Worst company I have ever seen in my life. They charged $69.00 a month plus $100 deductible. I was told My coverage is $80,000 per year recently my 2 water heather broke and they only covered one and asked me to make payment on other one it was around $410. This company is totally scam never ever sign up for this company I’m going to cancel my membership right now. Whenever I called them to place claim either they don’t answer and send tech after a week or so!!!!! Worst worst worst company

Their initial response time is good - within a day. But after that, it's horrible. It took 3 weeks to get parts for a 3 year old Kenmore refrigerator. I recently filed a claim for a 13 year old Kenmore washing machine. It's been two weeks and they have not been able to tell me if they can get the parts. When I called, I was "disconnected" three times. Now I'm being told it will be another 48 hours (its Friday and weekends don't count) until they can decide what to do (further search for parts or pay for a replacement).

Called to cancel because lost income and they were going to charge me 376 dollars if I cancelled, if I can't afford the 50 dollars a month anymore how can I afford to pay them 376? Used one time 7 months ago and have been paying 50 a month since..will never buy from Sears again and diffidently will never buy the home warranty coverage. Elderly living on fixed income of 845 a month. Shame on them for talking into buying when I was going to repair outright..

DO NOT PAY FOR A SEARS HOME WARRANTY! Air Conditioner went out Friday a week ago and we still do not have Air Conditioning. Assigned A&E to the job. A&E did not show up for the scheduled appointment. Came on Saturday. Did not order the part until Monday. It is noon on the following Friday and they won't return my call. Sears Home Warranty Customer Service refuses to help me contact A&E even after I explained the company they assigned to me will not return my calls.

I've have Sears Home warranty and never used. Few weeks ago, my water softner went bad. I called, open a claim, paid the $100.00 deductible and they send a tech over my house. The tech found out that the water softner unit went bad and need replacement. Tech send the report to sears for the replacement, but I never heard back from sears. I decided to call to find out what's taking so long, so Sears denied my claim by telling me that the unit was not covered and they will no replace it. BEWARE SEARS HOME WARRANTY ARE A BIG SCAM. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR SERVICES. BEWARE!!!!!

Negative 50 is the review I would give Sears Home Warranty company if I could. Four repairmen have come out to fix a dishwasher that probably should be replaced! Would not order the correct inside unit for my air conditioner and wants me to pay for duct work that is incompatible with my unit. Customer service is a joke. There is no customer service. The representatives are condescending and will hang up in your face!! No wonder Sears is going out of business. If you must buy a home warranty, get it from another company. This company is Terrible!!!, Terrible!!!, Terrible!!!

bottomline: Don't buy this warranty. I don't think there is an actual office as no matter how you try to contact SearsHW (website, phone #s) for assistance, you end up getting routed to the local contractor & they won't do anything without a claim. The claim site does not work. It worked the first time I used it & now does not. Am submitting this "Write a Review" site to the AG appropriate office as it would seem a class action lawsuit will most likely be in the works.

Buyer beware, this warranty is a scam. First of all the 4 tech came out 4 different times and neither can replace a refig. door hinge. they order wrong part twice and forgot to order correct part one. after 30 days I cancelled the contract, Sears hit me with large penalty including cost of the wrong parts ordered by their technicians. When I cannot understand customer reps's poor english, she hangup on me twice

Had them do the heating system checkup last year. Was ok. Scheduled for today. Have units in basement and attic. Company sent one technician. Was able to do basement unit but needed another technician to help with attic. Called SEARS customer service. Theysaid that because service was performed on one unit they could not authorize another call for attic unit. Claimed I was receiving a free service. Paying $69.99 per month. I cancelled my contract, spoke to my attorney and plan to file claim for fees paid over several years.

Terrible experience. Our fridge has been down since July 2019, and although everyone is very courteous no one has been able to make and show up for an appointment. The worst part is that Sears passes the buck to Cross Country Home Services and they pass the buck to A&E Appliance Repair so no one is in charge or capable of making a commitment. Very sad that we ever thought enough of Sears to sign up for this service.

Bought Kenmore Elite refrigerator 3 years old compressor dies. Call for service tech wait 3 weeks. Orders parts parts arrive set up service date. Wait at home no one coming mixed up service date on their end. Will be another 3 weeks. Got run around by at least six people. Hire a local tech next time will cost less and be more reliable and not a SCAM

If I could, I'd give them zero stars. I was on the phone with them for an hour, transferred five times before someone would finally help me, and they treated me like an idiot. I needed someone to repair my refrigerator, and they couldn't schedule me for a month! Who can live without a fridge and freezer for a month? Worst service, worst customer support. Do not use them!

Sears home warranty is a scam! They will take your money and try to get out of repairs at all cost. The amount of time I have spent on the phone with them is ridiculous. Our unit broke and were without ac for two months in the south Texas heat. Entire company is disorganized and incompetent. Our second unit broke and said they weren’t covering it even though they had previously covered it. Referred back to their shameful contracts they hide behind. We have been customers with them for 4 years and this is how they treat us. Customers beware and avoid Sears Home Warranty at all costs!

Over one month and they have yet to repair our refrigerator. I have called and literally spent hours and hours on the phone with no resolution. Completely miss managed company and no compassion for their customers. They obviously have no concern for their reputation. It seems like they are just trying to collect as much money as possible to pay their investor before they close their doors permanently. Absolutely unacceptable service, disgusting company.

I can understand why this company is on the verge of going out of business, they charge a monthly fee, charge to respond to claim even if it the claim isn’t covered which you won’t know until you pay the technician then just to get charged another fee when you decide to cancel the service because you’re not satisfied. This company and they’re services is nothing but a bad joke.

Customer service with the home warranty company directly is terrible. The same few response phrases are used when dealing with an issue with their sub-contractors. Asking for a supervisor after a couple of weeks resulting in being put on a call-back list because the phone was not answered. Still have not heard from anyone several days later. Subcontractor has not fixed our AC unit going on three weeks now during the heat of summer. Will not answer the phone and promises communication and/or service and then nothing happens.

I had Sears for 14 months and never used them but just called from my kitchen refrigerator. Had to wait 2 weeks for a service appointment and then the day of the appointment Sears called and said the technician was sick and I needed to reschedule and next Avail was another 2 weeks out. That's a month to get my kitchen refrigerator fixed. I told them I wanted to cancel and they charged me a $25 cancelation fee! I couldn't talk to a manager and they gave me out of service 800 numbers to try an expedit my appointment. Waste of money.

I have being trying to get my washer fix since july. they sent a service man. couldn't work on it because it was staked. so they made another appointment . that afternoon again they only sent one guy.didn't know anything. so they res another appointment on my six appointment, i am so frustrated . i try cancelling their contract but they give you the round around, the worst service ever, then when you call to set an appointment you can't even understand the person they have working there. save your money.

I have had my refrigerator and range , both Kenmore repaired. My biggest complaint is the time frame from beginning to the repair. It took for both apprx 7 weeks to be repaired. Now 9 months later Refrigerator is broke just like the 1st time. Have to start a new claim its been a week and still no resolution if it will be repaired or replaced. A waiting game again

I came on here to complain, but it looks like it has all been said and then some! Has anyone had a good experience..... I think not. We have paid $699 per year for several years for the Sears Cap10 plan. We finally had to use them and "disappointed" is an understatement. They do not respond to emergencies, the wait time to speak to customer service is excessive, getting timely appointments are impossible. We ended up paying for a covered appliance out of pocket since it was an emergency - and they are not reimbursing us for this. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU NEVER USE SEARS WARRANTY.

If I could give SEARS a negative 5 stars, I would. WORST company to deal with ever, next to Best Buy. High monthly cost, blames user for damage, does NOT honor wty, and charges an additional $100 fee per visit. We used the washer 3x in a year because we don't live here full time. It's broken AGAIN and they said it's our fault. NEVER again will I used or buy from SEARS. Warn everyone! And just try to schedule a visit or get a person on the phone. they must hire three dummies to run the place.

I've had the Sears Whole Home Warranty for approximately two months now with 3 claims. Had no problem with my kitchen appliance and plumbing claims, but it was over a month long wait to have an electrician out to complete the 3rd claim, so I canceled this claim. Had I known there would be possible long wait times for some claims to be repaired, I would have given this Warranty Protection Program a second thought (:<)

If I could give this service less than 1 star I would. I have had nothing but a horrible bad experience with this company. I have had Sears Home Warranty Services for 3 years, that is 60 bucks for 36 months, I used them about 5 times . To be honest the work was minimally satisfactory, but I kept them. Now I have learned my lesson, how horrible they really are and have cancelled my account. Do not and I repeat do not use their services.

Horrible experience from start to finish. Technician cancelled 3 times. Replacement microwave never delivered after company rescheduled multiple times. I finally went to warehouse myself to pick it up. After requesting not to have first technician back again, Sears scheduled for him to come for the next repair. Calling customer service requires multiple transfers and at least 30-45 minute wait time to get to a person and even more time to resolve the issue with multiple calls. DO NOT use this company!

I have been calling Sears Home Warranty every week for 3 months trying to get someone out to repair my washer, and do my dryer’s annual maintenance. Each time, I’m told they can’t find a service provider in my area but that Sears will call me back in 72 hours to schedule someone. Sears has NEVER called me back. I can NEVER talk with a supervisor. I want all my ones back, including for the washer and dryer!!!

Sears Home Warranty is a joke. Do not waste your money. We called them out for our washing machine, needs to bearings, the technician scheduled an appointment with my husband when he was here for today. Never got a confirmation, so I called Sears to confirm. NOPE, they are still waiting for the part, it will be sent here 7-10 days from the first visit, THEN we can call to make an appointment. I have not done laundry in 5 days, it's getting so bad. I'd have been better off buying a new washing machine. I'm going to cancel as soon as this is fixed. I will never use them again.

I did call for my refrigerator that was not cooling. They scheduled an appointment for a week after I called them, meanwhile the refrigerator died, no way to get them sooner, the company that serves my area is from Brooklyn and only twice a week in the area; today when they arrived they said they have to order the parts and I might have to wait another week!!!!!

These people are dishonest and act in complete bad faith. Customer for 4 years with minor claims. A/C fan blower motor goes out. Out of A/C for 8 days when they finally send wrong part. Options were wait another week or hire their service provider to fix and seek reimbursement. SHW offered less than 1/2 of my cost, and still have not remitted after 30 days. Spent 7-8 hours on 20+ phone calls and emails asking for service and help. This company is totally corrupt.

Had the appliance warranty and upgraded. But when the furnace stopped working they said it wasn’t covered because of a pre existing condition. Also they said it had only been on warranty for 8 days so no. Basically they called us liars. The furnace worked all winter and then stopped. Now calling back and forth with them is ridiculous. Then they said they would pay to have a new one installed if we bought it. Now they say they never said that. Don’t buy sears....

I've had no trouble on the phone and they will come - usually a few days later. BUT ..... they have repaired the same problem on my washing machine four times now. I am told by the techs that they use inferior, refurbished parts (which, by the way, usually take up to two weeks to arrive, then I have to make another service call). So they appear to be unable to do a professional fix to keep the appliance operating. Let's see what happens when they come this Thursday for yet the same problem.

CONSTANT LIES!! every year something goes wrong with my ac unit. I always have to wait at least a week for them to show up. They never come on time. When they do, they just diagnose the problem and say they have to order part. They never come back when promised or show at all! I suggest 2nd wind. They came when they said and fixed it right away. Their "service" is a joke. My elderly mother should not have to run down people to do what she pays for when she needs them shes left to suffer in a hot house for days on end. Shame on you sears.

After 11 months paying the monthly 49.99, my dryer stopped working. I called to have a technician come out on Thursday May 9. She said she could not find the part. Also she stated if the part is unavailable I would have the option to either accept a check or choose from a list of qualifying models to replace. the bad gas dryer. The following Tuesday, I was offered by phone $23.47 toward a new dryer. I declined. Instead I bought a new one for $901.03. I plan to give them a chance to reimburse me in full.

LONG LONG HOLD TIMES....They declined my claim because of maintenance, I showed them multiple maintenance records, but they denied the claim stating that I might have paid for the maintenance, but the company may not have done the job properly and that I should have check to make sure. Home Warranty is not a real thing! If I could give a negative rating I would! We have been 6 weeks without a working dishwasher. One of the assigned technicians broke a copper pipe. Another technician came and said the other technician broke it. No one will take responsibility for the damage. I am switched from person to person while listening to annoying music, only to get put on hold again. Sears and Sedgwick pass this back and forth and nothing is done. No one seems to know how to resolve our issue. The lack of ability to get anything done is astonishing.

We just had an ice market that didn't work on a $2850 LG refrigerator. They came out 3 times ordering the wrong parts etc. and couldn't fix. They ordered 3 more parts including a new compressor etc. They came in put all those in and guess what no ice and freezer and refrigerator don't work . All groceries ruined, no one coming out until Tuesday and no supervisor to talk to. I hope they didn't ruin my refrigerator, They can come out for 3 days. No refrigerator for weekend.

I wish I could give them 0 stars! The WORST company to deal with. We pay the $49.99 a month for them schedule appointments that never existed, tell us the technician is on his way when he's really not, tell us we have 4 different service appointments for the same issue, but really there never was a service appointment. I would not recommend buying anything from Sears let alone their warranty! Horrible.

Do NOT purchase a Sears Home Warranty...you will regret it. My fridge broke and I was without a fridge for a month and a half and had to call DAILY to get them to finally replace it. Now I'm trying to cancel my agreement as the headache of dealing with them is not worth the plan and they say it's a year plan and I would have to pay a penalty. You will never get the same person on the phone when you call and each person tells you something different. ZERO STARS!

After having Sears for several years and being happy with their service they completely changed their plans. We had an issue with our A/C under the new plan and they sent someone out ($100 to show up) they took 3 hours to figure out that the pan inside the air handler was cracked and that was why the system was leaking. The next day we got a call saying that the part and service was not covered because we broke the pan that is INSIDE the air handler. Called their service department and got told "too bad, this is what the service guy said, suck it up or pay $900 to cancel."

I foolishly thought it would be a good idea to sign up for the warranty service. I could not have been more wrong. Over a three month period, I have had no less than 8 technicians out to my home to repair a four year old washer. It is till in disrepair. I am beyond angry and upset. I can't wait until this contract ends and I will be done with Sears forever.

Sears warranty sucks I have warranty on my refrigerator and been broken since February and until this date it does not work they have been here to fix number of time the recent visit was April 9, 2019 and it does not work still. All they do is fix it with not luck I have the best warranty that it gets replaced if it doesn't work lemon law. I guess not!!!

The only reason I gave 1 star is that 0 stars was not an option. I am scheduled for my 5th visit by repair technicians for a dishwasher repair. I have had the absolute worst technicians, the worst sears service customer service representatives and still no resolution with my dishwasher. When I wanted to cancel my service contract I was told they would send a bill for what had been spent on the dishwasher to this point. Definitely not worth the money I am paying monthly. They have overall poor ratings for a reason. If you are considering home warranties— STAY AWAY FROM SEARS

In September 0f 2019 they came to fix my gas oven. had to fine the part for it since it could not be fix. Did not hear from them for a month. Called them to follow up, they could not fine the part for it. I was informed if they could not fix it they would replace it. I gave them all the measurements of the oven. To this date April 03, 2019 my wall oven has not been replace.

Our Kenmore dishwasher went out so I called Sears Home Service. The technician said if we bought the Sears Home Warranty that our dishwasher would be covered. I would have to pay $99 for the service call & the $69.99/mo for 12 mo. So I did. I could go into a lot of detail but the bottom line is that for 41 days we had no dishwasher & Sears could never find the parts. I asked to cancel the contract & give me refund. I was told I wold have to pay $35 to cancel and get no money back. Sears Home Warranty is the worst!!!!!!!

sears replaced seal on my freezer 3 times and the problem is still remaining. Also ice maker has been replaced 2 times. It is leaking still. technician came today and said setting was set too high, so why didn't he fix that in the first place. I will wait to see if that works. It took them 3 tries to repair my dishwasher. When I call home warranty they can't get me to a supervisor and don't want to hear complaints, I don't think technicians are well trained.

For 4 months they tried to fix my stove, including 3 visits by repairmen and lies from the customer service department that they were sending my case to the authorizations department to provide money to purchase a new stove. This last time I tried to complain, they said they would try to fix it one more time even though they repeated could not fix it in 4 months. I cancelled my contract to cut my continuing losses of $50 a month for a useless contract. Crooks. Do not ever buy a Sears Home Warranty.
