I hate it! I got the platinum coverage and everything I call about is not covered. Waste of money!!!!!! Do not buy insurance. Worst of all, when you submit a claim it takes forever to get a technician out to your house. Worst insurance company ever.

STEER CLEAR OF THIS SCAM Select is a ripoff! This company is as bogus as It gets. Two homes covered with Platinum policies. I was never able to get any work done or covered at either home. After a few months I knew I had been scammed and asked for a refund, NO SERVICE AND NO REFUND!

Horrible company. My AC broke. AS it was hot outside, decided to fix it by getting my own contractor. Once issue was fixed submitted a claim, but they denied it, saying I should have had them approve it first. Wrong thinking morans from Select Home Warranty. My first thoughts would be to make sure my family is taken care of.

Do not get this warranty, called for a cooktop repair, took a service guy a month tko show up to diagnose the problem and never showed up again , after another weeks of calling the select company, they are just gonna have us fix our cooktop stoce and be reimburse for 150$. Beware of the them....

This is not really a home warranty at all. They tell you things are "covered" but only give a very small amount towards the repair or service and they come up with every excuse in the book not to pay. They are also very slow to respond.

I have made countless calls to the PHILLAPEAN call center where I STRUGGLE trying to explain things in BASIC ENGLISH . Countless follow up calls, estimates and reports on damage have gone unanswered. ALMOST EVERY CLAIM I HAVE MADE HAS BEEN REJECTED They take your money and DONT PAY FOR ANY REPAIRS stay away - seems like a big scam to me.

My microwave isn't working properly and I was told they don't fix microwaves. They would only give me $185 for the microwave which doesn't get me much to replace it. They wouldn't even look at it to see if was an easy fix. Not what I thought I signed up for!

If they do not insure the water heater except for mechanical issues that cost $50 or less to fix and if a mechanical issue does cause the water heater to fail and leaks water, they decline the claim. Because they does cover leaks. That is the poorest excuse for a coverage I've seen.

I have an additional coverage on the contract with my AC system for Freon refill. The Selected Home Warranty rejected to compensate my bill because it is caused by leakage which the policy does not covered. They knew very well that only leakage AC is going to need Freon refill. They are purposely cheating on customers.

Beware of the lying salesmen, they baffle you with Bs and dazzle you with FAST talking confusing un-honesty...making you believe you are covered when in fact, when you make a claim they come right back at you with it's not covered, didn't you read the tiniest fine print, sorry you did not understand we just make you believe your covered..

This is the absolute worst warranty on the market. My dishwasher broke and they called to tell me that they could not find a repair company in my area., a city of 320,000 people. that's preposterous! I am looking for another home warranty company.

I had select for almost 1 year and my garage door opener broke, I called for a repair and was denied without even an inspection. I ended up replacing it myself, now I do not know if it is worth it to pay for a home warranty if They do not do what they are there for. I am not renewing my contract.

We feel mislead, the warranty has not covered multiple items, only covered partial amounts, and it is extremely difficult to get technicians scheduled and out to our house in a timely manner. We have only had 1 positive experience, we wish we would have chosen a different company.

Took my money but somehow can't find anyone to come and service my refrigerator. Waiting 5 days, and the only thing they can tell me is that it's been escalated. Trying to get a refund and they are fighting me on that. Where is the negative stars. I don't even want to give them a one star.

Totally a rip off. No actual website or contracts. I submitted my claim after verifying my activation date. My claim was denied because its not a 30 day period which was previously stated but a 35 day due to using a credit card not check or cash

Select Home Warranty is great as long as you don't have a claim. But you can forget about them sending out a technician when something breaks down. Then Select Home Warranty will stall as long as possible before finally deciding NOT to pay you.

Worst customer service ever. Months upon months to get a reimbursement check. They will try to deny any claim you put in and their policy's are unreasonable. Lastly prepare for a long hold time on the phone. Please seek another company for your needs.

Horrible company. No wonder they were so much cheaper. They do not cover anything. I am back to american home shield and although it is more expensive they will cover your appliances. They offered me $50 for my subzero fridge saying it had depreciated. This is the worst experience I have had with a company. Beware!

SHW SCAM.... They are horrible...I made a claim for my heater going out and received an email that someone was contacted by SHW. Didn't here from them. Called the company that SHW stated they contacted and they didn't know anything about it. PLEASE DO NOT USE SHW... I thought I had researched the company... apparently not good enough.

scam artists. The first technician they sent out to repair my dryer damaged it more. They wanted to charge me another $60 to come back out. Turns out this guy damaged my dryer even more. Select is only willing to pay up to $150 to repair. I want my $60 back and the money to replace my dryer they damaged.

horrible company. They tell you you have a full coverage but when you need their help, they give you $150 only. I agree with other people here-- their good reviews are fake. It's like having car warranty and getting into an accident-- they only give you $150 no matter what their total coverage cost claims.

Complete mistake. Avoid this company at all costs. Literally stole my money, and then refused to pay for a covered major appliance replacement. Had to obtain a court order, because they were legally responsible, and then refused to pay the court order. Unethical and openly confrontational customer service.

HUGE delays in getting people out to your home for repairs, they cover virtually nothing unless it’s something small (got a broke fridge or hot water heater it will be on your dime) DO NOT go with this company, they will string you along and rip you off.

Call center is in the Philippines and just keep reading same thing over and over. said my roof leak isn't covered as it was improperly installed. Um - yea it worked for the last 14 years and passed all the inspections. that appears to be the goto catch all to not cover anything.

Customer service is terrible. I rated you 1 star because I could not give you a zero. Too long to respond. Can’t find contractors. Always an excuse. Oh and my favorite. Did I read the fine print. An ice maker is not part of a refrigerator it’s an extra policy. Will NEVER do another contract with Select EVER.

Useless in this beginning when we were buying the coverage they said they will do this do that but when I contact them for my sprinkler they said they can’t do that because it’s outside they can only do it if it’s inside so I recommend don’t buy the home warranty from this company

I was told they covered my AC and water well pump when I signed up. My AC quit working and I submitted a claim, they denied it. I fixed my AC and something else went wrong, they denied the next claim. My well pump motor quit working, they denied covering my pump.

Please ppl these are scammers, never believe their lies. They take your premiums and never render services, Nothing is covered!! I paid $500 worth of premiums before my cooling system needed repair, Freon not covered, the very basic and you pay $75 service charge!! I am reporting to BBB!!
