The door now works perfectly. We are very impressed by his skills, his understanding of Milgard products, his courtesy, and his lively personality that served to lessen our anxieties (we are nervous senior citizens!).

I am very happy with the final results of the warranty work. I had 3 windows who's seals had failed. The replacements happened over the course of 6 months. There was a mistake measuring one of the units and another unit was broken they day of the install. These delays were frustrating. However, the guys who came to the house were polite, professional, clean and apologetic. The lead time for the replacements was frustrating, as was the time to get on the calendar for install. In other words, everything took much longer than it should of because of a couple of mistakes, but the results are great and everyone was friendly along the way.

I'm an architect that often specifies Milgard windows. A house I bought had Milgard single hung vinyl windows. One of the seals on a lower sash failed. Milgard has a lifetime warranty for the original owner. Since I was not the original owner, it was warrantied for 10 years. The leaking sash was just out of warranty. I was very happy that Milgard's customer service department stepped up and sent replacement glass- impressive support of your product!

My dad built the house he and my mom are now living in, and the Milgard windows he chose are really nice. They are of solid construction and just look high-end (I know, up until recently I thought once you've seen one window you've seen them all, but that's not true!). I know he had to have some communication with customer service for certain things and he was pleased with their help. The lifetime warranty is also a HUGE plus!

From the visit to the showroom until installation was finished, this is the best contracting experience I've had. I've replaced my windows in two homes with Milgard products. If I ever move again, I would use them again if I needed windows!

We picked Milgard to help replace our 25 year old aluminum windows to dual pane vinyl. The first thing we noticed was how quiet the house was. Also, we are using the heater much less in the winter time and enjoying a cooler summer. We couldn't be happier with our Milgard windows. Poor customer service for warranty repair. I have been trying to get a double hung window repaired going on two months. My last conversation I tried to get a general time for the service call and I was put on hold for over a half hour, the girl on the line never returned. Still working on the service call, I will update if they ever return my call.

Kyle was in a hurry and seemed to struggle to really make everything functional in the smoothest way. The main front door still sticks when closed and the secondary door has a lock that is still less than 100% easy. As elders these small issues loom large when half of our friends cannot open it in one normal pull. Does that door need to be replaced??

Fifth or sixth time that installer or Millard has been out looking at the same slider. Each time they do their best and they try and get the door working as well as I can at the time and then days or weeks later it starts failing again to the point where you can’t even open the slider sometimes. I’ve asked for the door to be replaced. It’s just not acceptable for an expensive sliding glass door not to work.

The two men (Norm and I don’t remember the other man’s name) who came out to replace my windows were professional and fast. However, customer service dropped the ball several times; my service date was changed without notification (one of the service people had a family situation and had to cancel my appointment…customer service failed to call and let me know), when I called customer service I was told I needed to speak with someone who was on the phone but they would call me back…no call back, I called customer service the following day and finally talked with someone who scheduled my service date. The only reason I left a 3 star review is the quality of the to service men who installed my replacement windows.

Initially I was told I would have to live with the film on the outside of my window or pay for a replacement myself. Then after I figured out that it was because the low e coating was on the wrong side, then I was offered a replacement. I wasnt impressed with that process but the guy who i was dealing with was nice to me overall. The technician who came to fix it was very professional and nice. In the end we were appreciative.

They stand by the warranty of their product. I had a door that was over 5 years old where its hardware failed. They came out and replaced the hardware covered under their lifetime warranty. The technicians were helpfu, courteous and fixed the door efficiently.

We have a lifetime warranty on our windows, and over the past 22 years Milgard has taken care of any windows that have had stress fractures or lost their seal. The majority of windows have been fine, but when a problem has cropped up, Milgard has been there for us quickly and efficiently.

Had Milgard send a crew out for a warranty fix on one of our sliding door lock mechanisms. Their guys showed up about 10-15 mins early, which was appreciated. They quickly addressed and resolved the problem with a friendly professionalism. Completely satisfied with the service we received and love our Milgard windows and sliding doors.

Window issues

To begin with we had several large windows that wouldn't close of lock. We contacted our sales people, and he came out and looked at the problem and made the appointment. After that, someone called out the contractor and they came and reset the windows. Now they worked. I contacted my representative and told him that the windows were now working but we still needed the beading reinstalled. He suggested the warranty people still come out and do the work. They were supposed to arrive by 2 and I guess it was closer to 4 when they got there. They realized that the windows were working, but didn't have the beading to fix that part of the glass. I contacted my rep and he will follow up.

After submitting the warranty claim online, I realized after when the confirmation email was sent, it was listed at our home address and not the job location. It was not easy to get that info changed. After two calls and on hold for extended periods of time, the address was changed and a new service date set. Service tech was prompt and repaired the window fast. Very happy with the service but not happy with the process submitting the claim.

My rating is for the whole process of having two window panes replaced under warranty. I give Norm who came today to replace the windows 5 stars. He was friendly, professional, and provided excellent service. But, it’s get these windows replaced I filled out an impersonal online form, I couldn’t just call my local rep as I had done in the past. Even with the automated form, Norm was sent two extra window panes beyond the two that I requested. On top of that, I was told the windows would be shipped to Bozeman on June 5. I After a month, I tried to find the status on the Milgard website. I had a case number but there seemed to be no way to use it to get any status or review the form. I only just received an automated call a couple of days ago telling me when my appointment was (I had the option of rescheduling). It is a miracle I even picked up the phone since it was an unknown number. Before my rep would call and I would recognize who the call came from. I have had numerous Milgard windows in my house replaced under warranty. This is by far the worst experience I’ve had to get that done. The personal touch is gone and the misordering would not have happened if I had just spoken directly to my rep.

Excellent service. Tech and Milgard texted or called me days before they were to arrive. Tech called 2 hours before arrival. Outstanding company - labor and product were covered by warranty. Even though they had to drive 2 hours from a big city. I will by this window again.
