They don’t respond to phone calls and when I asked talked to the manager, he didn’t have the decency to call me back. He wanted to do it through email. I asked multiple times. They’re horrible.

I like the loan officer. But any of the other people that handle processing the loan did not work in sync. I was sending and uploading the same documents 2 or 3 times. Plus they even had a robot asking for information. When I'm doing a loan I want to speak to a live person. Not a robot sending me e-mails for items. The processor I had did an ok job. The underwriters didn't seem like they had their stuff together. This was not my first loan or refi and the approval took long.

Once closing was completed I needed questions answered. My agent didn't return texts, calls to his cell and office- even though they said he was available. I won't use AmeriSave in two years. I loved my loan originator, Lee E. He's funny, personable, and thorough. One thing though was forgotten apparently. The loan was supposed to have included my home insurance. Amerisave week called my provider, got all the information and told them to stop drawing the monthly from my auto-pay. Then it didn't get written in and now my insurance has been canceled because I wasn't aware for 5 months. I've tried reaching out to 3 different people with no response.

I liked my loan processor. I didn’t like how stringent their underwriters were as the things they asked were wholly unrelated to ability to pay the loan. Also, since my loan was sold, the new company can’t find my loan so now I can’t communicate with them about important questions. So now I’m frustrated. My loan processor is no longer with the company so he can’t guide me through now.

I have been in the real estate business for over 35 years, obtaining new mortgages and MANY refinances. I have found Amerisave to be the WORST company to try to deal with compared to all of the other companies I have dealt with. Their rates are probably among the lowest, but initial and ongoing customer service experiences are horrendous, and if I had the chance to do it again, I would NOT do business with them. I wasn't too concerned with the difficulty in refinancing with them last fall (extremely painful), figuring that it's a one-time effort that would pay for itself with the lower rate I was getting. But since then I have had several dealings with them, and find their customer service to be among the most consumer-UNFRIENDLY that I have experienced. From trying to fix an escrow problem that was THIER fault, to trying to get some basic info about putting a mortgaged property into an LLC, each time it took forever to get help, the process was cumbersome, and even after being told an issue was resolved, it turns out it wasn't. With the escrow problem, I was told that their system couldn't correct my escrow amount for 1 1/2 months, so in the mean time I had to pay an extra $600/mo. payment so as not to be considered delinquent with my payment. Don't be drawn in by their low rates and the smooth talking loan originators, and go with a different company that cares about their customers.
