It takes FOREVER to get a technician out. I'm now going on 4 weeks without a dishwasher because the tech that they send won't give us an ETA on when a simple latch will arrive which I could have ordered in 48 hours on Amazon. As a broker, I have always pushed to have a CHW policy provided for my client but this is the first time I've lived in a home covered by CHW. Needless to say, I will no longer be negotiating to add CHW policies for my clients.

Wait way to long for service. They don’t replace you appliances they give you values half if lucky of what they are worth. Had problems with Air Conditioning in the summer Florida heat. Didn’t get a service tech for several weeks. That’s a good service I think not. Very unhappy. Got it fixed and replaced on my own. Problems with other appliances same garbage show. I will never purchase one again

Would not replace grinding motor on first tech visit .Said " not failed yet so will not repair.Motor seized up that PM(holiday week-end )and 107+ degrees!!Called back and tech returned the next week said motor seized up and would replace.Choice declined saying lack of maintenance was the cause.....THIS MOTOR WAS 44 YEARS OLD!!!A month later still no a/c.Decided to replace unit and will cancel Choice and find another provider.I understand that this is typical of Choice.

I like that I had a technician come and restart my AC. He said he put in a dye to see where the compressor problem might be. The AC worked for about a week, then stopped. I have had a problem since July 28th. The inside temps of my house have been 88- 89 degrees. The original company is 2 hours away. That company didn’t like working for Choice . In the mean time I’m without a working AC. Waiting for the email Choice promised me about who will fix it.

My rating is purely based on my last encounter. The Customer Service Department is horrible. They have no desire in getting claims addressed in a timely/satisfactory manner. Although they ordered the wrong part, we had to suffer and pay more. It has always been a struggle to get appliances repaired, however, the issue with my air conditioner tops everything. We have been without our unit for at least a month in 2023 with triple digit record heat daily. No company treats their valuable customers in such an inhumane fashion! We are highly dissatisfied!

I wish I didn't use Choice. I needed it to get my garage door opener fixed and it took me probably 42 hours on hold trying to get through to somebody that actually would take care of it. Every time you call, they put you through a bot system that keeps giving you a new claim number. So I had like 3 claim numbers on the same issue and I just needed to speak to somebody.

I've been trying for two to three weeks to get a couple of problems squared away. The people they keep sending out say they cannot work on the particular type of air conditioning equipment, even though they're pretty standard in the industry. I'm trying to use it and they can't seem to send the correct people out to take care of my problems.

I am very unhappy with the recent request for service. My AC is out and it’s in the 90’s in Tennessee. It took two days for someone to accept the bid and when they did the appoint was two weeks away. When I went to sign up to find my own service tech, the SAME company had canceled and then picked it up again for the same two week appointment. I’ve made an appointment with another company and will pay for it myself. They are coming tomorrow to fix my air conditioner. I am seriously considering NOT renewing my contract with you.

I've had a claim for my fridge in for almost a month now. The service man said it was not repairable due to parts. That was a week ago and I've heard nothing. I've called three times and emailed once to get an update and all I'm told is that it was "in process". They were waiting to hear from the Sears technician. That's been a week. I can't get anybody to get this moving forward. The claims people are NO help. I guess the next battle will be over how much they're going to pay me for it. If this is the way they do business, I will not do business with them again.

Difficult to contact by phone, takes a while to find repair service local to us, Choice does anything they can to refuse to pay a claim, especially for big ticket items. They refused to replace our furnace stating it was normal wear and tear so I’m not sure what they would cover. Very misleading and not consumer friendly. I do not recommend.

Choice warranty is the worst home warranty company I have dealt with. I have emails from the company of one price I had to pay the contractor and then raised it $900. When I asked for justification I was told I had to talk to the contractor. So I did that and they say they have not changed their diagnosis. So call back and no one will send me any documentation justifying the increase. That is all I ask, if warranted then no problem. But to just completely tell a customer no is BS.

Seems that many times the item that needs repair is not covered because a little part is not covered. Other times, the part needs to be ordered. It has taken up to 80 days to repair an appliance, like the AC. My Water heater or water softener were not covered at all . I paid the service charge and my premium faithfully for no service. What a gimmick they have going. I’m planning on switching to something else!

Contractors don't want to work with them as they don't pay like they say in 30 days. Could not find a garage door repair except by me calling them and they did not want anything to do with Choice. My other time I used Choice took over two weeks to get a leaking drain fixed. I had to make all the calls to find out why it wad not getting done. Will not renew with Chouce.

I am reluctant to even give one star to Choice Home Warranty. Worst home warranty company ever. I filed a claim on July 10, 2023. It took one month to get a service technician to come to my home to check microwave. He said it was an easy repair and would submit info to company. Took two weeks before I got an email saying repair was authorized; I have not anything since then. I sent several emails to choice and have yet to get a response. I don't have the time to wait for hours on the phone for a "live" person
