The absolute worst business experience of my life! First off- they do not work! I was told it would be 6 months before I have a straight smile and guess what??? It’s been 2 1/2 years. Yes, YEARS!! And I’m not even close to being done. Plus, They will try to squeeze any penny they can out of you. I was just told that my “aligner guarantee” was voided because I stopped replying to their emails. Like what???? I’ve been using the app to send In pictures. I was told it will cost me $899 for a “re entry” fee. What a bunch of bull! Like I said, looking for any opportunity to squeeze money out of you.

Don't listen to any reviews that do not go past the 'onboarding experience' - only pay attention to reviews of people who have gone through the full process. Byte is good at one thing - GETTING customers. After that they won't give two craps about you as a customer. Long story short, I followed ALL of the rules and plan, and Byte still screwed up my treatment and refuses to finish it correctly. While I once recommended Byte to everyone who asked, I now regret it. As many other people mention, their goal is 100% GETTING CUSTOMERS. They DON'T CARE ABOUT ACTUAL CUSTOMERS. They are far too focused on acquiring new customers and put all of their customer service and funding into this process. You will feel like a rockstar during the on-boarding process with how much they 'care'. ONCE YOU ARE A CUSTOMER they could not care less about you. E-mailing customer service is an absolute JOKE and they take several days to a week to respond to anything. They do answer chat quickly, that is if you don't go NUTS trying to get to a REAL PERSON instead of their horrible chat bot. If you think Amazon's chat bot is terrible.... Byte's is about 50x WORSE that that one. You have to literally tell it how bad it is for it to let you connect to a person. No joke - type in 'this is stupid' and it will connect you. Their app is an absolute joke, useless and constantly has bugs and issues. I will say I followed EVERY rule and recommendation. I wore my aligners 23+ hours every day and used my HyperByte every day as told. My treatment not ending correctly was 100000% not on me, it was on Byte. FIRST PROBLEM: You better hope you need 15 aligners or less because trying to get the rest of your aligners is a nightmare of a joke. You are supposed to request your continuation at week 12, but their system won't let you until week 13. It then takes them ANOTHER week to actually do anything about your request, and only if you e-mail AND chat with them to push them. It then takes them 3-4 weeks to get you the new ones. So now you are on week 14 just getting them ordered, so you will now be 2-3 weeks late on your continuation treatment. The continuation aligners are NOT THE SAME and cut and fit differently which then leads to the next MAJOR problem. Heaven forbid your treatment doesn't do what it is supposed to at the end (because they did NOT make the continuation aligners right). I'm now working on WEEKS of trying to get their 'clinical team' to fix my treatment. I've sent the same photos and video dozens times and answered their questions 50 times. And several weeks into this they send some stupid 'aligner evaluation' that should have been sent the minute I said the treatment wasn't right. They then ordered 'touch up' aligners WITHOUT APPROVAL. I 100% do not trust this process and I know it will be screwed up again. Not only do they have no idea what they are doing and never read anything I say to them, they REFUSE to address my top teeth at all. They want an EXTRA $600 to finish my treatment the right way verus them GUESSING. I've asked 10 times for them to take new impressions and give me a new virtual care to approve and the absolutely refuse. This is the only way I trust them to finish my treatment correctly because they have been an absolute CLUSTER of a process and total disaster to deal with. They are quite literally guessing how to finish my treatment at this point. So now not only is my treatment going to be months late when I needed it done for a very specific time (which I even buffered before starting), but I'm sure it's going to be wrong again and I'm going to be back to fighting them AGAIN to get my treatment done CORRECTLY. You get an e-mail back from a different person every time and none of them actually listen or read through the information. Because they literally don't care, they just go through the motions. It is 100% my belief that their goal is to annoy you so much that you give up on trying to get your treatment finished. The entire process is unprofessional and an absolute DISASTER. While there might be benefits to Byte like not having to go to an office, you have to hope for everything to go perfectly in order to want to use this. Because pretty soon your 'no hassle' and 'quick treatment' is going to be an absolute headache.

If I could give 0 stars I would. STEAR CLEAR FROM BYTE. Do yourself a favor and go read the comments on the BBB and the reviews for 1-3 stars on the site. I bought into the hype and it’s been the biggest disappointment! I paid for the nighttime aligner plan which is more expensive (2800k ish). The first set of aligners I went through 12 weeks before my teeth just wouldn’t fit into the aligner at all. I notified Byte and they stated my teeth looked like they should have been at week 6. Mind you - I checked in as instructed a couple times in between where Byte staff supposedly checked my picture submissions. After realizing my teeth hadn’t shifted at all, they sent me a new kit for re-impressions. During my next set of aligners I made it to step 10 and aligners once again weren’t fitting. Same thing - multiple check ins and staff never notified me that my teeth weren’t moving and they actually instructed me to advance. Then they back tracked me to step 5. I wore step 5 for 2 weeks and was instructed that my new plan was going to be 2 weeks in each aligner rather than the 1 week because my teeth weren’t shifting like they were supposed to. I wore weeks 5, 6, and 7 for 2 weeks and my teeth aren’t fitting in week 8. I notified Byte that the treatment plan wasn’t working. I have followed all the rules and my teeth aren’t shifting. I have crowding on my bottom teeth in the front and they told me I’d be a good candidate and a night time plan would work. That was a lie. When I asked what happens now because they told me their service would work and it doesn’t they told me I couldn’t get a refund because the aligners are custom made. Literally the worst customer service ever. How does a company get away taking thousands of money from customers when their services don’t work for them? It’s a scam honestly. A big disappointment. I tried on my week 1 aligners and they fit perfectly - that means for 11 months of following the rules I have nothing to show for it except wasted time and stolen money.

I have been on the Byte program for 15+ Weeks now. I have been wearing my aligners basically any time I am not eating and I only eat one time a day. I have been updating when asked with no more than a few days late, which I made up with duration. One of my lateral incisors started gapping at step 8 (I didn't notice) So when I went to order the rest of my aligners I would told to go back until there is no gaps and it is confortable. So my uppers are back on Step 8 and my lowers on Step 15. I absolutely feel that Clinical Support group is not paying attention to uploaded photos UNTIL IT IS WAY TOO LATE! I have tried calling support and emailing and I can't get any solid answers. These aligners are fine, But if I knew I was going to be on my own I would have paid extra for a more reputable company.

I had been interested in starting Invisalign for a few years, so I started researching and came across Byte. They had great reviews, so I decided to call on 5/4/22. The first step was to complete the impression kit. It took about a week to receive it. I did it the same day I got it and sent it off the next day. My initial consultation on 6/13/22 was great. The lady I spoke with was great. She explained the process and the cost of the plan. She said the process would take 25 weeks, and I should reach my goal by the middle of January. I was super excited to start, so I signed up right away. It took about five weeks to receive my aligners. I received them on 7/15/22 and started wearing them immediately. The first few months were so painful. I lost 25 lbs because it hurt too much to eat. My teeth hurt (which is to be expected), but the aligners were sharp and kept cutting the inside of my gums. I also developed thrust and blisters all over my mouth, which I believe was from the whitening solution they had me use. Despite all this, I continued wearing my aligners and doing my monthly check-ins because I did notice my bottom teeth getting straighter. Let's go back a minute so you can have a better understanding. Before starting the treatment, my bottom teeth were very crooked. However, my top teeth were all straight expected the tooth right next to my front one. It was the begging of December when everything got worse. When I went to change my aligners to the next step, I noticed the tooth on top had not straightened out at all, and to make matters worse, it is now loose (it wiggles), and there is a gap in between my teeth. I immediately call Byte to explain the situation. They told me to take a two-week resting period from the top aligner to see if that would help, so I did. Two weeks passed, and my tooth still wiggled, so I informed them. They told me to extend the resting period, which I did. Fast forward to today, 4/23/23, after MANY failed attempts to resolve this issue, I was told they do not cover any outside dental work. They said I will have to pay out of pocket for any/all dental visits and treatments, even though their product caused the problem. So, not only did I suffer for months due to their defective products. I now have to pay out of pocket for dental bills due to their negligence and to top it off, my teeth look worse now than before I started. I wasted 8 months of my life that I could have spent using a product that actually worked and saved myself the pain, money, and headache from dealing with Byte.

If you are experiencing discomfort from the aligners due to the edges being sharp the best thing to do is use the file provided in your kit to smooth them out. We do provide a bottle of our BrightByte to every customer with their aligner kit, this is a mild whitener and is primarily used to cleanse the aligners. Using BrightByte is not a requirement for treatment so if our customers are experiencing discomfort we recommend reaching out to Byte Support as well as discontinuing use. I spent around 2k on this product to try and save money on braces. That money was wasted and I still had to pay for braces after Byte didn't work out. If you have any issues with the fit of this product, the customer service is horrible. When I initially purchased the product it was easy to call and speak to a dental professional whenever you had issues or questions. That changed and it is nearly impossible to get the help you need, especially if you work full time and are trying to manage a busy life. I also have a greater understanding of how many problems can be caused by using a product like this without being under the care of an orthodontist. Do not be fooled by this company and look around for affordable care elsewhere. It will be worth it long term.

Do not use Byte. I know the price point is tempting, but I have a valid reason why I do not recommend their service. They only provide half the trays upfront, then you need to complete a check in to receive the remaining brackets. I submitted all of the required documentation, AND CALLED THE NEXT DAY, to which I was told everything looked great and they should arrive in 3-4 weeks. At week 3, I call. JUST TO BE SAFE. The order was never submitted. I have been in the same bracket for two weeks, and will have to wait another 4 to received the "already confirmed" remaining brackets. These trays are not meant to be used for 6-8 weeks. They will not do anything to remedy their wrong, other than say "there's nothing they can do." When I asked for a refund because they did not comply with their treatment best-practices the replied with "in 3-4 business days someone from upper management will send an email." I paid cash, upfront, in full and they just never placed my order. Again, do not use this company. My teeth will not be straight and I'm out all my money.

Customer service always takes at least a week to get back to you. I waited 8 weeks for a new set after receiving the aligners as my bottom ones did not fit. When I was ready for my second shipment of aligners (they send 15 weeks at a time) it was almost SIX MONTHS before I could get them as my teeth hadn’t “fully settled” into my last set (even after wearing them for two months. Overall the product itself is great, but customer service could do a lot better.

Be warned about this company. They will give you the runaround once they receive your money. I know from experience and I am still disputing my current service. I have FINISHED two (2) sets of aligners and with both completed sets the results did not match what was initially projected. My bottom teeth still are not straight. I find the service I am receiving from BYTE horrible. If you have an issue, the representatives will only speak to you via generic emails. At this time, you cannot speak with their Clinical Support Team. I have begged in emails and by calling the customer service line for someone to reach out and discuss my issue. Not one call back. I spoke today with a customer service supervisor who said I he strongly thinks I would get a call within the hour from the Clinical Support Team as he made a note in my file to expedite my claim. No call, just two generic emails today saying they may implement a call system soon. It’s unacceptable. In my first set of alligners when there was an issue, after disputing with customer service, I was finally given a link to schedule a call with Clinical Support. I’m not sure why that service is no longer offered but that should be an essential part of treatment. I have explicitly followed the instructions given by the staff throughout 9 months treatments and on multiple emails have received conflicting information about my treatment. In my latest email received the representative mentioned issues with my TOP aligners. The completely wrong set! It’s frustrating as I can’t reach out to the associates as it is a just a generic email. My treatment keeps getting prolonged as I wait days for a new response. This company lacks communication and customer service skills. I don’t believe it is unreasonable to ask a company that you have purchased a service and an additional extended warranty program for a call back to discuss treatment. I recommend going through a dentist where at least you have an office with regular visits to monitor your treatment.

Waste of money. They find every excuse to void guarantee if there is an issue. Instead they will ask to pay additional $699 to fix aligners error they made in a first place. I followed treatment plan as instructed. Ordered retainers because they told me. Then I contacted them about bottom teath still being out of place. I have contacted them before 14 days of treatment completion as instructed. After 2 months of sending duplicates of photos per their request, they eventaully send me an email stating that because I ordered my retainers before reaching them first if forfeits guarantee. There is nowhere in their website states that. I ordered retainers because they told me so and I have answered in their useless treatment app that treatment was not satisfactory before hand. Now they want an additional $699 if I want results they promised in a first place. And now they are ignoring my response. Complete waste of money.

I have NEVER experienced worse customer service in my life! My teeth were supposed to be straight after my 17 week treatment plan. They were not. To Byte's credit they did send me a second set of retainers for 8 additional weeks of treatment. However, that also FAILED. Finally, they sent me new impression kits and provided me with a 3rd set of aligners spanning an additional 14 weeks. This too FAILED. My upper teeth look terrible and the past 2 sets of aligners did almost nothing to correct them. I have been in aligners from Byte for more than a year and when I try to call them to discuss my concerns, you can no longer speak to anyone, there is a recorded message telling you to use their online form. When I do that all I get are "Canned" responses that are applicable generally, but NOT IN MY PARTICULAR SITUATION. For more than TWO WEEKS I have attempted to speak with a Supervisor, but they refuse to call me back. I have been more than patient, but this is awful. The Customer Service is pathetic. They don't even bother to read the detailed messages I send and the answers I get are non-responsive. I would NOT RECOMMEND USING BYTE UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THEY CORRECT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES.

Terrible customer service. Zero interaction with a human the entire scheduled treatment time. By the end, my teeth weren’t even close to where they were supposed to be. I sent pictures and have been trying to get a solution for the past 4 months. They are very slow to respond and just send generic responses like ‘Backtrack’ to a prior week aligner, then sent a form to escalate to a ‘professional care team’, but I’ve received no response after filling out the form twice

I really wanted to like this company. They dropped the ball multiple times when sending me my second order of aligners. I needed to get them in, in time for a trip I'm about to take. I emailed (a month before my trip) and called them 4 times after. They assured me each time that I'd received them in time. Their customer service was friendly and kind but sadly they never submitted the order till a week before my trip. I called and asked for a refund because I felt like I wasn't getting what I had agreed to when I paid and they offered me free whitening instead. I had to follow up so many times and they did nothing on their end.

I purchased the Byte Daytime treatment plan package for all day aligners for my son ($1,895.00) on 10/31/2020. It was a total of 24 top aligners and 21 bottom. The first set was the first 15 aligners. I emailed with issues if excessive bleeding on 1/9/2021. explained blood was coming out from around the teeth and filling up his aligners. no cuts or abrasions. The teeth were moving, loose and bleeding. Was told it was normal. The bleeding was sporadic, we left some in for 2 weeks instead of the 1 week. Thought this might help the bleeding and loose teeth if it were more gradual. On 4/14 I had emailed we were on week 12/15. 4/19 they requested updated photos of his teeth. Had to resend them 3 times, as they were having "technical difficulties" over 3 weeks, they acknowledged the receipt on 5/9. stated it would be 3-4 weeks before the other liners to be shipped and continue to wear step 15 aligners until we started the next step so he didn't lose progress. We were happy to leave the step 15 in and it seemed to help ease the bleeding and some discomfort. In the meantime we received the 2nd shipment. Because he was getting so much relief from staying in step 15 he continued to use them until October. On 10/12 I messaged them that we had went to transition to the next aligners and they did not fit. They requested we fill out a Professional care support request, which we did immediately. On 10/19 I emailed them to follow up, as I hadn't heard back. They stated that they had sent an email. I received it later that day. they were requesting more photos/info, I sent. On 10/26 they requested MORE photos/info, I sent. They had us trim the liners/use warm water to get them to fit -did not work. We had to do new impressions. after receiving them they did not fit either. meanwhile he was in the step 15 so long he got a bad mouth infection. Doctor believes from wearing same liners to long, they have bacteria build up. Since the "new" liners don' fit again, we just want a refund. Upon denial, I filed a complaint with The BBB. They keep replying to my case that they will reach out to me, but I have not gotten any new correspondence. I know they offer a lifetime guarantee, but that doesn't mean much if the aligners don't fit. I would highly recommend choosing a different company.

Kind and knowledgeable customer service however my original treatment was 3 and a half months long and here I am getting my 3rd impression kit for my fourth set of aligners 8 months later. I have done everything as directed and very frustrated with the same issue not getting straightened out these past months. If you have minimal crowding and overall mild teeth alignment issues don’t expect a speedy treatment.

This has been a 2 1/2 year (and ongoing) process for me so results are not at all what I expected for not having bad teeth. They've been difficult to work with in terms of progressing forward, usually blaming customer usage rather than their own product. To provide some perspective, I had two sets of aligners made from the exact same molds and they came out feeling completely different... I couldn't wear the top aligners from one set and couldn't wear the bottom aligners from the other. Overall, it's a bad product and process. You're better off using another company or going the traditional route. This is company is not worth the savings you might get with other companies.

Overall the results have been amazing, but the process is much more extensive than I was originally quoted. It was supposed to be 19 weeks and here I am 40 weeks in and still not done. It's extremely frustrating and makes me want to quit. So as happy as I am with the results I feel like I was mislead on the time frame.

It's been terribly disappointing and annoying. I started in April 2021 and my original plan would've had me done in August 2021. Because they don't have enough customer service reps to handle their email volume, any time I had an issue, I could count on at least 8-10 days before someone responded and then at least another 4-6 weeks before anything meaningful actually happened (yes, I understand there's a process to making additional refinement aligners and then shipping them but basically 6-8 weeks from the time I flag an issue to that issue being resolved is ridiculous). They also aren't consistent in their instructions. I was told during a professional care call to respond to an email she sent me when I was done with my current set of retainers if my bite was still off. I did that, and then got an autoresponse with some B.S. statistics about people feeling like their bite is off and that if I needed more help to fill out a form for a customer care call. So I did that but then had to wait a few days for that appointment just to be told to fill out ANOTHER evaluation and likely wait at least a month for more aligners to come. Based on that convo, I'm also worried that the issues their aligners created with my bite (a top tooth is hitting a bottom tooth now to the point where I can't fully bite down when I chew - it takes me forever to eat a meal) won't actually be fixed. They gave me this legalese nonsense about not being able to fix my jaw and only being able to straighten my teeth. Well, that tooth never hit my bottom teeth before, but now it is - and if there was a risk of that, should I really have been a candidate? I'm really hoping this won't be an ongoing issue, but based on my experience, I'm not holding my breath. I would really love to just be able to eat like a normal person again.

The Byte experience and customer service is not sincere or genuine. Byte could careless if they helped you or not they try to find every eay to void any type of protection. Customer service reads from a script with no help to your current t situation. They want to charge you for any type of assistance. I explained to them that my aligners cracked due to a tooth not moving and just that single tooth not fitting the aligners. Instead of helping me fix the problem, they asked me to pay another $130 for an impression kit and $650 for a Byte insurance. They do not guarantee a happy smile at the end of the day because they are a corporation. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEIR GURANTEES... It is full of lies and false calims that you are protected. The only smile they have is when you pay them more money for their products failure.

Horrible service. The impression trays they sent are too big, so the sent another set of trays…the exact same size. Amazingly enough BEFORE I gave them $2000 they had a smaller set of impression trays that fit my mouth perfectly. Now, after 8 weeks I have to go to a third party vendor and buy them myself. And you cannot buy just one set, you get 12, plus the puddy (or whatever that is called). I had to get the new impressions due to week 8 not fitting at all. I learned that if there are any gaps then the aligners are not right and could damage my teeth. I went all the way back to week one and EVERY week had significant gaps. So the aligners have not been right from the get go. Save your money and avoid Byte! They'll take your money and the. Waste your time.
