I am extremely disappointed with byte. My treatment was suppose to be 10 weeks and 5 months later I am waiting on aligners with no update on a tracking number. The last aligners I received I have wore them for so long that they broke and hurting my mouth . The other aligners from past weeks do not feet my teeth.

Byte did not work for me at all. My time was supposed to be 4 months and there was no movement in my teeth. I’m still waiting on my other kit so I can start my whole process all over again. I am paying for something that didn’t even work. Byte advisors said they were going to send a new kit and they did not!!!!

I am on my second treatment set of aligners. I started with a very slight problem with my front 4 teeth only. It was NOT a significant fix. It's been 8 MONTHS. My teeth are not straight. I wear the aligners and use the Hyper Byte as directed. Incredibly disappointed in the product - it does not work. Don't waste your money.

Byte owes me a refund that was approved by Byte management 4 weeks ago - stay away. I don’t think I’ve ever been treated so poorly by a business before. Byte owes me (and many others) a refund for not delivering the treatment that I paid for in full. After several years of unsuccessful treatment and multiple refinement plans, they paused all treatments in October 2024. Since then, it’s been impossible to get in touch with someone helpful to provide actual specific information about my case. They owe me a $1945 refund which they still have not issued. I was chatting with a customer service rep for 2 hours yesterday who gave the most dodgy vague responses and refused to connect me with someone who could help my case. Byte, please issue the owed refund that was approved by you 4 weeks ago. You failed to deliver on the agreed upon treatment and then left your customers hanging because you made poor business and treatment decisions inconsistent with FDA requirements.

I ended my 18 month journey with Byte as I was unable to achieve my goal "smile" despite 3 sets of impressions and aligners and following all instructions. The process of correcting issues is fairly tedious and takes a bit of time for the emails and phone calls so you end up behind schedule if you run into any problems. I chose to leave Byte and go to traditional braces and knew I did the absolute right thing from day one. I had cosmetic issue with my lower teeth that Byte did not even address and that I accepted as not fixable that were actually fixed on day one with braces. My bite was off enough that my teeth were not coming together properly which is now being fixed, what a difference! I feel that for a company that relies on client self report and email and phone calls that their service was not what I would expect. The 24 hr chat assistant is just an automated FAQ response, long wait times on hold with the call center and the phone app is just a reminder tool that does not keep pace with any changes in treatment. I will say that the support staff was always professional, courteous and encouraging but I always felt I was just talking to some kid who was responding via a checklist of replies to my concerns, never to an actual orthodontic specialist of any kind.

Thinking about getting aligners? Thinking about Byte? My advice, don’t. I believe in orthodontics because I had braces in my 30’s for very poorly aligned teeth and they worked beautifully. So when they needed a little tweak due to lost retainers I thought aligners were the way to go. I thought I did my due diligence and chose Byte. After 15 months, a lot of money and even more hassle I am VERY disappointed. All went well at first but when I tried to reach out for help and information, Byte’s phone message was that they were understaffed and not answering calls. It said to use the app or email. Well the app is a joke. And as far as emails, all of the responses are impersonal, transactional and robotic. I never felt like a person or even a customer with Byte. And even more importantly, their product just doesn’t work. After wearing the aligners almost every night, using their Hyperbyte, backtracking twice and getting 3 sets of impressions my teeth are somewhat better, but not nearly what I expected, or promised. I believe there is something wrong with the process, the technology. And the fact that Byte makes it impersonal has to be a part of that. Look elsewhere!

In hindsight what is clear is that the company did a great job at marketing its solution and a terrible job in planning out how to execute it right. Short version – go to a local orthodontist, and you will be MUCH happier in the end. Longer version – I am now 2 YEARS into my treatment and, as of today, they are telling me it will be April before I am done. My experience along the way has been very frustrating because you, the patient, must drive everything. Yes, they try to send automated reminders, but they are typically not at the right time or stage you are at. But I have spent SO MUCH time driving the process, and they are slow to respond, that I would have much rather have had a personal experience. So was less expensive than going local, yes. But after multiple restarts over 2 years, the frustration, the extra money, the lack of responsiveness, and the overall headache were NOT worth it. With the competition they have in the marketplace today, I don’t see their business model thriving unless they make changes.

Great, my teeth are back where they used to be after braces for years, in the short time of a few weeks. I was very disappointed with the whitening gel. I used it as directed but saw no difference in my teeth pertaining to whitening. Overall pleased with the outcome, wish the whitening worked out better.

This is my honest experience using Byte. I wanted a cheaper, more user friendly alternative to Invisalign, where I could straighten my teeth from the comfort of my home. I purchased Byte, did the teeth imprinting model (a bit uncomfortable, but fine overall), and received my At-Night aligners. Side note, the Byte customer sales reps are super friendly, if too pushy (one texted me nearly every day), but don't be fooled - once you purchase the product, you never hear from them again. So, my Byte aligners arrived. The first time I wore them, I could not remove them the next day. It was quite a scary experience. What had I just done?? I called one of the Byte customer folks (a dentist? try again) who assured me she would escalate my case. I didn't receive a call from anyone for hours. Later that evening, someone emailed me. Emailed me?? That is escalating my case?? Eventually I managed to gargle with hot water and use a plastic glove to remove them. A horrible experience. Even then, I thought oh, I'll keep going. I paid for the full aligners anyways. So I did. It's been over 5 months, and I am still using the aligners. The "two week" switch from one set of aligners to the next is complete bogus. They don't know how fast your teeth will move. At first, I was using the vibration device every day diligently. After nearly two months of this, I stopped. It wasn't worth the inconvenience, to me, and didn't seem to speed the teeth moving process along. Fast forward 5 months (yes, much longer than the projected time of wearing them), and I am still on aligner 9 for my lower teeth. My bottom teeth look MORE crowded than before, with the front bottom tooth overlapping the one next to it. You can bet I'm upset at this point. But, talking to an actual Byte dentist is impossible. I emailed several times, only to be emailed back with asking for more photos of my teeth, and to continue wearing my aligners diligently!! EYE ROLL. Speaking to an actual person is apparently outside their business model. All in all, I am still wearing the aligners, with no end in site. Would I recommend Byte? Absolutely not. Do yourself a favor and use Invisalign, where you get actual feedback from doctors and they have accountability. NOT WORTH THE PRICE, OR FRUSTRATION.
