Very Thankful to this company I started my program October 2023 and I graduated just last week October 16 , 2024, I am debt free now! Thank you Turnbull! Wow!Its amazing!

They are all about what I want to do with my money and helping me save money by negotiating with the creditors so I won’t have to pay the high interest rates.

If you have alot of debt it will take awhile. But it probably didn't occurred overnight. Eventually it be worth it. It will be alot longer trying to do it on you own.

They have helped me so much , and this program actually works ! They settle every account and my credit is getting up there now . Very happy with them !!!!

PLEASE READ BEFORE GIVING THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. I reached out to a company called Freedom Debt Relief in an effort to reach settlements with my creditors, and to achieve “financial freedom.” Freedom Debt uses Turnbull Law Group to receive customer payments, and do the negotiations. That is who my complaint is about. I have been in a program with them for 9 months. I’ve paid $228 semi monthly, totaling just over $4,200. 11/15/23 I was laid off unexpectedly, but had enough funds from severance to get me to January 2024. I called just before the first of Jan, to pause my auto drafts (as I no longer had funds). I was told this was done and to call back when I could make payments. Great. That was so far from the truth. Auto draft continued 1/15, and my bank account was negative. So I call today, 1/31 to turn it off yet again. I was finally informed that I have to call 72 hours before each draft to turn each payment off, and that I’ll have to call my bank to do a stop payment on this particular payment, so I did. Here is where my main complaint comes in. It makes me sick to my stomach even writing this. This company claims to HELP you achieve financial freedom, but all they have done is take all of my money with nothing to show for it. When I was laid off, I had an account in active settlement. The settlement agreement was for $3,900 (give or take a few bucks) and I had paid about $4200 in to my account. Enough for the settlement and a fee. Boy was I so wrong. Turnbull knew I was laid off and was not receiving income and what do they do? They TAKE OVER $2,900 FOR THEMSELVES, and send the creditor $1000 or so toward my settlement. Not nearly enough to be considered settled. $2,900. More than half of MY money. And guess what? The creditor that money was supposed to go to considered the settlement null and void. But turnbull gets paid, and I’m even further in debt. This creditor likely will not re- negotiate another settlement with me. Their excuse? “Well we did the work to negotiate”. Come on- I could have just as easily called my creditors and obtained the same exact settlement. This company does not care about helping you. Only about getting paid. I want my “settlement fee” returned to me so that I can actually put it towards my debt like it was intended for. I will keep writing reviews until that happens.

I feel my debt is in good hands, and is currently being taken care of. This company has great customer support and listens to their clients. Glad to be working with them.

Biggest mistake of my life. I enrolled with 2 debts, 1 $16000 $17000, my deposit account had $6553 which only $1100 was to paid to 1 settlement which took a year and a half to negotiate, all the while my account is building monies and all Turnbull is doing is taking fees for actually doing nothing but making a phone call to your creditor. It does not cost $5453 settlement fees to make a call . I did it myself once I figured out what they were doing. This is criminall what you do. Look your company up and see all the red flags. My lawyer assigned on my account only referred me to Customer Client Services of which they state only the lawyer can make those decision since I needed to modify my monthly payment. As soon as I said that everything went out the window!!! My second debt they could no longer help me with and basically wrote me off. I have since been in touch with the creditors who have no respect for you either and had to start all over again. I am now further in debt and you ruined my credit. I will not stop until you refund me a check for $5453, that is minus the $1100 you paid to my $17000 debt. I also have been returning calls left me by David and Rebecca, of which never return back to me. I have nothing to say to them on the phone for I will continue my plight until I get vindication for your wrong doing. I give you all ZEROS!!!!!!

I would never recommend this company. Once they have you they make little effort to resolve things quickly. I've been with Turnbull now for 2 years and only 4 accounts were resolved and they were rather small. The last one had not even been looked at and I had to have them cancel that one just to get things to move forward and finely resolve the last one. Getting the escrow money returned to me has been a nightmare and even though my account is finalized they say that there is still a payment scheduled to come out and then told me that 3 days was not enough time to get the payment stopped. When I asked for a supervisor I was told it would be 2 business days before they would call me back. I have sent several emails and none have ever been answered. Every customer service person gives me the same script and no real effort is made to assist.

I have been a client of Turnbull for 2 years. I pay 662 dollars a month for the peace of mind that I am having my debts negotiated and settled. I have made that payment faithfully. This week is the first time I need to stop payment on my end, due to needing that money for gas and groceries. When I called and spoke to the female representative, she gave me an exceptionally hard time, saying that there was nothing she could do to stop the payment coming out of my account because I needed to call at least 4 days before the payment is slated to come out. Mind you, I did call twice yesterday (approx. 4 days prior to payment due) and was on hold without anyone answering the phone for over a half an hour each time. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the woman told me that it takes 24 to 48 hours for a supervisor to be available. I then asked to just close my account, because it has been 2 years and there has barely been any improvement in my credit score - despite having paid off 11,000 from 11 different accounts supposedly. I never got any proof these debts were paid off, and I just did not have a good feeling about this company. Long story short, I was quickly connected to Zachary, who told me that even if I cancel my account, the next payment will still likely be taken out and that it takes 7-10 business days for an account to close. This made no sense to me. I have paid over 16,000 in two years to have my debt negotiated, when I should have just negotiated myself. If you are looking for a quick fix for your credit, or a long-term fix, be very weary of this company. They want to get your money and use smoke and mirrors to appear like a legitimate company.

Absolute scam. I was in dire need of help and was optimistic that this firm could help. No support from the supposed attorneys and my credit is even worse than when I signed up for the program. You also don't get any proof that they're even handling the debt! My monthly payments to resolve the debt was $850 a month. Guess how much their monthly "fee" is for my account? $790 a month. Absolutely laughable. Best part, I called to remove myself from the program this morning and handle the debt myself and they STILL plan on taking $850 out of my checking account in 2 days. I can't afford this!! Predatory!! As one of the other reviewers said, just file BK and save yourself the headache.

I really like the way the client is involved in the process with the creditors. Turnbull Law Group allows you to help make decisions that are best to the clients interest.

This program will cost you more than your original debt and absolutely destroy your credit in the process. I enrolled $67,000 in debt at which time they advised me to stop making payments. There were 12 debts enrolled. All immediately started hitting my credit report with missed payments. I saw my score drop from the 700 range to 400. I had good credit and paid everything on time. I had just divorced and got stuck with all of the marital debt so I was barely able to pay the minimums. I was told that it would take 6-9 months to settle everything and then it would be converted to a loan that would have a payment similar to the payments I was making while in the program. They did settle a couple debts quickly which will give you some promise. Then it’s nothing for months while the missed payments continue to ding your report and the creditors pile on the fees. If you have a $2000 debt, in 6 months that turns into 2500. Turnbull will settle for 1500 and then add 800 in fees so you pay 2300 for a 2000 dollar debt while your report gets hit for 6 months straight with missed payments. I’m at the end of the settlement now and heading into the loan program. That $67k in enrolled debt will now cost me $85,000. My biweekly payment now goes from $519 to $730 for the next 5 years. Yes “biweekly “ so $1460 per month. Not exactly similar to the program payment as I was told. My minimum payments on the original debt totaled less than this. Now the last debt was originally a $442 balance that has turned into $642.96 and they can’t reach a settlement so they’re telling me I have to either accept paying 200 extra or take the debt out of the program. That was money well spent… Here’s the best/worst part. Once the debts are “settled” they’ll show on your credit report as charge offs so your credit becomes stagnant. I have seen my score go back up to 550 in 9 months but now it’s just hanging there. Can’t wait to see what it looks like once I have 65 missed payments, 12 charge offs AND an $85,000 loan with a $1500 per month payment. Do yourself a favor, file BK. You won’t take anymore of a credit hit and you’ll get a fresh start with zero debt. Or continue making minimum payments and throw whatever extra you can and chip away over 6-7 years which is what this program will take. You’ll be far better off. This is the reality of the program and what they won’t tell you in the sales pitch.

So far every one has been super supportive, courteous and to the point. Can't wait for this to be over and they are making it seem like it's going to be a breeze! Thank you Turnbull!

Turnbull handled my smaller debts like a champ. However, they dropped the ball when the largest one sought litigation. Despite being told that I was being assigned a lawyer as part of their services (and what I was essentially paying for in coming to them and not negotiating by myself), I found this person to be beyond useless. I forwarded every document and the summons to the lawyer and uploaded to the dashboard as directed. I was assured everything would be handled. After a month of hearing nothing, I reached out to the lawyer myself was told they had answered the summons (which I was charged a small filing fee) and would keep me updated. Then nothing. Reached out again and was told it was being handled and he actually seemed irritated at my concerns of garnishments and liens - saying "we're nowhere near that point." Nothing again for months. Now I discover I have a writ of fieri fascia against me. Basically, they took an unsecured loan and imposed a lien against (and could potentially seize) my bank accounts, home, car, etc... Worse yet - they could not have done this without winning a judgement, which the Turnbull attorney should have been notified of but never told me. Now I'm wondering if he even showed up or if the creditor won by default. I called Turnbull. Despite the urgency, I have received no call from legal nor my so-called lawyer. Just left to my devices with nothing but well-meaning apologies from the very nice customer service phone staff. I am now negotiating directly with the creditor's law firm and hoping for a voluntary payment option. If you have a bunch of small bills, I think they are okay but honestly don't do anything you can't do yourself by calling your creditors directly. But if you're thinking about going with a debt relief program because you want some protection against judgements and litigation, look elsewhere. My experience is that they are worse than useless. In not providing me updates, they left me absolutely unprepared and any assets vulnerable.

I was lured in with the same promise all its "customers" are, that this company will help settle your debt. But in the same month, i was able to negotiate all my debt on my own, for a fraction of what Turnball could. When i asked to be removed from the program, there began the mountain of stress. On my first phone call, i was assured by the man my program was terminated and my full $400 refund would be on its way. Cut to 14 days later, still no refund and so i call again. This time, another CSR named Erika answers and tells me im lying, that i never called and canceled and that nobody would ever cancel their service. She continued to speak rudely, laughing along the way and popping bubblegum in the phone loud enough to hear. She also was zero help in canceling and i had to call a third time, where someone finally assisted me in canceling. They refunded me less than half of my money for the 2 weeks i was in the program, calling it "lawyer fees" and basically demolished my credit score. Big warning, this company is a massive scam and only seek to drain your funds without doing anything constructive for you. Stay away, they would beat your elderly mother for a dollar.

Started with them in April of 2021 and they have already Settled 5 out of my 6 accounts. Couldn’t be more pleased and should be debt free in 2 to 3 years. Can’t thank them enough.

I signed up for debt settlement with this company almost 2 years ago and they have still not negotiated my largest debt. They keep justifying not doing what they said they would because "there's not enough money in the account" even though I have been making payments twice a month via automatic withdrawals from my account this entire time. Now that debt has grown even larger and the company is trying to serve me with papers so I will now also be responsible for all of their legal fees and the cost of the sheriff trying to deliver them multiple times. This company still does not care and the lawyers will not get involved until I have the paperwork, except I will never have the paperwork because they don't have my address (since at the instruction of this company I changed all of my contact information to their info). I sent them emails advising that my debt was transferred to a collection company over a year ago and they refuse to get in touch with this company to give them information for where to send these legal papers. They don't care how many legal fees and sheriff visits I have to pay for. They refuse to do anything. Their lawyers aren't any more helpful, the one I managed to get in touch with (only because I had her phone # from an email earlier on) pretty much said that if I'm lucky this debt will be settled for around the original amount. what is the point of even doing this debt settlement program them?? just for them to profit off of poor people's debt? PATHETIC! Their customer service is a joke, their email replies are incredibly lacking. By the time this is all said and done I will not have saved any money thanks to all the extra late, interest, & legal fees on top of the thousands of dollar they are charging me for their so called "services". I would have been better off filing bankruptcy. I would NEVER recommend anyone fall for this scam, do not do business with this company. all working with them will do is make them thousands of dollars.

Payments are affordable especially now when people are struggling financially. Only annoyance is creditors still call in attempt to collect pymt even after being told about program...
