I had a claim. Claims could not get me a plumber, for a leaking hot water heater, for four days. When the finally got a plumber out, I Paid the $45 service charge, and the plumbers waited on the phone for SHW authorization for an hour and were going to just leave . Claim told me to go ahead and pay the plumber myself and that SHW would reimburse me. I paid as I was told to, and SHW (Supervisor JERMEL) refuses to return any calls and has NOT REFUNDED MY MONEY! Its a horrible company with deceptive practices, and they are NOT TRUE TO THEIR WORD OR PROMISES!

This company is trash. They look for every reason NOT to repair or replace your unit. And even after going through Better Business Bureau, they were unsuccessful in helping me get a refund of my money they owe me. Please stay away from this company. They are scams and frauds. They outsource all their employees to Philippines and they will spend hours and hours arguing with you about why they will not repair or replace your unit. A total nightmare. Never before have I had this much trouble from a supposed company. Please do NOT give them your money! You will lose it!

SCAM, call service contractor provided by Select and was told they don’t do work for this company because they do not pay for repairs done. Select says you are covered from the moment you make first payment but can not file a claim after 30 days. I filed a claim after 50 day’s and was told that coverage starts 30 after initial payment and claim have to be made 60 days after first payment. Stay away from this company

this company is biggest liars. when I was purchasing insurance they premise to cover all is says in contract. but the time when come to fix problem they refuse to do. customer service is so bad. the service company is working whit them from first day tell me select home warranty is not going to pay for your AC don't even try. very very bad service and big liars.

Per the contract, my central ac was not covered for 30 days after my policy started. It also states there is a 30 day waiting after you pay before coverage begins. THESE ARE NOT THE SAME THING! My AC broke down 48 days after my policy started. They wouldn't cover it! Everyone I spoke to just read the contract to me over and over. Whenever I would say that's 60 days nobody would acknowledge or repeat 60 days. They just kept reading the contract to me. They never paid anything

This is bad company. They will give me good offer when I try to get home warranty but after one year when I call for garbage disposal repair and this really cheap repair. They never take care of it so I end of to take care of it myself. They are in business to empty out your packet do not trust them. If you want to get more information look at customer review at better business bureau and consumer affairs. So you understand how they handle the customers claims.

Their service is just ok. I had a hard time getting a technician to my house. They don't contract with very good people but in the end they let you pick your own. They also don't pay for much for the first 6 months so if you bought a house like we did you'll pay for most of the fixes.

The worst experience in my life, I caution everyone not to even think about SELECT. They are out there to take your money and service is not part of their agenda . When you happen to have a claim, 1st they accept your claim, then in a couple hour you get an email with unjustified reasoning, saying by further review that claim is not accepted and not covered under my policy. And when you call and ask for explanation, they hung up on you, very rude and improper.BAD, WORSE, The time you have to spend on phone to get to any SELECT agent can average at least 45 minutes each time. Shameful

I signed up with this company in 2018 and bought a 3 yr package as it sounded like a good del. please do not do it. they have been increasingly hard to work with. they are not honoring their contract. all they do is keep transferring you from one rep to another. very frustrating, stay away from this company. all reviews on their website appear phony.

Don’t for a minute consider this company Filed a claim for electrical issue. 3 days later letter saying all techs were backlogged and could call electrician n submit for reimbursement. Well you know the answer to that one! While waiting for that expected response, the a/c stopped cooling, received same Letter ‘techs are backed up, can contract someone and submit for reimbursement.’ Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you.’ In addition, NEVER received a contract, even after 4 calls or a billing statement!

Select Home Warranty Horrible Service This company is sub par and provides horrible service. They even have the unmitigated gall to attempt to delegate their work which they should be performing to their paying customers. They often are unable to secure service providers to meet the needs of their customers and are generally lazy and unprofessional when interacting with their customers. My advice is to avoid Select Home Warranty at all costs as they are a complete waste of money and time. One of the worst organizations that I have ever encountered!

I would give this company a negative rating if I could. They are a fraud. Their advertisement is false; they do not replace. They offer you a replacement amount that is so low there is no way you can replace for that price. If you give them a poor rating they will try to increase you replacement value to get a good rating. Shady business practices, stay away from this company Stay away from this company.

Total False claims. DO NOT WASTE MONEY IN BUYINF SELECT HOME WARRANTY. IT IS SLIGHTLY CHEAPER BUT WORTHLESS. My AC is not working for almost 20 days. When I signed up I paid Select Home Warranty for 3 years on assuance that issues like these will be addressed quickly and save money on repairs. If can't fix will replace etc. ALL THEY OFFER ME IS $150 FOR ac repairs when compressor has gone bad.
