As long time dedicated policy customer i feel that the last request could have been handled better. My out of pocket expense for some may be ok. But a 78yr old Vietnam veteran and with a disabled bedridden With it has really caused financial problems. The company is top notch, but the policy needs to be scrutinized and understood completely. The "If can't fix will replace" can leave you deviated. To say the least!

Go through a realtor to get a warranty, they can get a better policy for you. I am a realtor and I can see all the different warranties that are out there. I think that Choice is the best one so I started it as a test. I’ve only had a couple of problems and they were handled quickly. Two years ago they replaced my air conditioning.

CHW replaced a hot water heater and installed an expansion tank on 10-06-21. I understand non-coverage of permits/fees, sheet rock repair, special modifications, disposal costs, and non-essential, upgrades, or luxury components to covered systems. However, I do not understand why expansion tanks for water heaters are not covered. It is illegal to install/replace a water heater without an expansion tank in the state of Arkansas, so why isn't that covered? I also have difficulty understanding how $816.00 was authorized for non-covered costs. All parts and labor for replacing the water heater is (or should be) covered. Parts and labor for installing a 2-gallon expansion tank costs no more than $325 ($255.00 for Choice's rate of 3 hours labor @$85.00 per hour, and $70.00 for the expansion tank and installation accessories. AR permits and fees are $45.00. A disposal fee is $65.00. If you then add the $65.00 copay, the total amounts to $500.00, which is significantly less than the $816.00 that CHW authorized for non-covered expense. In addition, the following non-covered expenses, much of which comprised this $816.00, were not needed, nor did the provider submit them in his repair diagnosis for this project: a drain pan, a pressure reducing valve, vent/flue modification, a valve upgrade, ceiling/wall modifications, and the only piping modification consisted of adding one 12-inch section of galvanized steel pipe. So help me understand the purpose of the remaining $316.00 in non-covered costs. I think that by anybody's standard, $816.00 for non-covered costs for this project is excessive! To the provider's credit, he worked with me on $216.00 of this excess cost, which is another indicator that the non-covered expense was excessive. And finally, as a housekeeping comment, I received 9 email messages that my equipment and parts had been ordered, all with different dates/times, but all were identical messages. Six of the nine email messages were transmitted after the project was completed.

I reached out to his home warranty and I scheduled another appointment to finish the one that was previously not completed when I reached out the operator assured me that it would be taking care of them that I would be hearing from the company soon well when I did hear from the company they had told me that they had canceled that order and that I would have to restart the process all over again that I wasn't happy with my understanding that any work done is guaranteed for 3 to 6 months far as I'm concerned the first is it from the company was not completed and I still have no light fixture in my bedroom which was one of the problems

One time I had to use it on my air conditioner and it was almost ten days or more before they actually could get someone out here and get it fixed, so I had to stay away from home and I wasn't real pleased with that but I was pleased with the work. I've been real pleased with everything that I've ever had to have done. Because of where I live it's hard to get a serviceman out quickly, although last time they did get one quickly on a plumber. Over all I've been pleased with my services.

Both the technicians that came to the property were a very nice young men and did a good job. We came back from summer vacation and the hot water heater did not work when I turn the breaker on. Choice sent a technician out and they pulled part of the front of the hot water heater off to check and determined at that point in time that there was corrosion and work needed to be done. However Choice said that because the cover was off there was a faulty service on it and they would not cover it. Another time was for the washing machine and they covered that very nicely. The technician came in and did a nice job.

Choice Home warranty picks up the phone and answer. The person they sent out was very knowledgeable. My air condition quit working about two weeks ago. I just like it that they answer the phone and communicate with you and they'll just charge you the service fee and the repair and find someone for you instead of me having to find somebody.

We had a different company before and Choice matched to the service with a low cost. We had a problem with the washing machine, it was taken care of. We needed one part and because of Covid there was a problem but that wasn't because of them. The one time we needed them for the air conditioning, it was making a lot of noise, and the technician came out two times and found they couldn't do anything.

I like that they have a flat right service fee. I also like that if they can't find someone, they allow you to find your own company an submit it for reimbursement. They also work to get things completed quickly. If we have any questions, they answer them completely. Some of the companies they use don't communicate well and don't contact the customer in a timely manner.

There are times when it takes a lot to get a technician out and sometimes I feel like I am not able to get all the information I need but it is a good price for the options that are covered and they are very helpful and friendly. When I needed a new water heater, it was initially difficult to get a technician to work with my schedule. It took 4 days from the time the unit was ready to be picked up until it was actually installed. I was without hot water for the duration. I had to repeatedly call the plumbing company to see when they would get it. I found out that I was taking to dispatch and not purchasing Dept. So she called and got in touch with purchasing and found out the the wrong company was being emailed to pick up the unit. When the plumbers got here they Hsiang the wrong size unit snd had to go to Home Depot to pick a 40 gallon water heater with a 3 year warranty. For some reason I fell like I didn't get the unit I paid $500 for uncovered costs.

They promptly come out when they say they're going to come out. It's a good value what you pay for with the warranty. The quality is good, they were very effective ,they called someone right away and that's the person I expected at the appointment and he has been good. He ordered the parts and came back and installed the parts of the dishwasher but the he couldn't do that to the microwave. I've called them about the three appliances, I have the microwave oven and the dishwasher, the oven once and nothing was wrong with it they had the to reset the electricity on it and it worked, and the dishwasher had a minor issue that they fixed. The microwave apparently could not be fixed. I was only offered one hundred and ninety one dollars and that is not to mention the installment value because it has to fit over the oven. Customer support is good, they were very receptive they act pretty quickly. It has been a good experience on that level. I do have an issue with that refund the policy that I they decided to give me a replacement on my microwave but they didn't give me the full value are you really never understood why that is because for me to replace it I have to pay full value they said they won't do that.

We've had to use our warranty twice. Both times we have technicians out within forty eight hours of our service call, both technicians were professional on the job and with the problem being resolved fairly quickly. They offer a solid home warranty product that enables the customer to choose what level they want to service their home and it's a decent value for what you get. I've had great customer service at this point, haven't had any problems getting service or being administered.

Some of the guys that they sent out haven't actually been companies that deal with what there's been out with. For example we had an electrical issue with the ceiling fan and he came out and looked at it and it turns out that there was a whole other a light switch that was attached to it which my husband got up and figured out on his own. So we paid a service fee for basically nothing. We also needed it to fix a washing machine. And they came out and fixed our washing machine. It definitely broke again but they did fix it the first time. They're usually pretty good about getting back but occasionally it takes a little while.

I'm not really a hundred percent satisfied. The process is not transparent, I would rather spend a couple hundred dollars more to get a peace of mind by going to a better company if they can offer me you know no hassle service. I would want them to be more professional. Recently I requested for a repair on my cooktop and the company came, the technician came he tried his best to fix it, he said he needed to order some parts and come back. A couple of days later I got an email from choice saying my whole cooktop is in fact a commercial problem and they decline to cover any further repair on the cooktop which was absurd.
