular mix of creditors and debt amounts in order to maximize your savings. Based on your strategy and available funds, our attorneys and negotiators work directly with your creditors to negotiate a reduction in the amount you owe. When an agreement is reached, we will present it to you for approval. Once approved, the funds in your Dedicated Account will be used to pay your creditors and Turnbull’s fee for that settlement. After the full settlement amount is paid, you no longer owe on this debt. We will continue this process until all your debts are resolved!

How long does debt negotiation take?

The program length varies from 24-48 months, depending on each individual’s situation. This is considerably shorter than it would take to pay off a large amount of high-interest debt by making minimum monthly payments.

How much does debt negotiation cost?

We work with you from the beginning to make sure the monthly program deposit is one you can afford. Your monthly deposit includes estimated settlement amounts as well as legal fees and service costs. The settlement fee is a percentage of your enrolled debt.

I like the CC reduced balance amount negotiated each time, and the fact that I have one paid off and another is just about paid off. Customer service has always been very knowledgable and heplful. Now, what I don't like are the fees. I haven't done it yet, but I'm going to add up all of the fees which amount to several thousands of dollars. Your fees get paid first (which consumes several of my deposits to you) before the cards get paid down. In addition, you have a 28% interest structure which is the same amount as the cards I'm trying to get rid of?

If i could give a '0' I would. They told me to stop paying my 2 credit cards. I did. I was never late once before so my credit score plummeted. I accrued close to $10000 with payments to Turnbull and they still had made no phone calls or attempt for communication with my credit cards. I ended up being sued for the first time in my life because Turnbull made no attempt at communication. I should have just gone to court myself because Turnbull took all the credit for coming to a settlement that took $8000 off of my original debt then they turned around and took over $6000 out of the account for "legal fees", that was supposed to go toward the second card, which will now never get paid through them because they want over half of the amount due before they make contact with the company. Save yourself time and just talk directly to the credit card company. Turnbull will rob you.

I am relieved and thrilled with this program. I was dealing with such anxiety and I no longer have those feelings because we are dealing with this together. Yes, my credit rating took a nose dive but it will come back up as we complete the program. I read such negative comments about National Debt Relief but you cannot go into debt and expect a free ride. They work with our creditors, reduce the amount owed, then come up with a payment plan. It a group effort and it really works. I would not have been able to accomplish this on my own.

The best decision for me. I very well could have gone bankrupt, easily…I lived off credit cards when struggling… 2 young children & my disability, I was able to pay my bills every month, good credit…although the disability gets worse w/age & all the chaos in life, very hard to let go of some things that was keeping me stuck, as as well educated woman I felt this was the best route for me. I pride myself in making this decision, Turnbull brought my balances down & auto pay monthly, One less thing to worry about & less stress on my plate. No more phone calls! Extra money to pay towards on going medical treatment. I do not worry each month, I know they r taking care of it! I’ve come close to doing a bankruptcy many times, I had good credit, it’s down now, but will show prior years, I was always on time. Thank you TURNBULL

Getting started with my Debt Consultation was a easy process. I was informed about how it works, step by step, as in how long it's going to take to be debt free. Very professional intake, there was no rush, answered all my questions that I had. Went over my monthly payment and made sure it would be affordable for me. The lawyer was very patient made sure I understood the process. In how it all works , my debt, monthly payment . I could go on and on. I'm just glad I made this big decision to fix my debt versus bankruptcy. Im able to reach out to them at anytime . Responses are quick. They keep me informed on what they are doing on my debt relief. I'd give them a HIgh 5!!!

To start, I was quite possibly the biggest skeptic of this program when I enrolled with Turnbull. Here is the back story. . . I got myself into a hefty amount of credit card debt to the point I was drowning in it. I reached out to a loan provider whom I had worked with before but unfortunately, I did not qualify for a loan this go-around. The individual I spoke to informed me of my two options - either enter a debt relief program or file for bankruptcy - I chose the debt relief program. Being a resident of Virginia, I was matched with Turnbull Law Group. I was very scared to proceed with Turnbull as the thought of litigation was terrifying. In addition to this, I was very skeptical of this being a program that would actually help. I was under the impression that this was a scam and I'd be paying way more money than what I owed. A few weeks after beginning the program, I tried to get out due to fear of what was to come. The gentleman I spoke with in customer service encouraged me to stick with the program for at least a while longer and that if after a month or so I wasn't happy, I should call back and they'd close the program for me (full refund). Because I was unsure of a backup plan, I decided to heed that gentleman's advice and boy am I glad I did. I've been in the Turnbull program since January of 2023 and I just had my first settlement agreed (June 2023) for 50% of what I owed to the credit card company! Quite honestly, I could not be more happy with Turnbull and the work they are doing on my behalf. This program has taken a tremendous amount of stress off of my shoulders and I'm so thankful for that. Looking forward I still have two more accounts that need to be settled but I know that in due time, the same fortune will come my way. As far as communication with Turnbull, ALL of my interactions have been positive and efficient. The folks in customer service are kind, generous and non-judgmental. They make you feel valued and cared for. One of the keys to guaranteed success in this program (as I've found) is adding additional funds (when possible) to your monthly deposit. I've used the snowball method where I'm throwing as much additional income towards this program as possible. This has really been a big help and helps settlements happen faster. Folks, don't second guess yourself like I did when entering this program. It is well-worth it and you WILL be taken good care of! (Only downfall is that your credit score will take a hit but it's something that can be improved once your settlements are reached - my score jumped 20 points after my first settlement - brighter days are ahead!)

Let me just say that Turnbull Law Group has made this an easy process for me. I had close to $20,000 in debt due to various reasons, such as job loss and poor health. After 1 year in the program all of my debts have been settled for a minimum of 50% less than what I owed. I haven't missed one payment and I am now down to just under $5000 left owed. To those that stated your credit score dropped...turnbull explains this to you in the beginning. My score dropped significantly for a few months but its been steady climbing back up for about 6 months. I can't thank you enough Turnbull Law. You have changed my life.

Our experience with Turnbull has been a very positive one. We are one year into our four year program, and have been able to significantly increase our payments with the goal of ending the program early. Don’t be shocked after Turnbull negotiates your first settlement, and you see a chunk of the funds you’ve deposited go to then as a fee - Turnbull has been able to negotiate many of our accounts down to 50% or so of the balance that was due. They will take a fee with each settlement, but it is all calculated into the scheduled deposits so that you will never have a bill. There are better ways to get out of credit card, payday loan, or other debts, but this option is for those that are far enough down the debt road that the only other option is bankruptcy. Communication with Turnbull ha also been outstanding. I’ve never had any issues with getting a hold of anyone and getting any questions answered.
