I've received a free product back when initiating a treatment, having to submit proof of a 5* review in this site. At 4 weeks of treatment, I was in no position of rating this company, but I did not know that. About 10 months into the treatment, I started to notice some wobbly teeth. I asked byte on more than one occasion, and was brushed off saying that that was part of the normal process and that I should continue the treatment. It was impossible to get ahold of anybody over the phone, this was all asynchronous communication via email. A year later, after finishing the Byte treatment, a specialist is telling me that I will going to lose one of those wobbly teeth. I will have to go through a very expensive and painful treatment to fix the damage done to my teeth by Byte aligners. Full of regrets. Don't do Byte, Go to the orthodontist instead.

Awful experience. Provided falsely advertised results in order to get me to purchase the plan. When I reached out to costumer service, they take a minimum of a week to respond, but still do not address the issue when they do. My teeth did not turn out how they pictured they would, and they did nothing to fix it. Just kept asking me to send pictures and saying I didn’t follow instructions properly when I did everything they told me to do. After 5 weeks of emailing back and forth with them with little to no responses, I’ve given up and accepted I wasted my money and time. Was an extremely frustrating process and a total scam. Please do not invest money and time into this company. It will be regretted and good luck if you do.

I have been using Byte a couple of months shy of a year. Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin with the issues surrounding this company. I sent in my mold, about 1-2 months later I received my trays. I would reach out via e-mail with questions or concerns but either would not get a reply or get a reply up to week later. It was time to request my second set of aligners.. they told me my bottom aligner was not fitting correctly so I needed to start all over with a new mold. Went through all of that again. Also, still dealt with zero communication from this company. Made it almost through my 1st half of aligners again and they told me they were still not fitting correctly. I’ve sent several emails since and each time I’m met with automated responses that has nothing to do with my email or absolutely no reply. I visited with my dentist today to get a cleaning and updated x-rays. The dentist showed me on my x-rays a few things. 1. The aligners were actually damaging the roots of my front bottom teeth and if I continued to use them, they would fall out within a year or two. 2. The crowding on my front bottom teeth would be impossible to fix with mail-in aligner kits because in order for them to straighten out, they would need IPR (interproximal reduction) which is obviously impossible over the phone or with mail in kits. This company CAN fix some spacing issues but CANNOT fix crowding. They are advertising that they can. They took advantage of me from the beginning and have ghosted me since. I’m still in the process of getting a refund. They are trying their best to refuse.

DO NOT GET BYTE WITHOUT CONSULTING YOUR DENTIST. I ordered byte after being told that I was a good fit for their aligners. After only wearing the aligners for 24 hours, the aligners pulled of a cap on my molar that was supposed to last for another 20 years... They seemingly don't take into consideration molars/caps, though they say that they do. I was also then told by my dentist that I am actually not a good candidate for DIY aligners because my crowding is severe enough that I need to have a little enamel removed to make room for my bottom teeth to straighten. Byte is taking no responsibility and refusing to refund anything. I basically made a large donation to Byte. It's extremely frustrating. Be sure it's the right fir for you before moving forward and I recommend consulting with your dentist AHEAD of time.

If the product doesn't work...don't expect any help later! When looking into this product I received multiple friendly texts to help me decide to purchase the product. The package arrived, looked professional, and even though I was nervous I gave it a go. I purchased the night aligners but since I'm working from home, I used them both day and night, only taking them off to eat or drink. I used the vibration took as recommended. Everything seemed to be going great until the last retainer. My upper teeth didn't require too much straightening but didn't quite get to where it was supposed to go, with one tooth still sticking out slightly, but the bottom teeth not only weren't straight...I didn't realize until wearing the 14th (last) aligner that each time they pushed my teeth out to straighten them, when I took the aligner off, I couldn't bite down properly until about 1/2 hour later. This kept happening until I finally realized that my lower canines were hitting my upper canines until they bend back in again, over and over again! I was recommended to send an email with photos which I did, and detailed my issues, asking if this meant I required a new mold and more aligners to correct the issue. One email back asking me to send them what I already did...photos with an explanation. When I pointed this out...they "disappeared". I've sent multiple emails, even finally threatening to notify the Better Business Bureau, but I have apparently dropped off the face of the earth. I guess I'm not getting any help, nor will I receive any retainers, as the retainers wouldn't work based on my problem. Really, REALLY disappointed. I should have listened to my dentist.

This was at first an exciting experience. The customer care team was quick and available when I got started. Offered less then helpful information about how my aligners should fit as I progressed through each week and alas the lack of communication and clear direction led to aligners that didn’t fit and a halt in progress. So eventually of course I needed a refinement set. I’ve text and emailed 6 times in the last three weeks with no response on next steps. My treatment plan has not been updated on my account either so I can’t review the new treatment since no one has replied to me. So. Beware. That if you are further into the process and need refinement aligners you are not a priority to them as you may have read in other reviews. By the way they offer you a free bottle of alignment cleaner and teeth whitening solution to post a review which is why many of the reviews you see are from people who haven’t even completed their full treatment. Good luck on your journey.

Do Not Buy !!! Byte sucks!!! Horrible customer service. Do not pay in advance. Byte sends you half of your aligners in the first shipment. When it comes time to send your the second phase of your aligner treatment the company support disappears. I ordered and paid for my full treatment in full in September 2020. It's now almost June of 2021 and the company has only provided 15 weeks of aligners. I have been fighting with their support for 6 weeks now to provide the remainder of my treatment aligners with no progress. I have never had a company lie to me until now. I have never had to report a company to the BBB until now. Run away from this company and tell all you friends to do the same.

Their customer service is absolutely terrible. I ordered the daytime aligners and simply couldn't keep up with the treatment (I only get about 1-2 weeks in). I saw that they had a night time treatment and purchased another impression kit (so that they could make it based on up-to-date molds). Waited over a month, no aligners were sent, no email, no call. I finally reached out and they said they never made the aligners because it looks like I already have an account. I explained what I'm trying to do (including paying the full price again). They said they'd email me with some additional questions. They then asked for a picture of my teeth with aligners in, when I replied with it, they restarted the entire process asking what my name is, zip code, email address, etc. At this point I called them, they said the picture didn't come through. I resent and they received the picture while on the phone and said they'd leave it up to the support team to continue this via email. I messaged and told them I purchased and sent back a new impression kit and asked what happened to it. They completely avoided all of my specific questions and responded with "Our Certified Care Team reviewed your treatment and they recommend you continue with the Day time treatment due to your case, to ensure you will have the best results from your treatment!". "Due to your case" Not very imformative, nor very helpful. I still don't understand why they are turning me down on starting the process over, paying full price, but for a different treatment plan. Will probably just go to a different invisible aligner company. More and more are offering night time treatments anyway.

I strongly discourage using Byte. It is objectively one of the worst customer service experiences I have received, and you can very clearly tell that they optimize for budget solutions. Here is what they typically do: they advertise for low cost (60% of traditional aligners!) and say your treatment will be much shorter than what it will actually be. What they don't tell you is that they will get you in a perpetual loop of 'refinement' aligners, where you will have no contact with an actual dentist of any kind, but you will just wait (sometimes weeks or months) for them to just say 'wear the same alignment for another week'. Honestly, use an aligner plan where you can actually get professional assessment, this is a joke that is solely based on the premise of low cost and easy to ship to your home.

I wore braces as a kid but stopped wearing my retainer so I had some minor tweaks I wanted to try to fix with Byte. I got my aligners and noticed by about week 11/15 that my aligners were not fitting well, and I didn’t see any progress AT ALL with my teeth. I reached out to customer service who was glad to respond when they want you to do new impressions and make new aligners for you (because the first ones obviously weren’t correct) which take another 5-7 weeks to ship to you... and wear them hoping this round that it will work... I went to my dentist and my aligners had actually pushed back my gum line (painful!!) and slightly shifted my bite the wrong way. I am currently trying to get a refund with a doctors note, and Byte customer service has fallen off the face of the planet.. imagine that! I would highly recommend NOT going this route. Meet with an orthodontist in person and have them track your treatment, even if it’s more expensive. Byte was a cheaper option (you get what you pay for) but still over $2k!! And I’ll probably never get my money back from them. Do not recommend!!!!

I have been in contact with this company for weeeks about my aligners. I guess since I paid in full they don’t care to offer quick customer service. Each rep tells me the same BS, which is I have to wait over a month to get my revised aligners. I requested my money back because I simply don’t trust the treatment plan anymore if they are giving me aligners that don’t fit. And when I say they don’t fit....they literally miss my teeth my 2 inches!!!!!! Like how is that possible? And now they refuse to give me my money! They refuse to let me speak to a manager! They refuse to give me a refund, and they refuse to send me new aligners in a timely manner. If you can not provide a service, you need to refund people their money!!!!! Or at least refund a portion! I will say this, do not pay in full!! Once they have your money, they don’t care to take care of you throughout your treatment! That is a fact! Also, how are they an aligned company that sends aligners that don’t fit by 2 inches! Make this make sense! I am so livid, I seriously wish I never went to them! So many other companies that offer the same services with better reviews.

There may be rare times when aligners are delivered and do not fit the customer. This may have been due to a manufacturing error, which in these cases, we want to get resolved as soon as possible. While we want to get these errors resolved asap, reprinting aligners does take some time, as well as passing the aligners through a sanitation check before shipping them out to you. My teeth have improved greatly since beginning byte. However, at the end of my 9 weeks there are still some minor adjustments that need to be made. Byte seems to be working well with me to complete the process. The process was simple enough but I do feel like there could have been better instructions when the aligners were sent out to me.
