Be warned about this company. They will give you the runaround once they receive your money. I know from experience and I am still disputing my current service. I have FINISHED two (2) sets of aligners and with both completed sets the results did not match what was initially projected. My bottom teeth still are not straight. I find the service I am receiving from BYTE horrible. If you have an issue, the representatives will only speak to you via generic emails. At this time, you cannot speak with their Clinical Support Team. I have begged in emails and by calling the customer service line for someone to reach out and discuss my issue. Not one call back. I spoke today with a customer service supervisor who said I he strongly thinks I would get a call within the hour from the Clinical Support Team as he made a note in my file to expedite my claim. No call, just two generic emails today saying they may implement a call system soon. It’s unacceptable. In my first set of alligners when there was an issue, after disputing with customer service, I was finally given a link to schedule a call with Clinical Support. I’m not sure why that service is no longer offered but that should be an essential part of treatment. I have explicitly followed the instructions given by the staff throughout 9 months treatments and on multiple emails have received conflicting information about my treatment. In my latest email received the representative mentioned issues with my TOP aligners. The completely wrong set! It’s frustrating as I can’t reach out to the associates as it is a just a generic email. My treatment keeps getting prolonged as I wait days for a new response. This company lacks communication and customer service skills. I don’t believe it is unreasonable to ask a company that you have purchased a service and an additional extended warranty program for a call back to discuss treatment. I recommend going through a dentist where at least you have an office with regular visits to monitor your treatment.

In some cases, teeth are more stubborn in their movement than anticipated.

If the initial techniques that Byte selected were not effective, using the new impressions to adjust our approach is the best next step. Altering the strategy does not mean that the initial treatment was unsuccessful - it just means that some time must be added to get that perfect smile! We offer these adjustments with our Aligner Guarantee as long treatment guidelines have been complied with.

We do understand how important communication is, especially in a treatment that involves oral health. Waste of money. They find every excuse to void guarantee if there is an issue. Instead they will ask to pay additional $699 to fix aligners error they made in a first place. I followed treatment plan as instructed. Ordered retainers because they told me. Then I contacted them about bottom teath still being out of place. I have contacted them before 14 days of treatment completion as instructed. After 2 months of sending duplicates of photos per their request, they eventaully send me an email stating that because I ordered my retainers before reaching them first if forfeits guarantee. There is nowhere in their website states that. I ordered retainers because they told me so and I have answered in their useless treatment app that treatment was not satisfactory before hand. Now they want an additional $699 if I want results they promised in a first place. And now they are ignoring my response. Complete waste of money.

I have NEVER experienced worse customer service in my life! My teeth were supposed to be straight after my 17 week treatment plan. They were not. To Byte's credit they did send me a second set of retainers for 8 additional weeks of treatment. However, that also FAILED. Finally, they sent me new impression kits and provided me with a 3rd set of aligners spanning an additional 14 weeks. This too FAILED. My upper teeth look terrible and the past 2 sets of aligners did almost nothing to correct them. I have been in aligners from Byte for more than a year and when I try to call them to discuss my concerns, you can no longer speak to anyone, there is a recorded message telling you to use their online form. When I do that all I get are "Canned" responses that are applicable generally, but NOT IN MY PARTICULAR SITUATION. For more than TWO WEEKS I have attempted to speak with a Supervisor, but they refuse to call me back. I have been more than patient, but this is awful. The Customer Service is pathetic. They don't even bother to read the detailed messages I send and the answers I get are non-responsive. I would NOT RECOMMEND USING BYTE UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THEY CORRECT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES.

Terrible customer service. Zero interaction with a human the entire scheduled treatment time. By the end, my teeth weren’t even close to where they were supposed to be. I sent pictures and have been trying to get a solution for the past 4 months. They are very slow to respond and just send generic responses like ‘Backtrack’ to a prior week aligner, then sent a form to escalate to a ‘professional care team’, but I’ve received no response after filling out the form twice

I really wanted to like this company. They dropped the ball multiple times when sending me my second order of aligners. I needed to get them in, in time for a trip I'm about to take. I emailed (a month before my trip) and called them 4 times after. They assured me each time that I'd received them in time. Their customer service was friendly and kind but sadly they never submitted the order till a week before my trip. I called and asked for a refund because I felt like I wasn't getting what I had agreed to when I paid and they offered me free whitening instead. I had to follow up so many times and they did nothing on their end.

I purchased the Byte Daytime treatment plan package for all day aligners for my son ($1,895.00) on 10/31/2020. It was a total of 24 top aligners and 21 bottom. The first set was the first 15 aligners. I emailed with issues if excessive bleeding on 1/9/2021. explained blood was coming out from around the teeth and filling up his aligners. no cuts or abrasions. The teeth were moving, loose and bleeding. Was told it was normal. The bleeding was sporadic, we left some in for 2 weeks instead of the 1 week. Thought this might help the bleeding and loose teeth if it were more gradual. On 4/14 I had emailed we were on week 12/15. 4/19 they requested updated photos of his teeth. Had to resend them 3 times, as they were having "technical difficulties" over 3 weeks, they acknowledged the receipt on 5/9. stated it would be 3-4 weeks before the other liners to be shipped and continue to wear step 15 aligners until we started the next step so he didn't lose progress. We were happy to leave the step 15 in and it seemed to help ease the bleeding and some discomfort. In the meantime we received the 2nd shipment. Because he was getting so much relief from staying in step 15 he continued to use them until October. On 10/12 I messaged them that we had went to transition to the next aligners and they did not fit. They requested we fill out a Professional care support request, which we did immediately. On 10/19 I emailed them to follow up, as I hadn't heard back. They stated that they had sent an email. I received it later that day. they were requesting more photos/info, I sent. On 10/26 they requested MORE photos/info, I sent. They had us trim the liners/use warm water to get them to fit -did not work. We had to do new impressions. after receiving them they did not fit either. meanwhile he was in the step 15 so long he got a bad mouth infection. Doctor believes from wearing same liners to long, they have bacteria build up. Since the "new" liners don' fit again, we just want a refund. Upon denial, I filed a complaint with The BBB. They keep replying to my case that they will reach out to me, but I have not gotten any new correspondence. I know they offer a lifetime guarantee, but that doesn't mean much if the aligners don't fit. I would highly recommend choosing a different company.

Kind and knowledgeable customer service however my original treatment was 3 and a half months long and here I am getting my 3rd impression kit for my fourth set of aligners 8 months later. I have done everything as directed and very frustrated with the same issue not getting straightened out these past months. If you have minimal crowding and overall mild teeth alignment issues don’t expect a speedy treatment.

This has been a 2 1/2 year (and ongoing) process for me so results are not at all what I expected for not having bad teeth. They've been difficult to work with in terms of progressing forward, usually blaming customer usage rather than their own product. To provide some perspective, I had two sets of aligners made from the exact same molds and they came out feeling completely different... I couldn't wear the top aligners from one set and couldn't wear the bottom aligners from the other. Overall, it's a bad product and process. You're better off using another company or going the traditional route. This is company is not worth the savings you might get with other companies.

It's been terribly disappointing and annoying. I started in April 2021 and my original plan would've had me done in August 2021. Because they don't have enough customer service reps to handle their email volume, any time I had an issue, I could count on at least 8-10 days before someone responded and then at least another 4-6 weeks before anything meaningful actually happened (yes, I understand there's a process to making additional refinement aligners and then shipping them but basically 6-8 weeks from the time I flag an issue to that issue being resolved is ridiculous). They also aren't consistent in their instructions. I was told during a professional care call to respond to an email she sent me when I was done with my current set of retainers if my bite was still off. I did that, and then got an autoresponse with some B.S. statistics about people feeling like their bite is off and that if I needed more help to fill out a form for a customer care call. So I did that but then had to wait a few days for that appointment just to be told to fill out ANOTHER evaluation and likely wait at least a month for more aligners to come. Based on that convo, I'm also worried that the issues their aligners created with my bite (a top tooth is hitting a bottom tooth now to the point where I can't fully bite down when I chew - it takes me forever to eat a meal) won't actually be fixed. They gave me this legalese nonsense about not being able to fix my jaw and only being able to straighten my teeth. Well, that tooth never hit my bottom teeth before, but now it is - and if there was a risk of that, should I really have been a candidate? I'm really hoping this won't be an ongoing issue, but based on my experience, I'm not holding my breath. I would really love to just be able to eat like a normal person again.

The Byte experience and customer service is not sincere or genuine. Byte could careless if they helped you or not they try to find every eay to void any type of protection. Customer service reads from a script with no help to your current t situation. They want to charge you for any type of assistance. I explained to them that my aligners cracked due to a tooth not moving and just that single tooth not fitting the aligners. Instead of helping me fix the problem, they asked me to pay another $130 for an impression kit and $650 for a Byte insurance. They do not guarantee a happy smile at the end of the day because they are a corporation. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEIR GURANTEES... It is full of lies and false calims that you are protected. The only smile they have is when you pay them more money for their products failure.

Horrible service. The impression trays they sent are too big, so the sent another set of trays…the exact same size. Amazingly enough BEFORE I gave them $2000 they had a smaller set of impression trays that fit my mouth perfectly. Now, after 8 weeks I have to go to a third party vendor and buy them myself. And you cannot buy just one set, you get 12, plus the puddy (or whatever that is called). I had to get the new impressions due to week 8 not fitting at all. I learned that if there are any gaps then the aligners are not right and could damage my teeth. I went all the way back to week one and EVERY week had significant gaps. So the aligners have not been right from the get go. Save your money and avoid Byte! They'll take your money and the. Waste your time.

I am on my 20th week, 2nd set of aligners that do not fit and waiting for my 3rd impression kit so I can wait another 2 - 4 weeks to get the new 3rd set of aligners. I contacted Byte after 12 weeks and my teeth were not straightened. They have nothing in place to check the progress through the 13-week treatment. I wore the aligners religiously at least 22 hours a day and used their hyperbyte as directed. Their customer service is horrible! I have been through 3 reps that say they are my primary contact to resolve my problems and they all disappear! I requested a full refund as they had advertised when I signed on and now they will not honor a refund. Pay more and get aligners from a more reputable company.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The aligners hurt, and they consistently blame you for them not fitting properly on your teeth. And what they don't tell you is that the model that they send you - if your teeth aren't how YOU want them to be - you shouldn't approve it. I have a single tooth that sticks out that none of the aligner move at all. When you look at the model it looks like it's straight but when you turn the model it still sticks completely out. I got to week 13 and I had to completely restart my treatment because of "air bubbles", one aligner was literally hanging off my teeth and they told me to cut the aligners. Veronica, RDA is TERRIBLE at CUSTOMER SERVICE. There is no "guarantee" - I was told "With our Satisfaction Guarantee, we can provide additional treatment at no additional fee - as long as you continue to wear your aligners and save your previous sets!" Veronica indicated that this is not the case. Don't buy into the hype.

Our team also checks in regarding the plan to see what the customer thinks and if they have any questions before approving the plan.

Our Aligner Guarantee, states if a customer has reached the end of treatment
and is not happy with the results our team can re-evaluate those results. If approved, we will provide additional treatment at no extra cost to get to the results we promised. Our Aligner Guarantee is contingent on having followed all of the treatment guidelines. These are outlined in our Guarantees page on our website under guarantees.

This means that if at any point during treatment those guidelines are not followed, such as throwing away previous aligners or not wearing them as directed, there may be a fee associated with re-evaluating that treatment. VERY bad customer service! When I signed up, I specifically UN-checked the box for receiving text messages. (I did NOT want texts.) It's more efficient for me to communicate via email. STILL, I began receiving multiple text messages, even after I specifically text back that I wanted emails. That was red flag #1. On 7/28/21, I get an email!! Byte asked me about my experience. By that time, my kid had submitted the dental impressions just fine, and we were just waiting for the aligners to come. I immediately replied to the 7/28/21 email (excited that Byte was emailing now, instead of texting). I replied that "I'd like to know more about the financial obligations.” Two days later and no reply, I CALL Byte, on 7/30/21. I spoke with a rep., asking to be sent the financing paperwork, or a link, so that I could go ahead and get the financing process and approval started. Well, instead of just sending me the paperwork or link, I'm told that someone will be calling me. So, that was red flag #2. Come on, why did I need someone to call me? I'm trying to give YOU my MONEY, but I need to wait for someone to call me. Just give send me the link or the paperwork, and let's get started. Unnecessary back-and-forth is a waste of time. After the rep. said that someone would call me about the financing, I instructed him that someone should EMAIL me. Not call. But, sure enough, someone CALLS, AND they start texting. AGAIN. That's red flat #3. I did not text back. On 7/31/21, and 8/4/21, and 8/5/21, I email Byte, asking AGAIN for documentation for setting up financing. When 8/8/21 arrived, and STILL NO FINANCING PAPERWORK, I just emailed BYTE and cancelled the whole thing. I’m sending my child to a local orthodontist (in a brick-and-mortar location) where I can conveniently speak with people when I need help, and I will not need to practically BEG for them to help me figure out how to send them my money. If Byte cannot respond within a professional time, say 24-48 hours, with financing information, how would they be once they get your money? I just do not have time for such nightmarish communication experiences. It's like a bad online dating experience. Fortunately, Byte promised to cancel everything. But I fear that if I'd waited a bit longer, after the aligners started arriving, they try to trap me. And I question many of the positive reviews. I’ve read that Byte will make offers for positive reviews. Someone on this site has posted that they were offered Byte Whitening Foam to submit a positive review. And I'm certain I received something similar (by email), but I immediately deleted the offer. Interesting, that before I could post this review, I'm asked "Did you receive a specific invitation from byte to leave this review"? (Had not, if it really matters.) Finally, something else I’d like to point out. Seems that most bad reviews have someone from BYTE suggesting that they message Byte, at support@byteme.com, or call at 877-298-3669. All I have to say is good luck getting someone to respond from support@byteme.com!! And if you call, be ready to be told that someone will have to call you back. The person you need to speak with will likely be in a meeting. Someone from BYTE will likely email me to contact support or call. Fine, but it’s a waste of your time.

I did EXTENSIVE research on at home braces options last year and decided to go with Byte over any of the others because I didn’t have a severe case and thought this product could help me the quickest. After a full year I can honestly write a review and am saying DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I wore my aligners EXACTLY as prescribed and not only did my teeth not achieve the straight bite I was hoping for, my actual bite is now negatively impacted and worse than it was before!! My dentist took before and after X-rays and confirmed this. I contacted the company asking for my money back as it not only didn’t work, it made my teeth and overall bite WORSE than before I started!!!! They said they do not give money back but will continue to send me more aligners. What good is that if each tray made my teeth and bite worse off? SAVE YOUR MONEY. Do not spend the $2300 on this product, like I did, to now have to be in a position to need real dental intervention and have to pay for that too.

You can tell Byte is run by millennials. Everything is awesome! ...until they have to get back to you on some detail like getting x rays from your dentist before moving forward. A month later, I still haven't heard back from them after multiple emails and texts requesting information. Johnny C, their VP of Sales, emailed me (likely automatically generated) to ask if everything is okay a week ago so I responded to say I still haven't heard back from them on the x rays. Apparently a week later, it's okay for even the VP of Sales to ghost potential customers. Meanwhile, the discount I get for my wife recommending Byte to me is expiring, exclusively because of them while I still get automatic emails about all their other (lesser) discounts. But if you look at Johnny C on LinkedIn, he looks like he's proud of growing that beard since he probably just started shaving a few years ago. Feel free to provide another one of those "we're hiring more people, blah, blah, blah" responses. You're showing your true colors as a 'disruptive company' that can't handle it. Don't send emails, automatic or otherwise, if you can't follow up. Welcome to business 101 kids. No, byte me!

Avoid this company at all costs. THEY HAVE GOOD REVIEWS ONLY BECAUSE THEY SOLICIT POSITIVE REVIEWS FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS DURING TREATMENT FOR SIMPLE REQUESTS. For example, run out of aligner cleaner? You can pay $80 for it OR "write us 3 good reviews, and make a video about your positive experience, etc." My 10 week plan turned into over a year treatment plan that made my teeth so loose that I had to stop wearing my bottom retainer at the command of my dentist. His exact words were "Stop this makeshift treatment plan immediately or you will lose your teeth!!" Holy Cow! after 3 additional dental visits I fortunately did not have to have a stabilizing bridge put in. Obviously lost all of my 13 months worth of progress but better than losing teeth!! When I called to try and get a new top retainer however, hoping that this would not be a complete loss, I experienced the normal run around, that you will have at every turn after you pay for the treatment (Extremely friendly at first) only to wait on hold for 30 minutes while they said that I have to pay full price for both retainers, that they couldn't just ship one, then that they COULD ship one, but it will be at the same price as both. Even after I told them I would buy 5 top retainers to not have to go through this frustrating nonsense again, they stood fast in this ridiculous position. Instead of maintaining what was left of this fractured relationship they have forced me to start again from scratch with a competitor. What a complete headache. I wish I did more research and avoided this entire nightmare but I thought, 'Wow look at all these great reviews'. Don't be fooled.

I paid over 2k for zero results and awful customer service I normally don’t write bad reviews but I would not recommend Byte. My experience with Byte has been awful. I paid over 2k for absolutely no results. I purposely chose Byte because of their “Byte for Life Guarantee.” They were so friendly and easy to work with at first. Then, they completely stopped communicating with me once I received my impressions. I finished my 15 weeks and noticed my teeth were still not straight so I contacted customer service several times to get assistance. After ignoring several of my emails, they finally told me that I was supposed to contact them for the rest of my impressions and somehow I should have known about this. They made me send photos of my teeth. After WEEKS of going back and forth they said I am not ready for the bottom aligners. They asked if I was ready for my upper retainer. I said yes multiple times and they still never sent it to me. I told them I had lost some of my old impressions and they told me this means I lost my guarantee and I would have to pay for a whole new kit. I read everything I could front to back and it was never clear I would lose my guarantee if I lost any of my aligners. The customer service representative said there were small notes in each of my aligner bags that said not to lose my old aligners. I never read all of the notes because several were just inspirational quotes that were irrelevant to aligning my teeth. I did not think these small notes would have important and crucial information. I would have 100% guarded my aligners with my life had it been CLEAR that it was essential to my guarantee. I am beyond disappointed and saddened that I wasted a lot of money for no results. I followed the instructions as best as I could and did everything the plan included. I don’t have a ton of money to invest in myself and the one thing I was insecure about was my bottom teeth. I decided to invest in myself and it was important to me that I chose a company that was going to be apart of my smile journey that had my best interest. After my experience, I would not recommend Byte.

I'm paying full price (around $3,000) for only the top teeth, I was told after they sent the aligners that they could only do the top teeth. So after this, I will still need to pay for braces. Other than that, the aligners are easy to use and the staff are courteous.
